An assassin murders the old man who witnessed the death of Yan Xi’s mother, then goes after Shao Yao. Shao Yao inadvertently escapes from her courtyard to wander the streets, meeting Hua Zhi. Realizing no one is coming for her, Hua Zhi takes Shao Yao home, where she experiences family life.
