Dramas that got me f’ed up (My High Rec List)

Thoughts:

This really got me so f’ed up that even to this day I'm still not over it. Liked I’ve never in my life have had a kdrama stress me out so much. If you are the type to multi task or use your phone while watching stuff, this isn’t for you. You have to pay attention. This drama will throw a lot of twists, names, and “did you catch that?” moments around so it can get confusing.

The acting in this really is incredible. Anger, deception, sadness; they really nailed everything. The way you will develop so many theories after every episode and have them crushed in the next. This will really get your brain to work over time. 100% recommend this drama and if you say no then we can’t be friends sorry.

Extra Notes: Little romance. Brutal scenes. Buddy cops~

Favorite Character: Jung Bareum

Thoughts:

When I say how invested in this show I was, it would be an understatement. This was my first drama where I actually gave a damn about every single character. They were all so memorable and lovable in their own way. The relationship and family bond between the Geumga residents was absolutely heart warming. So many laughs god this show is so funny omg

The revenge plot was so satisfying and well planned that it just kept getting better as it went along. Vinny was always 50 steps ahead. 

The romance between the two leads was subtle which I found realistic. It's a very slow burn. 

Extra Notes: Great fight scenes. Beautiful cinematography. Incredible writing.

Favorite Character: Jang Hanseo

Thoughts:

My favorite romcom hands DOWN. Like I can write a thesis on how much I love this drama but I gotta keep it short lol. The acting of the FL was so incredible like she nailed the mannerisms. She's so powerful like please I wanna be her when I grow up lmaooo. Great characters and perfect chemistry is what really sells the show. There is so many body switch dramas but this one really does it right. 

I know some people aren't into historical dramas but trust me, you are gunna like this one.

Extra Notes: SO HILARIOUS. Modern twist. Corruption. Gender swap.

Favorite Character(s): Kim Soyong (the Queen) & Court Lady Choi

Thoughts:

My first makjang drama. At first, makjang dramas weren't my cup of tea cuz of how unrealistic and crazy they can get, but I wanted to give it a try. My god I was missing out. It really was insane with all the twists like every episode is gunna make you scream at your screen.

Extra Notes: Romance yes? lmao

Favorite Character: No one lmaoo. Everyone sucks but its still so good.

Thoughts:

Seriously deserves the rating it gets on MDL. I got so emotional during this. It felt like my heart was getting ripped out of my chest. The acting was incredible and the storytelling was fantastic. I cried every episode and that's for a fact.

Extra Notes: Married couple so a bit of romance. Family!!!!

Favorite Character(s): Baek HeeSung & Kim MooJin 

Thoughts:

This show is so god damn wild with all the twists and unrealistic situations that I get whiplash after every episode. It really be like a true soap opera with all the yelling and corruption. Like I want this show to end but I can't stop watching. Really how it be like lmaooo

Favorite Character: Logan Lee

Thoughts:

One word: ACTING. Like good LORD can Yeo JinGoo act his ass off. The ability to play two different people really deserves an oscar plz  give him one!!!

Favorite Character: Clown HaSun

Thoughts:

The way Lee Jehoon plays dress up every week was just so fantastic lmaooo. The cases he has to go undercover for really hits close to home since they truly happen irl. I'm so glad there is a drama that brings this shit to light. If you live for revenge dramas, I HIGHLY recommend this.

Favorite Character: Kim DoGi

Thoughts:

God bless this drama seriously. I love when shows make me feel exactly what the main character is feeling. Everyone around the ML was just terrible and I even felt myself going insane. Fair warning that there is slight gore and it can get creepy.

Extra Notes: No romance. Obsession. Kinda gay oop-

Favorite Character: Seo MoonJo

Thoughts:

This was so cute and it really made my heart so full! It had such a perfect balance of romance and comedy that was so *chef's kiss*. The characters were so lovable and I was even super interested in the second lead couple which is pretty rare for me! Definitely give this one a try!

Extra Notes: Sorta slow burn? I wanna be Lee Dam when I grow up lmao.

Favorite Character(s): Lee Dam & Do JaeJin

Thoughts:

THE SUSPENSE!!! Lord I was on the edge of my seat with this one I couldn't stop clicking next episode. This definitely has some triggering aspects so a small warning when going into this but it's so damn good! Incredible acting from everyone including the villains. 

Extra Notes: Brave FL. No Romance but it's slightly there. 

Favorite Character: Seok DongChul

Thoughts: 

LET ME TELL YOU WHEN I SAY THERE ARE ABSOLUTELY NO BAD PEOPLE IN THIS. Like you are gunna love EVERYONE! The friendship is what really keeps you super invested like I laughed and cried right along side them. This is definitely a feel good drama and pretty wholesomeness.

This is also probably on everyone's recommend list and for good reason too lol

Extra Notes: Romance yes but it isn't the main point here. You will cry lol

Favorite Character: Lee Ikjun

Thoughts:

How this doesn't have multiple seasons is a crime against humanity. Like seriously this is probably the only drama that would deserve it. 

There is so many strong characters and backstories that are just so interesting. Learning about them making you love and care for them even more. I seriously cried every episode. Probably because I'm an emotional bitch but seriously this show does a good job at being a tear jerker. The acting is top notch like I was blown away and convinced. Definitely 100% recommend this one!

Extra Notes: No romance but there is a growing one. Great fight scenes. Powerful FL.
