High Expectations- Major Disappointments
These are dramas with high ratings and/ or came highly recommended.
I was HIGHLY disappointed with the end result.
Waste your time if you want to; this is just a warning.

1. Goblin
Korean Drama - 2016, 16 episodes
My memory isn't that bad to where I need a flashback every 10 minutes. Nor do I need said flashbacks to last half the length of the actual episode. It could have seriously been condensed to 10 episodes. Also the chemistry with the ML and FL was not all that great. The bromance was the only entertaining bit of this show. (Oh and the outfits were A1)

2. Nu Îndrăzni Să Visezi
Korean Drama - 2016, 24 episodes
This is the drama, after Goblin, that I REALLY despise... like I'm pissed off I wasted my time on this one. Where do I even BEGIN with this one?! I'll keep it short in that I hated the mains and wished for their deaths. Never felt such strong dislike for characters before other than the bad guys in 'Silenced' (and if you've seen that movie then you know what I'm talking about). Ever hear of SMLS? (Second Male Lead Syndrome) Until I watched this drama I never had that happen to me and boy was it bad with this one. Guy really was perfection, everything you could want in a guy he was, yet the FL chose the ML who verbally abused her for YEARS...
I'll end it there because I'm getting mad all over again.

3. Alias: Healer
Korean Drama - 2014, 20 episodes
Weak FL lead who needs a man to protect her- this trope is the worst of the worst for me. Couple with a convoluted story that was just weird- I don't get how this is worthy of praise... oh wait yes I do, and his name is Ji Chang Wook. Look the dude is very VERY good looking but as I watch more dramas it's clear he has been typed cast. I'm sure he can do more but he doesn't get the chance.

4. City Hunter
Korean Drama - 2011, 20 episodes
This is basically another Healer... or Healer is another City Hunter- who cares. Anyway we have yet another weak FL played by the same actress (she might be typed cast as well... either way I refuse to watch anything with her again) needing a guy to protect her. Besides that, the story is full of plot holes and after a couple episodes I stopped taking it seriously. Weirdly though I enjoyed this more than Healer (don't ask why cause I don't even know).

5. Advance Bravely
Chinese Drama - 2017, 30 episodes
I was expecting another 'Addicted Heroin' from the reviews I came across and was excited as I loved Addicted- what a glorious let down this was. I get China and their censorship of bl but this was HORRENDOUS! The story itself didn't really make sense and the final episode is literally a joke. It seems they ran out of funds and finished the show as a cartoon (I'm not kidding, go watch the last few minutes of the last epi...) that ended on a cliffhanger, like any person would even watch that.

6. Le Jun Kai
Chinese Drama - 2013, 9 episodes
This show I personally just found hard to watch because of the abuse towards the FL. The ML was doing way to much to exact his revenge and this very short drama took me a while to finish.

7. The Flame's Daughter
Chinese Drama - 2018, 52 episodes
I came into this expecting another TMOPB's and I shouldn't have done that, but then again people told me it was just as good. Did we even watch the same drama?! I want to say the first 20 episodes were decent, they kept my attention but this was NOTHING like TMOPB's despite having a lot of the same actors. It dragged and the plot really just lost it's steam. The mains lacked chemistry and I just wanted the FL to end up alone despite the possible 3 suitors.

8. Legend of Fu Yao
Chinese Drama - 2018, 66 episodes
I think the fans of Yang Mi and TMOPB's suckered me into watching this lol She always plays kick-ass characters and Fu Yao is no different... kinda. She's strong but then she kinda depends on the ML for help- weird. Anyway the story was fine for the first kingdom then dragged after that. It got good again for a couple episodes towards the end but then dragged again. The ending... that ending pissed me off. Lazy writer(s) who rushed to come up with something even if it made no sense and had no resolutions- those are the worst endings.

9. Final Life
Japanese Drama - 2017, 12 episodes
Nothing bad was ever uttered about this drama, plus it has Matsuda so that was a added bonus. OMG! What trash this was! lol It didn't make me angry like most of the other dramas on this list while watching. This was portrayed as a serious show but it's just masquerading as a music video for Taemin lol Nonsensical plot, characters using English when they really didn't have to so it was hella awkward, and the ending that I didn't care for but in the end I didn't really care to much.

10. Love O2O
Chinese Drama - 2016, 30 episodes
Besides Yang Yang's kissing skills, I don't see the appeal in this drama at all. I must admit that I was really into this drama for like the first 10 episodes but then the fun quickly vanished. Its so dry and boring and I was waiting for something major to happen and nothing ever did. The mains believed in each other when others tried to tear them apart and I really liked that but that meant no conflict happened, which is what you kinda need in a drama to make it somewhat entertaining. Also the characters of KO and Mr. Beauty I think needed more screen time as well, their interactions with each other was cute.

11. Man to Man
Korean Drama - 2017, 16 episodes
I was expecting major action with awkward but funny situations with a little bit of a love story on the side- this was not that. In your typical k-drama fashion this starts off strong with a compelling story only to revert to boring same ol rom/with a tiny bit of com. The fl is ugly and annoying and just ruins every scene she's in. Even with the handsome-ness of Hae jin and the amazing acting of Sung woong, this drama can't be saved. I had to drop it after 11/16 episodes as I just could not see myself wasting another 5 hrs of my life on this- 11 was way more than enough.
