The XIANXIA Ranking Project

Really good except for that dull human arc. (What is it with mortal realm arcs in xianxia? I seem to always not enjoy them.)

I sometimes listen to parts of the OST, which is rare when it comes to C- or K-drama and their exemplary musical mediocrity as compared to Japanese and most Western productions.

There was once upon a time a whisper...

... and it was (purportedly) blue.

Philosophically and psychologically interesting - a pleasant surprise, giving the show some depth which xianxia usually lacks.

Its strongest feature is the overall aesthetic. Not usually a good thing, no matter how good it may be, for that to be so notable over aspects such as acting, direction, plots.

Still has the single most stunning and shocking moment in any drama I've watched logged on this site. But the story is farcical - SPOILER - at least the FL understands it and stops the asinine madness... not that it makes up for her unfathomable actions earlier on, though...
