Worth trying
This drama was nice....It had everything.... Romance, drama, comedy, revenge, a bit of suspense too
First 10 to 12 episodes are quick, newand fresh to watch.... They were pretty good in all terms..but last few episodes were not what people expected... They weren't bad but not that great too....
But overall... This drama is worth trying and chemistry between leads is great
Acting is wonderful, cast is best...

Maravilhoso

It’s not the best drama but okay
The reason I'm watching this is because it seems promising, and especially the cast attracts me to watch itThe early episode was quite good until from the middle to end all the mess just kept appearing here and there
idk what is wrong with the writer lol, but so many things that don`t make any sense to me.
This is typical 막장 drama.
The ending is Beautiful Pain, it`s sad but beautiful.
The acting was superb, like I cried with them, angry with them, and laughed with them.
Park Sunghoon succeeded in making me hate him (as Yoon Eunsong) so much! I kinda skipped his scene so often lol or just fast-forwarding.
Kim Soohyun, his acting is always superb too! I've been watching his drama since Dream High. His acting is always good! He's good at making viewers experience heartbreak
Kim Jiwon is glowing so much, acting and visual-wise. She has always been pretty but the makeup in this drama makes her stand out even more. Her acting is also great, but still, I kinda feel something is lacking in her acting. But doesn't mean she’s bad, it just she needs to polish it more.
Overall the rest of the cast acting just amazing!
Music or OST wise they are all great. But not great enough to make me add them to my playlist. Matter of preference though
But do I will rewatch this? Nope absolutely no. The story is not worth to be rewatched.

Very disappointing in the end
This Drama started so well, and got me invested but became boring in the end.Super cast, loved the cameos, and the story... but seriously, this could have been wrapped up in 12 episodes (or less).
Some arcs, no one really cared and could have done without, the villains were laughable at the end, it's like they had superpowers... and the token car accidents, kidnapping, poisoning... nothing really new there.
The only nice moments were the lead's cute moments together, which we did not get to see much of at the end unfortunately. The story didn't dwell on things too long the first half and I was so hopeful... but then it dragged on, and on, and on.... no twists to keep us on our toes, and not enough "cute" to keep us invested.
All in all, a disappointment

Not Amazing but better than most
Never written a review before so let me give my best shot.Queen of Tears follows Baek Hyun Woo, the pride of Yongduri village and legal director of Queens Group, and Hong Hae In, the “queen” of Queens Group’s department stores. Their lives and love are intertwined with Family Dynamic and corporate politics setting the stage for a compelling drama.
The strongest aspect of Queen of Tears in my opinion is the captivating chemistry between the two leads. Their performances bring the characters to life and keep viewers invested. However, the story suffers from tonal shifts. It starts off as what you believe would be a romcom but gradually transforms into a something of a thriller, creating an inconsistent viewing experience. With a title like Queen of Tears, one would expect more of a serious drama or thriller throughout, yet the series struggles to find a clear direction.
Despite the story’s inconsistency, the strong performances make it worth watching. My rating is 8/10, as the leads shine even if the narrative could have been more cohesive. With all that being said the Main leads kept me invested in continuing to watch.

Clichés after clichés
To summarise this drama, Park Ji-eun just took a semi-interesting characterisation and ran with it. The romance was okay, but the plot points were outrageous.Hae-in is a likeable female lead. Rich, gorgeous, capable, straight talking, with a dash of childhood drama. The sulky and haughty heiress is actually a very popular characterisation that is tried and tested. It's no surprise that viewers love her. With the contrasting male lead Hyun-woo (just money-wise though because a male lead cannot be imperfect), we have the perfect setup for a typical Korean romcom with the gender roles sorta reversed. "Sorta" is important here, because eventually the story went from finding love after marriage to saving the damsel in distress repeatedly.
Like I mentioned, the romance was fine. I don't think there was sizzling chemistry, but there was definitely some temperature. The part where they were falling in love all over again is pretty much the best part of the drama, though the lovey dovey bits had me cringe a little. I do agree with most that the acting is good, though personally I thought it was also accentuated by the horrendous script.
The reason why I'm writing this review is because I am amused at how bad the writing was. I'm not even upset, I'm genuinely confused how the drama lost steam so quickly.
Hae-in's family were a failure of a chaebol family, billions in net worth but they have the combined intelligence of a high-school student. At the beginning it was funny, but towards the end it became ridiculous. It also undermined Hae-in's characterisation a little, because she should have put up a respectable fight if she was as capable as the writer wanted her to be.
I don't understand the second male lead as well. He has an inexplicable obsession with Hae-in which is creepy. I get that he's only supposed to be the catalyst for the relationship, but it needs to be interesting at the very least. Instead, he feels like a writer's cop out to introduce convenient obstacles in the story, and it's incredibly frustrating to watch.
Don't be fooled by my rating; this is a negative review. This belongs to the I-don't-know-why-I-stuck-with-it camp. I think the drama is engaging for the first eight episodes or so, and some might find it sufficiently palatable if they are just looking for a light drama to watch. But do lower your expectations.

starts strong with refreshing role reversals but fizzles out with clichéd tropes
Queen of tears started strong with its plot mainly because of its role reversal on the most common tropes of kdrams the rich CEO and the poor female lead. It was refreshing to see Hong Hae in as the rich heiress and Baek Hyun Woo as Hae In husband who could no longer survive the enormous pressure put on him by his in-laws. While the plot and the plot- twists were surprising and unexpected, the last few episodes could no longer keep up with the excitement and its engaging plot. I personally felt that the writers had given up mid-way and added every trope possible to complete the drama. There were a good amount of comical moments and the side stories of the aunt Beom Ja, Soo Cheol, Da Hye, and Hyun Woo’s family kept the series interesting throughout…..however none of them, nor the plot could save the last few episodes… Overall the series is a good watch and refreshing even. I would rate it 7.5/10

Great acting, storyline doesn’t make sense
Then again, most things in drama land doesn’t make sense ;);)It’s the kind of drama where the bad guy will win win win all the way to the last episode, then he will fall or get justice in just 10mins! Yeah, I hate dramas like this. There’s so much more could be done, build and focus on, but unfortunately the writing did not support the hype it’s receiving.
First 3 episodes I found annoying; 4-12 were riveting, interesting and intense; last 4 episodes were a bummer. This is mostly where a lot of scenes didn’t make sense. Both lead actors did a great job though! And the ending was wrapped up quite nicely. I didn’t really care for the other side couples and other storylines. Found them redundant and boring.
Watch if you must, just don’t get your expectations too high.

They can do a lot better.
The things I am going to say may offend some viewers, so SORRY!!!NEGATIVE
1. the story could be a lot better
2. The guy at first wants her dead. god, this is highly absurd
3. Too much negativity—just tooooo much. The Villane came at the 2nd episode and scammed till the end.And there is too much screentime of the villane duo, which, as a viewer, I dont want to see
4. The happy moments are short lived, and as a viewer, you will be in a fear that something bad will happen. You cannot watch in peace; the ending is also the last ending monolog is unrequired and instead they could show their marriage affter all of this The fans atleast deserve this so ending is not satisfying.
5. The FL character is somewhere not impactful and just driven by others too much and highly self-centered. She somewhere too much occupied her own problems and hardly thought about ML, her business, her ex coming back, her illness, her family, etc. The story always occupies those things, and the boy just suffers. Somewhere she allowed many things that she should not do with the villain even if she is mad, like holding her, going under an umbrella, and drinking with her ex when the meeting is not happening. Anything that happened, she ran towards him to make the ML feel bad. After her oparation, he only believed in him, not anyone, and she was never sorry about this to ML. So she hardly thought logically and always doubted the ML, from fraud to cheating and accusing. She also very little cared about her brother.
6. The side characters are just useless somewhere; they are not able to do anything. The friend and the ML family have done much more here, and his friend literally does everything. Here, many characters are just carried through the show and nothing but weight in the show.
7. The brother and his wife story is very odd and frustrating. She cheated him with her ex and told him that he was not her child's father—that's a big blow—and flown away and got beaten, came back, and got accepted without asking any questions—I mean, is it a joke? Yes, she is regretful, but still, at least make her pay for her dids. Some other day, if she thought she would do those again, who knows? On the other hand, they show that she somewhere loves him, like in childhood, the doll he gave; the first time she saw him after a long time; then I can understand that she has to do those things somewhere out of willingness at first and in a situation in later stages. But if you truly love him, you cannot cheat him. I mean, cheating is somewhere odd and absurd; again, somewhere the story lags. Who is his ex, and why was he chasing what happened at then? nothing said.
8. They are big businessmen but fail to pick such easy scams, and in spite of telling them they didn't even bother to listen to him making her the legal guardian. those are some rookie mistakes
9. One thing is this show is a show of unsatisfying endings: brother and his wife, the ML and the FL, villanes, and many more.
10. The show is very unstable in nature The FL and ML relationship is highly unstable in nature; at moments they are good, and the next day they are in a misunderstanding situation falling apart that is not pleasing to see.
11. The show seems to be in a time span of around six to ten months, and there isn't any good character development there. The brother-sister relationship is not like that in any way.
POSITIVE
1. The biggest positive thing is the acting In spite of the plot hole and the story lines, the acting is what makes this show some where special I like everybody acting the ML and the FL and many more.
2. The screen chemistry of them is great; they just suited with each other; there caring moments at the middel are good. and somewhere holds the show.
3. The caring and good nature of the villagers are very good to see.
4. The detectives and friends are good, and they are only countable characters.
5. In the end, the regret scene of the FL—I mean, it is not good to see, but boy suffers a lot, so this much is tolerable and this shows how much she cares for him now.
6. One thing I must say that the ahow has done is they constantly did interaction between the ML and the FL, which is as a viewer, you definitely wanna see the interaction may be bad or good but wanna see their interaction as a viewer, they are not separated for too long like may other those kinds of shows generally show, which I really love about this show.
Now you may ask, if there are so many negatives and small positives there, then why is the show so popular?
because this show somehow hit the typicalness that many want to see, let me line them up
- A love story.
- A rich girl CEO and the poor (relatively) boy from the village.
- The boy works in her company.
- The boy lives with in-laws.
- The In laws always torment and demean him, but he is good and bearing everything for her.
- The ex of the FL came back and caused a problem.
- The ML is telling her not to entertain her ex, but she is constantly ignoring him and doing her things.
- After all the humiliation, he is there because he loves her.
- Broken a car glass for her love.
- The FL is constantly hurting the ML, but he is enduring everything silently.
- He got into an accident, twice got bitten (one time he almost died), one time got shot and for her and many more and still has not left her.
- The girl forgets everything and thinks of him as a stranger, but still he was around her.
So moreover, the ML bears all things mentally and physically and bears all of her tantrums and still loves her. That's somewhere the large majority of viewers want to see; that's why it is so famous. But they could change the name to "king of tears." No wait, "queen of tears" is an ideal name because the only thing she has done in this drama is cry.

Old K-Drama Vibes
At the start, I was very intrigued. I thought it beginning with a married couple with one wanting to divorce was unique from most K-Dramas that are about a couple falling in love-- but this being a married couple falling back in love was different for me. Both characters were also both flawed, and I didn't really like them at the start, but, by the end, you really care about them and their families. I was shook like halfway through the series, they had already kind of addressed or answered some of the most burning questions, so I had no idea how the show as gonna go. Yet, they surprised me, they kept adding new drama and chaos each episode. The villains were wild, and the plot twists were so old-school. It felt like an old K-Drama for real. I was mixed on the ending, but it was technically happy. I just wanted more happy moments, and answers for some side characters' stories.Amazing acting, OSTs, and cinematography. Funny moments despite lots of tears shed, and iconic cameos for K-Drama fans! I'm just mixed about the story and ending.

“don’t make me want to live”
first i would like to thank whoever casted kim jiwon and kim soo hyun for their roles. no one could have ate these roles like them. the church scene, the truck scene etc. they were so good. the story started so strong, i was really invested in baekhong’s story but it went down in last 2-3 episode. ep 11 was their peak, but the rest wasn’t that good. they mixed everything up like why hyunwoo got hit by a car and WHY DID HE GET SHOT IN THE NEXT EP?? i was rooting for haein then she recovered but hyunwoo was in the hospital?? i actually wanted to watch baekhong’s marriage story while waitin haein to recover like how they were like in their early stages of marriage, how they got sick of each other, how they lost the baby 1031… i wanted to see those but we only got some scenes. also, grandfather’s third child, he was irrelevant to story? his only role was the unwanted child like why did we even see him if he wasnt going to do anything. anyway, it was good overall i liked the ending but they didn’t have to kill off haein like what do you want from her? instead we could have got he baby scenes. however it was still good i would recommend it, because everyone needs to see my divorced parents,Considerați utilă această recenzie?
