Wonderful Euwoo
I rarely watch kdramas right now because I'm too busy but something about Eunwoo in the trailer made me so curious and I'm so thankful I watched it because this kdrama is so impressive. It's one of the best I've ever watched. The sory, the acting, the music, everything is perfect, even the acting of support characters are great. Kim Namjoo and Cha Euwoo's acting are top notch. I will never forget Seonyul, a character that will forever remain in my heart. Kudos to the scriptwriter, director, all the cast and all the staff and crew of Wonderful Word. You are all wonderful.

Grief is the main actor, and it is about to expose (of) them all
Definitely not your typical kdrama. But it is for somewhat niche audience, those into long-winded dark, dreary and repetitive points hitting the same spot.I like those dramas when there is a point to it and not exploitation of negative emotion. And there was. The point, I believe.
Overwhelming in intense gloomy and tragic undertones. Grief and coping are the actors in this drama, taking a large podium, to not immerse but drown each character. As if both take on a mercenary role. Each character is both momentarily rewarded and ultimately punished by decisions they made, rejecting grieving and coping in service of revenge. Grief is the main actor and not revenge, that is the point. And it punishes each character accordingly for that lack of awareness.
Which is an interesting take for a kdrama, not gonna lie.
The chemistry between Soo-hyun and Seon-yul was palpable. It never went the romantic route but I could sense the alignment between two characters that obviously found solace in their similar experience with loss. I wish it was further developed. This one does remind me a bit of My Mister in its attempt for two people to process pain together.
But this is not sad, slice of life piece. This took tragedy and packed a punch with some action, and quite a few, albeit predictable, plot twists.
There are of course quite a few duds, motivatios of Seon-yul fell a bit flat. Wrap up was rushed, general downer, and kind of too each. As if the production got tired.
Not many standouts (good or bad) among actors. The female lead really shone, and Kim Joon, one of antagonists. I did not see Cha Eun Woo laugh once. Gorgeous man no doubt, but I do not think he wants that to be the main takesway. I did think he did not have a range of emotional capacity/expression to deliver each scene, and thought both Park Bogum and Seo In-Guk would have delivered in this type of role perfectly. Albeit his acting continues to be average at best, he was not distracting from the plot for which I still approve of the show as a whole.
(Also, nice to see the lead of the Eight Sense getting his footing into kdrama industry. Little time, but step by step.)
Overall, I do not take this one as a binge. The main characters are complex and I believe the viewer should be a bit more invested to understand their perspective in order to enjoy this one. I would need to rewatch to understand better, but intrigue kind of dissipated.
Not for everyone, for sure. But an interesting one, 100%.
What do you think?
Thanks for reading.

Wonderful
powerful acting by whole cast storyline, everything is so freaking amazing. goosebumps.I'm seated for whole drama. THIS IS THE DRAMA.
A wife who loses a husband is called a widow.A husband who loses a wife is called a widower. A child who loses his parents is called an orphan. There is no word for a parent who loses a child.
That’s how awful the loss is.

A pandora's box
Diving into "Wonderful World" has been an absolute rollercoaster, and I'm here for every twist and turn. The drama, centering around Soohyun and Seonyul and his intricate ties with the other characters, is a masterpiece of emotional depth and complex storytelling. The dynamic between Cha Eunwoo and Kim Namjoo is electric, their shared screen time hinting at a relationship far more complicated than mere revenge. The possibility of a common enemy rather than a direct confrontation adds a delicious layer of intrigue. What sets "Wonderful World" apart is its ability to balance the human condition with the elements of revenge drama. The show doesn't shy away from exploring the darker facets of human nature, yet it manages to inject moments of light and hope, primarily through its complex characters and their intertwined destinies.
I can't wait for the next episodes!

Must watch!
Wonderful World is a must watch! From the first episode, with its opening scene showing Cha Eunwoo having a stare down with Kim Namjoo and drives his car seemingly towards her, the whole scene was just so impactful, with both their eye-acting and facial expressions carrying the scene to perfection; that it already gripped me and sparked my attachment to this drama. It got a hold on me from the get-go, resulting in wanting to stay and uncover the story and unravel its mystery. The excellence in acting and the fast pace of the story kept me engaged, with much curiosity on how the gripping drama will progress. Veteran actress Kim Namjoo is Queen as expected, with her excellent, amazing drama chops, making the audience feel for her tragedy with shared tears and broken hearts. The 2nd episode came around, and Cha Eunwoo's appearance was again so impactful, with him showing a different side of him as an actor, with his masculine, rough, tough, strong and powerful presence, and even without much lines to deliver, his eye-acting, face/body acting, his aura, can't help but capture his audience's attention. I for one was captivated by Cha Eunwoo, and will surely see this drama through; in fact I can't wait for the next episodes where for sure, the main leads, KNJ and CEW will further grip my interest and my kdrama heart. In a nutshell, Wonderful World is surely wonderful!Considerați utilă această recenzie?

Mediocrity and I'm really being truthful
Generally, it was badly executed. The story was so drawn out I lost interest in after the 4th episode but just pushed myself till the end for everything to be revealed cos I wanted to see justice being served and bad people punished and thank god that happened. I'm just sorry I wasted a whole Saturday on this. I was skipping things like crazy from how unentertaining and repetitive it all was. There are so many repeats of past events it's incredibly annoying and unnecessary - like all the time I can't stress this enough. So many lousy "dramatic" moments that just drag on and on and on, dramatic music, slowed down camera work oh my god I just wanted it all to end.Everything from the start is just full of plot holes and disregarding facts and the truth, trying to put emphasis on everything being the mother's fault (FL) 'cos she didn't close the front door and not on the man who ran over her child and admitted he left him on a playground to die and the judiciary system acting like all of that isn't important just made me really annoyed by the plot from the first episode. Just everyone acting as if that isn't important and no one saying anything about it made everything ridiculous to me. Seounyul (Eunwoo's character) wanting to harm the FL even though his father killed a child, didn't get him to a hospital and showed absolutely no sincere remorse is what made me mad watching the drama the whole time. I understand he wanted revenge, but he could literally see his father in court not even acting sad by what he did. As a child, if my father accidently harmed someone (moreover a child), I'd be disappointed if I didn't see him being devastated by what he did. These things sadly happen when people really unintentionally hurt someone, but there's a difference when they're absolutely heartbroken by what they did (even though it had been an accident) vs. when they act the way Seounyul's father acted.
I wish they developed the FL's character a bit better. At times, some things just felt so lacking, but I can let that go since she's a really good actress and is really just portraying a mother that lost her child.
Other than the plot, actors were all good. Some of the minor leads could've been better - Cha Eunwoo's childhood friend, her acting was lousy all the time. Suho's brother was meh okay I guess and at times Yuri (FL's adopted sister/manager) wasn't spectacular.
Cha Eunwoo did good. I think his acting is always like okay, not anything special, but he's good and I think he improved in the last two years especially. I just hate when directors put emphasis on his looks. Like all the scenes of him working as a mechanic and all that are just pointless and add nothing to the plot but to attract female viewers and his fans who just won't admit that those scenes really have no meaning. Like you're honestly telling me we need scenes where's his pushing tires, checking the oil and being very clumsy at it mind you, trying to repair some car as if he knows what's he's doing. It all just looked done so poorly and forced to show him being this 'hot attractive handy man'. I've seen many directors do that in dramas he stars in and even though it's maybe less here, I wish it didn't happen at all and that they just focus on the story, the characters' development and the actors. I'm not his fan, but I know he's expressed many times that he's burdened by his looks and would like people didn't always point it out - I've seen him and his group members on different variety shows and the hosts always focus on his looks which obviously makes not just his members uncomfortable, but makes him uncomfortable the most. It's a blessing, but a burden at the same time since the Korean society is so fixated on looks especially.

good casting , good acting , boring plot, weak writing
i just made the the account to write a review , i watched 9to 10 episode and got nothing , actors acting was on point , eunwoo looked so cool and acting was on point , but the plot was so "2014". from 1rst episode the child going outside after his father mistress open the door trying to leave , ( i dont know if this plot is true or not beacuse i am not going to finish drama) , the villain dont even have any connection with any of the male character , writer just try to put connection b/w them and its not good ,, eunwoo role itself doesn't make sense ,,,,, this drama is mashup of thriller, crime, mystery ,affair, revenge which does not connect dot with each other ,, its feel like production team just wanted to make a profit out of popular cast . and didn't want to spend money or resource thats why they have poor writing , its like they stole the plot of every popular plot and placed it together not a single plot was original ,even the location that they film is so cheap . and they new they are going to earn much more. those who think its a hate review , sorry to say yes it is a hate review but not towards the actors but towards the production, writer , director....Considerați utilă această recenzie?
Looks like CEW image has been used to hype the show
Honestly i like the drama and watched 4 eps of it and the cast acting is good kim Nam joo did a splendid performance and CEW acting also got better than his previous dramas. But some where it feels like they used CEW idol image to hype the show and in a good way. The story is good as well it is going smoothly and it could be a little bit better. I personally liked the 1st episode and continued the drama , its worth watching considering the cast and their acting. Waiting for next episodes and very excited to know what big twists and turns this drama could further bring in the plot.Considerați utilă această recenzie?
