[Chinese] Watched - 2024

- boring as hell :(

- cute but I skipped so much

- obsessed w ML

- FL didnt sell it for me...

- dropped end of E25

lots of complicated feelings about this that I cant put into words even tho its making me anxious but - this could have been my fav cdrama, and it was in the beginning, and it didnt nec have that One Event that ruined everything but - things kept happening that I hated, or not happening that I desp wished for, and I think the thing that fucks me up is a tantalizing FL who is so great that I want even more from her but they dont deliver - like why did she stop creating ingenious plans on her own, why was she only narrating ML's plans or shown as smart specifically bc she knew what he was up to, why did her plans never work, why did she not have as  solid of a personal ambition, why were they so good at knowing each other but they still couldn't just communicate (idw be CP / u need to be CP) - they got married but it was the worst wedding and they (esp he) was so cold to her for so long - why was it always him losing to her bc he loves her and not bc she ACTUALLY bested him 

a lot of the show was about them having different ideals and the contrast in it which sure is interesting but godddd I just loved it when they worked together and were on the same page an I would have preferred that they work thru their ideological differences with full forthright communication bc theyre at their strongest and most fun when scheming together and I just hate that as the show went on, the FL had less INDEPENDENCE in her actions like she didnt do shit on her own execute shit on her own (successfully) and it always is an ML being the real star, the true strongest, even if the setup of the show is "equals"

I  wanted more, I could have had it, I ALMOST had it, and those are always the ones that fuck me up the most then make me feel crazy for being oversensitive like ik I couldn't argue w someone about this.

 the moments of her being sultry cunning and cool - I loved them so much and I wanted infinite more, WITH PURPOSE! thats the important part

Dropped at E25 after the SA scene - the romance is really not something thats easy to root for or fall into outside of a few moments that diminish more and more into the progression of the show. I love how smart and competent and relevant the FL is allowed to be, and I love her interactions with the King / her dad, but ya I couldn't continue even tho a part of me wanted to
