If I could have rate it more than 10, I would've!
Up until this time I never completely believed reviews that said that "so and so" drama made me write my first review but "My liberation notes" what a show, story, and piece of art you are!Yes, this show is that one. Many people consider it as boring and very slow-paced but that is the whole point and charm of the show. It shows our day-to-day pace and a life that is relatable to millions. I got very disappointed when people consider the show actually starts getting good after episode 3. My personal favorites might be the pilot(episode 1) & episode 2. The scene I was most impressed by was the natural silence that is present in any house, with the rustling sounds of utensils while preparing and eating food, and exchanging no dialogue. This drama is touching very important and sensitive topics which are completely realistic but I am more fond of the quiet and daily life portrayed here.

Introvert heaven
This drama is not only about introverts and highly sensitive people, it also feels like it is directly made to calm the exhausted nerves and overwhelmed minds of those. Liberation Notes is about acceptance of yourself just the way you are in a world that isn't always too kind to people straying from the herd. It is healing and soothing, inspiring and encouraging. One thing I got from almost all of the storylines: to find someone you can talk to about your deepest feelings and thoughts and they don't run screaming is all you actually need. Whether you are that person for yourself or someone else is.

Quiet, low-key perfection
I loathe & shun supernatural/fantasy & have a visceral (ha!) aversion to graphic violence, so finding Dramas that hit my sweet spot is tough. MLN was outside my usual fare, but it was intelligent, thoughtful, grounded and stayed true to itself. Matter-of-factly downbeat, It didn't glorify misery or pain as artistic or 'worthy', but more important, it nailed the landing by not tacking on a jarring fairytale happy ending. In fact, because the Drama stayed so true to itself, the ending could be seen as far from happy, but it was tonally perfect for the Drama. "5 minutes a day" summed it up, and while I wouldn't rewatch it, I'm glad I strayed from my usual fare and savoured this delight.

A warm drama about real life moments, love, joy and acceptance
If I were to start writing reviews on K-dramas, it should definitely be My Liberation Notes. So I am starting. It was the most natural and sincere series I've ever watched. It portrays the life of an ordinary family in the rural such a real way. I felt like they were our neighbors and friends.
Among the characters, my favorite was "Yeom Chang Hee". At first he was an impatient and repulsive character, but then he turned into an understanding and calm person. He improved more than anyone else, accepted what he is, worked hard and found peace. Especially the scenes where he compares himself to a drizzle rather than an ocean and where he explains that he is always where he should be were great. I watched many dramas of Lee Min Kim, but it was in this drama that I realized that he is so talented.
The drama ultimately gave the message that even if everything gets worse, there can still be hope and love. Life is to be accepted as it is even you are having your worst times. One can find peace with what he/she has. These are the main points that all characters eventually reached.
In short, My liberation Notes is a great and warm drama with full of hope. If you are looking for a drama about real life moments, love, joy and acceptance, this is definitely it.
