OCN "Reset" the "Bad Boys"

OCN is one of South Korea’s most acknowledged cable channels. Due to the success of its detective thrillers such as God’s Quiz, Vampire Prosecutor, Special Affairs Team TEN and their sequels, OCN has become a proclaimed channel when it comes to making many pleasant, crime-thriller procedurals.

After the recent resuming of God’s Quiz Season 4, OCN still has more intriguing dramas up its sleeves for this year. Here are two of the most anticipated dramas to expect from the channel in the near future.

Reset

Starring Chun Jung Myung and the promising young actress Kim So Hyun; the drama tells the story of a prosecutor who uses hypnosis to get confessions out of criminals. He also holds an unbearable hurtful trauma that goes back to fifteen years ago. His memory is locked about a certain incident in his past which forbids him from controlling his present life.

Alongside our prosecutor comes a delinquent-like high school girl who happens to be a splitting image of our hero’s first love. She’s framed for murder (or pretends to be) when she meets the prosecutor, triggering a whole new chain of events to begin. The memories start to unfold while the mysterious murderer is out there hunting both of their lives.

Bad Boys

These are “The bad boys who catch bad guys” as OCN described them in the poster’s tagline. This drama’s idea is something original and well-illustrated. It features a group of psycho killers who form an investigation unit to catch a devil-like criminal.

The unit will be led by Kim Sang Joong, a detective who’s known of his eccentric manners and crazy methods. Being even worse than the criminal bad boys, he’s assigned to lead the pack of “dogs” to do what they’re asked to. As for the team itself, Park Hae Jin will play the most important member of the bad boys; a genius psycho killer with few doctorates, a high IQ and many creative murders. There’s also Ma Dong Seok in the role of a gang’s leader with many ruthless killings. Finally, we get our main female character played by Kang Ye Won as a detective who works with the team.

Personally, OCN is one my favorite Asian channels. It has this way of making crime-thrillers sound very intriguing with wonderful characterization and events’ flowing. Therefore, I am absolutely looking forward to these dramas or any drama made by OCN.
