MUST WATCH!!!!!
I finally found a really amazing actor, yes Leo Wu... wow... His acting is really amazing. I watched his drama for the first time and fell in love. After this drama I immediately checked all of Leo Wu's dramas, and indeed his acting skills exceed his age. he is still very young, but very capable of building the character he plays. I was really amazed by his acting skills.
The script of this drama is good, I wish the ending was a little longer. And I also hope Leo and Lusi will meet again as a happy couple in another drama. Their chemistry is amazing. even though it's a colossal drama but it's very funny, I also really like the emperor's character in this drama. very different from the emperor's character in other dramas.
This drama is so good, I don't know how many times I've replayed it. you should watch it.

Best Historical Drama for me!❣
It was so beautiful! I can't say anything because I can only admire each episode of this drama ˗ˏˋ ♡ ˎˊ˗In this part, the story is heavier than before. Family, romance, the country are all in trouble but that's where the fun is! Ling Buyi, who fell in love with Cheng Shaoshang and tried to convince her that his love was true, become the one who destroyed Cheng Shaoshang's trust.
I can see and understand from both sides, Ling Buyi with his revenge and Cheng Shaoshang with her trauma in the past that don't want to leave behind by her loved ones. Cheng Shaoshang has tried her best to trust and be open with her future husband, but Ling Buyi has hidden many secrets behind Shaoshang.
The frustrating misunderstandings but also the intimacy that this couple creates really makes the audience get carried away. The ending was very beautiful (even though marriage was discussed from the start but there was no wedding at the end lol) it still made the audience happy. Congratulations to Director Fei, Zhao Lusi, Wulei, and the entire love like the galaxy team for creating truly masterpiece drama!─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──

Mind-Destroyingly Good!
Love Like The Galaxy was a most unexpected treat for me because the first time I gave it a go I dropped it after two episodes but when I came back to it and watched it fully, I loved it so much I watched it twice in a row! LLTG is a slow-paced drama that focuses heavily on the characters, their flaws, their strengths and what makes them who they are. There are many characters who are all so expertly written they feel so real. Admittedly, it takes a few episodes to get into but once you're engaged it is so hooking. The acting was just phenomenal, everyone was excellent. There are scenes where the characters interact without any words but you can just feel all their emotions through the screen. Unlike other c dramas LLTG focuses more on the score music-wise rather than proper songs, I thought this was really fitting and added to the immersion, making the world and the characters feel that much more real. Listening back to the ost brings back so many memories of all my favourite parts.
You would think 58 would be plenty but my only regret is that I think it should have been longer!

Before the last few episodes this was shaping up to be a 10…
I am relatively new to dramas and haven’t seen that many. I fully admit I am most interested in the romance followed by the plot. And for about 50 episodes this was shaping up to be a great one.- Tortured hero check
- Spunky FL check
- Funny side characters check
- Drama check
I could get past the fact that our hero somehow single handledly fought off at least a dozen assassins every time he fought and how he vaulted on to his horse like he had a pogo stick for legs, and I could even get past how he could do all that with an arrow sticking out of his chest for most of one episode. This is not a drama for realism. By the same token, it’s pretty unrealistic that the FL who can barely read would be some kind of math genius and make not only the hero, but the emperor, the empress and the consort all chuckle at how “real” she was. This is secondary to the palace intrigue and romance that is being told to us.
What I can’t get past… spoilers…..
I can’t get past the fact that the FL finds out the ML secret and his plot for his revenge days before their wedding. She confronts him about “do you have anything you want to tell me…” at least 3 times. Once, he declines to tell her and two times they get interrupted but he still leaves her in the dark thinking she is preparing for their wedding. I get the revenge was important to him. I get it was necessary. But it was not necessary to go down the way it did. First, the ML was an eye witness to who the bad guy was and the bad guy’s murder of General Huo. He didn’t need proof. That was proof that he has had since he was 7 years old and yet he has said nothing. Second, the emperor loved him like a son and has already let him get away with a bunch of transgressions by this point. And the emperor was deeply saddened by General Huo’s death so the reason for not cluing the emperor in on his plan escapes me. And third, the fact that he won’t tell the FL, does this knowing she will not marry him, and also spent their entire relationship forcing her to tell him every insult she ever received when he can’t even tell her his real name really cheapened the great love story they were building.
Bottom line: I wanted to love it and there is a lot to love. The actors and the drama are good for the most part. It’s entertaining. But it majorly falls off in the end. And then there is a 5 year jump before the last 2 episodes and you just know the FL will forgive him because he almost dies rescuing her. He does apologize but it’s too little too late for me.

I am not entirely qualified to write a review for this show, but I also couldn't help myself.I watched the entire show in 3 days, which is physically impossible unless I skipped a good portion of the plot. And that's precisely what I did. I skipped most of the ML's back story, which isn't the wisest thing to do when watching such a high-rated drama that deserves to be sipped like hot chocolate on a cold winter night.
I personally would have given the entire show a genuine watch if it wasn't for my mental space, but I also blame the plot equally for being a little too elaborate and complicated to follow. It didn't help that the extra annoying characters and the palace drama were unevenly concentrated entirely in the middle of the show.
All that aside, what I look for in a show is for me to be emotionally invested in it, and Love Like The Galaxy has done that even though I skipped through half of it. Even without as much context as I could have had, it made me smile, laugh, and bawl my eyes when it needed to, and that just says how well it's made and how much the cast put into this work to bring the characters to life. There were characters I never thought I so desperately needed to watch, and I love the show for bringing them to life. The romance itself is slow, but so wholesome and respectful. What I love about this show is the fact that it addresses the importance of individuality and dependence.
I do wish to watch an epilogue that can ease the angst the last few episodes of the show put me through, but it nevertheless had a pretty good and unrushed ending.

Great to watch, just abit long
Got attracted to this series because of Zhao Lusi. I have to say, this series (2 seasons but many they just combined it together so it is a whooping total of 50+ episodes) is quite nice to watch. There are alot of quirky and fun moments and also a few drama moments and the "omg I just want to kill that person and get rid of it once and for all" moments. The male and female lead did a very good job in their roles, not to mention all the other casts as well. I really love how the way the male lead carefully and lovingly protects the female lead all the time, even secretly, though I really hate how he still kept so many dark secrets despite the female lead asking him completely point blank if there was anything else he is hiding. Nonetheless, the series turns out great - in my personal opinion... you may think otherwise - and I actually like watching it. The music paired to this series is also quite nice.Considerați utilă această recenzie?
Just excellent and addictive :) with no downtime!
Excellent ROM-HIST with a bunch of famous actors ( particulary Leo Wu and Zhao LuSi in CL).PLOT: Meeting between 1 "rebel" and poorly educated FL and 1 ML, general, adopted son of the emperor (cold, seeking revenge for the death of his father, etc.). Over the course of adventures and wars, they become closer, but the FL gets engaged to an ML4 (to escape her mother, an authoritarian female general). Subsequently, this engagement was abandoned and the emperor wanted her to marry the ML. He gets engaged to the FL, but he abandons her to pursue his revenge.
PROS
+ A great CL with Leo Wu & Zhao LuSi
+ Endearing characters (the imperial couple, the FL's family), well developed, psychologically coherent.
+ Superb cinematography: very beautiful images,
+ lively and careful production, superb fight and war scenes.
+ Even the OSTs are Top!
Ep. 48 “Red Wedding” style. Fortunately the following episodes are a little less bloody.
Satisfying happy ending.
I've watched and rewatched this series with pleasure.

TB happy ending.

This show took me a year to finish and I have no regrets.I've never written a review for a show before but I just had to for this one. It took a year to finish because I wanted to savour this series, so I only watched it when I had time and was in the mood.
There are just not enough words to describe how beautiful this show was and I'm honestly so grateful to have seen and been part of the journey. it's a pity that I wasn't able to take it as a seasonal, haha.
This was the longest show I've watched and I kept wishing for more after. I'm not one for long series but this show had not a single disappointing episode. I kept going back and watching scenes because of how impressed and captivated I was. I don't want to go into too much detail about it because I think that you should go into the show without too much detail and subjective perspectives. And come to your conclusion about.
The show revolved around the art of letting, reconciling, forgiving, force and desires. Each character had their ordeals but the way they had comforted them and came to terms with it was carefully thought and well written. The writer managed to grasp the essence of what it means to be a human being and its complexities in this dynamic world. How vulnerable, sensitive and intuitive a human being can be and the actors brought it to life. It felt as if you were going through the character's ordeals with them. I would find myself crying and laughing with the characters. You even ended up understanding and supporting the characters and the decisions they made.
The emotions, the soundtrack, the cinematography, the set, the costumes...everything was just outstanding.
Huge Kudos to the actors, director, writer and production for this masterpiece they had brought to life that we can still today and going forward. I'm sure that this project holds a special place in their heart because it certainly does in mine.
So if you are looking for a reason to watch or continue this series, just go for it, you won't regret it ;).

Loved and enjoy the first part. Loved and enjoyed the second part. It was so sad that it came to an end. All casts did amazing with their character even the support roles. This part made me fall more and more in love with the king who acted like a father to Ling Bu Yi and queen Shen An who continues to love and care for Shao Shang like her daughter. It was so sad to see her life come an end. It would be amazing to be able to watch this again for the first time. It was more angsty in this part, I dropped a few more tears than I did the first part. Again, Wu Lei and Zhao Lu Si did an amazing job! Considerați utilă această recenzie?

An Unforgettable Story
* THIS REVIEW HAS SPOILERS! *I initially started this drama because I wanted to watch more of ZLS work! I started Hidden Love first, but dropped it because I personally didn't enjoy it. I started this drama and I am so glad I did.
This was an unforgettable story. I enjoyed every minute and watched all 56 episodes without skipping. Each and every actor/actress played their role amazingly. The Emperor was one of my absolute favorite characters. Zicheng was such a stoic, devoted, brutal character - just wow! Niao Niao was funny, clever and strong.
This drama has it all for me.
- Great story
- Amazing talented actors/actresses
- Made me laugh and cry
- Great character development
- Slow burn
- Action!!! (Honestly one of my favorite scenes was when Zicheng killed his Uncle - holy moly)
- ML is totally devoted and won't let any other girl in his way
My only complaint is that we never got the wedding scene we deserved! I think the ending was a bit rushed and honestly a few more episodes would have been nice to tie the story all together. But a happy ending nonetheless.
A must watch! Quite possibly the best drama I have ever watched!

One of the best historical drama. Perfect combination of script, director, and actors.
I watched this drama because of the main actor Leo Wu, whom I saw in another drama and I was very moved by his performance. I wanted to see how she does in other dramas and I was not disappointed! This drama is actually complete in every way:
the cinematography - which was very good - the camera manipulation - the slow, steady movement of the camera and showing the emotions of the main characters was amazing!
Indeed, the director went to great lengths to recreate the atmosphere of the era, taking care of the details, from the costumes, the girls' hairstyles, to the scenography - great!
Casting - very good. Virtually everyone did their job. However, I personally do not like the actress Zhaoo Lu Si, whom so many adore. I watched several series with her and she plays very similarly everywhere, she is too childish for me, although funny and intelligent, but for me she lacks femininity, that something that at the end of the development of each character she plays, what should mature in her is a woman about mature emotions... I don't see it in this actress's game, she's like a spoiled kid... and romantic scenes with her participation are directed with a great distance to the partner... those kisses that should be engaged as the main characters' feelings develop, are the kisses of a 5-year-old child...it spoils these romantic moments. I've never seen this actress have more involved kissing scenes with the main characters ... I don't know if it's the fault of the script, the director or the actress herself, who has some restrictions in the contract about these scenes ...
I liked all the characters of the CSS family, even the annoying grandmother who was obnoxious at first, but in the end it turned out that she is not so bad and cares a lot about all her family members. I must also admit that the character of the emperor, who was very involved in the affairs of LBY and was a very positive character in the whole story, was presented very nicely. Also interesting characters of Empress Xuan and Consort Yue - for the first time I saw in the drama that both wives do not compete with each other, they do not fight, on the contrary, they support each other like sisters, which was great to see. They also did not compete when it came to children, and even the empress was objectively able to admit that her son with his character was not suitable for the future emperor. That's an impressive stance. I liked these two emperor's wives very much.
The opposite were the daughters of the emperor, generally these intrigues of the fair sex were unbearable. These young princesses were always competitive and intrigued - they had nothing better to do. Fortunately, the parents of the emperor and empress and consort did not accept these girls' behavior and rebuked them.
In general, in the Part2, I think that the revenge factor was thrown in again at the end, especially since the main characters were separated for 5 years and it wasn't really shown how they get back together... how CSS finally decides to forgive LBY - here's the scene in the last episode when she thought that he died and she would never see him again and in fact it was the only moment when she realized that she loved him .... and that's it ... you could safely throw away these unnecessary threads of revenge in the end, and focus on the close-up of the main characters of CSS and LBY... At the end of the last episode, they focused on a long scene of the CSS family, and you could not waste this time and show a shot of CSS and LBY's wedding, which scene was missing so much and I was waiting for this finale with wedding for so many episodes, and here the director came up with a pasta-like I'm dying with my family and only verbal information spoken by the emperor that there will be a wedding without his participation .... pointless, that's why I lower the plot to 8.5! I hope they can do an extra twist with that wedding scene!!!
In general, the best character for me was LBY - brilliantly played by Leo Wu - a complex character of an intelligent general whose traumatic childhood experiences made him cold, secretive, distrustful, eager for revenge, but with his heart in the right place, especially in relation to CSS., for whom he changes dramatically by showing love, tenderness, passion, infinite patience and indulgence of her, forgives her every time for her mischief. LBY wanted revenge for killing his family and didn't assume he would fall in love in the meantime and that it would be that young 15 year old CSS girl. However, he fell in love, and from now on he had difficulty balancing love and the pursuit of revenge. In the end, he chooses to take revenge on his "alleged father" or rather uncle and does a terrible carnage - this scene was hard to watch and he sacrifices his love of CSS. He knew that CSS was most afraid of being abandoned by his loved ones and "betrayal", he knew that he would be forgiven, but he chose revenge ... only in exile he realized that it was the wrong choice - he alluded to in the last episode in an interview with CSS. For me, the role was brilliantly played and these hot emotions in the LBY and CSS scenes, including in the first part when she pulled the arrowhead out of LBY's body and their first closeness, when LBY zooms in on his face staring at CSS - great.
CSS as the main character in Part 1 was empathetic and likeable. Shaoshang of Part 2 is immature and frustrating to the point of being dislikeable, but it was supposed to be like that, I suppose. However, I couldn't stand her stubbornness, which stayed until the very end of the series, even though it had been 5 years since the breakup with LBY and she was almost 21 years old, she still had this anger towards LBY and his "betrayal" and digested it constantly without sense not being able to forgive.... the scene when after the death of the empress Xuan they made the empress' favorite juice and talked about the future, when the CSS stated that she was going her own way without him, it was heartbreaking... how can you continue to be so stubborn and anger..she didn't give him a chance, even though he asked her for forgiveness...horrible! He had to almost lose his life again for her to get the hang of it and understand that she couldn't live without him... so here I missed the development of this character... after so many years she should mature and not be guided by anger, stubbornness...
What I really liked about this drama was the very nicely intertwined humorous and comic threads... and especially one scene when LBY, in love, decided to become friends with the CSS family and one day he did exercises for them in the yard - I just cried laughing at the the sight of the CSS siblings and the servants exercising with weights... their faces and eyesight... it was not proper to refuse them, so they gave in to these exercises, which turned out to be very demanding - great scene!
The side characters are well developed, bringing both comic relief.
Rewatching value - 10 ! I already rewatched the first and second season. I recommend it - you have to watch it.
