Second Husband (2021)

I’m pretty sure that they got the whole script of Second Husband from the 2016 Korean drama The Promise.
I will go as far as to say it’s a remake.
They’ve changed just a few crucial details but it follows the exact same plot.
- Both FL fell in love young and in that long relationship had a child
- Both FL were cheated on and left by the SML for a rich heiress
-Both lost someone they loved during the breakup that launched them into the revenge act
-Both FL are lost daughters & both born from a rich parent who doesn’t know of their relationship
-Both MLs are family members of the FL’s enemies
-Both SML mothers are annoying & obsessed with money
-Both MLs help the FLs knowing about their revenge

Out of the 2 I would say I preferred the SH since it didn’t go as dark as TP & although both FL are frustrating in the process of their revenge I liked that SH Main couple wasn’t as hopeless as TP

Both are revenge melodramas about a woman whose partner cheated on and married a wealthy woman. The female lead then falls in love with a family member of the villain. There are birth secrets and lots of scheming.

Its premise reminds me alot of birth of a beauty. Both have significant others who betrayed their trust for a women and they decide to get revenge on them

Both dramas are makjang, dark and about revenge. The FL married/engaged to the ML however the SFL - the villain is jealous to the FL... so she steals and seduce the man and both dramas have the FL who were framed for murder and wrongfully imprisoned. Their children went missing because of the villain. The person they loved were taken by the female villain and has the FL falling in love with the second male lead.

FEmale leads being betrayed by their own boyfriend/husband by marrying rich woman. The female leads fall in love with the brother of the rich woman seek revenge.

-the SFL seduced the FL's lover
-FL is being looked down
-Stereotype poor and rich characters
-SFL gets what she wants
-The cheater male lead
-the biological mothers who doesn't know their real daughter.

They both get cheated on and they take away the fl son. The ex lovers wed another woman who are both the same in my opinion. To get the son back they work in hands with ex in laws enemy. To have a happy ending with a new lover.

Cheating partner, rich chaebol lady, single mom, falling in love with the villain's brother, there's just so much in common between the two!

Both dramas follow the aftermath of a man's betrayal of his woman, her family, and their child for money and status.

Both female leads experience betrayal at the hands of their boyfriends/fiances who have been with them for a long time.

Both boyfriends leave them for conglomerate heiresses.

Both boyfriends are assholes and you hate them more and more with each episode.

In both of these dramas there's an unplanned pregnancy. Additionally, in both dramas the female lead is naive. In both dramas, you will be infuriated with the male lead. Last but not least, in both dramas the second male lead is a good guy.

Both of the female lead were kind and then betrayed by close friends and loosed some people they love.

Both dramas are addictive with greedy villain FLs and main characters want to get revenge for their loved ones.
Uhm Hyun Kyung was the FL in both dramas and there is a similar plot twist (spoiler)
Kim Hee Jung was also in AMIAV before as a villain but now she is a good supporting character.

I recommend this both drama because , Male lead and Female lead
try to solve problem
In one drama explosion and another student murder/suicide
