Both of them have a heavy support cast of families and friend that creates a nice atmosphere of love and friendship. Also, although Hometown Cha Cha Cha is not slice of life, it has a light story that resembles the genre.
Both have main leads who have a bit of tension when they first meet, but their chemistry and banter pull you in right from the start. They also both have very sweet, feel-good romances that will leave your heart warm and full!
They are both on Netflix and have a similar vibe. Even the posters give me the same vibe. I personally think that if you really enjoyed OBS that Hometown is the one for you.
Both are romantic healing dramas that feature a City Girl moving to the countryside and falling in love with a boy there. Both couples have good chemistry, and the ML has feelings from the start but doesn't immediately show them outright to the FL due to his trauma. Both follow multiple storylines of the villagers alongside the main protagonists. Both have a very similar heartwarming vibe.
The main hero is a person who lost his parents as a child. Later in life due to his work-related life a person takes his own life. After that he also loses the only other person he cares about. Losing all hope he moves away, isolates himselfs and works to help people with his regular job, but being his best at it. His interactions with people saves them...
while helping them gives meaning to his life. At first he starts helping the main heroine... their love later on helps him face his own trauma. Both were ones planing suicide and a female figure saved them out of nowhere.
While main hero and heroine try to find their own footing in life again.. we got involved in the stories of the people, surrounding them.
In both the heroine has also lost her mother as a child and was raised by a single father for a long time.

Hometown Cha Cha Cha is a light, breezy k-drama; a show rife with romance, comedy and light bites of drama. It’s the perfect small town weekend treat and an undeniably fun watch from start to finish. It melted hearts with the effortless chemistry between its leads Shin Min-a and Kim Seon-ho.
A Romance of the Little Forest is a Chinese comedy, romance drama. Having grown up in the countryside, Mei Ren and Zhuang Yu's paths often crossed.

-Kikazaru... is a similar story set-up as Cha-Cha-Cha, except the leads are the late 20's versions of the lead couple from the latter (who are in their mid-30's). The high-flying city girl, and the homely, earthy and grounded boy with opposing sets of values!
-The FLs land as a tad superficial; fashion and self-image obsessed. The MLs are pretty low-key in comparison, and often give our FLs wholesome critiques which causes them to evolve and not be so uptight.
-Plenty of found-family themes. The story-telling is paced like slice-of-life in both.
-The lead couples have a very youthful, playful dynamic. Their bickering sessions are fun to watch.
-FLs have a previous 'crush', they look up to and immensely respect, but they mistake familiarity and nostalgia with 'love'.
-The MLs are initially reserved in their affection. Both have bouts of jealousy, but FLs are very reassuring in their feelings towards the ML!!!
-Both FLs are extremely career-oriented & independent. Both face immense repercussions at work due to a small incident, at different points of the series.
-Both MLs suffer from heavy emotional trauma (although slightly different reasons). The outcomes are the same though, both retreat from their successful & regular full-time careers, and currently operate only as self-employed part-timers. Like quirky twins, Chief Hong has his 'off-days' and Shun keeps his food-truck open on 'weekdays and whenever it doesn't rain.'
-Both FLs help our MLs overcome their traumas. Likewise, the MLs cause them to become more likeable and soft eventually!
-The couple's 'dreams' clashes in both. However, they eventually can settle on a mutual middle-ground!
BONUS: The first episode epilogues in both the series is the EXACT same. While the leads look like they don't really get along, and are as different as chalk & cheese, the MLs have almost the exact same reaction to our FLs, when they realize the women aren't as superficial as they seem. That's the initial point of attraction between both couples... <3 <3

FL is played by the same actress, Shin Min Ah.
Both dramas are about healing, and being kind to yourself. HCCC focuses more on emotional pain, OMV explores physical scars more. The ML in both have a painful history they are trying to come to terms with, both are gentle, kind and empathetic in their dealings with the people around them.
OMV has a better bromance storyline, but HCCC has a better side story - the town character are a hoot.

Although one drama has special ability, both dramas give off similar vibes.

experiences and learnings. The best thing about life is that it keeps moving forward. No matter what happens in our lives at one point, it keeps going on while letting us learn from it. This is my interpretation about the entire drama.
