Zai Ni Xin Zhi Suo Xiang De Di Fang (2022)

Facciamo una premessa: la stragrande maggioranza dei drama BL cinesi sono in realtà delle serie BRomance, ispirate a romanzi BL. Questo perchè anche nel 2024 la censura lì viaggia con la C maiuscola. Poi ci sono delle rarità, dove la tematica non viene eliminata. Questo drama ne è un esempio: i pensieri dei protagonisti non lasciano margine a dubbi sulla natura dei loro sentimenti, e ci scappa pure un bacio delicato. Poi, però, il disastro. Come in un altro drama simile - Addicted - se la tematica BL non viene eliminata a monte, allora viene gestita in uno stesso, pessimo, identico modo: con una scena aggressiva e non consensuale. Insomma, l'amore "bello" tra due uomini proprio le serie cinesi non riescono a contemplarlo. Rispetto ad Addicted, che ho trovato malsano dall'inizio alla fine, questo drama è stato davvero carino fino all'ultimo episodio: lì la caduta totale sia per la scena fuori luogo, sia per un finale sbrigativo e indegno di una serie che per i primi sette episodi aveva saputo comunque trovare il suo perchè. Altra similitudine con Addicted, altro aspetto che non capisco: perchè due protagonisti evidentemente non adolescenti dal punto di vista anagrafico vanno a rivestire i ruoli di due liceali. Mistero.
Se per Addicted la Cina ha saputo rimediare qualche anno dopo con la rivisitazione - bella, delicata, intensa ma più Bromance che BL - di "Resta con me", spero che anche in questo caso la storia - che in sé ha del potenziale - possa essere ripresa da capo con un remake fatto come si deve.

Pathetic ending

The series was short and mediocre at best. I wouldn't write anything but for my annoyance at the ending. I think it's disrespectful to keep making BL's where the relationship finally gets going just to have one of them suddenly have to move across the country, or the world, for God knows how long. This plot device is old and tired and I just don't know why it's so frequently used nowadays. Writers need to be brave and write conflict without taking the easy way out by using distance or death. Come on!
So, yeah, the series wasn't all that good but the ending just tanked it further in my opinion.

Beautiful in its own way

Know this title from YT. Quite surprise there's another BL from China. And more surprise after watching this to find out this more daring than Stay With Me. Wonder how they surpassed the censorship....

Story of 2 childhood friends, Cheng Yi (CY) & Ling Zi Ming (ZM). They're neighbors, both have no parent and live with their relatives, CY with his grandma & ZM with his aunt. And when they start hit puberty, their feeling toward each other slowly change into something more.

At first, CY still tried to deny his feelings & try to chase a girl. But when they have a new friend, Lu Xiang Lin (XL), that show more attention & getting closer to ZM, make CY had to admit his feeling for ZM.

It’s beautiful story about teenagers that try to know their sexuality & dare to admit it to their own self. Unfortunately the last episode a little bit dissapointed. But i just can't give this drama lower score.

There's a little coercion toward SA between ZM & CY in the end. The pissed CY forced himself to ZM, cause ZM still don't want to acknowledge his own feeling for CY. I'm not justify what CY did to ZM, it's wrong. And how much I hope the director add 1-2 more ep for closed the relationship between CY & ZM than this.

This is an open ending. Oh i really wish they give us second season. But I don’t pissed too much with this kind of open ending. It's the open ending that I can make peace with & beautiful in its own way.

BFFR

Are you for real?! I started watching this show and I thought it was GREAT! I really did. Every episode made me happy and I genuinely shipped the couple, but here come the last 2 episodes.
THEY COMPLETELY RUINED THIS SHOW
Like I'm so upset because it was so good but they just completely messed it up and now I feel bad about ever starting the show, smh.
Like please don't even start this because you will get attached and then feel like you need to fight the story writer. I don't want to spoil so if you watch, good luck. And those who think this show is still good... be for real.

In Your Heart?

Overall: choppy BL with a bad ending. Watched on Gagaoolala (also on Viki).

Content Warnings: rape (portrayed as romantic), non con kissing/trying to kiss, punches, beaten up (off screen)

What I Liked
- the OST and intro sequence was well done
- there were a few funny moments like the music when they were sitting on the wall, broom fighting
- good production value

Room For Improvement
- the non con was totally unnecessary and the ending was stupid, it didn't make me throw my computer in rage but I was disappointed
- the female love interest part was confusing and unneeded
- that mom looked the exact same age as the high school student (actor is 29 apparently, the mom should have been an older actress)
- choppy editing/plot
- the side characters needed more development
- continuity error, after being beaten up with visible injuries, they are injury free in the next scene
- the scene in the principal's office/that money thing were too long

Chinese BL

Well, let’s get started.
I personally DID like the first episode. The story itself, adds nothing new to the BL world but it’s it’s interesting see regardless of this, at least for me it is.

I have so critique points though.

First of all, the editing. The editing is choppy, specially the last few minutes of the episode. I hope this issue is resolved in the following episodes.

The acting is good but some of the supporting cast could do better, I was not feeling it with them. The main leads were ok, there’s room for improvement too.

The music is good too. I like it.

Now, the dubbing. Let’s talk about it, I’m already familiar with Chinese dramas and dubbing so this is not new for me but it did throw me off when some parts of episode 1 where dubbed and others were not. I don’t know if it was a budget issue or not but it was definitely not good.

Overall, the episode was good, considering it’s a Chinese production with very limited budget. It’s not amazing but it’s watchable and I appreciate the effort the production team put into this project.

The drama is worth checking out, it’s nice, it has a few negative things about it but overall, it’s really nice.

I’m excited to see the next episodes, I’m hoping for them to be better.

NO SE SALVA, MUY MAL

No puedo aprovar esta serie, dejando de lado su bajo presupuesto y la poca calidad en su producción, no me ha gustado nada el tema de "voy a hacerte confesar lo que sientes por mi...a la fuerza". Creo que esta escena de sexo forzado ( o digámoslo más claro: violación porque no es consentido ni mucho menos) en una serie de este tipo que pretende explicarnos una historia de amor muy dulce entre dos mejores amigos no cuadra ni en pintura y desvirtúa todo lo que se nos ha contado. Es como si en Cherry blossoms, (la preciosura coreana que también está en viki ) Tae Song forzara a tener sexo a Hae Bom para hacerle confesar su amor por él.
Si tu eres la casa del otro, si tu amas a la otra persona eres paciente y no le fuerzas a nada. Lo cuidas y lo mimas y lo esperas.
Además esta actitud no tiene arreglo posible porque pasa en el último capítulo. No la recomiendo, lo siento!
