My Favorite Xianxia's

I've learned to appreciate this drama the more I watch Xianxia mainly because it does have a happy ending, which I've learned is asking a lot! The leads have great chemistry, the OST is BOMBASTIC and I love coming back to this drama. 

Such a cute show with one of the BEST male leads in a Xianxia that I have ever seen along with exceptional character growth overall. Do yourself a favour and watch this. 

Love and Redemption  or The Trials of Xi Feng as I've fondly renamed it is such a great drama. It frustrated me that the female lead was so obtuse, but she made up for it later on in the story. Strangely, I was never bored watching this, although it is a time commitment. 

The female baddie is very annoying, but one thing that I love about this drama is the speed at which it wraps up its conflict. Misunderstandings aren't left to simmer for too long and it has decent pacing. I became a Ni Ni stan from watching this! Love their mature, committed love. 

Tissues are required for this viewing. That is all. Prepare to fall for the most tortured male lead and swoon at the gorgeous set design and costumes.
