Excellent BL / Gay Movies & Series

Unmissable. The emotional impact of this short movie will stay with me forever. 

One of the great, if not the greatest, couples in this genre. Both actors nail their portrayal of these characters, and the chemistry is still mostly unparalleled. 

"I just need to balance myself once, and I'll be safe forever".

A romance/coming of age story with a darker undercurrent spotlighting mental health conditions, grief, guilt and accepting loss. Show delivered scene after scene of natural acting, outstanding chemistry and offbeat cinematography.

While the show had its rough edges—such as editing, scene transitions, and occasional shortcomings in dialogue and storytelling—it excelled in showcasing the value of stepping back from the fast-paced assembly line approach. Despite a few unfortunate missteps (like episode 7, a too-easily resolved conflict, and the portrayal of the therapist), The Eighth Sense succeeded in its core mission.

Like many productions within the genre, the series operated on a modest budget, it was not an adaptation and one of the main leads was cast directly off the street without prior acting experience. Yet, when passion, sincerity, boldness, and care come together, remarkable things can happen. Watching this, it felt as if every single person involved was fully committed to bringing their A-game.

Art.

Has one of the most beautifully shot, emotionally charged and well-acted confession scenes.
And cake. 

Simple, unassuming, healing and so, so very heartwarming.

I liked their chemistry and how the relationship progressed slowly and in an undramatic way.
Strong acting all around, beautiful scenery and the main themes of the story were just lovely.
The cinematography and how everything seemed to become warmer as the story progressed was a really nice touch.

The emotional impact sneaks up on you, because of the quiet nature of the movie, but it's impossible not to be moved at the end. It's the kind of movie that should be watched at least twice to catch all the subtle details.

"Thank you for coming to this house". There was so much love in that statement.

"To truly love someone is for them to become your only exception".

The best part is when you realize, it's really not about them.
