My Fav BLs (with some GL’s)

An ordered list of all the BL, Bromance, and GL’s I have completed, ranked from my PERSONAL favourites to least favourites with a plot description and short review of my thoughts, (check my profile for more information about my ratings and their meanings). I will not include shows I’m currently watching or have dropped, nor will I be including special episodes, separate cut/uncut versions, or behind the scenes. Any dramas with no plot descriptions at the bottom of this list just haven’t been reviewed yet, I will get around to writing one and moving them to their correct placement on the list eventually lmao.  [WARNING- This list is currently being mostly redone, with many series being moved around and I will be strongly editing their reviews. All reviews before place 168 are accurate, the ones below this are being fixed

  • The Stranded

    101. The Stranded

    Thai Drama - 2019, 7 episodes

    9.5

Wow, this was so inclusive and diverse I loved it. If you’ve seen Lost, White Christmas, and Lord of the Flies, then this series may remind you of all three combined into one show. In this mini series, a tsunami hits a small island leaving 36 students stranded on their own, fighting for a way home. However, as they continue to explore the island, they realise there’s more to the island and themselves than what they realise. Unexpectedly they begin to awaken supernatural powers out of their control. This features a gay couple, a lesbian couple, a bromance, and straight couples. The gay couple, Jack and Krit, were so adorable and my heart broke for them so many times! The lesbian couple, Arisa and Ying, were also two of my favourite characters, especially Arisa who was so awesome despite everyone hating her. The bromance, Gun and Nat, didn’t have very many moments but I really loved them regardless! I would definitely recommend this series, but be warned that this ends on a cliffhanger and the main actor, Beam, sadly passed away in 2022 so a sequel is not going to happen. This series contains happiness, sadness, and deaths that will leave you in tears, so it’s definitely not the typical happy-go-lucky drama but I still enjoyed it so much and highly recommend it!

  • Fish Upon the Sky

    102. Fish Upon the Sky

    Thai Drama - 2021, 12 episodes

This is one of those cute, lighthearted dramas you can watch whenever you’re not really feeling like dedicating yourself to a full dramatic series, but still want to watch some good BL. This is about Pi, a small “nerdy” boy with braces and glasses who has never had a real friend before and is always being compared to his handsome older brother. One day when a boy called Nan shares his umbrella with Pi, Pi begins to fall for Nan and decides to change himself and become more handsome to beat his ‘rival’. His rival is Mork, Nan’s best friend who is always by his side. After an incident where Pi got drunk and accidentally kissed Mork thinking he was Nan, a picture of this went viral and everyone in the university began shipping Mork and Pi. As Pi tries to clear the misunderstanding with Nan, he slowly begins questioning if the feelings he had for Nan are strong enough to last, especially when being around Mork causes his heart to pound. Will Pi continue to fight for Nan’s love, or will he give in to his heart and Mork’s steady advances. I really did enjoy this series although it was very slow, predictable and the ending had a random and disappointing plot twist. I also didn’t like the problematic scene where the characters wore a fake beard and turban and used heavy accents to creat a distraction as it felt uncomfortable to watch, but other than that I enjoyed it.

  • Diary of Tootsies

    103. Diary of Tootsies

    Thai Drama - 2016, 12 episodes

    9.5

This was absolutely hilarious, fun, and so chaotic that I nearly started crying with laughter! This drama focuses on a group featuring three gay men: Gus, Golf, and Kim, and the lesbian Natty. This show was about the four of them being heartbroken, and searching for love. Their friendship is enviable, and I couldn’t stop laughing throughout this series. It shows very cliche gay guys, who act quite feminine, and dress in drag a lot. Because of this, I was expecting the entire show to only be a comedy focused on making the audience laugh, but there were also some serious moments too, which I loved. Under the humour they explore sensitive topics such as STI’s, homophobia, infidelity, age gaps and maturity levels in queer relationships, as so much more. There is a series of different events which take place throughout this series as we explore each of these characters lives, which was a really fun and unique way to focus on character stories. Originally I didn’t think I would take this show that seriously, but when Gus got together with his new boyfriend, Top, I felt so invested in their relationship and thought they were so cute together. This was such a great gay comedy series with fun, campy humour that I couldn’t stop watching.

  • Love Storm

    104. Love Storm

    Thai Drama - 2022, 13 episodes

    8.5

This is a very fun series with a good combination of funny, sweet, sad, and spicy scenes, featuring two main couples that both get an equal amount of screen time. The first couple is Phayu and Rain, who meet after Rain’s car breaks down and Phayu happens to be nearby and helps. They meet again with seniors from their university and Rain’s car breaks down again, so Phayu takes the car back to his garage. They immediately feel a connection between them, but Rain dislikes Phayu’s excessive flirting and decides he’s going to make Phayu fall in love with him to get back at him. This plan ultimately backfires as Rain falls in love with Phayu and they begin dating. Phayu works as a mechanic for an illegal street race, so when he offends the son of a rich businessman who decides to go after Rain as revenge, can Phayu keep Rain safe from the people who plan to hurt him? We then meet the second couple, Rain’s friend Sky and Phayu’s friend Prapai who meet at one of the illegal races. Prapai rescues Sky from being arrested, as Sky was not supposed to be at this race, and sleeps with him in exchange. Sky is ashamed after what he did and avoids Prapai, which only makes him want Sky more. However, Sky’s previous relationship was filled with abuse and violence, to the extent he is afraid to fall in love. Will Prapai be able to break down Sky’s walls and help him learn to trust others and move on from his fears of love, or will Sky’s trauma continue to push Prapai further away? And what happens when Prapai meet the person who traumatised the man he has fallen in love with? At times this series gets quite dark but overall it was pretty sweet and I enjoyed it a lot. The chemistry between both couples is seriously on another level, the NC scenes made my blush a lot!! This was a great drama with fantastic acting and direction, it’s not a perfect series and I do think it’s slightly overrated, but I enjoyed it regardless.

  • Ameiro Paradox

    105. Ameiro Paradox

    Japanese Drama - 2022, 8 episodes

    8.0

Short and sweet, I really enjoyed it. This series is about Onoe, a reporter for a gossip magazine who has just been paired up with Kaburagi, a photographer on the stake-out team. Kaburagi is known to flirt around and has dated and hooked up with multiple people, he is basically the polar opposite of Onoe. Onoe considers him to be his rival and decides to work with him while secretly trying to beat him and get the best article on the front page. However, the two soon realise they work very well together, tackling huge scandal after scandal and making a name for themselves. As they work together they find that the feelings between them go beyond just coworkers or rivals. Kaburagi is afraid that if he and Onoe date, Onoe will change and loose his kindhearted nature in the same way Kaburagi lost his, writing articles for the public uncaring of who it hurts in the process. Therefore he chooses to hold Onoe at arms length and avoid him. Can Kaburagi overcome his fear of love, or will his fears be confirmed and will Onoe really change? This was so sweet and interesting but wayyyyy too short, their chemistry was amazing and I immediately wanted more from them. I also love the focus on paparazzi and how these kinds of jobs can change people and have both positive and negative effects on yourself and the people around you. I highly recommend this series as something short and sweet when you have some free time.

  • Monster Next Door

    106. Monster Next Door

    Thai Drama - 2024, 12 episodes

    9.0

Introvert X Extrovert. A fantastic idea, now give me 93792+ more BL’s just like it lmao. I wasn’t sure what to expect coming into this but I actually enjoyed it a lot. This series focuses on Diew, an introvert with a fear of strangers and whose best friend is his pet turtle. One day someone moves into the room across from his flat, a man named God. God is an extrovert who regularly brings his friends over for loud parties, affecting Diew’s sleep schedule and annoying him. He leaves God a note asking him to be more quiet and God, feeling guilty starts buying him snacks and talking to him from across the balcony. The problem is, they’ve never seen each other’s faces. Despite that, God begins to fall for Diew and confesses to him. Diew tells him he will consider it as long as they won’t meet each other and see each other’s faces until they are both ready. Although God agrees, shortly after they end up leaving their apartment at the name time and run into each other, instantly recognising the other. Diew, now knowing what God looks like, decides to try opening his heart. But when his overprotective mother and ex-boyfriend each come into the picture, will things between them take a turn for the worse? This was such a fun and enjoyable series, the main couple were adorable and the side couples were cute too. I loved the representations of the introverted characters vs the extroverted characters, I feel like it accurately sums up the fears and joys love can bring. I highly recommend this for a cute series to enjoy in your free time, it’s definitely not perfect but there’s something so awesome and down to earth about it. I hope you like it as much as I did!

  • Hidamari ga Kikoeru

    107. Hidamari ga Kikoeru

    Japanese Movie - 2017

    8.5

I was very surprised that this movie wasn’t more popular or talked about, but fortunately a lot of people have come back to this movie since a popular series adaptation was released in 2024. This movie is about a boy that is partially deaf called Sugihara Kohei, and the only sound he can hear clearly is another boys voice called Taiichi. Because of this, he asks Taiichi if he can write notes for him in his classes in exchange for lunches he makes. Over time Kohei ends up falling for the boy who voice he can clearly hear. This was really sweet and cute! It was like nothing I was expecting, and I really enjoyed it, it was an emotional, cute rollercoaster! I just wish they could have made a second movie, so we could see Taiichi and Kohei officially get together. I haven’t actually seen the series version yet but I know it’s very highly rated and lot of people have enjoyed it, so I’m sure that I’ll end up liking it and if you give this movie a try, I’m sure you will too!

  • Hidden Agenda

    108. Hidden Agenda

    Thai Drama - 2023, 12 episodes

    8.5

Simple, sweet and in my opinion, very overhated. That’s the best way I can describe this series. This focuses on Zo, a student in the debate club who is building up the courage to confess his feelings towards Nita, another girl on the debate team. He decides to ask for help to date her from her ex boyfriend, Joke. What he doesn’t know, is that Joke has had a crush on Zo for a while and is using this chance to make his own move on Zo. Will Zo’s attempts to win over Nita work, or will Joke’s feelings get through to Zo before he has a chance to confess? JoongDunk easily have some of the best chemistry out of all GMMTV BL ships, though I find they can be very unlucky with the series they’re given, as their chemistry isn’t coming through as well. Honestly, JoongDunk are a ship that seem to have better chemistry off screen than on screen, which I totally blame the directors and scriptwriters for. This was a very simple series, don’t go into this expecting anything extraordinary. It’s charm lies in it’s simplicity in my opinion. This is definitely a comfort series for me and I did really enjoy it despite all the hate it got. Although I do recommend this series, be warned that it’s not very popular on MDL so you may not enjoy it as much as I did.

  • The Effect

    109. The Effect

    Thai Drama - 2019, 3 episodes

    9.0

MAJOR TRIGGER WARNING!! This series contains graphic SA and rape in a way that is very traumatising and realistic, if you are not 100% certain you could stomach these themes, DO NOT WATCH THIS!! But on the other hand, if you have ever wanted to watch a show that portrays awful, sensitive topics in a realistic way and touches on serious, taboo cases, handling them so well that it becomes deep and painful to watch. If that is the case, look no further than this show right here. This is about a boy called Shin that has just joined his 1st year in University. He is grouped in his first project with two boys, Bright and Pramote, who end up becoming his close friends. One day he runs into his senior, Keng, a model student who everyone admires. When he and Keng become closer, and Keng begins to see Shin as more than just a friend, jealousy occurs. Keng’s friend Man has had a crush on him for a while, but has been rejected many times. When he sees how close Keng and Shin have become he posts a photo of Keng and Shin from a highly suggestive angle, leading the school to think Keng and Shin are dating. When Shin tries to cut ties with Keng, he comes over to a Shins house and confesses to Shin, but he can’t handle the following rejection. This is the turning point, from here Keng turns into a monster for what he does next. This series is called The Effect, because it’s about cause and effect. For every cause there is an effect, for every action there is a consequence. Now we’re looking at the effect, the consequences of Keng’s actions, and what they turn the sweet, gentle Shin into. Will Shin survive after his world is broken apart, and can his friends save him from the thoughts in his head? This is insanely triggering and not something I could ever watch again, but wow if this isn’t a spectacular series and one I’m so grateful to have been made.

  • WISH YOU: Your Melody From My Heart the Movie
    9.0

Decided to watch the movie instead of the series as I was told this was better as it has an extra 20 minutes that wasn’t in the series, and other than that it was the exact same things. This series is about Yoo Sang Yi, a keyboardist working at a large record company. One day he sees Kang In Soo, an aspiring singer, singing and playing the guitar in public and falls in love with his voice. Sang Yi overhears his name and researches him to find some of his songs he’s uploaded on YouTube. His coworker, Lee Yoo Jin, sees him listening to In Soo’s songs and asks to listen. She loves his voice too and at the next company meeting she brings him up to their Team Leader. They reach out to In Soo and sign him under the company. One of the conditions for his offer is that one of the company members must move in with him and they decide that person will be Sang Yi. As the two live together and connect with each other, Sang Yi begins to fall in love with In Soo. Unfortunate, if In Soo is to debut, he can’t be caught in a relationship, especially with another man. Can their feelings be reciprocated even when their dreams are standing in the way? Although their wasn’t a lot of development with the characters as we know next to nothing about who they are, especially In Soo who remained a mystery the entire time. Despite this the pacing was great and the build up of feelings was at a great speed despite a relatively short run time. Very happy with this.

  • Only Boo!

    111. Only Boo!

    Thai Drama - 2024, 12 episodes

    8.5

Please don’t hate me for this one, but honestly I did enjoy this series, but apparently not as much as everyone else. This is a very highly rated BL series with some people considering this the best BL in 2024, but honestly this didn’t even make my top 10 BL’s from 2024, so I suggest taking my review very lightly because apparently I didn’t see the same appeal that everyone else saw. This series is about Moo, a boy who dreams of becoming an idol despite his mother’s disapproval. After he skips an important exam for an audition, his mother decides to send him away to the country side so he can finish his education with no distractions. It’s there that he meets Kang, a boy who sells curry-rice at his mothers restaurant and works at the school Moo will be attending. For Moo, this meeting was love at first sight and he spends his time trying to make Kang fall in love with him, whilst balancing training with his two newest friends, Potae and Payos. However, the idol industry is tough with strict rules, including the important ban on dating. Moo does not care about this rule and wants to continue pursuing Kang, but Kang wants Moo to succeed in his dream. Will their relationship survive the harsh industry they’re entering, or will they be forced apart in pursuit of their dreams and futures? Please don’t get me wrong, this was an adorable BL with a couple that had amazing chemistry and great acting, and I also liked the side couple too. I just think it’s really overrated and there are so many BL’s out there that I would place above this one. There were many overused troupes and I felt like it was trying too hard to recreate the success of My School President. Despite my thoughts, this is very popular and well loved, so if the plot sounds interesting to you I definitely suggest checking it out as you’ll most likely enjoy and appreciate it more than I did lmao.

  • 112. Bed Friend

    Thai Drama - 2023, 10 episodes

    8.5

A series that broke my heart into pieces then carefully pieces it back together. Before I start, I want to give a MAJOR trigger warning for rape, SA and depression. This drama is about Uea, who works in the same office as playboy, King. Uea has a horrible past, being abused by his mother, SA’d by his stepfather, and cheated on by his now ex boyfriend. As a result, he often avoids other people, especially King who keeps trying to get Uea to sleep with him. One night, after a work party, the two get drunk and have a one night stand. This starts a weird relationship between them where they agree to become friends with benefits with no strings attached. However, when King falls for Uea for real and begins trying to court him, how will Uea react when, at the same time, his mother is trying to set him up with an older man who is Uea’s companies newest boss? This is the same man who has been harassing Uea for a while, going as far as groping and assaulting him, then threatening his job should he tell anyone about the harassment. This series was so triggering but amazing at the same time. Uea has such a horrific past and childhood, I’m so glad he found King who was surprisingly a total green flag boyfriend. James did an amazing job in the role of Uea, and I loved how themes of SA were taken seriously, not romanticised, and played out very carefully. The chemistry between the couple was INTENSE, especially the sexual tension, and I loved the ending so much, it was so sweet and a great place to end where the sequel Middleman’s Love will begin. I definitely recommend this series if you’re okay with watching a spicy series containing the trigger warnings above!

  • Jun and Jun

    113. Jun and Jun

    Korean Drama - 2023, 8 episodes

    8.5

The best way to describe this series is “simple but enjoyable”, it’s something short and sweet that you can enjoy in your free time without looking too deeply at the plot. This series is about a former kpop trainee called Lee Jun, who has given up his trainee life to work in an office as an intern in a cosmetic firm. There he meets Choi Jun, his manager, who is someone he recognises from his past, before he became a trainee. As the two reunite old feelings begin to spark. Can a love story between a manager and his intern work out, or will it only lead to heartbreak and despair? I really enjoyed this series, I don’t think it was anything particularly special but it was interesting and a great watch. However, I will add on that this is a very popular Korean BL that many people have watched and loved, so my review may not do this series justice as I enjoyed it but still don’t really understand all the hype about it. Regardless, I still highly recommend this as a sweet break if you’ve been watching a lot of heavier BL’s recently, this has very little plot as the story is carried by the beautiful romance between the two main characters. It’s pretty short, so I definitely recommend giving it a try if you’re interested.

  • Man's Romance

    114. Man's Romance

    Korean TV Show - 2022, 11 episodes

    8.5

As South Korea’s first gay reality dating show, this was an awesome journey and a huge leap for queer Koreans. I’m so happy to see Korea slowly becoming more progressive and I can only hope that someday all queer couples will have equal rights over in Korea. This dating show features 8 gay men Changyu (my favourite), Changmin, Seonyul, Eunchan, Jeonghyun, Hyukjun, Hyeon, and Hokeep (my other favourite). Throughout this show, these 8 men live together in the same house for one week whilst sharing rooms/beds, going on dates, and getting to know each other. At the end of each day, they have the opportunity to call one person and express their feelings to that person. By the end of the week, they can choose the man they are most attracted to. If that man reciprocates their feelings, then they’ll leave the house together as a newly formed couple. Those who don’t find a relationship will leave still single. I personally made the mistake of watching season 2 before this one, so this season unfortunately felt a little disappointing and boring in comparison, but I still did enjoy it regardless. Sadly I just think no dating show will ever top His Man season 2 for me. Even so, I do think you should give this a go if you’re interested in dating shows, mainly because it’s the first gay dating show in Korea and without this, we wouldn’t have had season 2 or 3 (still hoping for a season 4!!!).

  • Cherry Blossoms After Winter

    115. Cherry Blossoms After Winter

    Korean Drama - 2022, 8 episodes

    8.5

This was a series I was so excited for and had been anticipating for so long. While I don’t feel like it lived up to all my expectations due to the short run time, I still really enjoyed this when it came out due to my love of the Manhwa. This series is about Haebom who lost his parents when he was young and was adopted by his mother’s best friend, moving in with her and her son Taeseong, who was Haebom’s childhood best friend. Growing up they became distant shortly after Haebom moved in but reconnected in high school after Taeseong discovered Haebom was being bullied and couldn’t keep hiding his feelings. After confessing to Haebom and being rejected due to Haebom fearing his feelings were not as strong as Taeseongs, which would hurt them both in the long run, he finally agrees to confront his feelings and the two begin to secretly date and move out of Taeseongs mothers house to get their own flat together. However, will their Mum be able to accept a relationship between her son and the other boy she raised as  a son? The manhwa for this series is one of my all time favourites which made me feel a little disappointed since several of my favourite scenes weren’t included in this series due to lack of time. I don’t really feel like they had enough time to fully explore the characters and their actions, and because of this the chemistry was slightly lacking. I did still enjoy this series while watching it and recommend it as something short and cute, but I do still wish it may get another full length live action remake in the future.

  • My Pistachio

    116. My Pistachio

    Korean Movie - 2018

    9.5

This was a really cliche but cute, short movie around 19 minutes long. It’s about an aspiring actor named Muyeong who has a crush on his senior Hanbit. He is too nervous to confess his attraction so he tries to audition for the lead role in a play Hanbit is directing about someone who has hidden feelings for another. However, Hanbit doesn’t take him seriously and refuses him the role, believing Muyeong doesn’t have what it takes. One day when the acting club are all having a drink Muyeong drinks too much and decides to act out the main character of the play, impressing Hanbit with his acting skills. However, when the lead actor turns out to be sick on the day of rehearsal for the schools director, it’s up to Muyeong to save the play, and along the way find the courage to confess his feelings to Hanbit. This was so cute and romantic, and I had no problems with it being short. But I would love to have a sequel or even a full length adaptation to see what becomes of Hanbit and Muyeong’s future and relationship. If you liked the movie ‘Long time no see’ you will like this, as it features the same actors, which was amazing! I would definitely try this one out and see what you think of it.

  • Love is Dang Nyang Dang Nyang

    117. Love is Dang Nyang Dang Nyang

    Korean Drama - 2022, 11 episodes

    8.5

Do you love your pets? I’m sure the answer to that is yes. If so, do you love them enough to date a human version of them? This series is about Jung Woo a man who lives alone and works in a cafe with his boss, Uncle (yes, that is his name lmao). Jung Woo used to have two pets, a dog named Choco and a cat named Milk, but they both died a few years ago. One day he finishes work and heads back to his apartment where he meets two strange and handsome men who call his name and hug him. They introduce themselves as Choco and Milk, the pets Jung Woo used to have, offering past memories together as proof. They both move in to live with Jung Woo, who finally feels himself getting happier with their presence in his life. But what happens when his feelings for Choco surpass the usual dog-owner bond, especially when Jung Woo is unaware that their time as humans is only temporary. Meanwhile Choco and Milk are both taken to the cafe where Jung Woo works and meet Uncle who is immediately drawn to the elusive and affectionate Milk. Uncle makes it his mission to make Milk warm up to him, but what happens when feelings of love surface between the two. Can these two couples make it when no one knows exactly how much time Choco and Milk have left? This was an awesome series, definitely not perfect but very impressive coming from a Strongberry production. The acting and chemistry was pretty good though I wish there was a longer run time, I’m still holding my breath for a season 2 so hopefully we’ll get to see more of Choco/Jung Woo and Uncle/Milk soon. It was a weird series if you focus on the whole “dating my pet dog” plot, but if you look past that it was a cool and funny series that I highly recommend.

  • Because of You

    118. Because of You

    Taiwanese Drama - 2020, 10 episodes

    9.0

This series was WAYY to short, but I really enjoyed it at the time! This is a Taiwanese BL focusing on the love lives of three half brothers, Yuan Jun Cheng, Yuan Jun Dao, and Yuan Jun Ping. The brothers all have different mothers but all share a rich father who is the CEO of his own company. Because they’re all in line to take on this position, none of the brothers are very close. When the oldest brother, Yuan Jun Cheng returns from Korea and is attacked, he meets Lin Xun who saves him and helps him escape. Shortly after the attack, he is called for a meeting with his father and brothers where he discovers that Lin Xun might be another of their half brothers, because their parents were lovers many years ago. The father tells the brothers that whoever can become closest to him and discover if he is his son, will be granted 1 request. The two other brothers, Jun Dao and Jun Ping, get their loved ones to secretly help them. Through this we meet Yuan Jun Dao and his roommate Yang Xiang, and Yuan Jun Ping and his best friend Yan Yue. As the brothers begin to repair their relationship, while beginning romantic relationships themselves, will Jun Cheng manage to get the happy ending he longs for with the one he has grown to love, or will Lin Xun really be his brother and ruin any chance of love between them? This was such a great series and although it’s short and very fast paced, it’s still so good. The acting is pretty good and chemistry is great despite the short run time. Unfortunately this is a series I’ve rewatched recently and with much better quality BL’s having released in the past few years, I found that my memory of this series made it seem better than it actually was. There were rumours that this was getting a second season, but it’s been years with no word so unfortunately I doubt it. I have no regrets about watching this series, but I don’t think I can rewatch it again anymore despite how much I enjoyed it at the time.

  • You Make Me Dance

    119. You Make Me Dance

    Korean Drama - 2021, 8 episodes

    9.0

I believe this is one of those BL series that you’ll either love and really enjoy, or hate and find it super boring. Personally I understand the hate and criticism this series got, but I still really enjoyed it a lot! This series is about Song Shi On, a dancer who is in a lot of debt with Chachacha capital and is trying to find a way to pay it all off. There he meets Jin Hong Seok, a man who gave up his dream of being a pianist to become a debt collector. Shi On needs to pay the capital back the money he borrowed, and to do this he auditions for the role of a lead dancer, hoping that if he wins he can pay off his debt. Hong Seok doubts Shi On’s capability’s so he moves in with him to ensure Shi On will do everything he can to win this competition and pay the company back the money he owes. However, one of Shi On’s jealous teammates alongside the CEO of Chachacha capital, Cha Soo Ryeon, are constantly trying to sabotage and pull the two apart. Will their efforts succeed or will Shi On and Hong Seok fight will all their might to remain by each other’s side? The main actor for this series got into a lot of controversy for supposedly being embarrassed about being in a BL before and has ignored the fact that he was ever in this series. While that is a disappointing mindset to have, I don’t really have much of an opinion about it as unfortunately BL actors ignoring their previous BL roles is not a new thing to happen. Aside from the real life controversy’s, I still really enjoyed this series and have rewatched it many times already. The chemistry was great, so was the dancing, and I was very impressed by the acting. The series fans far too short and obviously low budget, but I think they made a good series out of what they had.

  • Great Men Academy

    120. Great Men Academy

    Thai Drama - 2019, 8 episodes

    9.0

I don’t know if I would completely consider this as a BL, as this is a body swap with a girl turning into a guy, but I’m putting it anyway as it was so good. This is about a girl called Love who has a crush on a guy called Vier. He attends the Great Men Academy, where they hold an annual contest where the winner gains the title ‘The Greatest’, and is granted a wish from a unicorn living in the nearby forest. Vier has won the contest for the past 2 years and wants to win again so he can be ‘The Greatest’ 3 years in a row like his father. One day after Love gets suspended from school, she comes across the injured unicorn, and helps it, receiving  a free wish. She thinks of Vier and tells the unicorn she wants her love to be fulfilled, but it interprets her wish differently and turns her into a guy. She/He enrolls in The Great Men Academy to try to get close to Vier, but attracts the attention of his roommate Tangmo (who is the best character in the series) and he ends up falling for her/him. She now has a choice to make, will she continue pursuing the cold-hearted Vier, or allow her heart to turn towards the kind-hearted Tangmo. Incase you can’t tell, I have major second lead syndrome for Tangmo lmao. I can honestly say this is one of the few BLs where I love almost all the characters (other than Vier who sometimes can be an idiot). The plot may sound tacky, but it was so good, and is definitely a must watch in my opinion. You will most likely have second lead syndrome and fall in love with Tangmo like myself and most other fans of this series have!! I highly recommend this one, if it’s a plot you’re interested in then I’m sure you won’t regret it!!

  • La Pluie

    121. La Pluie

    Thai Drama - 2023, 12 episodes

    8.0

Amazing plot with a strong start but unfortunately ended in a weak finish, which shouldn’t have been a surprise considering the previous works the scriptwriter has done, but disappointing nonetheless. This series is about a world of soulmates, when it rains two soulmates become deaf and can only hear each other’s voice, no matter where they are in the world as long as it’s raining in both of their locations then they can hear each other’s voices, they gain their hearing back when the rain stops. The main character, Saengtai, hates the idea of soulmates after witnessing his parents love and marriage fall apart despite them also being soulmates. As a result he ignores his soulmates voice for two years. At least until one day when he meets his soulmate, Phat, in real life at the cafe he usually goes to and recognises his voice. Phat is immediately attracted to Saengtai, expressing his interest and asking him out, not knowing the two are soulmates. Despite Saengtai’s hatred of soulmates and the idea that fate only determines who you will love and spend your life with, he is surprised to realise Phat has feelings for him even though he doesn’t know they are soulmates. Will Saengtai give Phat a chance to let their soulmate bond grow, or will he continue to run from the idea of his soulmate? I absolutely loved this at first and it definitely had the potential to be in my top 10 favourite BL’s, but unfortunately after episode 6 I noticed it was slowly going downhill. It had a lot of potential and it was a very enjoyable series, I just wish the screenwriters and directors did a better job because the actors were amazing. I absolutely love soulmate AU’s so I hope we get to see more BL’s like this in the future!!

  • Star and Sky: Sky in Your Heart

    122. Star and Sky: Sky in Your Heart

    Thai Drama - 2022, 8 episodes

    9.0

I really liked this and it hurts my heart to see how overhated this is, it was definitely a short and sweet series that follows up as a sequel to Star in My Mind the series, so I highly recommend starting this after finishing that series otherwise certain scenes won’t make much sense. I suppose technically this could be watched as a stand alone, but it’s better to get the context that Star in My Mind provides first. This drama is about Kuafah, a doctor who is forced to take on community service in a remote village with his friends, JJ and Mesa, after being involved in a drunk driving incident. While up in the mountains, he meets the volunteer teacher Prince, who expresses an instant dislike for him, believing him to just be a snobby rich guy. However, as they spend more time in the village together, Prince soon realises his earlier perceptions of Kuafah were wrong and feelings begin to develop between the two of them. But one simple question remains, can the love between two very different people in two different stages of life work out well, or will it turn into a disaster? I liked this drama a lot more than it’s prequel SIMM the series, as the scenery, setting and cinematography were so much more beautiful, and the main couple had a lot of chemistry together (though JoongDunk definitely had them beat in terms of chemistry). Although I don’t think either of these series are a must watch, I would still recommend giving them a go and seeing what you think if simple, cutesy BL’s are something you enjoy.

    Chinese Drama - 2020, 36 episodes

Originally I dropped this because I couldn’t stand the FL but nw that I finished it I’m so glad I picked it back up. Although this series is only a light bromance but the ML and FL get together, this isn’t one to watch specifically for this aspect. However if you want to watch it for the amazing plot as they work together to solve crimes then you won’t regret it! This series is set in 1920 and is about Lu Yao, an intelligent man who recently returned to China after studying in Cambridge. When he was framed for a murder he didn’t commit the chief inspector/ex gangster Qiao Chusheng forces him to help the investigation joined by the reporter and Chusheng’s bosses daughter, Bai Youning. After the case is solved Lu Yao lost his job and eventually joins the police force with Chusheng to have some income. As he can’t afford to pay his rent Bai Youning moves in with him as his roommate after having a fight with her father who is a large crime boss in Shanghai. However as the 3 of them continue to solve crimes and murders committed, it appears each case they handle has got something in common that connects them all, and this connection could be the end of Lu Yao’s life. I really didn’t expect to enjoy this so much, and I will give you the warning that at first Bai Younings character is really annoying, but I promise you she gets so much better and I actually liked her in the end. I would definitely recommend this series if you love detective thrillers as much as I do!

  • Dark Blue Kiss

    124. Dark Blue Kiss

    Thai Drama - 2019, 12 episodes

    8.5

The sequel of Kiss: the series, and Kiss Me Again, you probably can watch this as a stand alone but I recommend at least watching Kiss Me Again although they were only a side couple there. This series is based on the continuation of Kao and Pete’s relationship whilst the engineering students are searching for internship experience. Kao is working as a tutor to bring in money for his sister to continue her studies abroad, while Pete is competing in the Aboyz competition to win the title of “most handsome boy” against his enemy, Non. Non happens to be the son of Kao’s mothers boss, and Kao is being pressured to tutor Non after his mother is given a promotion. However, after Non begins to flirt with Kao, Pete intervenes, driving a wedge between Kao and Pete that they must work together to get over. Meanwhile, we also get a closer look at Sun and Mork as the two of them grow even closer after Mork starts working at Sun’s cafe. There they must confront their feelings and help each other to stay safe. I came into this with high hopes and while I don’t think it met those expectations, I still think this was a pretty good series. I’m just sick of this thing that most BL sequels do, where they need to create some drama to make things interesting so they add in another potential love interest to drive a wedge between the main couple, after a certain point this plot device gets old and very boring. Despite this, I know that this series did have its flaws, but I still I would definitely recommend that all KaoPete and SunMork lovers should watch this! TayNew have such fantastic chemistry and I’d love to see many more series from them!

  • Together with Me

    125. Together with Me

    Thai Drama - 2017, 13 episodes

    9.0

An iconic classic that I believe every BL fan should watch at least once as the beginning of MaxTul’s ship. This series is kind of like the side story to Bad Romance. This focuses on the hilarious but sad story of how Korn and Knock became a couple, and the objects attempting to prevent this. As these two childhood friends reunite and get drunk with several other girls, they end up sleeping together that night and wake up drunk and panicking over what they’ve done. The problem is that Knock has a girlfriend and yet has began developing feelings for Korn who returns his feelings but knows Knock will continue to choose his girlfriend over him. Will Knock finally choose to put Korn first with the help of their friends, or will Korn eventually give up on Knock and move on? While there are a few boring moments, overall this is really cute and fun, but I wish they had gotten together earlier, not on the very last episode. We also meet some new characters not in Bad Romance, like Farm, and see his abusive relationship with his first ever boyfriend, who I absolutely despise but love the actor for!! Even if you haven’t seen Bad Romance, I still think this is highly worth watching at least once.

  • Customized Companion

    126. Customized Companion

    Chinese Movie - 2017

    9.0

I still can’t believe this was actually a Chinese BL and not pushed down into a Bromance. It was such a good film! This was about a boy called Xiao Fang that had fallen out of love with his partner, so he downloads an app which creates his own special companion. His companion is called Lin and is essentially a human appearing device that only he can see. He can’t touch the companion until he falls 100% in love with him, but when he grows to love the companion, what will happen to his relationship with his real-life boyfriend? However, when his boyfriend, Hao Wen, discovers his secret, he decides to download his own companion that he soon also falls in love with. The two grow even further apart, but will a situation happen to bring them back together? And will they realise in time that the companions which brought them further apart, can be the same ones to bring them back together again? I really enjoyed this one, it had plot twists which I never expected and great chemistry between the couples, especially for a Chinese BL. I think I keep highlighting that this was a BL movie released in China because some people don’t understand just how crazy that it. I would definitely recommend this film a lot for an interesting, suspenseful romance plot!

    127. I Wanna Bite It

    Korean Drama - 2022, 8 episodes

This is a Korean BL series thats far too short but very sweet with an interesting plot. This drama focuses on a vampire called Jun Ho who will soon die, the only way to keep him alive will be by drinking the blood of a human with ‘pure’ blood. One day he meets Min Hyun, a human who’s scent gives away the fact that he has pure blood and could be Jun Ho’s only chance to survive. Jun Ho decides to befriend him, hoping to find an opportunity to get his blood, and invites him over to his house. The two grow closer in this time and eventually develop feelings for each other, but in the end Jun Ho still has a choice to make. Will he be able to betray Min Hyun’s trust and drink from him in time, or will the guilt of using Min Hyun end up being Jun Ho’s downfall? I honestly did like this series, it was just far too short. I think with a longer run time and better character writing this series could have been even better. Regardless, it was a pretty good series that I enjoyed a lot, and was a wonderful introduction to Kim Jiwoong before he debut in ZeroBaseOne. The acting was great and I would love to see a sequel of this series, and to eventually see Jiwoong return to acting in BL series after ZB1 disbands if that’s something he would also be interested in!!

  • From Now To The Past

    128. From Now To The Past

    Chinese Movie - 2015

    8.5

This is a short movie that is only around 8 minutes long, but I really enjoyed it regardless. This is the story of a man who is getting married to a woman, but kisses his best man just before the ceremony. His soon to be wife sees this, then at the reception asks him if he really loves her. Then it ends on an unexpected and sad note as an accident happens and a life is lost. I’ll try not to spoil it because it’s only very short, but I really encourage you to watch this. Even though it is very sad, it has a fairly straightforward plot with a fantastic kiss scene. I could barely believe this was a Chinese BL when I saw that kiss and the chemistry behind it. This short film stands as a great summary for the fragility of love, it might not be perfect but I still recommend giving this one a go!!!!

  • 2 Moons 2

    129. 2 Moons 2

    Thai Drama - 2019, 12 episodes

    8.5

This was so cute, sweet and pure, but definitely a product of its time. In this series you have 3 main couples. First we have Wayo, a junior who joins a university to see his life long crush, Pha. Pha is the most handsome boy in the year, and the moon of the campus. Wayo has the opportunity to take part in a competition to become the faculty’s new moon, which allows him to get even closer to Pha. At first he and Pha don’t get along, as Pha always teases him, but as the competition grows nearer, Pha realises why he seems to recognise Wayo so much, and more of their past is revealed. In the competition Wayo’s best friend Ming is also a competitor. Ming was typically a playboy, dating many girls, and was a bit of a womaniser. However, when he meets Pha’s friend Kit, he suddenly changes, and wants to be in a serious relationship with him. Kit is very sweet, but also sharp-tongued and not afraid to voice his thoughts. He avoids Ming and first, but as they grow closer, he starts to see Ming in a different light. Finally Pha’s other friend Beam had been in love with Kit for a while and was heartbroken after discovering Kit and Ming’s growing relationship. in his heartbreak he runs into Forth, an ex-faculty moon who used to have a crush on Wayo, and the two end up getting drunk and sleeping together. Afterwards Forth cannot stop thinking about Beam and tries to court him, but Beam just wants to forget it ever happened. As Forth continues moving forward, Beam can only move so far back, before he begins to meet Forth in the middle, and eventually return his feelings. This was a remake of 2 Moons and the acting and chemistry was definitely so much better, I liked the cast choice more as they were gorgeous, perfect, and really fit their characters! If you’re interested in the 2 Moons franchise, I would definitely recommend this one over the original by far.

This was unfortunately just about a bromance, but the plot itself has something for everyone to enjoy. This film is about a boy called Kang Chan who is a tough guy well known for his strength. He transfers to a new school and befriends the “Top Dog” of the class, Jin Woo. But when one of his old classmates, Tae Woong, appears and threatens to expose his tragic past he must fight to protect his secret, while Jin Woo begins to get jealous of Kang Chans strength. This had a bit of everything for you to enjoy. It had a lot of violence and drama, but also some enviable friendships, and a lot of comedy, especially at the end. I honestly don’t understand how anyone could hate this film, it was so good and inspiring. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone as long as you are aware that the scenes between Kang Chan and Tae Woong, who are the bromance, are minimal at best, and the bromance is implied but sadly leads no where. If you’re wanting to watch this movie expecting them to have any romantic moments, you’ll be very disappointed. But if you want to watch a funny, action-packed film with awesome friendships and a fairly cute Bromance, please give this a go and I assure you that you won’t regret it!!

GMMTV’s first GL series, which went to MilkLove as it should!! I’ll be totally honest, this was not a perfect series by any means but I love MilkLove and I’m desperate for Thailand to start producing more GL series, so I’ll take whatever I can get. This series is about Ongsa, an introvert who transfers to a new school her sister and cousin attend. On the first day she meets Sun, a bright extrovert with lots of friends, who helps her get to school on her motorcycle. Ongsa has an IG account named Earth, and she begins following and chatting to Sun on there. Sun assumes Ongsa is a guy, which Ongsa doesn’t correct as she’s developing feelings for Sun. The two grow closer both in person and chatting online. But what happens when Sun finds out who Earth is, can she forgive Ongsa for the deceit and will Sun be able to return Ongsa’s feelings? Meanwhile, Ongsa’s cousin Aylin is approached by her senior, Luna, to join the schools astrology club. Aylin is a character who is clearly autistic and has a special interest in Aliens, believing the reason she struggles to communicate with humans is because she is an alien not from this world. Luna tries to help Aylin communicate and make friends, but Aylin clearly has some trauma and refuses her attempts. Can the two of them overcome this hurdle and will feelings begin developing between them in the meantime? This was a very simple but adorable series. MilkLove as OngsaSun and ViewJune as LunaAylin were our two adorable couples, however we also saw an additional two couples, one being between two female teachers (little fun fact but both teachers are played by transgender actresses which made me so happy), and an implied relationship between Tinh and Mawin, who were absolutely adorable. If you have an interest in GL series set in a school setting, I definitely recommend this series!

  • Deep Night

    Thai Drama - 2024, 8 episodes

While this series wasn’t perfect, I found it really enjoyable and fun. I’m gonna state a major spoiler as I know some people are not interested in polyamorous relationships, but the second lead romance is actually a throuple, a relationship of three people. So if that’s something you’re against watching then be warned that, if you start this, you may be skipping several scenes in the final 2 episodes. But if you’re like me and enjoy the exploration of polyamorous relationships, you’ll probably love this even more. This series is about Khemtid, whose mother owns a host club called Deep Night, a place that employs handsome men to perform incredible acrobatics and keep guests company as they drink. Khem will someday inherit this bar and he discovers that his classmate Wela is the number 1 host at the club. He decides to work there in secret to get closer to Wela, mesmerised by his incredible skills. However, the club has one major rule that all hosts must follow, dating among coworkers is not allowed. As the two grow closer, will they be able to hide their relationship despite this rule, or will it push them further apart. Meanwhile, Khem’s friend Japan also joins the club as a waiter where he meets and falls for the number 2 host Seiji. While Seiji does return Japan’s feelings, another host and his longtime friend Ken also has feelings for him. Ken and Japan both compete for Seiji’s love, but when Khem makes a joke to Japan that they should just have a three-way relationship, Japan wonders if there’s enough love in Seiji’s heart for both himself and Ken at once. How will all these relationships last under the clubs ironclad rules? This was such a fun series, it wasn’t perfect but it was very enjoyable nonetheless. I also love how there’s another gay couple and a lesbian couple too that are supposedly getting their own mini series soon. This is definitely a series I recommend for something fun and lighthearted!

  • Twins

    133. Twins

    Thai Drama - 2023, 12 episodes

This was one of those series which starts really well then falls off by the end. This series is about the identical twins Sprite and Zee. Sprite is on his schools judo team and is one of the best in the club, bright and happy and makes friends easily. Zee is on his schools volleyball team and is the polar opposite of Sprite. One day, after Sprite wins a big judo competition and impresses his coach, two other members in the club are jealous and hire some people to beat up Sprite and put him in a coma. What they and the men they hire don’t realise is that the one they beat was not Sprite but Zee. Blaming himself for his brother being put in a coma, Sprite is forced by his mother and childhood friend (adviser to the volleyball team) Salmon to play the part of Zee until he is out of the hospital, otherwise his place on the team could be taken away which will affect future scholarships. What Sprite soon realises is that the whole volleyball team hates Zee, so playing this role will be very difficult for the extroverted and friendly Sprite. On the team he meets First, who clearly has a harsher vendetta against Zee, so he resolves to patch things up between them. First is surprised and at first suspicious about Zee’s change in personality but soon falls for the new version of Zee. Will Sprite be able to admit his real identity to First or will Zee’s arrival force him to disappear as though he was never there, leaving both Sprite and First heartbroken? This started off so well but unfortunately towards the end was a little disappointing. I don’t like how they tackled the twin reveal and I’m not happy about Sprite having so many chances to tell First the truth but waiting till the last possible minute to do so. The acting was also questionable at times by the background characters. I definitely don’t regret watch this series and absolutely loved the main cast Frame and Ryan, but it’s not something I think I’ll rewatch again.

    9.0

Have you had enough of all the heavy, emotional dramas recently and want to watch a fun, lighthearted bromance series with so much comedy your stomach will hurt from laughing so much? Well if so look no further than this amazing series right here. I love historical dramas so much, and I loved the bromance between the two male leads, even if the main lead does get his own love interest. This series focuses on Wang Lu, a young genius, who enters the Spirit Blade Sect and embarks on an unconventional journey towards immortal cultivation. The Spirit Blade Sect was established in the year 4233. Through years of producing martial arts prodigies, it has been hailed as one of the five great sects. As the nine continents face a crisis, Wang Lu joins the Sect and comes under Wang Wu. Despite Wang Wu's beauty, she is hundreds of years in age. Famous for having a sharp tongue and an erratic temper, she and her disciple Wang Lu engage in endless squabbles while trudging on a path to becoming the strongest sage in all the lands. While joining the sect, he befriends Hai Yunfen, the son of the leader from a different sect that was murdered by his brothers demonic powers. They decide to work together to grow strong enough to take revenge and become the greatest sages of all time. Again, this series was so funny and enjoyable. It’s not for everyone, but it’s great for a nice funny series to watch and is something I go back to rewatch very often.

  • Project S: SPIKE

    135. Project S: SPIKE

    Thai Drama - 2017, 8 episodes

    9.0

This is such a beautiful drama that doesn’t really fit into the category of a BL, but because of the implications between the two main leads it might be technically tagged as a Bromance, but it’s so much more than that. This series is about a volleyball team that falls apart after their star player, Singha, leaves them to join another rival team. Whilst recruiting new players, they meet Than, a rising setter that only joined their team after failing to join the same team that Singha left them for. Because of this, the teams newest captain, Puen, immediately dislikes him. However, the captain as a spiker must rely on the team’s setter to deliver the volleyball to him. The two of them must now work past their hatred and become closer if they want any chance of winning their next big game. I consider this series as being more than a bromance since Puen has admitted to being bisexual and although Than never reveals his sexuality, you can clearly see they have developed more than just friendly feelings between the two of them,. However, they don’t really touch into their relationship and leave it mostly for the audience’s imagination. I wouldn’t say this is a romance at all, but it’s good enough, and short enough to watch and enjoy in your free time. I love volleyball so I highly recommend this series just for that past lmao. I hope you’ll enjoy this just as much as I did!

  • Between Us

    136. Between Us

    Thai Drama - 2022, 12 episodes

    8.5

No matter how much I enjoyed this series, I can’t deny how disappointed I was with it. This series is a side story for Until We Meet Again focusing on Win and Team. You definitely need to watch UWMA before this as the timeline and events are the exact same, it just focuses on Win and Team’s relationship with the occasional moment with Pharm and Dean, and Pruek and Manow. There were also two new side couples who were introduced, BeePrince and WaanTul, though they don’t have very many moments for me to discuss. The main reason I was so disappointed is because of the awful pacing (as is typical of New’s dramas). 12 episodes of miscommunication that easily could have been brought down to 7-8 episodes, then they could have spent more time showing Win and Team as a couple instead of (spoiler!!!) having them make their relationship official on the very last episode. I had very high expectations for this drama and unfortunately I was left very disappointed. There was an amazing cast, each of the couples had great chemistry, the fault entirely lies with the director. Although I would still recommend watching this if you’ve seen UWMA, it’s definitely not a must watch and you may find yourself fast forwarding a lot of it.

The beginning of ZeeNunew, the couple that people just love to hate on. BL fans always say how their favourite ships must be real and how they wish they would date more than anything, and yet when a ship like ZeeNunew actually confirms they are together, people refuse to accept it. Okay, now that I’ve had my mini rant let’s get on with the review lmao. This was a very cute series. This is about Kuea Keerati and Lian Kilen Wang, who have been engaged since they were children. Kuea has always loved Lian but because of his feelings, he decided to hide his true self in order to appear perfect for Lian. By day he is Kuea, a kind and gentle computer engineering student, but by night he is Kirin, the famous singer and drummer who hides his appearance to perform at club Gemini and spends his free time driving and fixing motorcycles as part of his mechanical engineering course. Lian is smart and successful, owing several clubs and his own company that produces and sells bottled water. Lian secretly returns Kuea’s feelings but hates that Kuea lies and is clearly hiding his true self. After they spend time getting to know each other, they begin to fall earnestly for one another, but how easy is love hidden behind so many lies? This series was cute, the chemistry was on another level and I’m so in love with the plot. Unfortunately the pacing and general unhealthy nature of the main and side couples relationship ruined what could have been a perfect series for me. Don’t get me wrong, I love this series a lot, but it’s not something I’ll ever really come back to.

  • Big Dragon

    138. Big Dragon

    Thai Drama - 2022, 8 episodes

    8.0

The best way to describe this drama is a spicy but generally just a basic series with an incredible cast and chemistry that is seriously on another level. This is about Yai, a student who takes over his fathers bar. After he accidentally ends up drugging his own drink and sleeps with his rival Mangkorn, who finds and keeps the video of them together as blackmail, he destroys the bar in his anger. He tries to ignore what happened and focuses on the bars new renovation to distract himself, but he is later shocked when he discovers that Mangkorn works for the company that are renovating the bar. Yai tries to find some dirt on Mangkorn so that he will delete the footage and stay away from him, but they end up spending more time together as a result. As feelings develop between the two of them, will things work out when Mangkorn’s father suddenly reveals that Mangkorn is to be engaged to his long term childhood friend? Honestly, this series was okay, the plot wasn’t the best, what really draws you into this series is the chemistry between the main couple. Mos and Bank are incredible actors and their chemistry both on and off screen is amazing. If anything, you should watch this series for the actors rather than the plot itself.

    139. Still 2gether

    Thai Special - 2020, 5 episodes

    9.0

A great wrap up and definitely a huge improvement from the disappointing ending of season one, I saw someone refer to this as “damage control” and I think that’s a hilarious way to sum up this sequel. This picks up where 2gether the series leaves off, but also fills in some gaps and plot holes which made it all the more bearable. They focus on developing the relationship progression of all the couples as they continue participating in their music and cheerleading clubs, and take a trip together to the beach. SarawatTine, ManType, and MilPhukong were nicely wrapped up, but DimGreen became so unbearable for me, I couldn’t stand Dim and I’m so mad because Green deserves so much better than him. If I can look past that part, this sequel had the ending I initially hoped for with the intimacy that 2gether lacked before. This is what happens when a queer man directs a BL series! I’m so happy they created this so I could enjoy the better ending. Let’s all say a big thank you to Aof for pulling this show back together!

The second season of Sotus, one of my highest rated series of all time! This was definitely not as good as the first season in terms of plot and pacing, but I still really enjoyed it. This is set two years after the first, when Arthit has now finished his 4th year of university and starts working at an engineering company, while Kongpop has taken over Arthit’s place as the new head hazer at the university. When Kongpop must complete his mandatory work experience as part of his degree, he is secretly accepted into Arthit’s company which causes problems between them, risking the exposure of their relationship. This tackles the insecurities that come with queer relationships, fears of coming out, and a few similar topics I won’t mention because I don’t want to spoil anything. Other people have said they didn’t like this season and while I personally did enjoy it, I do see where they’re coming from. ArthitKongpop don’t get as many romantic moments as I had hoped for, but we get to see what goes on in their lives and have the chance to see some new couples forming. If you have watched Sotus definitely continue with this second season, but don’t come in with very high expectations, that’s my best advice for starting this sequel.

    Korean Drama - 2021, 8 episodes

    8.5

This is such a sweet and cute mini series without too much drama, just mainly focusing on the themes of love and friendship. This drama is about Seo Hae Won who has moved to Seoul and ends up discovering a restaurant called Florida Banjeom, which is owned and run by four handsome guys. The owner and head chef, Baek Eun Kyu, immediately draws Hae Won’s attention and after spending time with him learning how to cook, he gets hired as the new chef. With the time they have spent together, Hae Won begins to develop feelings for Eun Kyu. However, when their coworker and Eun Kyu’s childhood friend of 15 years, Cha Ji Soo, also begins developing feelings for Hae Won, Eun Kyu must decide whether he will fight for Hae Won, or step back and let Ji Soo pursue him. The best way to describe this is “short and sweet”. I wish it was longer and I hated the love triangle plot because I thought it was completely unnecessary, but other than that it was an adorable mini series that I thoroughly enjoyed. The chemistry was fantastic and the acting was pretty good too, I highly recommend giving this a chance.

    Thai Drama - 2022, 8 episodes

My advice with this series is to honestly ignore the negative reviews and give it a chance. This drama is about Daonuea who had a crush on Khabkluen since high school. He confessed on the final school day before travelling to spend a year in Germany but was rejected. Now he finds out that they are in the same university and living in a shared dorm together with a group of other guys. When someone else in their friend group develops a crush on Daonuea, he decides to give that person a chance, unaware that Khabkluen has began developing feelings of his own for Daonuea. What happens when one person falls out of love while the other begins to fall in love? This was a series filled with misunderstandings, miscommunication and was pretty short overall. Despite that, I actually enjoyed it as a breath of fresh air in comparison to some of the heavier, 18+ BL’s I’ve been watching recently. The plot might have been fairly basic but I would still recommend giving it a go, if only so you can watch Sky in Your Heart next lmao.

Let’s be very clear with this series, if you don’t like slow burn romance stories you’ll absolutely hate this one, because this is 12 episodes straight of pinning that hardly goes anywhere until the end. But if you’re like me and enjoy a good slow burn you may find that you’ll really enjoy this. This series is about Pat who works in a digital marketing department where many of his coworkers are unprofessional and force him to take over every task they are given. One day Pat finds out his office will be getting a new manager and hears his coworkers share just how awful he is rumoured to be. That same day he meets Jeng at a cafe and spills his worries to the handsome stranger, Jeng listening amused to Pat’s rambling. When Pat finally meets the new manger, he realises just who Jeng is, and feels very embarrassed about his previous words, but luckily Jeng pretends they have never met. Pat quickly realises why the rest of the office hate Jeng’s work ethic and considers resigning until Jeng starts to teach him more about the work he is delegating and begins handing him larger and more important roles. Pat slowly begins to fall for Jeng as a small office crush, until he discovers Jeng is actually gay. Pat had only just escaped a bad relationship and decides to avoid Jeng, hoping his feelings will disappear. However, when Pat is outed at the company and Jeng begins to flirt with him, Pat has to decide if he wants to risk dating someone so much older and successful than him, or should he stay where he is and loose out on potential happiness? This is VERY slow paced and there were several plot holes that I wish they focused more on. I also hated Pat’s attitude at times and was a little unsatisfied with the ending. Despite that I LOVED the first half of this series and don’t at all regret watching it. Although my review may sound a little negative I did enjoy this series and would definitely recommend this if you like slow burn.

I still can’t believe that this has ended. I started watching this when it first aired in April 2020, and now I have finished it in January 2021. This is a mini series with 21 episodes (22 if you count episode 0) and each episode is around 10 minutes long. This series is about Tops, an aspiring chef, and Marwin, an aspiring guitar player and performer. This follows their lives as they live and take care of each other until they soon fall in love and realise they will have to choose between love and their dreams. Although it’s short, it’s very impactful. The actors, Gameplay and Jeff, have been apart of two series together as a couple (this series and the horror He She It) and they were also supposed to be a couple in KinnPorsche the series as KimPorschay, but Gameplay dropped out of the project so Barcode took over as Porschay. Because of this, their chemistry is well established and just from watching you can almost feel the love through the screen. This is a series without the typical drama and heartbreak, instead it’s light and sweet, perfect when wanting to fill up some time with something interesting, or if you’ve just finished a sad drama, this is perfect to make you feel happy again. I loved this so much and I’m so glad I stuck with it! A small part of me wishes we’ll get to see JeffGameplay again even though it won’t happen, I do miss them a lot though.

    Taiwanese Drama - 2021, 4 episodes

Although this was only a short mini series, there was such an interesting, unique plot with a relationship that was so sweet, healthy and heartwarming. This series is about Zheng Yu Shi who, after a serious incident when he was 5, developed a condition called DID (dissociative identity disorder) and gained a second personality called Noah, who became his protector to shield him from those intending to hurt or harm him. One day Yu Shi meets Wu Zheng and the two of them feel an instant attraction towards each other, quickly falling in love. But Noah, worried for Yu Shi, doubts Wu Zheng and tries to keep him at bay. These two different personalities come out to face either love and happiness, or heartbreak and pain. Will Wu Zheng discover Yu Shi’s secret and will he eventually win over Noah, or will Noah succeed in pushing Wu Zheng away? This was honestly sweet, and as I have a huge interest in psychological disorders I really enjoyed this. However, it’s clear throughout this series that Yu Shi remains in the mind of his five year old self after that traumatic incident, which means that even as they enter a sexual relationship, Yu Shi is still mentally 5 years old, which made me quite uncomfortable to watch. Maybe I’m just a little sensitive to this stuff, but it was uncomfortable to think about that happening. If I look past that part this was such a sweet and incredible series, but I understand why a lot of people will be repulsed and avoid a plot like this.

    Chinese Drama - 2016, 30 episodes

    9.5

I’m only including this because Hao Mei and KO are too cute to ignore, but if you’re watching this for BL only, I wouldn’t bother as much. This is mainly a straight drama, with a side couple that aren’t explicitly in a relationship, but it’s heavily implied that they like each other. This is about a girl named Bei WeiWei who is a gaming expert and one day captures the attention and heart of Xiao Nai, the campus’ gaming expert and heart breaker. When Xiao Nai asks WeiWei to be his online girlfriend through their game, she slowly begins to fall for the mysterious player, and when they finally meet for the first time she realises her in game spouse and campus crush are the same person, she is quite understandably lost for words. They begin dating and she volunteers to help the gaming company he owns, but when they face challenges while trying to beat their competitors and design the perfect game, they must work as a team with the help of his three friends, Hao Mei, Yu Ban Shan, and Qui Yong Hou, and the newly joined master of hacking KO, to help win the competition. KO joins the company after losing a battle with Xiao Nai while trying to compete for Hao Mei’s attention, and the two become close as they work and soon live together. Hao Mei and KO become joined at the hip as KO vows to take care of Hao Mei, much to the amusement of their friends. As I said before, I wouldn’t recommend this if you only want the BL aspects, since there is technically only implied infatuation between Hao Mei and KO, but if you want to stay for the plot and sweet relationship between the couples, I would absolutely recommend this! It’s so fun and pretty interesting, there’s not much drama to it, it’s just a sweet love story.

I’m convinced that 50% of the hate comments just don’t like PerthChimon as a ship and came into this series with a negative mindset, which is why the ratings are so bad. I thought this was actually a great series, not perfect but not awful either. This drama is about Sailom, a poor student on a scholarship and working several part time jobs so he and his older brother Saifah can pay off their debts. Sailom’s scholarship is being sponsored by their local MP whose son is a bully at his school, Kanghan. Kanghan tries to use this to bully and force Sailom into doing his and his friends school work for him, but Sailom is smart and every attempt made to get Sailom kicked out always ends up backfiring on Kanghan. However, when Kanghan tries to break into Sailom’s house one day to threaten him, he finds Sailom being beaten up by loan sharks and saves him. Kanghan’s grandmother offers to pay off Sailom’s debts if he can be Kanghan’s tutor and help him get into a good university. Through their studies, Sailom realises Kanghan isn’t just the rich, bratty bully he appears and begins to fall for him. But when Kanghan prepares to confess to his crush, Pimfah, Sailom has to decide whether he should fight for Kanghan’s love, or step aside knowing he isn’t on Kanghan’s level at all. This was adorable and absolutely not worth the hate it got, though I’ll be honest the kiss scenes were pretty bad and I wasn’t a huge fan of the director. I still recommend this if you want a simple BL to get through when you have some free time, it is pretty good overall.

Unfortunately, this was a series I really hyped myself up for and ended up being slightly disappointed. Don’t get me wrong, this series isn’t bad, but considering the popularity of DaouOffroad I expected much more. This is about Yang Yan Feng, a Chinese businessman who is trying to set up his own convenience store and is looking for a business partner. One day he meets Phumjai, a man from a rich family who is obsessed with the Chinese influencer Tammy, and is looking to get Chinese lessons and set up his own business to make himself Tammy’s ideal type. Though Yang and Phumjai originally hate each other and fight a lot, they decide to come together for the sake of the business and their own ambitions, becoming partners and growing closer in the process as Yang teaches Phumjai Chinese. But what Phumjai doesn’t know is that Tammy is Yang’s ex girlfriend, and Yang has a lot of debt due to his parents collapsed business, if the debt collectors find him, something very bad could happen to him. Can the two of them navigate these issues, and when Phumjai finally meets Tammy in real life, will he actually pursue her, or will he look for a lover much closer to his heart? Meanwhile, Phumjai’s older brother Phojai, has secretly been in a relationship with Phumjai’s best friend Tag, with Phojai asking Tag to secretly take care of his younger brother with the opening of their convenience store. The two have been hiding this relationship for a while, but what happens when Tag wants to take the relationship public while Phojai wants to keep things private? This was a pretty cute and fun series, the main couple had incredible chemistry and the side couple were really cute too. The acting was fairly good too, my main problem was the plot and directing, which felt all over the place. This series wasn’t bad, but I’m not sure I’d recommend it very strongly.

This is my reminder not to get overly excited for a series, because sometimes it won’t live up to my expectations and will let me down. This was based on one of my all time favourite BL novels I’ve read. This series is about Gui, a fourth-year engineering student who works at a cafe to support himself. One evening he meets Solo, a handsome but silent freshman in the music department. He’s talented, good looking, and rich, but he is unable to smile after his mother’s death when he was young. They meet in the cafe and Gui brings Solo some warm milk to help him sleep. Solo begins to visit Gui every night at the cafe and they begin spending time together. until they start realise how much they need each other, they have become each other’s Oxygen and they need each other in their lives. We also have Solo’s best friend Kao who meets his senior, Phu, when he is being attacked by Thugs. He helps Phu escape the situation and secretly takes his ID to find out who the handsome senior is. Kao quickly falls in love with Phu and makes it his mission to make Phu fall for him. But what will he do when he discovers the rumours that Phu has once killed a person, will it make him more determined to succeed in his quest for Phu’s love, or will he be too afraid to continue and back off? If this series sounds interesting to you then I would definitely recommend reading the Oxygen novel which was translated to English on Wattpad (whether it’s still on there I don’t know). While this series had two sweet main couples, the “background” characters were awful, it was clear they were all rookie actors because they were so awkward that it ruined the series. I would definitely recommend watching this series for GuitarSolo and KaoPhu, but other than that, this series didn’t live up to its expectations.

  • Don't Say No

    Thai Drama - 2021, 12 episodes

This is one of those series that you’ll either love it or you’re gonna hate it and wish you never watched it. This is a side story to TharnType season 2 based on the side couple from that series, Leo and Fiat. You will have to watch their story in TT before watching this series, otherwise it will basically make no sense. This is set shortly after TT2 and begins with Leo confessing to Fiat and the two beginning to date. This explores their journey of going from childhood friends to lovers, their family and friends reaction to their dating news, and the troubles they face after Fiat’s mother comes back into the picture. We also explore the love story of Leon, Leo’s brother, and the boy he has a crush on, Pob. I really loved that they instantly started this series as a couple as they showed several difficulties in a relationship that aren’t often shown in other BL series. Sex is a topic that this series often brought up and discussed which made me really happy to see two consenting males able to communicate about sex and the things they like and dislike without it being awkward of them trying to joke around about it. There’s also a deep level of trust between them despite the clear jealousy, so I like that they actually can communicate clearly and healthily. I also really loved Leon and Pob, but was incredibly disappointed by their ending.  They were supposed to be getting a season 2 called Just Say Yes with them as the main couple, however it’s been years with no word about this and James (the actor who played Pob) is now planning to start acting with his real life boyfriend Charlarm, so I think we can say a sad goodbye to that sequel and the potential it could have had. Overall, this series could have been much better but I honestly didn’t think it was as bad as some of the reviews suggest. If you liked TharnType then you’ll probably like this too as in my opinion this was wayyy better and much less toxic.

I’m gonna be super controversial here and say most of the people who hated on this series are just haters who came into the comment section knowing they weren’t going to enjoy this series and just wanted to spread negativity. Feel free to disagree with me, but considering the people I interacted with while this was airing, you’ll struggle to change my mind. This was honestly fairly good, it’s definitely not Domundi’s best production by any means, and there was definitely a lot more work and improvements they could have made and I do have many criticisms, but some BL fans just hate on Domundi series only because they’re coming from Domundi. This series is a kind of sequel/side story to Cutie Pie the series. This focuses on the relationship and engagement of Khon Diao and Yi, including the misunderstandings, the car accident that caused Yi to lose his memory, and the struggles with family as the two work together to discover who was the mastermind behind Yi’s accident. This was so sweet, heartwarming and easily had the best ending from any BL series I’ve ever watched and I’m not at all exaggerating when I say just how amazing the ending was. In my opinion the ending definitely made up for how simple and (dare I say) mediocre the rest of the show was. The acting and pacing of this series left a lot to be desired, but it honestly was not nearly as bad as the reviews make it out to be. Please try watching this series as, in my personal opinion it was just as good as Cutie Pie the series, and I think if you enjoyed Cutie Pie and come into this series with an open mind, may find that you’ll enjoy it more than you expected to.

    Thai Drama - 2021, 6 episodes

This was an amazing drama, not for the acting abilities or even for the chemistry between the main couple, but for the incredible plot that really drove deep into the corrupted nature of the BL industry. I believe this is a series that everyone should watch at least once. This drama is about a director named James who is given the opportunity to work on his first project by directing a BL drama. When introduced to the actors playing the main couple, he meets Ait, who he almost immediately falls in love with. The two feel an instant connection with each other and begin an on-set romance. However, it seems they will be facing constant hurdles to remain together and in love. This series really explores the darker side of the entertainment industry, more specifically the BL aspects of this, and the pressure actors receive from talent agencies. It digs deeper into the reality of the behind-the-scenes for these BL series and reveals more into the corrupted BL industry that is far from perfect. I didn’t think the chemistry between James and Ait was that good, and the acting from some of the cast wasn’t great either, but the plot of this series leaves such an important message. This, in my opinion, is absolutely a must watch for all BL fans out there!

Although I don’t think that this was as good as the first season, I did still enjoy it. This season is focused on the events before the series Pornographer. Here we look at the relationship between Kijima Rio and Kido Shiro, including how they met, and how their relationship formed and fell apart. They first meet at a school reunion after the death of their teacher, and Kido offers to take Kijima home and ends up staying the night. Kido works in a company that produces Pornographic novels and asks Kijima if he is interested. Kijima meets Gamoda Ikuo, a famous erotic novelist, who tells him he can take part in the production of a novel if he is able to make Kido cum (yes you read that right, yes it was very weird to watch and write about in this review lmao). After that sensual encounter, they continue a relationship less that lovers but more than friends. However, how long does that relationship last when Kido has a girlfriend of his own that he’s not willing to give up? Years later when we reach the events after the first series and Kijima gets a boyfriend of his own, does Kido still regret not choosing Kijima when he had the chance? Although the first season was much better, I did enjoy learning more about Kido and Kijima’s past so if you’ve seen Pornographer, definitely check this out. Chemistry is still just as incredible and sensual, acting is top notch, overall no complaints from me lmao.

This is one of those series that starts amazing and ends up getting worse towards the end. This series is about Shi Lei, an employee at Seisei studio which is gradually going bankrupt so they decided to bring in a new director, Jin Yu Zhen, to help keep the business going. On his first day he establishes a set of unfair rules, including a single rule, prohibiting the employees from being in relationships. Shortly after working there, Shi Lei is forced to let Yu Zhen live with him while he tries to find a way to abolish the single rule. As time goes on they begin to develop strong feelings of each other when suddenly a mysterious stranger from Yu Zhen’s past appears named Yi Zi Tong. Through his appearance, Shi Lei begins to discover the reason the single-hood rule exists in the first place and begins to wonder if the relationship he is starting with his boss is even worth fighting for. This had such a strong start, but as soon as Zi Tong appeared as the jealous ex it just went downhill. Don’t get me wrong, it was an enjoyable series, but it definitely left me feeling a little disappointed. The acting and chemistry was top tier, the plot itself was fairly simple but still fun, I just hate the troupe of jealous ex’s coming in and ruining everything so much that I couldn’t even feel satisfied with the ending. This series wasn’t bad, but it definitely could have been better.

    Japanese Movie - 2015

    8.5

This is a sequel film to Seven Days: Monday - Thursday, so make sure to check that one out first, otherwise none of this will make much sense. This film focuses on the final three days of Seryous relationship with Shino. For Shino, these days are wonderful but bittersweet as he soon realises that once he reaches Sunday, their relationship is going to end. But will Seryou allow that to happen, or will the feelings he’s caught for Shino this time finally allow him to settle down into a long term relationship for the first time. This is such a super cute film, and although the ending leaves it on a bit of a cliffhanger, I think this was actually a great place to finish. A part of me hopes that they will make a third film, but since it’s been many years since the film’s were released, I don’t think they will. If you watched the first film and liked it then you absolutely need to watch this one, even if you didn’t particularly enjoy it’s prequel I definitely believe that this was way better than the first!!!!

  • Why R U?

    156. Why R U?

    Thai Drama - 2020, 13 episodes

    8.0

This started so well but unfortunately was ruined due to filming difficulties caused by Covid, however I still did enjoy aspects this drama. This series features two main couples. Saifah is Zon’s worst enemy, however after his sister Zol witnesses them accidentally kiss, she begins writing fanfiction about them and publicly shares it around the school, so everyone begins shipping them. Outraged, Zon tells Zol that it will never happen between him and Saifah, and that if he was really attracted to guys then he wishes for her fiction will become real. His words have more merit than he realises, and Zol’s fanfiction ends up taking over until Zon and Saifah begin deeply falling for each other. However, Zon fears that his love for Saifah is due to Zol’s fanfiction, which causes him to push Saifah away. The other main couple contains Tutor, a smart student struggling financially, and Fighter, a rich play boy who happens to be in a relationship with Tutors best friend, HwaHwa. They can’t stand each other but after Fighter helps Tutor and asks for his help studying, the two form a deep bond. However, the bond begins to tear as Fighters selfish father takes over in an attempt to control his personal life and autonomy. We also have quite a few side couples from Zol’s fanfiction who make their way to reality like JapanTanthai (senior on the football team and his junior who has a crush on him), DewBlue (senior bully of the football team, and his junior that he picks on), Day and HwaHwa, Natee and Zen, and Soda and Junior. Everything from the main and side couples, to the unique plot was enjoyable to watch. If only Covid hadn’t appeared then this would probably have had much higher ratings from me, but unfortunately (although understandable) the series fell flat towards the end. I will say that didn’t stop me crying on the last episode when they looked back to the past.

    Thai Drama - 2016, 6 episodes

The beginning of one of the most iconic BL couples in this industry, this was OffGun’ first ever series as the side couple!!! This is such a cute and lighthearted series to enjoy after some of the more heavier themed BL’s that have been released prior to this one!! If you are new to BL series and not sure where to start, then this always used to be my go to recommendation as it’s not as full on as others and is a great series to introduce you to the world of boys love lmao!! This series is about two boys named Porsche and Pick, who are the leaders of a Dog and Cat club. Their club is about to close down due to lack of funding, so they try and get the principals daughter and her best friend Rome to join, but the only problem is she is terrified of Dogs. Porsche decides to help her get over her fear, but in the mean time Rome and Pick slowly begin to develop feelings for each other without their friends knowing. This is a great enemies/rivals to lovers with a male and female main couple, and the BL couple (Rome and Pick) as the side couple, but they get just as many moments as the main couple do. It was a super sweet show, that completely breaked down stereotypes to show that love can be between anyone! Off and Gun as Rome and Pick, was the best choice they could have ever made, their chemistry was so amazing that they’re one of the longest running BL couples to date, proving no ones doing it like them! I still recommend this series even though it’s mostly out of nostalgia, I know that generally speaking it’s probably not the best “older BL” out there, but if you’re an OffGun fan I highly recommend checking out where this all started and I hope you enjoy it!!

  • 2 Moons

    158. 2 Moons

    Thai Drama - 2017, 12 episodes

    7.0

An iconic classic Thai BL that I’ve tried to watch in recent years and absolutely hated it, yet the nostalgia and remembering how much I loved it back in 2018 when I first watched it is what’s letting me put this much higher on my list of BL’s. This series is about a boy named Wayo who applies to a particular university just so he can see his lifelong crush Pha. Yet when they first meet anfter so long Pha is cold, rude annd distant towards him, making Wayo sad and frustrated. What Wayo doesn’t know is that since their school days he has had a serious glow up that left him unrecognisable to the Wayo that Pha remembered from back in school, so when they meet again Pha doesn’t even recognise Wayo, leading to all of these misunderstandings. Meanwhile this is happening, Wayo’s best friend Ming begins flirting with one of Pha’s friends, Kit. The side couple is adorable and definitely the highlight of the series, and I’m still surprised at how well budgeted this ended up being. I wish it could have been longer and I wish we could have seen the side couple actually getting together. Also in the novel there was another couple that were supposed to get together, but they didn’t have any moments at all which was very disappointing. I also didn’t think the main actors had much chemistry if any at all, and while they were all good looking, the acting wasn’t particularly great and they didn’t really look like how their characters were described in the novel other than Wayo. Aside from all of that, it was still a relatively good series. In my honest opinion however, I would personally recommend just watching the remake of this series, called 2 Moons 2 instead, which brought together a completely new cast. This is an iconic series for older BL fans, but I honestly don’t think the newer BL fans will enjoy this as much.

  • His Man Season 3

    159. His Man Season 3

    Korean TV Show - 2024, 14 episodes

    8.0

Well… if season 1 brought the novelty and fun, and season 2 brought the love and friendship bonds, then season 3 definitely brought the drama and emotional mess lmao. This is season 3 of His Man, the reality dating show, but you don’t need to watch season 1 or 2 before starting this since they all feature a different cast. This dating show features 8 gay men Seungjin (my favourite), Jaeseung, Seongmin, Hwi, Youngjoon, Minseon, Hanmin, and Meonggyun. This show was honestly so messy that in the end I wasn’t sure if I wanted any of the couples to end up together. If you like dating shows with a lot of drama I definitely recommend watching this, it was very entertaining lmao. Unfortunately this had a lot to live up to after the incredible season 2, and this definitely fell flat for me. Here’s to hoping we get a season 4 though!!!

  • My Dream

    160. My Dream

    Thai Drama - 2018, 12 episodes

    7.0

When I first watched this series I saw that this had many negative reviews, and a lot of people said the beginning was good, and ending was bad. I was slightly hesitant to try it but eventually I decided to try it out and while I don’t think it was all that bad, I definitely understand why it received so much criticism. This is about a boy called Runway whose father died in a plane crash. Ever since that day he has been having nightmares, but finds his father’s dreamcatcher that he used as a kid in the hope that it would help him sleep. After hanging it up above his bed, Runway starts dreaming of a man called Dream. He immediately recognises Dream as someone who he used to dream about when he was a child when the dreamcatcher was still up. Next door to Runway is a boy called Tanai. Runway finds himself developing a crush on both Dream and Tanai, while both of them also like Runway back. Runway therefore has a difficult decision to make, between the real boy next door and the made up boy of his dreams that he may love just a little more, which will he choose. Things will get even more complicated when Runway’s best friend also develops feelings for Tanai, and Tanai starts to also reciprocate his feeling, but still doesn’t let go of his crush of Runway. I really did enjoy this drama honestly, but I have several complaints. For one thing, it basically romanticised rape after (spoiler alert) Runways best friend was raped, but he later kissed the guy who raped him. I thought that was wrong and completely messed up. The other thing is the show ended on a cliffhanger, and no couples were confirmed. Other than that it’s kinda weird, very cute, and (to me) something I really enjoyed at the time, but if I tried to rewatch it then I probably wouldn’t like it as much.

I’ll be completely honest, while I did kind of like this series, I personally don’t think it’s as good as the reviews made it out to be, especially since I’ve seen people call this a 10/10 series. This is about Miyata who works as a magazine editor where he meets the writer Iwanaga, recognising him as his high school lover. Iwanaga is happy to reconnect with Miyata, but Miyata is awkward and uncomfortable around him due to their past, trying to set a distance between them. However, it is clear that their feelings have not gone away, and the more Miyata avoids him, the deeper in love he falls. Will the two be able to resume their relationship with each other, or will their surrounding environment and relationships with friends and family, pull them even further apart? I don’t want to be too negative because I did enjoy this series and I know it’s very popular and well loved so you may enjoy this series too, but for me the pacing was far too slow and I wasn’t getting sucked into the story like I had hoped. It’s worth giving this a go and seeing if you’ll like it, maybe I’ll try rewatching in the future and see if I’ve changed my mind, but I thought it was too slow and forgettable for me to rank it highly.

  • Kiss Me Again

    162. Kiss Me Again

    Thai Drama - 2018, 14 episodes

    8.0

This is the second season of Kiss: The Series, technically it can be watched as a standalone without watching the prequel, but I definitely recommend watching Kiss first to understand a little more of the backstory. This series shows how Kao and Pete’s relationship first began, going from enemies to lovers. Although they weren’t the main couple they definitely stole the show lmao. I honestly loved this so much more than the first season, it shows a beautiful take on Kao and Pete’s relationship! There are also many other straight couples and another implied gay couple. I do have some complaints with this one, as the other straight couples relationships made no sense and were quite frustrating to watch. One of them got back with her ex, who she broke up with because of his violent history. Another got with a guy that had basically been bullying her. And another one started dating the guy who she had been investigating to find out if he was gay, and even lied to his own mother saying that he was gay, even though he wasn’t. I mostly skipped past the boring bits, but was in love with Pete and Kao. Don’t be afraid to skip parts if it gets too boring at times, Kao and Pete were definitely the highlight of this series!!!

  • Gloomy Salad Days

    163. Gloomy Salad Days

    Taiwanese Drama - 2010, 20 episodes

    8.0

Although the first few episodes weren’t great, I really enjoyed this series. This is an episodic series with 12 different stories all based on real life events but with a supernatural twist. All these stories revolve around Du, the god of death that can kill and in return their soul will be turned into a rock to support her bridge that souls cross to the afterlife. When a rock from this bridge is found in a school, the one who finds it can see Du and can make an exchange to kill in exchange for your life. Shen Qi is the only person who can see Du without the rock and tries to help people give up on their hatred. The LGBT storylines first feature Mei Li,  a rich transgender student who falls for his friends sister Xiao Ju who finds out that he was born in a girls body and faces discrimination after his secret is revealed until he summons Du and tells her if his best friend won’t accept him, then he wants to die. Next his ex girlfriend Xiao Ju falls in love with her best friend Qiao Qiao and runs away to be with her, however after she is outed and shamed on social media she calls Du to take her and her girlfriends life so they can stay together in the afterlife. Finally the best storyline (in my opinion) is Xiao Lun, a feminine gay man, who is badly bullied by Da Dong. After they are forced to join the school musical they grow closer. When Da Dong is forced to attack someone, getting injured in the process and is found and treated by Xiao Lun, he sees him in a different light. However when Da Dong kisses Xiao Lun in a haunted house Xiao Lun asks him if he’s gay, causing Da Dong to freak out and call on Du asking her to kill Xiao Lun so no one can find out his secret. But in the hospital, he later regrets his decision and begs her to bring him back even if he turns into a rock in exchange. This series was so heartbreaking but I really enjoyed it, I just wish we established Xiao Lun and Da Dongs relationship before the plot moved on.

  • Senior Secret Love: Puppy Honey 2

    164. Senior Secret Love: Puppy Honey 2

    Thai Drama - 2017, 8 episodes

    7.5

The second season to Senior Secret Love: Puppy Honey. This is set shortly after the first, when Porsche has to leave to work at a newly established vet clinic, leaving Emma alone. Feeling lonely, she sets out to make some new friends and take her mind off Porsche’s departure where she meets her brothers friend Night. Night quickly expresses an interest in her and, with her brother’s approval, starts trying to court Emma despite knowing she has a boyfriend already. We also see more of Rome and Pick as their relationship slowly forms, along with Pick finally coming to terms with his sexuality. This series is definitely not as good as season 1, but I still think it was worth a watch, at least for me anyway. The ending was also one of my favourite BL endings ever which is why I recommend at least trying this out if you liked season 1 and seeing what you think!

  • Unforgotten Night

    165. Unforgotten Night

    Thai Drama - 2022, 12 episodes

    7.0

Did I love this series? No. Would I recommend it? Not really. Do I rewatch this series all the time despite having mixed feelings over it? Absolutely. This is another mafia style romance series about Kim, an office worker who is broken hearted after having just been dumped by his ex-boyfriend Day. He goes out drinking to try and forget about Day, which is where he meets mafia boss Kamol. Kamol is immediately attracted to him and takes him back to his apartment. Kim is confused when they not only sleep together, but delve into BDSM intimacy that leaves him satisfied but confused with his own body and feelings. He runs away, unaware that Kamol has expressed an immediate interest in him after finding someone so compatible with him in bed. Kamol tracks Kim down who has secretly been staying with his ex-boyfriend and his new lover, not knowing that his ex used to work for Kamol. Kamol eventually manages to convince Kim that he isn’t a bad person and encourages Kim to move in with him, so they begin a relationship. However, Kamol’s position as a mafia leader puts Kim in serious harm. Can Kim convince Kamol to leave the mafia world behind, or will Kim spend the rest of his life fearing for his and his families safety? As I mentioned before, this series honestly isn’t great. The acting is very stiff but there’s something about it that makes me keep coming back to watch it. If you’re interested in mafia and gang related plots this may interest you, just don’t come into this series expecting another Kinnporsche, or you’ll be very disappointed. Although the chemistry wasn’t the best, the outside context actually makes it better knowing both of the actors had a crush on each other throughout filming this series, which was why they were quite awkward during the intimate scenes, but they are still together and have been privately dating for a while, which is so cute!!!

  • Stand By Me

    166. Stand By Me

    Chinese Drama - 2023, 20 episodes

    7.5

A very short bromance with great acting and a pretty interesting plot, I just hesitate to call this a great series because it was pretty simple and forgettable. This is about Wei Jie who works for the patriotic organisation with the goal to find and expose Japanese spy’s. One day, whilst on a mission, he meets an old friend of his, Guan Yu, who he begins to suspect could be a spy. He decides to keep an eye on him and in the process finds some incredibly incriminating evidence. Is Guan Yu really a spy, and if not what exactly is he hiding? This was a fairly interesting plot but because of the short run time, so much key information was left out so I was left feeling confused and unsatisfied by the ending. Most of this series left me quite confused and I didn’t really understand what was happening. It’s not a bad series overall, but I admit I wasn’t super impressed by it. It’s something I forgot about very quickly and have no intention of ever rewatching it.

  • My Baby Bright

    167. My Baby Bright

    Thai Special - 2018, 1 episode

    8.5

This was a fun little project featuring Singto and Krist, the actors from Sotus the series. This was only a short film that was made as an advertisement for a cosmetic company called Baby Bright which is about two boys called Pla Thong and Tod. One day, Tod unexpectedly dies, but he has unfinished business which means he is unable to move on to the afterlife until whatever unfinished business he had is resolved. The two of them decide to try and work out what it was that Tod needs to do together, and they finally realise his unfinished business was to confess his true feelings towards Pla Thong. This is a very short mini film that I wish they would have made into a series, but I did enjoy watching it and I think it’s something that is short, silly, fun, and sweet. Nothing I can complain about lmao.

  • 2gether

    168. 2gether

    Thai Drama - 2020, 13 episodes

    7.0

This is a series you really will either love or hate, but I would definitely consider this a product of its time. I remember really enjoying this up until the ending, but rewatching it recently made me realise that although Bright and Win were great actors, they honestly had no chemistry whatsoever and this series felt more like a Bromance than a BL. Honestly I don’t think this series was as bad as some people have made it out to be, I do think some people have overreacted because they were annoyed there was no kiss/intimate moments, but this definitely shouldn’t have been GMMTV’s most viewed BL when it was honestly pretty mediocre. This series is about Tine, a player who has had many girlfriends, all of which ended in disaster. Finally when Green, an obsessive and hyper boy, confesses his love to Tine and won’t leave him alone, Tine begins brainstorming ways to get rid of Green. Finally he meets Sarawat, the most handsome guy in the year, and Tine asks him to pretend to date him to make Green leave him alone. However, real feelings get in the way and begin to mess everything up. As more and more secrets are revealed, there may be more connecting Tine and Sarawat than just their fake relationship to fool Green. What happens when fake love turns into real love once you begin questioning yourself and the people around you? This could have been amazing if BrightWin had the right chemistry for it, but I think the reason this fell flat was Win and Bright looked kind of uncomfortable kissing or doing anything romantic. In my opinion, if you watch this series whilst imagining it as a Bromance, I think you may enjoy it. But overall this was definitely a let down and I completely understand why it’s received the hate that it has even if I do think some people were being a little overdramatic in their reviews.

  • Love Sick 2

    169. Love Sick 2

    Thai Drama - 2015, 36 episodes

    9.0

The second season of Love Sick!! If you liked the first season you will LOVE this season!!!! This was so much better than the 1st season and it was so cute. It continues from where Season 1 left off, as Phun and Noh are still struggling to accept the feeling they have for each other, especially while they both have girlfriends. This season also has a variety of straight and gay couples, some of which deserved more screen time!! Even if you didn’t like the 1st season I think you should still watch this one, and if you aren’t interested in watching the 1st season, you could just watch this one straight away instead, as the plot doesn’t really have much to do with the 1st, and the characters are reintroduced. Definitely try this one out, cause you won’t regret it!!

  • Falling in Love with a Rival

    170. Falling in Love with a Rival

    Chinese Drama - 2015, 8 episodes

    9.0

This was kind of strange but good. It’s about a man called Wu Suo Wei who’s girlfriend breaks up with him, so in revenge he makes the new guy she is dating, called Chi Cheng, fall in love with him, but eventually he starts having real feelings for him. When I first watched it I grew bored and stopped, but I tried again and once I got past the first 2/3 episodes I couldn’t stop watching it. Despite being a Chinese BL, they got loads past the censorship bans, and it was a cute little mini series. I would absolutely say try it out, and don’t be worried if you are bored at first, because it does get better, and the ending is hilarious!!!

  • My Dear Gangster Oppa

    171. My Dear Gangster Oppa

    Thai Drama - 2023, 8 episodes

    7.5

This series wasn’t awful in theory but unfortunately I was very disappointed with this. This drama is adapted from the Korean webtoon, The Ideal Relationship, which is one of my favourite webtoons. Because of that I had very high expectations for this series and I was really let down by it. This drama is about Guy, a gamer who is secretly in love with his best friend Wal. WhenWal gets a girlfriend he is depressed and turns to his online friends to help. They plan to all meet up face to face and Guy tries to convince his closest online friend “Yuri” to show up. “Yuri” doesn’t have a mic and doesn’t talk about himself so they all believe “Yuri” is a shy girl. Guy decides to meet up with him hoping to make him more comfortable and at ease with them, but when they meet he realises, however, that “Yuri” isn’t a girl, but instead is a tall, gangster looking man called Thiu. Guy is immediately intimidated by him and Thiu admits this is the reason he didn’t want to meet the rest of the group, because he was afraid to make them uncomfortable or scared because of his appearance. Guy feels bad for judging him and resolves to bring them closer, unaware that Thiu is actually working for the mafia and his closeness to Guy has drawn unwanted attention. Can Thiu keep Guy safe whilst finding himself developing feelings so strong for him that he considers leaving the mafia world for good, and when Guy finds out what Thiu does, will he still want to be around him? As I mentioned before, this had so much potential but unfortunately they deviated too far from the webtoon’s plot and I was left very disappointed. It’s not a bad series but it’s not something I’d recommend very strongly.

  • The Best Story

    172. The Best Story

    Thai Drama - 2021, 3 episodes

    8.5

I absolutely love YinWar as actors so I was really excited about this series. This is about Best, an ordinary, boring guy with nothing particularly special about him. One day, while walking to class, he gets hit in the head by a basketball and is taken to the infirmary by Dew. Dew is the most popular, hottest guy in the school and is well loved by everyone. After a video of Dew carrying Best is uploaded and people begin poking fun at Best, he confronts Dew who apologised for what happened. After the confrontation Best realises he has feelings for Dew but is too afraid to confess. He decides to write him a song and sing it at the school festival, but when Dew’s best friend Fern sees that Dew is beginning to fall for Best she decides to stop his feelings the only way she knew how, by outing him to his mother. Can Dew confront his sexuality to be with Best, or will he give up and agree to move miles away for university and never see Best again? This series was good but it either needed another episode so we could have properly seen Dew’s feelings form for Best, or it needs season 2 to give us a happier ending.

  • TharnType

    173. TharnType

    Thai Drama - 2019, 12 episodes

    7.5

The side story to Love by Chance. This is a story about 2 roommates, Tharn and Type. Type is homophobic because he was raped by an older man when he was very young. So when he finds out his roommate Tharn is gay, he is not happy. He begins picking on Tharn hoping he will move out, but Tharn makes it clear no matter what Type does, he will never move out. The two of them fight and argue everyday, until a situation pushes them together and Tharn reveals his feelings for Type. Originally Type asks Tharn to sleep with him as a one time thing, which eventually leads to a friends with benefits relationship. After Type gets a girlfriend and breaks Tharn’s heart, it seems like it will be over between them, until Type realises he loves Tharn and breaks up with her, confessing his attraction later to Tharn. They begin dating and move out to live with each other in their own apartment. However when Tharns ex boyfriends show up, and Tharns best friend Llong is pulled into the middle, complications arise. How long can they hold onto their love when everyone is trying to break them apart? This show made me a quite uncomfortable due to the heavy and dark themes, however the chemistry between the actors and the quality of this drama, is incredibly high. i love the actors together, but Tharn was honestly toxic and Type, despite not exactly being the greatest person either, deserved so much better. I wish I could have loved this series as much as everyone else seemed to, but I can’t do that.

  • Love by Chance

    174. Love by Chance

    Thai Drama - 2018, 14 episodes

    7.0

When I first started this BL series I thought it was so cute and I couldn’t understand how anyone couldn’t love it. However, after maturing and watching several higher quality, better BL series, I realised how problematic this was. This series is about 2 boys called Ae and Pete, one day Ae accidentally hits Pete with his bike and  takes him to hospital. They later meet again and become friends. But eventually feelings develop and they become a couple. There are quite a few side couples, who also get their own  moments! The main couple and one of the side couples (Tin and Can) are adorable in this season. My main complaints of this dramas is the romanticised scenes of sexual abuse and mentions of rape. Unfortunately BL’s tend to romanticise these things but it’s wrong and really uncomfortable, not only that but another couple were step-brothers who (unlike other series where you could try to justify this) actually grew up together and treated each other as real brothers. If you can look past that then sure it’s a cute series, I just can’t get past the problematic plot..

  • Our Skyy

    175. Our Skyy

    Thai Drama - 2018, 5 episodes

    8.5

I’m so grateful for this, as we get to see more of our fav couples again. There are the couples from Sotus, Puppy Honey, My dear loser:Edge of seventeen, Kiss me Again, and My Tee (‘Cause you’re my boy). Only complaint I had was with Sun and Inn, because it took ages for things to actually happen, and I felt as though it dragged out. Other than that I loved the others. Kongpop and Arthits made me cry, and I couldn’t stop laughing at Rome and Picks. I was also smiling like an idiot throughout Pete and Kao’s. Definitely watch these when you finish the series each of the couples are from!

  • My Sweet Dear

    176. My Sweet Dear

    Korean Drama - 2021, 8 episodes

    8.5

Although this did feel quite rushed and the ending wasn’t the best, this was only a short mini series so it could have been worse, I did think it was pretty cute. This is about Yoon Do Gun, who is the head chef of Laura Dining. One day when the owner brings a new chef in, Choi Jung Woo, and announces they will both create a signature dish and the winner will become the new head chef. Will the rivalry they face turn to love, or further hatred? This was short but cute and I did enjoy it as a lighthearted mini series with little drama.

  • Bite Fight

    177. Bite Fight

    Chinese Movie - 2016

    8.0

This is definitely a hidden gem in the BL world. It’s about a boy called Ai Fei that gets saved from being beat up from drunk guys, by a vampire named Thomas. He then stays with the vampire and they fall in love. Then some weird stuff happens. At first the plot seems complicated, but the ending perfectly ties it all together! It’s so good, and I am still hoping that they will make a second film. If you are interested in the supernatural then I suggest trying this one out!

  • Tinted With You

    178. Tinted With You

    Korean Drama - 2021, 8 episodes

    8.5

This was an okay drama but was probably more successful because both of the main leads were idols. This series is about Eun Ho, who is a college student preparing for this exams when he is suddenly transported back to the Joseon period and meets the crown Prince Heon who is on the run from his brother who wants him dead. Eun Ho needs to try and find his way back, but the feelings that grow between himself and Heon constricts him to the past. I feel like the flaw in this drama was the pacing and time constrictions. Honestly, the actors are good at acting, the main couple had okay chemistry that it wasn’t the best but with a few more workshops could have had the potential to improve much more. The kiss scenes weren’t the best I’ve seen from a kdrama but it’s also not the worst so I guess that counts for something, the OST was great and I absolutely loved listening to it, the plot was great with the whole time travel dynamic but because of the short run time it all had to be rushed to the point there was almost no plot progression. If they at least doubled the length of the episodes and added in more scenes to show the relationship buildup of Eun Ho and Heon then I probably wouldn’t have any complains but despite this I did genuinely enjoy this series.

  • HIStory3: Make Our Days Count

    179. HIStory3: Make Our Days Count

    Taiwanese Special - 2019, 20 episodes

    8.0

Do you want to watch a light hearted drama that slowly grows darker and depressing. Look no further. This series is about 2 boys called Yu Shi Gu and Xiang Hao Ting that originally are very different and don’t get on well at all after Hao Ting’s girlfriend starts flirting with Yu Shi Gu. However when Hao Ting falls for Yu Shi Gu and begins chasing after him, their lives change for the better. In order for Hao Ting’s parents to accept him Yu Shi Gu helps Hao Ting study and apply for one of the top university’s so they can have his parents permission, and Yu Shi Gu’s parents were killed in a car accident when he was young. This was so sweet and cute, with many intimate scenes which is why it’s rated 18+, but the last episode was so bad that the plot was ruined for me. I’m not going to spoil it but if you don’t like sad endings then watch every episode except the last (episode 10 or 19 & 20 depending on whether you’re watching the 10 or 20 episode version.)

  • En of Love: This is Love Story

    180. En of Love: This is Love Story

    Thai Drama - 2020, 3 episodes

    8.0

This is the third and final part of the En of Love series. This series is about Nuea, recently heartbroken after his crush Mark and best friend Vee fell in love. One day at a party he sees Praram, the younger brother of Gun Tossakan, his friend’s boyfriend. He immediately falls for Praram’s smile and reaches out for permission to court him. However his brother Gun is less than pleased while Praram’s identical twin brother Pralak is supportive but concerned after hearing thatNuea is considered to be a “playboy” in the university. But when 2 people fall in love, nothing can get in the way. This was the best of the 3 series and although it was short, it was so sweet.

  • Together with Me: The Next Chapter

    181. Together with Me: The Next Chapter

    Thai Drama - 2018, 13 episodes

    7.5

The second season of Together with me, and side story to Bad Romance. This has so many cute moments, and focuses on Korn and Knock after they get engaged and are at risk of being outed to their parents. This can really help to break down stereotypes, and also shows the ridiculous views that people think a gay person is like. I just wish there was a certain scene that was removed, not spoiling it though. And I wish a certain character hadn’t got back with his asshole ex boyfriend. Other than that it’s definitely worth watching!!!!

  • Calaverii Dreptății

    182. Calaverii Dreptății

    Korean Drama - 2016, 20 episodes

    8.0

The K-Pop fan in me jumped out when I saw this series. Originally I was interested because Park Seo Joon, Go Ara, and Park Hyungsik were in it, but after I heard Shinee’s Choi Minho, and BTS’ V were going to be here, I dropped everything to watch this. This is only light Bromance so it probably doesn’t really belong on this list, but it’s really cute and there is a decent plot. This is about the Hwarangs, who are trained as protectors to serve the Queen and future king. The only problem is, no one knows who the king is. After Sun Woo’s best friend is murdered by the unknown king just as he found his real birth father, Sun Woo decides to get revenge. He joins the Hwarangs under the fake identity of his best friend, and is taken in by the father who introduced him to his daughter as her new brother. As Sun Woo begins to fall in love with her, he has to move out and into the Hwarang dormitories so she decides to follow as the new doctor. As he comes closer to working out the kings identity, he realises this mysterious person may be closer than he expects. This series wasn’t fantastic, but as a huge fan of historical dramas this was pretty good and I would absolutely recommend this to any other fans.

  • Anti Reset

    183. Anti Reset

    Taiwanese Drama - 2024, 10 episodes

    7.0

Great premise with a poor execution is the best way I can describe this series, which surprises me because, how do you make such an interesting premise so boring?!!!! This series is about Chu Yi Ping, a teacher who struggles to form connections and bonds with others and has recently hurt his wrist in an accident, is given an offer by his uncle to take on an AI robot who can help him with daily tasks around the house, and also help him learn to trust and communicate with his peers. When Ever 9 shows up, Chu Yi Ping is immediately drawn to him and wants to help him experience and make real memories outside of the information mechanics implanted into his head. However, Ever 9 is still a robot and should therefore be incapable of forming attachments and relationships to humans, so what happens when the two of them enter a relationship knowing that eventually Ever 9 will have to be returned to the company so his memories can be wiped and he’ll assist another master? As I mentioned before, the plot is super interesting and would normally be the sort of thing I’d love, unfortunately I was watching this on 2x speed to get through and by the end was really bored. If the plot is something that interests you I definitely recommend giving it a go, but this is not a series I’ll ever go back to and is probably one I’ll just end up forgetting about.

  • ReminderS

    184. ReminderS

    Thai Drama - 2019, 3 episodes

    8.5

This was kinda strange. This featured Phun and Noh from LoveSick, and also had Saint, Perth, Mean and Plan, who played Pete, Ae, Tin, and Can in Love By Chance. This was not a continuation of Love Sick, or Love By Chance, and I honestly don’t really get the point of it. However I did enjoy it, and as long as you watch it forgetting all you know about the dramas, you could enjoy it to. There’s not really a solid plot, so I can’t write much about it, but as it’s only short, I would suggest watching it for yourself and seeing what you think.

  • Triage

    185. Triage

    Thai Movie - 2019

    9.0

This is only a short movie with the potential to become a full series! As a resident in the hospitals emergency room, Dr. Tihn should be used to encountering situations he cannot control. However when Tol, a boy suffering from a serious heart condition dies in front of him, he is determined to find a way to save him. So when he has the chance to reverse this moment over and over again, can he find a way to save the boy he has fallen hard for? This was cute but very short. Now that a full length series was made I recommend watching that instead of this.

  • Tootsies and The Fake

    186. Tootsies and The Fake

    Thai Movie - 2019

    9.0

This film was a sequel to season 1 and 2. In this Golf accidentally sends the superstar Cathy to hospital, so they must find her lookalikes to take over to shoot a TV commercial that Gus’ ex Top happens to be running. As Gus and Top reconnect while Gus’ current boyfriend Win has agreed to babysit a child, to the annoyance of Gus, they grow further apart as Gus begins meeting with Top. Again, this was hilarious and enjoyable, I really loved this.

  • Golden Blood

    187. Golden Blood

    Thai Drama - 2021, 8 episodes

    6.5

I gave this quite a generous rating because I loved the side couple and storyline, but it was honestly the acting that let me down in this series. This is about a boy called Sky, who is the son of a mafia boss. One day after his father gets into an argument with another boss, he sends his adopted son, Sun, to be his bodyguard. When Sky first meets Sun he hates him because he’s forced to live with him and is constantly shadowed by him, but after getting injured saving his life, Sky sees him in a new light and they become friends. As time goes on Sky and Sun begin to develop feelings for each other, but with their lives in danger and Sky’s unsupportive father, how will their relationship turn out? Although I love Gun and was excited to see him in a main role, he really let me down as his acting was rather poor, and Boat was also rather stiff and expressionless making scenes between them quite awkward and boring at times.

  • Make It Right

    188. Make It Right

    Thai Drama - 2016, 12 episodes

    8.5

This was a really good Thai drama during its time, but it can be confusing at times and is definitely bad compared to several newer series. If I were to rewatch this now I’d probably hate it, but I’m keeping my review the same as when I first watched it. It’s based in a high school, with around 5 or 6 different couples. We see the main couple Tee and Fuse, and how they got together. We also get to see the side couples, like Book and Frame, who were one of my favourite BL couples when I first started watching Thai BL dramas. The good part is that the side couples get just as many scenes as the main couple, so even if there is a couple you don’t like, there are plenty of others to watch. My main complaint is that at times the acting could be better, as it feels quite unrealistic, and I wish there weren’t so many product placements. Other than that it was a really great series. This was the first one I ever watched, so it also holds a very special place in my heart. i wouldn’t say it’s a must watch, but it’s definitely iconic.

  • 189. The Underwear

    Thai Drama - 2017, 10 episodes

    8.5

This has a little bit of everything. It has a gay relationship, a lesbian relationship, and a bisexual character, and a few straight relationships. It has comedy, romance, good friendships, and lots of drama, but there is also some darker themes of suicide and PTSD, eating disorders, and obsession. I did enjoy it, but it felt quite slow and we didn’t really get anywhere with it. This is about a girl called Jay, whose ex boyfriend Chin committed suicide and she is still struggling to deal with this, while knowing that his brother Jump still blames Jay for his death. We meet several different characters and look and the different lives they all live. This is either one you will love or hate, but I actually really enjoyed this one, and would  recommend giving it a go.

  • En of Love: Love Mechanics

    190. En of Love: Love Mechanics

    Thai Drama - 2020, 4 episodes

    8.5

This is the second part to the En of Love series. I would recommend watching TOSSARA first as it makes this series less confusing. One night Mark, broken-hearted after being rejected by his crush Bar, gets drunk and has a one night stand with Vee, who happens to be Bar’s close friend. After they sleep together, they begin a strange relationship as Vee battles with his feelings between Mark and his girlfriend who he knows has been cheating on him too. This is not a perfect relationship, but it is a human one, prone to heartbreak and jealousy. I obviously didn’t like that Mark was drunk when he slept with a sober Vee, and I didn’t like the whole girlfriend mess, but it really wasn’t as bad as I expected so I suggest giving it a go. This has also been remade into a full length series which is 10x better than this so I suggest giving that a go instead of this, unless you want to watch both like I did in which case go for it!

  • This Summer

    191. This Summer

    Chinese Movie - 2015

    9.0

This was very short, and very strange but in a good way. This is about a boy that breaks up with his girlfriend, then finds a stray cat. He takes the cat in and takes care of it until one day it disappears and in its place is a boy. He takes in the boy and looks after him, while praying he won’t leave him alone. This has the same actors from Falling in Love with a Rival/Counterattack. It’s not really anything special, but I just watched it to see them again.

  • Make It Right 2

    192. Make It Right 2

    Thai Drama - 2017, 14 episodes

    8.0

This was a continuation of the second season and I’ll be honest, I completely forgot what this was about. I tried to rewatch it and just couldn’t. Best way to describe this is that I loved it at the time and can barley watch it now, the only reason the rating is as high as it is is purely for nostalgia. The best part of this series was the end with Book and Frames wedding.

  • A Round Trip to Love

    193. A Round Trip to Love

    Chinese Movie - 2016

    9.0

This is a film about 2 boys, Xiao Chen and Lu Feng. They are 2 students at the same university and are deeply in love with each other. However when their disapproving family finds out, they are forced apart with nothing but a small ring to remember their fond relationship. Several years later they meet again, when Lu Feng unknowingly takes over the company Xiao Chen works at, still wearing the ring they exchanged all those years ago. They both realised they still hold the romantic feelings they shared long ago, but the universe clearly does not want them to be happy. Their once sweet relationship turns sour, toxic, and abusive. It’s such a shame that they felt the need to turn such a sweet BL into this, however, as long as you don’t watch the 2nd film, I would definitely recommend this as a stand alone, it’s so sweet and cute and luckily doesn’t really look into their manipulative relationship as much as the second one does.

  • My Dear Loser: Edge of 17

    194. My Dear Loser: Edge of 17

    Thai Drama - 2017, 9 episodes

    8.5

This is a BL, but just barely. There is a couple, but they don’t get together until close to the end, and they have little moments. However, the series as a whole is good. It’s about a boy called Oh, that is really badly bullied by his crushes boyfriend. Her name is Peach and she is nice, but it’s really irritating that she knows her boyfriend is a bully, yet she stays with him. Then a boy called Sun joins the school, and he and Oh became friends, meaning Sun also started getting bullied. But later one of the bullies, called Inn, leaves that gang and becomes friends with Oh, Sun, and another girl they meet called Ainam. From there we see the love triangle between Sun, Inn, and Ainam, as they are all in love with one another. But eventually Sun and Inn are implied to have gotten together, which later was confirmed during the standoff series Our Skyy. It’s kinda cute, and definitely worth giving a go, who knows, you may love it!!

  • Mr. X and I Season 2

    195. Mr. X and I Season 2

    Chinese Drama - 2015, 6 episodes

    8.5

This was sooooo cute! I still can’t believe this was based on a real life story! This is about a boy called Zhengxi who falls in love with his friend Tao Ye. But Tao Ye is in love, and gets into a relationship with another girl, who makes it her mission to keep Tao Ye and Zhengxi apart. Meanwhile Zhengxi’s best friend Ai Tong has his back and stays by his side no matter what. I loved the friendship between Zhengxi and Ai Tong, as she was an amazing best friend, who was always there for Zhengxi whenever he needed her, and she always stood up for him. The ending I was so happy with. It probably won’t end how you expect it to, but I loved the ending couple, and I was crying on the last episode because of how sweet it all was! I would definitely recommend this to anyone interested!

  • Hello Stranger

    196. Hello Stranger

    Filipino Drama - 2020, 8 episodes

    8.0

This series wasn’t the best Filipino series I’ve seen, but I still did enjoy it regardless. This is during the Covid pandemic in high school. Mico is an intelligent boy with his whole life preplanned out. Xavier is the schools star basketball player that needs to get his grades up for his final project or he will he kicked off the team. The 2 polar opposites are paired together for the final project and must work together to achieve the marks they need. But while they study they form a bond more than friends, but will Xaviers girlfriend get in the way of this? I don’t know if I enjoyed this as much as everyone else seemed to, but it was still really good and I’m glad I was able to watch it regardless.

  • Ryu Sun Bi's Wedding Ceremony

    197. Ryu Sun Bi's Wedding Ceremony

    Korean Drama - 2021, 8 episodes

    8.0

This is one of those dramas that has a great plot, but wasn’t done as well as it could have. This is a mini series about a wedding between Ryu Ho Seon and Choi Hwa Jin, however after the ceremony Ho Seon discovers that the person he married was not Hwa Jin, but Ki Wan, her brother who agreed to pretend to be Hwa Jin and get married after she ran away days before the ceremony. Ki Wan asks Ho Seon to pretend with him until Hwa Jin returns, but as the two of them begin to develop real feelings, how will their relationship proceed? This was such a cute, awesome plot but unfortunately this series has many inaccuracies culturally and historically, and there were many unnecessary scenes which just ended up wasting the limited time this series already had. Overall I think it’s a nice series when you’re bored with nothing else to watch, but it’s not the kind of drama you’ll ever go back to and is rather forgettable.

  • Ai Long Nai

    198. Ai Long Nai

    Thai Drama - 2022, 12 episodes

    7.5

I’ll be 100% honest, the only reason I watched this series is because I knew PorschArm were in this. For those of you who don’t know, Porsch and Arm are a real life, married, gay couple, and in this series they are playing Sippakorn and Jaonan, the fathers of the main character Aiyaret. Ai was studying abroad in Toronto but, after being expelled due to violence, is forced by his father to return to Thailand and transfer to a school Sippakorn used to work at. At this school, Ai meets Chen Nhai, a clumsy and forgetful boy who carried around a little duck keychain that he is always dropping. This keychain was given to him by his father, who told Nhai that only when he can prove he can take care of the duck, is he allowed to get a girlfriend. Ai falls in love with Nhai from the moment they first met, and resolves to take care of him and his duck keychain. After Ai invites Nhai and his friends to his condo, they end up getting drunk and sleeping together. Ai agrees to take responsibility and decides to flirt with Nhai, hoping to make Nhai his boyfriend. But what happens when Ai’s mother suddenly appears after years of ignoring Ai’s existence, determined to split Ai and Nhai up? Ai seeks help from his father Sippakorn, and his adopted father Jaonan (who his mother hates, believing Jaonan lured Sippakorn away and stole the life she could have had), to prevent his mother from getting close and hurting himself and Nhai. Will Nhai agree to Ai’s mothers demands to break up with Ai, or will their relationship grow stronger through the trials they face together? I’ll be honest, aside from the fact that we had a queer couple raising their son together and the chemistry between the couples, there’s nothing else that really drew me into this series. The subtitles are awful and the plot is sweet but basic. I still recommend watching this for PorschArm, but be warned you’ll probably want to fast forward most of this series.

  • Kiss

    199. Kiss

    Thai Drama - 2016, 16 episodes

    7.5

This is based after the events of Kiss Me Again, but you should watch this one first. This is based on a girl called Sandee who is constantly surrounded by her male friends. But one day she wakes up in bed naked with her best friend Thada, and neither of them have any memory of what happened. They tried to hide it from all their friends, but it becomes quite hard when she gets a boyfriend, and feelings between her and Thada begin developing. It also looks at Sandees older sister Sanrak when she takes on an apprenticeship at her sisters ex boyfriend Na’s company. We meet Sanraks awful, 2 timing, ex boyfriend First, and see their relationship fall apart, and her and Na slowly becoming something more than friends. To be honest I skipped a lot out, mainly Sanrak and Na’s story because I was bored, but it is definitely worth a watch, especially for the ending!! I will say that there is a gay couple, but you don’t find this out until close to the end, but they are one of my favourite BL couples ever, so you should definitely watch, even if it is just for them. This series is on Netflix now, so you can now watch it through there, which is really great!

  • The Shipper

    200. The Shipper

    Thai Drama - 2020, 12 episodes

    7.5

This series started off as a comedy but soon ventured into a darker and sadder territory. This series is about Pan, she and her friend Soda are shippers who write fiction about boys love, including the schools bad boy Way and the intelligent student Kim who are best friends and shipped by most of the school despite Way’s girlfriend Phingphing. However one day Way is nearly expelled after fighting with Kim about the fiction, so Pan reaches out to Kim to apologise, and he offers to take her home. On the way back they get into an accident and are killed, however the Angel of Death made a mistake and they shouldn’t have been killed so they are pushed back to the living world, but there is one problem. Pan was pushed into Kim’s body while her own body is in a coma and Kim is nowhere to be found. Pan must live as Kim while the Angel of Death finds a way to send her back to her own body. While Pan lives as Kim she realises life isn’t as simple as the Shipper once believed it to be. Can Pan successfully make her ship a reality whenSoda and her friend Khet are close to discovering her secret? I had many reservations about this, and while it was better than I expected, I also knew from the beginning it wasn’t going to be aa amazing as other GMMTV shows. This will be controversial but I actually liked the ending despite how sad it was, possibly because I guessed it would happen all along.
