Most hated characters.
I honestly loved the show but once Boo Sang-do and Cho Sang-tae came on screen, I wanted to rip my hair out.Boo Sang-do: My issue with him is that he had a crush since he was little on Cho Sam-dal but why are you going out of your way to make her like you when you know that she doesn't and why are you getting mad that the whole village is rooting for Cho Sam-dal and Jo Yong-pil. Ugh, I am still frustrated with his character and how desperate he seems.
Cho Sang-tae: He honestly kept projecting his pain and suffering on to everyone around him, especially his son who considered his mother's best friend as his own mother. Like how would your wife feel if she were alive and witnessed you were treating her best friend so horribly.

Nice warm drama just wanted more
Countryside dramas are hit or miss with me, the only one I've seemed to enjoy thoroughly is Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha. I did go into this drama with the expectation it would be like HCCC, which was my mistake because this drama is its own story just like HCCC. I enjoyed the mother, the younger sister, and her daughter a lot in the drama. I think the storyline is consistent however I wish the FL wouldn't give up so easily and run away when defeated. This is something that her character grew out of by the end thanks to the ML. The reason I'm only rating this drama a 7.5 is because the romance was very quiet. Yes, the leads loved each other. Yes, the male lead was consistent and sweet but the romance was lackluster I wanted more heart-fluttering moments. I wish we could've got more of a story for the younger sister and her daughter I loved them. Overall this is an ok drama with little to no rewatch value for me due to the romance not catching my attention that much.Considerați utilă această recenzie?

Anfangs meh, Der Rest supi :)
Die ersten 4 Folgen oder so, haben mich manchmal echt wütend gemacht und haben mir auch einfach nicht gefallen.Es wurde einfach so vieles getan, was ich nicht tun würde, Sam-Dal hat sich so komisch verhalten und es hat mir einfach weh getan.
Aber, ab dem Punkt, an dem sie sich mit ihren alten Freunden wieder verstanden hat, hat es mir gefallen.
Die neben Geschichten von ihren Schwestern fand ich auch sehr interessant. Vor allem von Hae-Dal. Die Story mit dem Delphin Mann und ihrer Tochter fand ich super und hätte gerne mehr davon gesehen.
Auch das Ende, warum Hat Yongpil nicht einfach die Bilder geholt, warum musste Samdal auch dabei sein?
Und Yongpils Vater, hat mich einfach ein wenig wütend gemacht, wie ein Mensch so sein kann. Aber süß, wie er seine Meinung geändert hat und jetzt auch mit den Eltern von Samdal wieder zusammen ist.

"Welcome to Samdal-ri" is too overrated drama
The story is very lame. I was quite fed up with Samdal always saying she's embarrassed and her being prideful and egotistic. Also, I can't understand the love situationship that is happening between FL/ML, it's just too all over the place and full of flashbacks. The bond of 5 childhood friends seems forced too, and they don't have that "vibe" as Reply 1988 Sangmundong kids the author wanted to imitate. SHS is one of my top fave Korean actress and I like all of her previous works, but this drama is just LAME. Sorry for the term but the story is very very LAME.Considerați utilă această recenzie?
Go for it
If you are skeptical or doubting yourself on whether or not to watch this series, just go for it. It has a very beautiful village atmosphere and the vibe gives out a perfect village feels with all the people and gossiping. The actors have done a great job. The characters that are supposed to be irritating are truly irritating. The friends gang is great. Even though there are a lot of things that they need to bring solution to, or conclusion to, I am confident that they will do a good job.Male Lead: great job as usual. Those who have watched his other works like Healer, K2,Suspicious partner know what I'm talking about
Female Lead: Since I haven't watched her other works, I can not compare it. But, she did complete justice to the character
Ajumma(female lead's mother): My favorite supporting actor who has acted in a lot of kdrama. she is just apt for this role
ML's father: he is the villain I would say, but he has his reasons.

this show has been quite confusing,without spoilers:
-i did not enjoy how the director decided to reveal the past in between the present.
-nor did i find it convincing to see a photographer leave her 20years career as if it never happened. making the whole quest of the main character empty
- i was unable to enjoy the rest even with nice visuals... the story was not cohesive for me.
-and character development was lacking as the past 'reveals' make us falsely believe the characters changed, when in fact, its only our perception of them.
don't get me wrong, i usually love slice of life and healing stories....
i tried to keep watching because i didn't know what bothered me or bored me: it was the lack of substance/emotion & glue to the main characters.
i am still neutral on the acting as i normally love these actors!

Refreshing lovable new drama
I was getting a little tired of the typical story lines in kdrama and I was kind of stuck with other dramas nothing excited me until this came out. Love it from begging to end. It felt refreshing to watch.The focus on the FL trip and the ML alongside the hardships they had to go through and the time they missed together yet no was ever enough to destroy their love felt so warm-hearted for me.
If I would ask something from those drama is a more extended happy ending cause I really love those, I'll just have to imagine it all by myself.
if you got the chance watch it it's totally worthy. I cry, laugh and love alongside the characters and story, gonna truly miss it.

it really was the very first reason i watched this drama, also i like how this drama feels so realistic.
i love it a lot.

the main leads drew my attention to this amazing drama and as they are collaborating for the first time, their screen chemistry is great.I really enjoyed the fee episodes have watched so far from 1to 8 and I can tell you it's a go.
from the successful life of a photographer to the lady who grew firm SamDal to start all over there in Jeju.
a whole lot have happened and trust me, if you don't start now... you're missing out.
a must recommended...
one thing I like the drama for, is the perfect display of real life family...and its daily dose of drama.

I’ve watched a lot of shows in my lifetime and this one moved me so much that I’m taking the time to write this review.This is a really great Story, and I believe that you will enjoy the show. I can share with you that I felt happiness, sadness and am feeling blessed to have watched this show. It moved me that much. The characters were relatable and felt as though I knew them. I began to feel as though I was part of the story being told. I binged watched the entire 16 episodes and couldn’t wait until the next one was released. It was that good for me.

Ho iniziato questo drama con l'errata convinzione che fosse il classico drama con una protagonista che scappa dalla città per rifugiarsi nel suo villaggio di origine o cmq in un piccolo villaggio fuori da tutto. Per certi versi è così ma quelli a cui sono abituata io danno voce e spessore agli abitanti del villaggio di turno mentre qui non hanno prevalenza, anzi sono molto da contorno. Non ho avvertito quel senso di famiglia tipico dei drama di questo genere. A parte ciò, perchè posso essere io stupida ad aver capito fischi per fiaschi, la storia non era partita male. Infatti i primi 4 episodi mi sono piaciuti assai, ma da lì a poco me ne sono un po' pentita: quello che dovrebbe essere il trauma che porta FL a trasferirsi si "risolve" in poco tempo e nemmeno troppo bene. La chiusura l'ho trovata fin troppo affrettata, così che gli antagonisti rimangono come un palo, poco più che comparse. Le sorelle di FL, anche loro con delle storie interessanti, rimangono per la maggiore da parte e non vengono più di tanto coinvolte. Il "terzo" non ho capito perchè c'è, a che serve. Un codardo di prima categoria che a sto punto poteva rimanere zitto e muto poichè non ha un impatto su nulla e nessuno. Insomma, tutto sto robo è incentrato sulla minestra riscaldata tra FL e ML, qui interpretato da un signor attore che purtroppo però ne sembra imprigionato, quasi castigato. Personaggio molle e senza spina dorsale come tutto il drama. Lei poi non mi ha mai conquistata quindi... Beh, non ho motivi per continuarne la visione.Considerați utilă această recenzie?
