Lighthearted and cute

This was a really cute and fluffy drama and my first foray into japanese foray. I think it did a really good job portraying the innocent love in highschool and the confusion and even struggles that comes when acknowledging one's sexual preferences. But if you are looking for a deep plot, this won't be it. Shunsuke did really well in acting as an unconfident person who is struggling with his sexual preferences and I also love his chemistry with Meguro Ren. The acting wasn't particularly very difficult to do, that's why I ranked it slightly lower. But Meguro really does know how to charm his audiences. I think it's really a good rewatch if you are feeling down as the innocent love between the MLs will make you giggle and squeal in excitement. The OST was quite good, much better than some of the other JDramas.

There will be Thai adaptation of this drama, with one of the cutest couple of Thai BL. So since I want to comapre both of them, I decided to watch this first. And yes after watching this, I can imagine Fourth & Gemini as the chosen one. Haha...

But first thing first. Let's talk about this drama...

A story about the introvert Ida Kousuke & outgoing Aoki Sota. One day Aoki borrow eraser from his friend, Hashimoto Mio, that turn out on the eraser there's Ida's name & Ida saw it & the whole misunderstanding began...

At first Aoki like Mio and he heart broken cause Mio like Ida. Ida, who turn out to be a VERY SERIOUS person, think about Aoki's confession very seriously & also about his own feeling for Aoki. And upon time, cause this still romance drama, of course Aoki feeling toward Ida slowly change. And finally they become a couple.

And Aoki & Ida journey as a couple not really easy-going & happy-go-lucky all the time. It fill with a few prejudice & silly misunderstanding.

Ok that's about the story. Now what I like and don't like...

What I like:
+ The cute Aoki & 'stupid' Ida. Owh they the magic couple that we never imagine could click, but somehow work.
+ The cute and adorable 2nd couple. Just like jpny01, I also more like Aida Hayato and Hashimoto Mio story. Their story progression is really cute & adorable.
+ The very supportive friends, like Aida & Mio, also Mio club friends & Ida volleyball club friends that never judge Ida & Aoki.
+ They bring out a little bit about teacher prejudice. Like when the teacher just assume the worst when he see Aoki outside the hotel with a man.

What i don't like:
- Yeah like jpny01, I also start getting bored by the repetitive problem of Ida & Aoki. Really wonder how the Thai version gonna steer the plot....
- The coward Aoki. Until the end not so much change in Aoki's character. He still that coward boy. Although he said he didn't want anyone to know about his & Ida's relationship cause he afraid it effect Ida's team mate attitude toward Ida. But in my eyes it just Aoki cowardness, that make him afraid to face and acknowledge Ida as his boyfriend to the world.

Overall this one cute fluffy youth drama....

Storyline.

I absolutely love japanese BLs. I haven't watched one yet that was bad. Japanese actors are extremely professional in their acting. They are really good at portraying every emotion verbally.. through facial expressions and body language. I fell in love with these two main actors.. Aoki with his mop of hair and big eyes
and Ida the more reserved quiet student. Aoki was the more excitable and paranoid about his feelings for Ida
as he started off trying to get together with Hashimoto a girl but developed feelings for Ida who is a male student and it all started with an eraser. I will watch it again. The storyline was great so a big thanks to the scripwriters.. Directors.. Production staff everyone behind the scenes and all the excellent actors who took part in this little gem of a series..

A really sweet series

This series is so cute. It starts off from a misunderstanding over a silly legend about love. I love the chemistry between the 4 main characters and their ever growing friendship. Aoki originally has a secret crush on Hashimoto which ends very comedically due to the name written on her eraser. Which sets off their friendship full throttle in which they both not only support each other as friends but support each other in their endeavors for love. Eventually, leading Hashimoto to have one of the best friendships supporting moments where she slaps Aoki’s best friend Aida for not only belittling his friend’s feelings but also temporarily messing up his friend’s potential relationship. Realizing his mistake after the monumental slap Aida apologizes and gives Aoki a shove to follow his heart and show no matter what he is still his friend and will be there no matter who Aoki likes. Although, Ida is a bit dense to understanding what it means to have a crush and like someone and fall in love his friends on the volleyball team help guide him to better understand his feelings and give him a push to admit his feelings to not just himself but Aoki. The series ends with a happy ending and really makes you want another season.

a heartwarming series!

First off: THIS WAS SO CUTE!!!
The cast, the story, the acting was all just so marvelous!
I thought I didn't like overacting, but michida was just the perfect blend of goofiness and cuteness. And what about Ren? He was also the perfect fit for his character!!!
The chemistry between all of the characters was so great and natural, it really felt like a bunch of best friends! I also think that this is such a good BL for beginners and veterans alike because it is just SO well made!!!
This is one of those BLs that keeps you coming back for more!
The story and the main point of conflict is also very original and refreshing and although it's another highschool romance it didn't feel cringe to me which I often find that highschool romances have because the writing doesn't feel authentic. Kieta hatsukoi's writing feels VERY authentic!!!
This series is also so rewatchable because of the comedy and charming characters.
I only wish we'd gotten more screentime with Ida's dog mamatero <3
Anyways, GO WATCH THIS!!!!!!!!

Can calm your heart if u are anxious

1)Actors are pretty handsome and cute; acting on spot by both and even the other crew
2) bond between friends shown is superb,
Their friend circle is so funny and cute.
3)care for the people do not change u once liked even if u don't like them in that sense now, it's just a healthy relationship that got formed
4) a wonderful matching quality between the leads that they are themselves unaware of - kindness
5) story is intriguing: both unknowingly depicting the picturesque of the wonderful quote"love is to give rather than to receive"
6) shows how it is really difficult to recognise what is it that feeling they have towards the other

Overall it such a relatable story with wholesome and mature concepts covered with a fluffy and cute acting.

And music font ask once u listen ,u will be addicted.
And sure u are gonna be addicted to the leads as well.
Coz I'm now busy searching their videos on utube and it is gonna continue for days:-))

Me encanto, pinche serie toda perfecta, carta de amor a la industria cinematográfica, hecho por los mismísimos dioses, la ame con la pasión de mil soles, Aoki e Ida mis papis neta esta serie es mi top 1 en series wholesome y alch en general no se queda atrás, me encanto todo, siento que si les falto un poco de comunicación pero también entiendo que estaban como en este proceso de darse cuenta se sus sentimientos, tmb me gusto que se presentara el hecho de que se juzgara a Aoki que no me malentiendan, Fuck you a ese profe pero se ve reflejado por asi decirlo que no todo va a ser perfecto pq todavía hay gente con prejuicio, el como van avanzando en la relación en de lo mejor y alch ame al equipo de volley de Ida siento que ellos fueron mas amigos que Akkun pero eso ya es otro tema, Hashimoto es el personaje icónico aquí junto con Aoki sus ocurrencias le dan un toque de risa a la serie, la volvería a ver siempre, nunca me cansaría la vd, lo único es que me falto un beso aaaaa:) Edit Te amo Ren Meguro por ti le hecho ganas a la vida.

HEALTHY AF

I watched this masterpiece in one day. It was really cute and full of fluff and I can confidently say that it is one of my favourite jbls.

Although there was use of the miscommunication trope I really love how they cleared up things between them after the issue had been brought up. I love love love communication and that is what makes their relationship so healthy. This is a perfect example of a good use of the miscommunication trope.

Moreover, there was no kissing scene which didn't have any negative impact on the show. I love how the writers made this bl in such a way that the feelings of the characters get through to the audience without bombing them with kissing scenes. That a thing I really enjoy in Japanese mad Korean bls, that every little touch has a meaning and that there is less focus on physical touch and more thought given to the connection between the characters.

Furthermore, the friendship between Aoki and Hashimoto was superior. The two of them really brought out the best in each other and helped one another get through some tough times. The side couple was really cute too.

To finish this, I really enjoyed the feeling and the vibe of the whole series. You feel like you're watching an anime. Especially with Aoki. He moves in such ways and his reactions where priceless and he ended up really resembling those chibi faces that they have in 'extreme' situations.

Overall, it was really amazing and I totally recommen watching it.

Waiting for a second season too! (it was too short???)

Old school but cute

Maybe I'm spoiled by a lot of BL lately, but I noticed this played out like an older manga (I know it's based on one). It felt a little dated, I mean. That being said, it was cute. Aoki's actor is amazing at looking and acting like he stepped right out of an anime - wild facial expressions, jolting movements, overreactions, and it's all very amusing. Ida's character was pretty bland in comparison, but the times where he smiled were very sweet.

I enjoyed the world of the show and the characters, but it did leave me a little unfulfilled. It's a little too vanilla.

Fofo e Aconchegante

A história é simplesmente encantadora, e a relação entre o casal é extremamente fofa e reconfortante. Tudo nela é reconfortante e acolhedor.

Uma das coisas que mais me cativou foi a maneira como abordou a temática. Se você é fã do mangá, com certeza se sentirá como se estivesse vendo as páginas ganharem vida. A fidelidade à obra original é notável.

O casal principal, Ida e Aoki, é apaixonante. A construção do relacionamento deles é satisfatória, sem prolongamentos desnecessários. Apesar dos desafios de comunicação devido às personalidades contrastantes, isso se encaixa bem na narrativa, e os sentimentos dos personagens são representados de forma pura e genuína, o que faz com que a falta de beijos passe despercebida. É um retrato de um casal saudável, descobrindo o amor juntos e respeitando os limites um do outro.

Além do casal principal, todos os personagens do núcleo principal são adoráveis. As relações de amizade e companheirismo são cativantes, e essa história vai deixar uma marca eterna no coração de quem a assiste.

Embora tenha seus clichês na medida certa, o único ponto negativo é que o drama é curto demais, o que limita o tempo para desenvolver cenas e arcos que poderiam ser estendidos.

No geral, é uma história de amor adorável que foca muito na ingenuidade dos protagonistas, cada um à sua maneira. É perfeita para quem procura um romance escolar sensível e cheio de humor.

CUTENESS OVERLOAD ?✨

There's something special about kieta hatsukoi. Hands down probably best series of 2021. I know Japanese bls are gems but this series had my heart on beating. whenever I watch this series, I feel butterflies in my stomach, I know it's a fictional story but still, Feels so fresh n chill. Omg mametaro is adorable. We all need Ida's friends irl. Ida×Aoki forever. Aida n Haashimato were cuties. ❤✨?‍♂️ overall 10/10....i really like the ost (secret touch)... Ida is damn hot, i envy aoki?. Haashi was definitely an ally she was one who was rooting for aoki from the start.

you can rewatch it but not get bored

one of my FAV japanese bls EVER.

ilove the storyline so so much its so cute and its such a new concept (at least ive never seen a drama like this) and honestly it isnt toxic, its funny and its literally so enjoyable the entire way through

you dont understand how many times ive rewatched this and i still dont get bored of it its only so good

the acting as well its actually so entertaining and the cast is so cute

its also not too short but not too long like it fits everything that it needs to in all the episodes without rushing things or dragging anything out
