My absolute favorites everyone MUST watch!
changed the course of history (and my life) would absolutely rewatch if I haven't done so already. No particular order I just added them as they came to mind.

1. Interpret My Love With Your Heart
Thai Drama - 2020, 5 episodes
Been thinking about this for a whole year after I first watched it. Searched every type of content about it from edits to deep analysis because there is just SO much to take from it. Every detail about it is very thought through. There's just not a single thing I don't love about it (except, perhaps, the sequel).

2. Not Me
Thai Drama - 2021, 14 episodes
We can't say nowadays there aren't any lgbt series that talk about the issues lgbt people go through, but none of them do it as well as Not Me. Albeit the main plot is not directly related to the activism of the main characters (but even without it, it's interesting on its own) and serves more as a background where it develops, the several social-political struggles of the minorities in society are still very well represented. Ultimately, A well-elaborated work of fiction about people who fall in love also performs as a huge wake-up call for Thailand's conservative society.

3. Manner of Death
Thai Drama - 2020, 14 episodes
An immensely smart heavy plot with an immensely talented cast and well-developed production that leaves whoever watches this with their heads spinning around for WEEKS. It is the perfect result of mixing crime & mystery genres with the romantic trope of falling in love with your first suspect! Also, believe it or not, a lot of domestic bliss and found family.

4. Triage
Thai Drama - 2022, 13 episodes
Same author and production from Manner of Death, yet still managed to leave me highly impressed. If I can't put into words how our future depends on no such thing as fate, but our own actions instead, I might as well just tell you to watch this series. I just wanna repeat over and over how well done this is, but I would still fall short to describe how they managed to produce a very complicated plot such as time traveling, where your relationship with the person you fall in love with resets over and over, all while trying to save his life... and they somehow also included character development. What more could I say?

5. Aterizare Forțată în Brațele Tale
Korean Drama - 2019, 16 episodes
solitary rich empowered ceo woman from South Korea paraglides into a muscular North Korean human version of a golden retriever. Literally. A well-developed trope of an extroverted stubborn spoiled woman who meets a socially awkward loyal and kind man with a frustrated pianist career. Star-crossed lovers because their respective countries are on bad terms, but also fated lovers because they met several times before the accident without knowing so, despite every difficulty, it's just about them loving and taking care of each other.

6. Bad Buddy
Thai Drama - 2021, 12 episodes
The absolute best out there for those who're in search of a high-quality romcom, with the additional taste of a (not so) rivals-to-lovers, basically the gay, XXI century version of romeo & Juliet, a happy ending and a wlw side couple! Yes, there is more: directed by the amazing p'aof, killing chemistry between the main characters and an excellent ost. A full-course meal, dessert included.

7. Mutarea în Rai
Korean Drama - 2021, 10 episodes
Hell, this was a crying fest, ngl. I cried so much that I had to stop watching every so and then because I couldn't even see from all the tears blocking my vision, so beware. Still, one of the best things I've ever watched, soooo well done. Every episode covers a different story, and every single one of them is so deeply and emotionally carved, very touching. I have to say, the acting was brilliant, given the fact that the actor wasn't that experienced and he had to carry out such a hard role as an autistic boy and make it believable (and not stigmatizing), but he did so faultlessly.

8. Semantic Error
Korean Drama - 2022, 8 episodes
This is objectively speaking the best kbl so far. And I'm not saying it because I'm a sucker for enemies-to-lovers and opposites attract tropes, but because it's the kbl with the greatest success and best reaction from viewers. And it's very well deserved. How did they manage to cast 2 idols that are physically identical to the manhwa characters is beyond me. And they not only put on an outstanding performance conveying their personalities with accuracy, but they also added so much to the drama by IMPROVISING. They left everyone speechless.

9. Monster
Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes
This is the only drama on the list that isn’t romance, but there's a huge palpable sexual tension between the main characters so it kinda compensates. Main character with some sort of a martyr complex and very questionable morals meets young spoiled rich detective whose obsession with main character increases in direct proportion to the progress of the plot. Did I mention he hated his guts at first? Yeah, he's equally mad in the head. Basically, a crime & mystery drama about two detectives who become each other's ride or die, somehow.
