Cutie Pie: Special Episode (2023)

I'm not gonna lie that was a complete waste of my time lol

I don't want to be rude cause the show wasn't bad or anything but I'm not gonna lie that was a complete waste of my time lol. The story wasn't anything new or special and the music is mostly if not the exact same from the series.

Everything was cute and romantic of course, it's a wedding based on a love story but missing this will literally not change your life, its for fans of cutie pie only and I'm clearly not one.

The first two episodes were unnecessary and irrelevant then the third was only good cause of the assistants which are a very funny and cute couple and Syn and Nuer who I love if I wasn't a fan it would also be unnecessary. Of course it had its good scenes but those plus the last episode could be put together to be a 1hr and 30mins movie, the drama and build up was really not needed!!

I would definetly rewatch episode 3 for Syn and his partner cause I love them and it makes me so curious about them, I wish I could find out more about their backgrounds !They have so much potential!

I wasn't really expecting a Season 2 of Cutiepie series, but we got it. This series seriously could've been summarised into one special episode but they decided to drag it out into four episodes🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️
I love how they gave Syn and Nuer more screen time on their love story...even though it wasn't still enough🤦🏾‍♀️
I applaud Nunew and Zee for their acting skills(to the point that it felt so real😭🤚🏽) Their chemistry really was off the charts😭❤️
Expected more for Nat and Max's love story but it's still okay...
Anyways in all, I actually liked Cutiepie series, and S2 wasn't bad, so yeah. I give it a thumbs up 👍🏽

Cute way to end the story

I finally got around to watching these special episodes and I did quite enjoy them, they had included more about Syn and Nuer's story but I do understand that with them planning to do the show about Yu and Khondiao they focused more on them.
As always Zee and Nunew's chemistry is amazing and they did a great job, I liked that even though it was a short mini-series they managed to include some character development with the way both Kuea and Lian deal with the possibility of marrying and Kuea wanting to follow his dreams.
I enjoyed and it did feel like it added something to the main story which not all special episodes do, looking at you Deep Night special episode.

A gentle landing...

A very nice short and sweet wrap up of the LianKuea storyline. It had a bit of slice of life, communication, a dash of angst and Foei. Every show needs a Foei. It wrapped up what it needed to while leaving the ending, namely the Korea bit, open enough for a later expansion to their storyline if needed and/or wanted. This was clearly meant to be an ending so that we can move on to YiDiao and NuerSyn in their upcoming dramas. I really liked how they continued with the amazing OST, which is something I typically don't focus on and keeping the angst to a reasonable level. The cinematography was wonderful and the acting was superb as always. I liked how the secondary couples were truly secondary this time around and the main focus stayed on the primary pairing. I'm also really glad it was only 4 episodes. I think anything longer would have made it a bit sloppy.

A cozy end and hopeful look into what is coming. The Domundi boys are running full speed ahead and I'm here for it.

Mignon

C'est mignon. Et ? C'est mignon, c'est à peu près tout.
J'aime vraiment savoir ce qui se passe après le baiser de fin, mais tout ça est un peu trop mignonnet. Ils s'aiment, veulent se marier, il y a des problèmes, alors ils se disent qu'ils s'aiment et s'embrassent.
Ce special a exactement les qualités et les défauts de la série principale : des ficelles énormes, voire illogiques, une musique formidable, des acteurs "handsome"/"cute".
J'ai aimé que la question "rêve vs amour" se pose, quelque chose d'un peu plus profond à se mettre sous la dent.
Après, sincèrement, il n'est pas nécessaire de bouder son plaisir, et c'est plaisant de les revoir tous.
PS : une pensée spéciale pour Foei/Poppy

Necessário? Não, mas fofo.

Cutie Pie foi meu primeiro BL e também meu primeiro dorama, o que faz com que eu tenha um grande carinho por ele. Poder acompanhar o casamento de Kuea e Lian me deixou feliz, assim como rever os personagens. Apesar disso, acredito que o arco do casamento dos dois poderia facilmente ter sido colocado na primeira temporada da série, de uma maneira em que as coisas não ficassem tão corridas. O dilema de Kuea de ir ou não para a Coreia foi bem desenvolvido, fiquei aliviada ao ver que ele não escondeu o que sentia de Lian. Essa evolução do relacionamento dos dois foi trabalhada desde a primeira temporada, fiquei feliz ao ver que não ignoraram isso.

Falando sobre os casais secundários, fiquei bem triste pela maneira quase jogada em que Khondiao e Yi foram trabalhados. Desde o primeiro episódio, o que se deu a entender foi que Yi pediria Khondiao em casamento antes do fim da série, mas ela acaba e Yi simplesmente não teve nenhuma atitude. Trabalharam a ideia desde o início para não ter nenhum resultado, isso me deixou um pouco decepcionada. Falando sobre Neur e Syn, gostei muito do desenvolvimento dos dois na série. Eu realmente não era fã deles na primeira temporada, mas consigo simpatizar com os dois aqui. Eles tiveram momentos bem trabalhados e muito fofos, algo que ao meu ver faltou em Cutie Pie.

No geral, Cutie Pie 2 You é um spin-off que poderia estar na primeira temporada, mas que não deixa de ser fofo por isso. Se você é fã do universo de Cutie Pie, com certeza vai gostar.

It definitely gets too much hate. For the reviews I looked at, this got hate for no reason. I think it really showed what the process of weddings actually is and that not everything goes right. I think it was a solid presentation, and there was a lot to take away from it. The syn sex scene was here, so I am biased, but this was good. It wasn't bad, and I will probably watch it again. At the end of the story, every possible thing went wrong, but they still managed; that felt a tad rushed, but it wasn't bad. The acting is good—not the best I have ever seen, but it was good. The music is good; I am singing it right now, so it's good. Like I just said, I will probably rewatch. so I recommend checking this one out. It's a good watch. It suggested I put 8.5, but my average for the 4 episodes was exactly 9. so good one. defintely check it out and play it in the background while you are doing something. okay on to the next one.

After finishing season 1, I was hoping for season 2 and after they released officially that cutie pie will be back with season 2. I was overwhelmingly excited. Because it story and plot is really nice and realistic that many people tends to change themselves for their loved ones but it is story about accepting and understanding each other and being yourself. And I like actors their acting and emotion are really good and the fact that it's nunew first ever acting and the fanbase he has established for himself and their group domundi it's insane. In short it is worth it .

Nonsensical plot but everyone is very pretty

I enjoyed the main series for this show, even as I thought it had some significant flaws. But the plot for this special was so silly I actually laughed out loud a few times (not in a good way). Why they felt the need to make such a big deal about a 21 year old needing to rush into marriage even as they acknowledged it won’t be legal, I really don’t know. And everything tied to the Kirin becoming a Korean idol plot was beyond laughable. The whole thing would’ve made a lot more sense of they’d jumped 5+ years forward and had them getting married after the career stuff was worked out.

That said, the cast is still great and all the pairs have strong chemistry. Everyone is very pretty, the costumes are gorgeous, and the quality of this production remains high. It’s a fun quick binge if you can ignore the plot and just cruise along.
