endearing and unique.
since it was the first season, you could tell much of the budget went towards the dates and the cast as well as the producers were figuring out everything but the whole system of the cards mission I thought was very unique and entertaining. I'm not one to watch a lot of dating shows since it's real people and not actors doing fictional work, I thought 'his man' had real drama, struggle and dialogue. it was well developed by the people behind the scenes. I hope to see more reality shows of these kinds, especially from a country like South Korea.the show was enjoyable. though you could tell they were awkward with each other and thought twice about their actions, it was nice to see their interactions. I hope the cast created a friendship, more than anything and find comfort in meeting more people who understand them and what they have to face everyday in a society who still finds an issue with other's preferences and lives.

Had so much potential.
This became very painful to watch. Partly because of poor Chan-kyu..he was the most genuine out of all of them and they were all blind to it. It was so frustrating to watch. He seemed like such a sweet guy. I hope he meets/has met a much better partner that would appreciate him after this.
I pretty much skipped majority of the last few episodes just because of how frustrated I was for him. I hope the next few seasons are much better.
Overall though it’s nice to see a queer reality show from SK. Was never on my bingo list. Hopefully this opens the door for many more. And starts a positive conversation in their society.

A nice show, definitely recommended!
"His Man" is the type of reality show that kinda grows on you if you don't mind a slow pace and a subdue way to show how people get to know each other in 7 days. You won't experience huge plot twists, drama and betrayals, but instead what you'll get is the fluffy, yet realistic representation of what happens when you get to participate in a short romance show and have few dates. I have to say though, that the rules this reality has to make the guys choose who they are interested in are quite blunt and brutal. It was unexpected lol.
This being a somewhat censored series doesn't mean though that important topics and discussions are not breached at all, in fact this show overall is a big step towards LGBTQ+ representation in Korea and it's interesting how one can understand better the society the participants are living in, their struggles and dreams.
All contestants have a reason to be on tv, their group dynamics were entertaining and nice. The only thing you have to be aware of is that the editing isn't great, so viewers are often confused about some contestant's motives and thoughs. Nothing too bad, but it may annoy someone and I have to put it in here as a warning if you can't stand such thing.
In conclusion, I give this show a tentative 8, because of its importance and because I never felt like I was wasting my time watching it. Please, give it a chance too!

Not your average dating show!!
I can't believe I put this off for so long. I generally hated dating show as it tends to be cruel and even toxic with the vibes of "fighting against each other to get the goal". But, this show is NOTHING like this at all!Sure, there are disappointments and hearfelt moments, but everyone is like family
No unnecessary backstabbing, gossips or drama to outdo each other.
Despite the results, I feel everyone has a chance to explore and express their feelings, allowing for closure for everyone, in a balanced way.
Of course, I'm super happy that my favorite couple walked away as a couple!
I highly recommend this show, it makes my heart flutter, so warm and cute and real at same time!
