A completely different era and country, but both dramas follow three very different women looking to make their way in a male dominated world. Both are well-produced and tightly written.

A Dream of Splendor is a bit more romance focused, but both have romance elements.

Well the similarities between the two dramas can be summed up as follow :
* Both dramas ar historical costumes dramas with romance
* Both female leads are strong talented woman who use commerce as a mean of obtaining their independance
* Both male leads have strong martial art, of more or less noble birth and have ties to politics and investigation
*Both couple work and support each other to uncover a conspiracy
* The lead couple for both dramas have very good chemistry and work well together
* The humour and comedy that alleviates the overal feellig for the drama

Both great dramas, both dramas have leads with great chemistry between the leads, bothqare underrated on MDL lol.
