1. Death's Game Part 2
Korean Drama - 2024, 4 episodes
Death’s Game offers a high-octane action-packed story with an incredible cast. I enjoyed this. Though the cameos were sometimes very brief, it was expected with this type of premise. While most of the story relies on action to move the plot, the last note tries to tug at the heartstrings. It feels a bit uneven in tone, but overall well done! (5 Jan)

2. Gyeongseong Creature
Korean Drama - 2023, 10 episodes
I can’t get enough of this creepy-as-hell opening theme!!
Gyeongseong Creature is a monster story that explores the depravity and desperation of human beings. I appreciated the re-imagined historical backdrop and the sympathy for the monster take. Entertaining enough to watch, but I found it kind of predictable. I personally had issues with the romance line since it wasn’t timed very well. Yet overall, I did like how this drama wrapped.
I loved Han Soo Hee’s acting with the creature.
It’s funny to me that her chemistry with this gruesome creature was better than it was with Park Seo Joon. Haha!! (6 Jan) -
3. Single’s Inferno Season 3
Korean TV Show - 2023, 11 episodes
I enjoyed the added elements in season three. It did add extra intrigue. All the Lee Gwan Hee drama this season made for peak television!! God, he's sooo indecisive! Choi Hye Seon and Lee Jin Seok were my favorites this season. (9 Jan)

4. Bun-venit în Samdal-ri
Korean Drama - 2023, 16 episodes
I really wanted more for our Cho Sam Dal and Cho Yong Pil! Ji Chang Wook had the sweetest heart eyes as our male lead. I really enjoyed the backstory of the Mi Jas and watching their friendship and their families. Even so, this drama felt quite rushed towards the end and had significant pacing issues. I wasn't so pleased with how they wrapped up a number of the plotlines, and the finale ... I don't quite know what it added to the plot. I needed more cute between our lead couple ... This could have been an OTP ... but ... (21 Jan)

5. Iubirea Ochilor Tăi
Japanese Drama - 2024, 10 episodes
The lead couple is soooo precious!
This is an excellent fluff show. I really liked the light tone and the recurring themes of sea otters and the children’s picture book. Yuri and Tae Oh are absolutely darling ~
It is great to see Chae Jong Hyeop in a Japanese production. He is such a cutie pie!! (5 May)

6. Time Walking on Memory
Korean Drama - 2024, 16 episodes
The lead couple was adorable, but this drama is extremely light on plot. I feel like the premise from the start was intriguing enough, but don’t invest and try to rationalize the multiple timelines, it won’t matter in the end. While I feel the overall message that our memories across lifetimes accumulate in our souls, it makes for such messy writing … This is a multiple-timeline drama where none of the timelines matter …
The drama goes all in on this inconsequential murderous taxi driver plot, which makes little to no sense … It’s particularly shameful how much airtime they dedicate to it to just deal away with it in the most unsatisfactory way at the beginning of the finale.
Though this drama has a promising start and an adorable lead couple, this drama had too much filler for my liking. (28 May)

8. 9 Border
Japanese Drama - 2024, 10 episodes
There wasn’t anything real groundbreaking about this drama. The storyline is pretty predictable, and the characters are pretty cookie-cutter. Surprisingly, I did enjoy it, and I liked the relaxing tone. This was a nice, relaxing watch. (2 Jul)

9. Lost You Forever Season 2
Chinese Drama - 2024, 23 episodes
I appreciated that they continued this story.
Yang Zi and Zhang Wan Yi had such memorable scenes and captivating chemistry.
This season didn't have enough Xiangliu for my liking.
Since I've only watched the drama, I needed more exposition for Xiangliu's scenes in particular. There were a number of motifs and symbols that went right over my head. I wish there were more episodes, since I feel like the story was shortened and changed. The editing choices seemed a bit choppy in parts. I enjoyed watching this, but season 2 can't compete with the 1st season. (23 Jul) -
10. The Boyfriend
Japanese TV Show - 2024, 10 episodes
What can I say it’s a sweet cozy watch where these young men live together and run a coffee truck and go on dates. This feels very similar to Terrace House. It’s so wholesome!! (3 Aug)

11. Gyeongseong Creature Season 2
Korean Drama - 2024, 7 episodes
Yes, I strongly believe that this could have remained just the first season. I am still not quite sure what season 2 was trying to accomplish. I really missed the original premise of the first season.
But did I enjoy season 2? Yes, yes, I did. The plot is fairly predictable, and the love story pretty cringey, but the action and the fighting was fun and messy. Set in modern day Seoul, the tone is more action science fiction than gooey monster horror. But I still managed to binge this in a day, so it must have been compelling enough to keep my interest. 12. Mom’s Friend’s Son
Korean Drama - 2024, 16 episodes
This was a sweet family comedy. Super light on plot, and it didn’t utilize the plot points it does introduce well.
Regardless, I loved the main couple.
Watch this for the sweet cuddley romance and the mindless family shenanigans. (6 Oct)

17. Love in the Big City
Korean Drama - 2024, 8 episodes
The drama follows Go Young’s through his ups and downs of love and life. Young’s search for love follows him through a series of relationships and situationships. Young’s romantic partnerships often feel more like a revolving door. Well at least his relationships give him a lot of good material to write about.
I appreciate this drama for its focus on quality and its work to normalize gay relationships.
I find myself torn since I can acknowledge the drama is quite well done, but this story didn’t particularly resonate with me. And that is completely okay! (22 Dec)
