A Certain Kind of Warm Feeling
Maybe something that rings true, something that resonates with me, something soft and warm even though it may be sad, a touch of something romantic and heartwarming, and comforting, with an "I don't want this to be over" feeling, and beautiful to look at with a calm yet bright cinematography. WHY are dramas like this so hard to find? They can be more or less different types of dramas and fit in more or less perfectly, but at least I have found a few... (A romance to make me smile and/or a man to make me swoon is a bonus. If he's my type and my age or older - over 40 - it would be even better. But is there really any drama that has it all?!)
The ratings don't always match the ranking on this list (as with most of my lists), because there are many things to like or not like about a drama. Just like there are many dramas I also love a lot, but they don't fit in with this list!

1. An Untitled JTBC Project
Korean Drama - 2022, 16 episodes
Pretty close to perfection as far as this list goes! This drama made me happy because it made me FEEL things, and even though I'm nothing like the FL, I could relate to her so much. I guess I cared less about the sister's storyline but I liked her too, and the brother, well... he tried so hard, dear boy! Just the right amount of comic relief. And while I don't find Mr Gu *the* hottest man I've ever seen, I fell for him more and more as I watched the drama. (And then I read some fanfic.)

2. On The Way To The Airport
Korean Drama - 2016, 16 episodes
This drama is about two people who need something else in life than what they have, and they find each other. It's absolutely beautiful in every possible way and still my favourite romance of all times.
-
3. A Piece of Your Mind
Korean Drama - 2020, 12 episodes
This drama is a piece of poetry. I didn't love everything about it, and the ML is not my type, but I loved it.
-
4. Meet Yourself
Chinese Drama - 2023, 40 episodes
Oh, probably the sweetest and most heartwarming drama I've ever watched! Really good friends to lovers romance and the kind of drama I wish I could go and live in.
-
5. Go Ahead
Chinese Drama - 2020, 46 episodes
From the same team as the title above (and there are similarities, and the references to this in MY are fun), and I liked it a lot, but the rating isn't perfect. Why? Because I didn't care about the romance and some parts were less interesting... It also has heartwarming moments (and the best dad in Dramaland), but it is also at times so emotionally intense that it was almost painful to watch. I have no idea why people call this a romcom.

6. Shinya Shokudo
Japanese Drama - 2009, 10 episodes
I put this here but I really mean the whole series. Very calming and relaxing!
-
7. Sunny
Korean Movie - 2011
Not a drama, but it fits this list I believe! (I watched it a long time ago but I remember it as such.)
-
8. I Don't Want To Do Anything
Korean Drama - 2022, 12 episodes
It has some similarities to Meet Yourself, but with a bit of added mystery and some typical stuff. Very nice to watch though!
-
9. Shall I Have a Cup of Coffee?
Korean Drama - 2021, 12 episodes
It's not a very "special" drama but it has this very warm, calm and sweet mood that I'm looking for!
-
10. When the Weather Is Fine
Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes
I liked it, it was calm and slow-paced and nice... but I don't seem to have liked it as much as most people. It does fit this list, but I guess I was annoyed by some characters and plot twists to the point of not giving it a higher rating. (It would be spoilery to go into detail.)
-
11. Le Vrai Où
Chinese Special - 2020, 1 episode
It's kind of silly to put it on this list, because it's incredibly short (ten minutes or so!), but I believe that it would belong if it was a real drama, so...
-
12. Saigo Kara Nibanme no Koi
Japanese Drama - 2012, 11 episodes
I watched it a very long time ago, but I remember it as the first drama to give me the feeling of "if I could live in a drama, it would be this one"!
-
13. Silent
Japanese Drama - 2022, 11 episodes
It sounded like a typical and maybe depressing drama at first, but it was actually so sweet and warm. Now as we are in the bottom half of the list, it's no longer a perfect match to my criteria, but it's close enough that it deserves a spot here!
-
14. Only One Person
Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes
It was an odd little thing... some pretty unique parts, some weirdly funny ones, something of that special feeling this list is for... but also some boring very typical k-drama things. I wasn't impressed by the romance at all.
