KinnPorsche (2022)

In love with this series

Kinnporsche is definitely my one of favorite thai dramas, I think it's one of the best in the history of thai BL dramas. It cointains everything: good music, good-looking actors, good acting, perfect lighting, sweet chemistry and good quaility and it's something different than just another university stories. Of course it has it's flaws, but they are small and they don't ruin the greateness of this series.

So first of all I think the drama is a bit better than the novel. Of course I'm not saying the novel is bad, I love both the drama and the novel but they are for sure different. The novel is harsh, sometimes it was too rough for me. Meanwhile the drama is comforting and calming. I adore the chemistry between actors. Especially Nattawin's acting, it was sooo good and he fits the role of Porsche very well.
Even if the relationship between Kinn and Porsche was rather tense at first, it didn't trigger my emotions like it did the novel. When I was reading the novel I often felt very annoyed with their constant bickering and conversations, but in the drama it just felt more natural, maybe because of well played emotions. As I mentioned, the chemistry between Kinn and Porsche is very sweet. The scenes are emotional and it shows the love between characters very well.

There were all kinds of actors in this series. You can see that some of them were much more experienced and some of them less. If you won't pay much attention to it you can't really see the flaws in some roles. But the main roles such as Porsche, Kinn, Vegas and Pete were well played by the actors and I think the cast was just amazing.

THE. MUSIC. OH. MY GOD.
I must say something about this work of art. The music is just fantastic, everyone knows that the music plays a huge role and this time it was just so well made I must bow and pay respect.
"Free fall" is just a freakin' masterpiece, Slot Machine did a really great job. I loved this song the first time I heard it. And the instrumental version? Oh my god. It's just perfect. It's beautiful both in thai and english.
"Why don't you stay", same feelings, masterpiece created for this series.
I was so amazed by the soundtrack, it wasn't just the same song over and over as it usually happens in BL dramas.

So about the flaws of this series. The first flaw is that they didn't give any hints for the plot at the beginning. In the novel you can see from the start that Korn knows something about Porsche. Meanwhile in the drama everything that happens at the end seems very random because there wasn't anything said about it, especially the part with his mother. But you know, you can connect everything at the end eventually so it's not a very bad flaw.
The second flaw is that I think Pete was showed too little before his own story with Vegas, because later it just seems like the side character just got an update to being a main character when in reality he was one of the main charactes all along since the beginning.

So overall it's a very well made adaptation of a great novel with an amazing an uniqe story. They did a phenomenal job and I'm loving this series very much. It will stay in my heart forever and I definitely recommend it.

WORTH IT !!

Well well here we have a completely different BL which does not include engineering students Thank God for that! Mr Pond saved us!! Thank you!!
Just wanted to mention there are a lot of mixed reviews, some liked it some didnt some had good words some thrashed it. I just wanna say eveyone is not same everyone's got thier own personal choices and preferences. For me I loved the series and enjoyed it to the "T" . The acting was the "Best Part".
Bible as Vegas Build as Pete their acting skill were off the charts not being bais but just appreciating the fact. In the beginning we were there for Kinn and Porsche but as the story progresses Vegas and Pete steals the show.
Even if one is in doubt you have to give Kinn Porsche the series a watch 100% guaranteed you will not be disappointed.

BL's keep getting better and better!

I remember being hyped for the show when the first teaser trailer came out for KinnPorsche two years ago. It was upsetting when there were some issues with the original company, and thought we wouldn't be getting KinnPorsche, but two years later, here we are! I waited months for KinnPorsche to end before I finally binged it all, and I'm so happy I did! Everything about this show is just refreshing, new, and well done. First and foremost I have to talk about the actors and how amazing they did. They truly gave it their all and brought their characters to life perfectly. Apo, the actor who plays Porsche, kept blowing me away with his facial expressions and his eyes. You could feel and see so much. All of them just did so great. The chemistry between all the couples is off the charts. All the action scenes/fight scenes are well choreographed and look realistic. I honestly enjoyed every single episode and never felt bored or like I had to skip anything (episode 6 was one of my favorites!) I was genuinely invested and intrigued by every character and the storyline. The series didn't really end with any cliffhangers, but there were definitely some things I would love to see discussed in a season 2. For example, what happens to Vegas and Pete after seeing the ending. I would like to see more of Porsche, Porchay, and their mom. Also, now that Porsche is head of the minor family, I would like to see him being in charge, making decisions, navigating this new world, and of course, his relationship with Kinn continued. Kim and Porchay's relationship kind of had an open ending, and I would really like to see them get together as an official couple. The last thing I want to talk about is the soundtrack! I love the theme 'Free Fall' by Slot Machine. I added it to my playlist and have been listening to it for a couple of days now. It's just such a great song. There are a few different versions of it in the show! There's a slow instrumental cover for the romantic and emotional scenes and the regular version for action scenes. Jeff Satur, who plays Kim sang an ost called 'Why don't you stay' that's played throughout the show, and it's really beautiful. I hope we can see more action BL shows like this in the future, and I would love to see more from all the actors because they are phenomenal. The cast and crew worked so hard, and they deserve all the success for this amazing show! Fingers crossed for a season 2!

Overall review

The starting few episodes made me feel that the series might be boring. The storyline has been very slow till episode no. 7. Few parts of the series were just mind-blowing and also some parts made me left in tears. The time when Big was shoot to death was very sad. I didn't liked the main couple much but the side couples got my heart. Kinn Porshe's relationship was no doubt good. Bit certain times it seems like they only want each other for sex. Talking of the first side couple. The way Vegas was treating Pete when he kidnapped him made me angry and the fact that after that Pete still loved him was nonsense, but later in ep. 14 when I found there chemistry to be understanding, and the last scene of ep. 14 made me really happy. Pete's acting is of another level. Now about the 2nd side couple KimChay. There chemistry had been good, but later when Chay realised that Kim only used him for his own purpose was very heartbreaking. There story had been left with a loose end. I hope that it more parts of their story will be included in second season. Also KimChay is my favourite couple. The best scene that made me aww were when Chay was in Kim's arm in Porshe's home before being kidnapped and the 2nd one was the ending scene of the series. The characters are overall good. I think Kinn's character could have been improved. Also I didn't liked the fact that Porshe was choosing Vegas's side even though he betrayed him once. Kim is my favourite from the series. Overall the series was good, the action scenes were on another level and some parts were literally mind blowing....

Not Bad

This is my first BL, and I'm only watching because of Jeff Satur. I watched tons of interviews and reaction videos before deciding to watch the series. I love all of the cast, they're all good looking (except for Miles sorry). I fell in love with Build just by watching their contents because he's such a sunshine. Acting wise, they're all really good and I have zero complaint.

What I find strange is the lack of women and how everyone in the circle are gay?? I mean I know this is BL but everyone's gay??Also a straight Porsche (and assumingly Pete as well) turns gay (or bi?) that fast? Pretty convenient lol

Also from their content on Youtube the supporting actors talk about their preparation for the series, character development and the way the whole cast are promoted. But it's unfortunate that they BARELY show up on the screen, let alone have lines to show their characters. Character development what? Maybe they already filmed some parts for season 2?? Idk.

Also what does Kinn (or the family for that matter) actually does? Sure, he's a mafia who runs some kind of business, but what kind of business really? He never mentioned any specifics. And the way the way just roam around all day is strange. At least with the minor family, I kinda get the idea (although still barely).

Not gonna comment on how the sex scene is kinda like rape since Porsche's drugged, because as we are all aware, the novel it's based on is a red flag in itself. Also Kinn's is like horny 24/7 or what?? Glad scenes between Chay and Kim were just pecks and cuddlesvtho. Pheww.

Not what I expected

I was really scared to start this one,but woahhh,I'M GLAD I DID.
This had the potential to be my favorite ,but honestly it didn't.I can still give it a 9-10.

1. The first think I can think about is how much I loved Porsche, no need to explain why .

2. The ost? ?%

3.The whole plot was just a masterpiece, I finished it 2 day ago and I already miss the vibe it gave me SO MUCH.

4. I rarely find shows where I just LOVE the acting of all the actors and simply enjoy all of their screen time. It was pure art for me.

5. Can we talk about Tankhun? I ADORE HIM. He was such a cutie from the very start. His actions, words and interactions with his bodyguards,especially Pete (listen,that boy,I loved him so much too) were just ??. I can't imagine KinnPorsche without him.


6. The story of Kinn and Porsche? I can simply just ignore everything bad about it. (I won't lie,I know there were some toxic parts,none of them was an angel) but I didn't really notice them while watching. For me,it was just perfect,their chemistry was on another level of chemistring and nobody can change my mind. The way their story progressed> (My favorite part is that part between the ep 1 and 14.)

7. Kim and Porchay? I liked their story and ending too,it wasn't really that sad for me,it was just the better option,it was hard for them to trust,at least Chay knew Kim loved him after everything that happened,he always did,he just didn't choose the best way to show it. (That scene where Kim was fighting for their lives in the back and Chay was just enjoying his time with the headphones, I laughing and thinking it was me trying to ignore my problems).

8. Huh,Pete and Vegas? Wow,ok,I'm gonna be honest,I don't really understand the hype. I knew they would end up together and I knew what kind of story they have too(before wathing),but still had hopes that it's gonna be better. I told myself that I'm not gonna fall for them and yes,I did a little,they were cute somehow but I couldn't ignore ...it was so toxic...
I can't love Vegas with all my heart He tortured him man...he was so wrong... did that thing with him and then again,Did Pete so dirty...in the end : "please don't leave me" .Really? I wanted at least more apologies.
Poor Pete,he fell for him and yes,the heart wants what it wants. So my bottom line is that if they hadn't ended up together, I wouldn't have been sad.

Somehow I feel guilty about my good opinion because I very clearly noticed other BAD parts, but idk, I liked it and that's it, I just can't deny how much I enjoyed watching it. This got the power over me,it's an exception,I promise. I am proud of the opinions of others.✌️

Bestest of the Best!

Well, all I can say is the actors are very good looking and very talented especially Bible and Build; Bible, who executed psychotic and domineering mafia; Build, who is cute, overthinker and masochist caring person. Kinn and Porsche the manly Top and Bottom couple who are passionate.

Plot and the twist is not that typical BL series we are watching before. This series nailed it!

Thank you KinnPorsche La Forte Series for the great job. Hope there's a season 2. Season 2 that is still the best without making Vegas and Porsche a toxic character.

Might be one my favorite drama of all time...

After I watched it for the first time, I just thought it was pretty decent. But as days passed by, this drama put my in a slump. Nothing was giving me joy like watching KP MV's. If you are a dark romance girlie, you will absolutely eat this up. I obviously would not recommend this to everyone. If you are triggered by dub-con/torture... this ain't it.

Let me start off by saying that the cast/screenwriters completely carried this drama. The storyline is basic af. The fact that so much was changed and adapted lets you know how much everyone elevated this. Every couple shine in their own way (different couples for different levels???). The main couple was just chef kiss. And I am not talking about the toxic consent/non-consent parts. Straight up, they have one of the best on-screen chemistry I have ever seen in an asian drama. When they kissed, it doesn't feel weird or out of place (like kissing a plastic cardboard). They played their parts so well that it's easy to get lost into. Their tension and attraction is never lacking.

This has the perfect amount of everything (humor, romance, action, etc...) without going overboard. I didn't feel bored because they pacing was pretty decent and cohesive enough. The only weakness (IMO) in the cast/acting was Barcode but understandably he was very young compared to the other cast member. However, his cuteness and innocence really shine through in Porchay. I do love KimChay chemistry/dynamic. My second favorite.

The couples are very toxic in different ways but the acting is so good. They elevated the characters and brought them to life. I cannot believe this is BIble first time acting. I am impatient waiting for his next project. Although I didn't really care for his character/romance--I see the potential.

Soundtrack and cinematography was great. I dig the color palette.

I'm gonna be real, I can rewatch this drama a couple times a year LOL.

FENOMENAL, SEM MAIS

Faço parte do fandom BL de forma assídua e fiel desde 2007, quando tudo era mato e o processo de conseguir ver os projetos era árduo. De lá pra cá, já se vão mais de 500 séries BL de diversos países da Ásia, então posso dizer com lugar de fala e categoria: KinnPorsche é uma das melhores séries já produzidas até hoje, e estou escrevendo essa resenha em 2023, quase um ano depois do lançamento da série.

O sucesso estrondoso se deve a muitos fatores, mas creio que a quantidade de polêmicas em que a série esteve envolvida, realmente foi algo que prendeu os fãs. A série foi anunciada pela primeira vez em 2020, a novel ainda estava sendo escrita (terminou em 2021), pelos autores conhecidos por "irmãos DAEMI", um casal de irmãos extremamente problemáticos e polêmicos. Os primeiros produtores tiveram que sair do projeto por não conseguirem se entender com eles, e com isso, mais polêmicas, o medo da série não sair do papel e a esperança de que tudo se resolvesse. Em meio a esse alvoroço, a produtora "Be on Clould" assumiu o projeto, acalmando temporariamente os fãs, mas a calma durou pouco, pois em breve anunciaram a saída de alguns atores, entre eles, Gameplay, ator que tinha um ship com Jeff Satur na época, o que não agradou aos fãs do casal.

O investimento feito na série foi fenomenal. há quem diga que boa parte desse investimento veio do ator principal (Mile), intérprete de Kinn, apenas para realizar seu sonho de atuar, não posso afirmar se é verdade, mas o fato é que muito dinheiro foi envolvido e uma super produção foi ao ar. Após o fim da série, o elenco entrou em uma turnê mundial e chegou a formar uma banda, porém após os escândalos envolvendo um dos atores principais, Intérprete de Pete (Build), as chances de uma segunda temporada foram por água abaixo.

A série foi perfeita? Não! Teve coisas que não gostei? Com certeza! Mas negar a obra de arte que ela foi deveria ser considerado pecado. Antes de ver a série eu li a novel, confesso que não gosto de fazer isso, mas a curiosidade foi mais forte. E um dos pontos que deveria ter sido melhor para mim é o fato da parte final da série não ser fiel à novel, pois as coisas se encaminharam para uma aparente segunda temporada, tanto pelo fato da mãe de Porsche e Porchay ainda estar viva (na novel ela está morta), como nas palavras finais do pai de Kinn, tanto pelo fato de não terem explorado o romance de Kim e Porchay, tudo dava a entender que para que as peças se encaixassem perfeitamente, deveria ter uma próxima temporada. Aí veio a confusão entre o ator e a escritora e tudo foi parar no tribunal, segunda temporada, bye bye, saudades do que a gente não viveu kkkkkk.

No aspecto técnico, não tenho nada para reclamar. As cenas são absolutamente irretocáveis, desde a atuação, entrega e química fenomenal entre todos os atores, que se encaixaram de forma perfeita em seus papéis. As cenas de luta são muito bem coreografadas, e até a fumaça vermelha na hora dos tiros, que me incomodou tanto no começo, passou a fazer sentido para mim.

A série teve uma filmografia, cenografia e fotografia que foram totalmente inovadoras, o uso das cores era totalmente ligado à psicologia de seus significados, e a mudança de cor acompanhava as mudanças de humor, de cenário, de situação. Cores quentes em momentos quentes ou felizes, cores sombrias em momentos de tensão.
O uso de espaços grandiosos nas cenas de suspense para dar o efeito de medo, a forma como as cenas eram filmadas, de ângulos belíssimos, inteligentes e eu diria que até improváveis. A continuidade das cenas, não existiam cortes "do nada", seguidos por uma cena que não se conectava à anterior. A música simplesmente perfeita complementando a obra e sendo o xeque- mate.

Outro ponto, é a imprevisibilidade. Cada ep traz uma dose de adrenalina diferente, ou por causa de uma cena de ação bem - feita, ou por causa de uma cena de sexo espetacular, às vezes nem precisava do sexo, mas o romance fazia-nos encantar, ou tudo isso se misturava e nos deixava enlouquecidos, como nas cenas de ação em que Kinn e Porsche achavam tempo para sacanagem em meio aos tiroteios. Os sentimentos em relação aos atores mudam, uma hora você confia nesse, no próximo ep já acha que ele é um traidor e por aí vai.

Outra coisa que amei, foi o fato da homossexualidade ser tratada da forma mais natural possível, existiram dramas por tudo, menos por isso, justamente numa série de máfia. Gostaria muito de ver o desenvolvimento de Kim e Porchay, mas, infelizmente parece que não vou ver.

Enfim, o tipo de série que trouxe milhares para o fandom, e que eu ainda irei rever mil vezes. Eu panfleto KinnPorsche em toda e qualquer oportunidade. Por favor, não parta dessa vida sem ver essa obra de arte.
