A 1998 song played in 2023 to most of our liking.
Having watched this completely , i have to say that this has impressed me and enjoyed it.Episode 11 had me confused a while , i just had to convince myself that i understood that somehow.
Female Lead whom i did not like it in Vincenzo and dropped that drama near the end.
But this one she completely outshined with her acting range. OMG , the way she switched her acting to portray two different characters are amazing , i am actually convinced that i am literally watching two different person with same face performed those roles. That how good her acting was.
Its a great casting all around, A unique time travel theme , it really demanded the brain to be working too much to comprehend what's was going on with the timelines and loops at certain times.

My favorite healing kdrama
The story might feel a bit confusing but all the pieces fall into place when you're almost finishing this up. I finished this kdrama in 2 days it was so good. I didn't want it to end at all definitely recommend you will cry a lot, laugh, and get mad too. I experienced so many emotions when I was watching this. Usually I don't watch kdramas again only if it's really good. And this is definitely rewatch worthy.Considerați utilă această recenzie?

An amazing rollercoaster ride!
Even though I watched the original a couple months earlier, I could still enjoy and cry with A Time Called You just like an individual project. You have to watch with an open heart and try to avoid the comparisons because it will affect your experience. Besides, each actor put their own impressions and thoughts into their characters. I think the idea here was never fully copy the original, but bring the essence of it, and they did that well.
Yeon-been was excellent portraying the differences between Jun-hee and Min-ju, and Hyo-seop was able to convey Si-Heon's charisma and pain.
I don't get why people got so critical about how he portraid old Si-Heon, because I could understand that after all he had to go through, alone, he was just tired and stopped caring about his appereance, since he was so invested in fixing what happened.
And thats okay, I think both versions of the character, original and remake, are valid.
About the time lines, you need to be patient and pay close attention to details, because by the end it will make sense.
I think the one thing that bothered me a little was that they cutted out some of the relationship's delevopment between the characters. It was sentimental, but in a more straight way.
I really liked some changes the writer made like Yeon Jun's story (it was less darker than the OG and helped me to understand what actually happened with the character), and the OST also turned out to be one of my favorites. I wasn't expecting it. I've been listening the songs since the release. I just wished Netflix had released the acoustic version of NewJeans' Beautiful Restriction on streaming, because I LOVED it ever since I heard in the promotional trailers.
For those who have never seen the original, A Time Called You will be quite a journey and will hold you in your seat while the story unfolds.
I totally recommend you to give it a try and just enjoy the ride. I've watched three times already, so it's worth it

Extraordianry game with time. Nothing and no one is the same.
My idea about this series: After the first episode, I thought it would be a pleasant relaxing series where we have footage from the present when something happened and we go back to the past and the story tells us what and why happened in the past and also in the present... Reality: I was more and more out of it with each subsequent episode, I was yelled at sometimes in the 6th episode, totally psycho... who is who and at what time it happened, because the times didn't fit at all, neither the characters nor the names. From a pleasant relaxing time, it changed into a brutal game with time, storylines, and characters. I devoured this series in about two days. Thank you for releasing it into the world with all the parts at once. If it were done gradually, I would probably snap or stop watching it. The casting was 100% successful. Acting skills were at the highest level. This was the Ahn Hyo Seop I had been waiting for for a very long time. Not the artificial, conceited, most stylish one like in Business Proposal, nor such a bunny as in Abyss, or in 30 but 17. He suited me better in Lovers of the Red Sky but here in A time called you, he was perfect here from the first moment to the last. I enjoyed every scene with him. Also, Kang Hoon surprised me even more after The Red Sleeve. The boys did a great job playing both student and adult roles. And Jeon Yeo Bin was also awesome. How action-packed and funny she was in Vincenzo, here she was incredibly emotional and cared about every detail of her characters. Anyone who has seen Memories of Alhambra will surely recognize Min Jin-Woong, who he played as Hyun Bin's assistant and good friend. In this series, however, he got a completely different character, actually several characters...each different, but refined. I recommend watching this series when you have enough time to watch it continuously. I had to rewatch a few things again to better understand the storyline.Considerați utilă această recenzie?

Amazing!
I loved it <3 and enjoyed it a lot!

Possibly my top drama watched this year?
I absolutely love Time Travel stories, they more often than not get some aspect of the time travel cause and effect loop wrong, or don't fully respect it and use it only when it benefits them, but when a Time Travel drama gets it right it scores a platinum - and this one such drama.Based on a Taiwanese drama (Some day or One day) which i have not watched (nor was aware of) this is the Korean retelling of that story. I can't judge it for how similar or different it is, so I won't, i'm just looking at this from a "I watched this, this is what I think" perspective.
The writing on this is absolutely some of the best i've seen. At 12 episodes, it is allowed to keep a good pace throughout without ever feeling drawn out. It twists and turns, but it all makes sense and you'll find every episode opening your eyes and making you click "next episode" just that little bit faster. The back and forth on this one, the way that time travel is knitted throughout the story is just beautiful in execution.
The romance is fantastic too and the two leads are great - but specifically I want to call out the female lead, Jeon Yeo Been, who so beautifully portrays two different characters - the outgoing Jun Hee from 2023, and the shy quiet Min Ju from 1998, you can easily tell them apart even from the way that they walk.
I will say, if you're someone who needs to understand the "how" of something like this, you're going to find this a 1/10 drama, because really - there is no explanation for something that can't be understood at this point in time by us such as Time Travel, so I kinda appreciate it when writers don't try to dazzle us with science or fantasy and just ask us to "sit down, relax, and enjoy the story". Many of the best sci-fi elements tweak something and explore the outcome of it without needing to explain how that tweak was possible. Remember, Magic is Science that you don't yet understand, just enjoy the magic.
I related a lot to the portrayal of the loneliness of Min Ju as well, simply not understanding how to integrate with everyone else, being the outcast and loner, I relate to that far more than I even realised and particularly in the closing episodes it home really hard. and it helped me understand her character and motivations even more.
There aren't many dramas that have had this much of an effect on me emotionally to be honest, the last time I can think of a drama having me a-buzz like this was "The Light in Your Eyes" (2019) with Han Ji Min which was also alluding to be a Time Travel theme as well.
Music is good, lots of time spent in 1998 so some nice old scenes and music to listen to.
I won't go into any more detail, you just need to go on this journey for yourself and enjoy it.
As to the ending - in my opinion, it's perfect. Just exactly what's needed and not a drop more, and i'll leave it there :)

amazing when you haven’t seen the original
having not seen the original, i was able to appreciate this drama on its own and i found it incredible. in fact i HAVE to watch the original now because i was in disbelief when i heard it’s better than this already is. i think it’s inevitable to compare two versions of something, but if you haven’t seen the original don’t let the negative reviews steer you away because this was really good too.it also makes me sad that some people are dismissing it because of its complexity. time travel plots should be confusing, if they’re not, then they’re not doing it right. another great example is donnie darko. i don’t like a lot of time travel stories because they fail to consider how one small thing would change the whole future, but they understood the concept really well with this one and used it to create one of the most clever storylines i’ve ever seen. i guess not everyone will understand it, admittedly there were multiple moments where i had to pause and wrap my head around what was going on, but in the end everything adds up so perfectly it had me wondering how on earth people come up with stuff like this

Just watch it
First of all, I watched it without knowing that this was a re-do version of another story. If you haven't watched the other version, then, just watch this and don't read other negative comments! That being said: I just loved it.
It was perfect.
It kept hanging over and over again.
I cried several times which I barely do (compared to my friends).
I loved the way the series managed the time travel, it gave me DARK vibes (german series from Netflix as well). I understand that some people might think it was confusing, but to be honest it was pretty simple to understand if you're paying attention.
The cast was perfect as well.
The music was perfect.
Just watch it.

Time traveling to the past to see a lover
Greetings, everyone! I am thrilled to be back with another K-drama study. In my previous review, I shared my thoughts on the second season of The Uncanny Counter, which I found to be an enjoyable watch. Today, I am excited to share my review of A Time Called You, a recently released Netflix drama I binge-watched in just two days. It's been a while since a show captured my attention to the point where I contemplate it even while working. Thus, I'm eager to dive into the drama and explore my thoughts in greater detail.Disclaimer: There may be spoilers, so read at your own will
Story:
A Time Called You has an enjoyable story that kept me wanting to see more of it. I loved how the case tape would take Han Jun Hee back to 1998. Ahn Hyo Seop from Business Proposal starred in the show, and I loved his acting as he fits well with the whole story. I did like the mystery aspect that the show throws at us occasionally. It was nice to see them portray two characters in the show as the male lead, and the female lead did an excellent job with those two. The time-traveling stuff was executed perfectly, making me wonder what would happen next. At some moments, the story was hard to understand.
One scene I like is when Min Ju and Nam Si Heon lie together under the tree. It looks so cute. I have never seen the original version, but this remake was all right. I've seen a couple of time travel shows before, but this might be the best I've seen. The show's final scene made me tear up a little as the two main characters meet each other.
OSTs:
I loved all the OSTs that this show delivered. The piano-driven song from Kim Min Seok, who provided killer vocals that kept me coming back for more. Lim Kim had an acoustic ost one that was another one I kept listening to on repeat. Kei has to be my favorite artist who released a song for this show, as you can feel the emotion from the singer's performance. The only OST I wasn't crazy about was Newjeans, as it felt lifeless to me, but I still returned to it a few times. I have still been having these Osts on repeat since they were released.
Overall, A Time Called You is getting a B from me for being a great show, but not one that thoroughly blew me away. The Acting and music fit well with the overall vibe of the show. I was excited about this show, and it was worth the wait. I'm excited to see what the next drama will be bringing to the table for me. I hope you all have a great day or night wherever you are.

Rather soft love story with a lot of twists and turns!
I have seen 3 episodes of the similar series Someday or Oneday few months back. Always love time travelling movie and dramas. Blue Birthday is my most favourite♥️Recently through Ost got to know about this series A time called you. First thing which clicked my mind was the music… OST was so lit that I had to made my mind for watching this series. Actors were goodlooking so I was hooked.
Ahn Hyo-seop was outstanding, when he acts you really get into the character. The actress and other ML did a good performance too. The confusing part came where Nam Se Heon goes in the future in Yeon Jun’s body. I guess most of viewers will find it difficult to know what happened to Yeon Jun then. So let me make it clear for them that it is a lovestory between 1998(Nam Se Heon) and 2023(Han Jun Hee).
She travels back into the past for him and he travels into the future for her. Hope you understand now❤️ And yes MINJU’s character freaks me out… when it turns into negative I was swearing her whole time🤣 was so angry at her!!
Can’t tell which version is more perfect because I have not yet completed the Taiwanese version! Would only say that you should watch this one if you like the cast, slow romance, suspense and time travelling dramas!!
Would rate the series 8/10 for me! Ideal for binge-watching!!
