I WAS LOOKING FOR ACTION PACKED SCENES BUT...
I will be giving a quick review. We all have different opinions and reactions about the series and I totally understand you.It's been awhile since I watched the s1 and 2 but the s3 is not that giving a strong impact, unlike the s1 where I anticipated for another season. Is it because the story is kinda bland? As well as the actors. Yes, they are handsome, and pretty but their characterstic lack something. There is something unique that I wanted to see, because the s3 has a lot of characters and I don't have time to watch the s2 again to remember those characters.
I am okay with fast paced, but I got bored at ep2 because there are a lot of emotional scenes going on, where's the thrill? the action? Unlike from the s1, it is much more thrilling, that will made you on the edge of your seats. There is nothing like that with s3.
What I found exciting was the part of Lee Eunhyeok and Hyunsu only. The reunited of the trio and nothing else. I mean I still finished this in 2 days but re-watching? nahh
They lack the actions and mysterious scenes, that I anticipated to see.

ambitious build up with a questionable ending
** major major ending spoilers and profanity**
Okay so like wtf just happened. There are a couple things I am still lost about.
1) what the hell happened to Yi Su. Like let’s be so for real, she’s always had amazing healing powers like when she got shot as a kid, so there’s no way she died from a single stab. We even saw her like scream then never see her again.
2) what the hell happened to Yeong-Su. Like, ain’t no way they’re making him live the rest of his life as a monster. He should hate monsters considering he lost his entire family to them, so him wanting to be a monster made no sense.
3) what the hell was that with the sang won dude. Ui myeong whatever his name is. Like, bros power is being able to change bodies everytime he’s close to death, so how come they killed him off by burning him, WHICH HAS NEVER WORKED BEFORE. And and how the hell is that gangster dude still alive. We literally watched him burn to crisp then next second he came back to the screen with a whole body and everything. What the fuck. I am not comprendoing.
4) also what the hell happened to eun yu. Ain’t no way she became a neo human that fast.
The ending kind of made sense cause hyun su can’t go and reverse everybody that’s turning into a monster, so I guess that’ll work. It’s basically just humans evolving to another stage, so shouldn’t they want everyone to become neohuman(?) sure, they don’t have feelings but they can learn, like eun hyeok.
Overall, solid watch. Questionable points in the last episode, but I’m satisfied

Not like other 2 seasons
What can I even say about this legendary drama . It was the last season and I liked it but I think the last story could have been better .Season 1 was the best among the series but season 2 and 3 are not like season 1 . it was good but could have been better the stories were in some place not very fitting the plot of the drama many unnecessary things were shown. It could have been more better and the fighting scenes could have been more included in the last series and the ending of season 3 was kind of disappointing for me it could have been much more it had potential.
Overall the series is good but someplace it will make you think hard - Was that even needed.....

We all need a sweet home to return to
If you didn't like season 2's shift of focus from the survivors we've grown to love to a whole new group of survivors in a new setting, you might be thinking season 3 won't have much to offer you.Yes, the season 2 characters are still around, but the core 5 from season 1 (Cha Hyeon Su, Pyeon Sang Uk, Lee Eun Hyeok, Seo I Kyeong and Lee Eun Yu) are back in the spotlight for this final gory monster filled outing.
So let's start with the good: Lee Do Hyun is back after being absent for practically all of the second season. That appearance at the end of season 2 and the long wait for this season had me anticipating the brother and sister reunion between his character Lee Eun Hyeok and Go Min Si's character Lee Eun Yu.
Did it live up to the hype and delusions I singlehandedly built up by myself? Well, it wasn't bad. I kind of wish we got more interactions out of their characters but I can see why they wanted to wrap things up quickly.
Speaking of interactions: Cha Hyeon Su played by Song Kang has more of a prominent role this season. Despite being THE star of the drama, he was noticeably absent from most of season 2. I mean, sure, he was around, but with the introduction of new characters, he story arc felt like a side quest instead of the main story. I personally couldn't care less about his character if it meant he wouldn't be interacting with the complete cast of survivors (those who didn't die, of course) from season 1.
Anyway, the narrative once again focuses on Cha Hyeon Su's internal conflict and battle with his alter-ego. I couldn't been happier not as a Song Kang fan but as a fan of consistent storytelling. Really, the bar was so low this season. At the very least, I wanted the writers to follow through with plotlines and story threads that they introduced in the first season. I'm easy to please, dammit!
Rambling on with the good comes the acting. It wasn't a stellar story overall, but everyone's acting was great. You really felt the emotions from the characters. Kudos for all of those involved who took an "ok" script and made it slightly above average just with their acting.
That brings me to the bad: The story. While I praise the acting, the story felt rushed and boring at some parts. Around episode 5 is where I felt the pace picked up. I know it's an 8 episode drama, but I feel like the buildup was there for a good sendoff, but the writers kind of fumbled it by speed running to the end and throwing in lots of deaths that lacked emotion.
Also, there were story arcs that I didn't care about along with characters that, while entertaining, added no value to the overall narrative. I've had similar thoughts in season 2, but I was generally still seated because I knew (hoped) this season would be a return to what I loved about the drama in the first place: a great emotionally driven story.
The thing that confused me the most was the lack of attention on the new species called Neohuman's. Season 2's ending had me hype to see what would happen with their inclusion in the overall story. Were these Neohuman's gonna be on the side of good, bad or a neutral party? How were our characters gonna deal with this new possible threat in a world already full of other threaty-threats?
Well, we don't really get an answer to those questions exactly. Instead, the Neohuman's just seemed like a convenient excuse to cut down on the budget, but hey, I don't blame them though! Those CGI trash monster/transformer hybrids from last season were ridiculous and borderline offensive.
I'm closing this review with something positive. The ending was pretty good. Not great, but good. It actually made me emotional. Even with the flaws and narrative missteps that plagued this season, it was still bittersweet to see things come full circle and the three main characters we've followed the journeys of since season one return home.

Rushed, but still highly entertaining
Sep 2024I love the Sweet Home trilogy and whilst S1 is still my favourite, the 3 combined make for gripping viewing.
As much blood and gore as in S1&2, but far fewer monsters, as this final instalment focuses on the main characters that survived S2, together with a slight twist to the story.
Song Kang is brilliant in this, to my mind. He doesn't overplay the part, but exudes a kind of power and always gave me the feeling there was something more to his monster side.
Further characters lost in S2 are swiftly replaced by the fast moving storyline... a little too fast at times.
There are several surprises, but a couple could get lost in clarity and importance, if not getting enough concentration.
Couple of totally bizarre storylines as well... one being the little boy from S1, which definitely had me scratching my head.
The final scenes were a bit weird and in one instance for me, slightly disappointing, but at the same time not without emotion.
I might give it a break and then watch the whole thing (S1-3) from start to finish.
I really hate these stupid season breaks Netflix and other Western production companies, inflict on us. Really spoils the flow and when the gap between is ridiculously long, the story definitely suffers. Cramming the story's conclusion into the final 2 episodes, doesn't help either.
Having said that, I loved the cast, the premise and with how my imagination carried the conclusion forward, what I perceive as the intention behind the ending too.

can humans and monsters co-exist?
After a season 2 that featured new faces and varieties of characters, it seems like we’ll fianlly retract our focus back to our leads, with their emergence back to the overall plotline.it’s what audiences needs in a series like this, a set of characters to root for and be emotionally connected to but sweet home 3 failed to deliver this aspect as the show continues to progresses. With heavy reliance on flashbacks and stories from the previous season’s it felt like the ditector was forcing the enotions out of us instead of it coming naturally.
Aside from the main character’s we knew from the original, there were other characters that were also rootable as well however they either didn’t have enough screentime from such a limited series with many different characters or the character motives becomes loss makes me go “why?????”
A huge issue I have is how everything is all over the place, so much going on in such a small period of time that I can’t even tell which are the one’s that matters. Scenes taking up huge portions of the episode then proceeding to not appear in the future episodes or season is such a frustration I have with sweet home. Finally without a clear battle with anything or anyone the direction of the show was very disappointing in my end. With a mediocere explanation to the future of the universe we’re watching, I wish it would have been better.
Overall it wasn’t one of the best shows out there but it’s an okay watch especially if you’re a fan of the first two seasons or the actors playing, they were able to produce an okay storyline and amazing acting that can keep viewers enteratined, an overall verdict of 7/10!

Beloved show but falters
Someone who is fan of such genre was kinda had expectations but also some doubts during before its 1st season release ,after watching it's 2 episodes I totally into it and loved all the cast and then 2nd season later released and I only subscribed Netflix only for Sweet home 2nd season . I was really invested in how they will conclude it all in the final season . Sweet home latest and final season got all my focus on it but as it was reaching its conclusion it kinda felt like it was weak but not bad ,it obviously very good to binge watch it but the conclusion kinda leave you with unclose lingering feeling of its shouldn't had to end with such a weak closing.Considerați utilă această recenzie?

Ending of the Monstrous era
The pinnacle of the much-awaited monster series is here.Introduction
More monsters are loose here in this installment. With Cha Hyun Su having two personalities, the story unfolds through a new era this time.
As the second season disappointed big time, expectations were huge over the conclusion. Though the first season is still the best of all, the third successfully manages to cover up the losses.
Review
The story follows the correct pace this time. Malevolent Sang Wook is out again to dot over the world. Cha Hyun So in alternate characters is creating a chill down the spine one time and then returning to his real self another time. The blue-eyed and black-eyed versions need to be rooted for.
The conclusion of the series, where our leads return to their sweet home reflects on the essence of the importance of home behind making life sweet and meaningful. The angst of Yi Kyung towards her daughter and how they rebuild the mother-daughter relationship makes the journey more adorable. The conclusion chronicles the power of love through multiple relationship layers.
Conclusion
The journey comes to an end on a happy note. Summing up unresolved conflicts and threading loose ends, gives the ending that we were waiting for. The only complaint is to the editor- more attention should have been paid.

A misguided story with such great potential
First of all, this review will not contain spoilers but assumes you’ve watched at least s1 and s2. Negatives of s3? Well the season is honestly too short. I feel the show needed a minimum of at least 3 more hours or better… another season to give the many new side characters full depth which is still an issue in s3 as it is in s2. It’s a self fulfilling prophecy where the side characters take away from the needed screen time for our main characters we care about IE- Hyun Su, Eun Yu, and Eun Hyeok. And the screen time given to our main cast doesn’t allow for the proper development of our side characters. To be honest, I feel and many others is the main characters we care about deeply who were at the forefront of s1 don’t get enough screen time and besides perhaps some of the soldiers and in my opinion the three recently introduced special infected I really do not give a shit about the side characters and even those that I find interesting still lack significant depth. Also the main villian is kind of amateurish and the final battle leaves more to be desired really. Also while the three main characters and their actors of course kick ass and are enjoyable to watch they simply aren’t there long enough. I honestly feel like Eun Hyeok was just there for fan service although he’s still good :) and while I can’t and won’t spoil anything I feel like the greatest aspect of this season and being Hyun Su and Eun Yu’s relationship and let’s face it romance is handled in my opinion not the greatest and leaves more to be desired especially with the strange choices those two make in regard to each other. The special effects in this season are fine, nothing to ride home about and just like in s2 the monsters lack imagination and intrigue. Simply put they aren’t scary like they were in s1 and feel like a fast food version of what the monsters in this show should be. S1 by far has the best depiction of monsters I’d say. The goods of course. The acting is spectacular and the sets look quite nice. Our three main character while needing more screen time dominate the scenes their in and are enjoyable to watch. I also like I Kyeong in this season although her daughter is meh. This season also takes no prisoners, people die in this season not all character are safe or left standing at the end of this season with I commend ?. While many do not like the ending I actually find it bitter sweet although it does still feel rushed and many more things needed to be explained better with proper character conclusions. In conclusion, I’d say it is worth a watch if you’ve watched the previous two season but is by no means the best ending to an amazing series as it should be. The last two seasons and especially this season simply needed less side characters and/or more runtime which they clearly didn’t have so I honestly think they didn’t do half-bad with what they had although they still could’ve done better. what just happened?
first if all ...aghhhhh ! like what just happened..a lady above explained all of the factors I felt but like damn ? why did they have to kill every single character if the season1. like they were the main characters. especially the mother ? like girl she raised a monster ,fought her evil dad alone and just died ???they killed many of the main like jisu in the second season two.so you are telling me they made three seasons but saved only four people from season one and the rest just died meaningless deaths ? and what even was the ending ? I wanted some wholesome scenes between eunhi and Eunhyuk. eunhi spent the entire season two just strolling looking for her brother and they didn't even give them both a wholesome hug? I am mad. and I was really fond of the soldier who had a crush on eunhi ..I thought it was meant to be something. like a plot or something but nah! it was just an unnecessary detail. they should have shipped him with the girl on drugs. I guess the only thing I actually liked about this season was hyunsoo and eunhi scenes ..not the one with real hyunsoo. the one with the monster hyunsoo. the monster withing him had a better chemistry with Eunhi. and he was in love with her too !Considerați utilă această recenzie?

A ansiedade que eu estava após o final da segunda temporada com o personagem de Lee Dohyun ressurgindo! Ele voltou com tudo!!! (apesar dele ter demorado 4 eps pra aparecer) A história da trama que se seguiu nessa temporada final foi um tanto confusa mas deu pra entender. Esperava um pouco mais da morte do vilão e do desenrolar da personagem mirim. Tivemos lutas INCRIVEIS, diálogos muito bons, muitaaaa morte, mas um final feliz e é isso que importa, só faltou um beijinho do nosso casal, mas sabendo que eles estão felizes juntos é o suficiente!quem gostou bate palma, quem não gostou, paciência!
