CLASSICS FOR NEWBIES

Man, I love Kim Rae Won.  Man, I didn't like this drama.  I watched it for the ambience and my bias and the era thing and the whole Uni-life vibe etc..  Be that as it may, you'll never hear from my mouth that KRW acting was anything less than stellar!

This is a classic, that most solid drama lovers have under their belt.

omo!  Thinking of passing this over like I did for a coupla?  DON'T.  Just click on it and you won't regret.  Nuff said.

Excellent drama for fantasy romance lovers. :)  Soo full of charm and lol humour,  I'd hate if you didn't at least check it out.  The chemistry is on fire, not just with the leads but the entire cast.  I fell in love with the female lead in this drama.  Until I saw her (Jun Ji Hyun ) in this, she never captured my heart, not even in My Love From the Stars.  I feel like this drama hit all the right buttons to showcase Jun Ji Hyun's excellent comedic timing and sense of humour.  Not taking anything from Lee Min Ho, but she stole the show - in my opinion.   Jun Ji Hyun needs another notch on her belt, like she needs a grain of sand on a 50 mile beach, but this drama is just another trinket to add to her mountainous pile.  And I am so NOT jealous!  She is toooo talented!  LOVE HER.

Cinematography was fantastic, styling was great, story held up well with a little drag here and there.

What I didn't like so much were the flashbacks to costume Joseon era.  Though it was what fleshed out the base (foundation) of the story, I found it very yawn, but necessary - I guess. 

Oddly, I enjoyed this drama  best the 3rd time.

Man, this is where I first discovered the godawful hours SK students put into their school systems.  I didn't particularly like this drama but I watched it all because for some unknown reason - probably the peep into the education system - it kept my interest.  Have a look on Dramacool and be your own judge.

Note that I don't have a rating for this one.  I never completed it.  Gave up after multiple tries and the inability to get past episode 4.  Just couldn't do it no matter how popular this drama is, and man is it popular, that's why it's listed here.  It is super popular for newbies too, but I found it just couldn't keep my attention.   This falls into the category of -" Dramas I struggle with despite their popularity. "  I usually won't struggle with a drama unless it's so popular, I feel like I must be missing something.  So far in my drama journey  there have only been two and this is one of them.  The other is still sitting in my "Currently Watching" list since the day it came out years ago.  It travels back and forth from my "On-Hold" section. - Nirvana In Fire.

 I have a few other 9 tailed fox dramas and loved them, so that wasn't my issue.  Perhaps I'll give it another go in the far future, after all, we're talking about two of my favorite lead actors in their early years. :)  One thing though,  The OST for this drama is outstanding and is still a part of my playlist multiple years since this came out.  The two main leads are now mega super stars.

I just can't imagine Rain in this role as ml.  We all know who got the  ML IRL, but  in "this drama" we got a great pairing with excellent chemistry nevertheless! - though I bet it got tense for Rain on the set a coupla.  lol.   When I found the backstory for the casting of this drama, my respect for the art of acting and the actors who excel at it, shot up another notch.  And even more so, after I completed this.  This is one that's a good re-watch drama.

 I LOVED this Cinderella drama!  And if you like Cinderella stories, you will too. Read the synopsis, it's on point.   Can't think of anything I disliked.  All the rolls were well played.  Beautiful cinematography, great antagonists, dashing ML and charming and winsome FL.  If I were to find any fault, it would be with the very ending, which was a little odd, but I believe there's a "story" about that too.

A great watch, especially for newbies.

Great comedy, great story, excellent actors. Tons of fun!  Had to force it down that they made SiWon so gullible to start, but that is the character and the story woudn't work otherwise.  Definitely worth watching.
