So Much For My Happy Ending

All of these dramas didn't pan out the way I had hoped by the end of the drama, and sometimes, you want that kind of drama where it's really good until the ending, and sometimes, that's the last kind of drama you want to watch.  I've been lucky to only truly come across a handful thus far since starting dramas this year, but they were a few that apparently a lot of people are feeling the blues after watching them.

Wow, it almost felt from the first scene between Duk Sun and Hwan, I already was rooting for them.  I think back to watching it, and I can't remember if it was when he teased her about her Olympics outfit or even before that (which turned out to be the pivotal scene they used in flashbacks).  It was almost immediately, and even up to that 19th episode, my heart was still in it wishing this was gonna turn around for the better.

As painful as it became, I'm very happy we got the love confession at the table because if they hadn't have at least given us that, I would've been even more upset.  When he said I love you, I about catapulted off the sofa in screams!  I honestly can't stop watching that scene above all else.  I like to torture myself with my dramas.

There was something so lovable and yet lonely about Hwan to me.  I think he was like his mother in that he put outward love last on his list (even though he would try so hard to give Duk Sun numerous hints).  Maybe a part of him was fearful they would end up being like his parents with that constant struggle.

Their chemistry was off the charts for me the entire drama.  I thought they had this underlying hormonal chemistry like the erotic books they were reading (alley scene, tearing off his shirt staring at each other, skinship with her grabbing on him), and I really was praying for at least one kind of passionate all out kiss after they kept showing us all of that.

Taek was fulfilling her second child syndrome desire to be loved without guilt, hesitation and openly to others.  I understood why the writers went there, but it doesn't make it hurt any less.  I never hesitated in thinking he wasn't over the moon for her.   He did his job, but in my heart, I will always want Duk Sun and Hwan to find their way back to each other.
