Heart Warming w/ different plot

Been watching and turns out amazing. It's heartbreaking, heart warming, lovely and chemistry is on top. Idk y this series is soo underrated like actually is really good and i'm really enjoying this. The plot is soo rare like it's my first time watching BL with that plot like it's amazing and super cute, cool and fun.

The actor is really good job for portraying the character, even lil bit kinda hard or facial expression problem but just a bit and still enjoy it. Really worth to watch and not wasting time because i need part 2, i mean for secondary couple because they look cool together. Hopefully they will have it!!!

Happy I watched it

Okay yes it has flaws and the DID resolution is a medical fantasy.. But who cares? The acting is amazing, the story original and it has stuck in my heart and head for some time. Do yourself a favor. Just watch it and make your own judgement.
Both of the leads give subtle performances in what could have been a bad gay version of the Three Faces of Eve. Not the typical Thai BL factory produced fare. There is real heart here. I would love to see this series continue, if only to explain the second couple who have 2 minutes of screen time. And watch the lead couples journey going forward.

Original and intriguing

I really liked the originality in the plot, it's not this usual to watch a character with mental struggles, especially with DID.

Wu Zheng is perfect ♡ he falls in love with Yu Shi, wants to help him and tries to understand both personalities, not running away from Noah for example but accepting him too and trying to befriend him.

It's a shame this has only 4 short episodes: it could have developed very well, and I could never stop watching them being happy and in love ♡

In episode 4 it was difficult to distinguish the different timelines, but at the end you understand the whole plot.

I'll rewatch this for sure: it's very short and the actors have a GREAT chemistry. Also, some lines will stay in my heart forever ♡

beautiful series

the series was short but even so it was a really cute and loving one. both of the male leads interactions with each other were cute & at times sexy with the intimate part which made me gasp. the story itself was a interesting one especially with the bipolarness and i loved how they worked through it.

if your looking for a short bl series with a little bit of intimacy then this would definitely be the go to. it’s both sweet, heartwarming and hot all at the same time.

both actor’s really did a good job playing there character, this is the kind of bl’s i love to watch.

Need...More

I usually don't write reviews for shows so short, but I couldn't help myself this time. Do not be swayed by the shortness of the episodes. It's all worth it. Obviously, longer eps would be so much more amazing and I need a S2 like yesterday! lol This is definitely a story I haven't seen before. I'm obsessed with things like emotional trauma of the brain so this was right up my alley with the split personality theme. As short as the series was, it was pretty well paced and everything had a reason to be there. I'm hoping for a S2 due to the "other characters" but we'll see. Until then.... Enjoy!

P.S. Wu Zheng's awful shirts gave me anxiety lol

Não imaginei que fosse gostar tanto dessa minissérie. Innocent é uma série taiwanesa sobre um homem com Transtorno Dissociativo de Identidade. Embora Yu Shi seja um adulto, ele aparenta ter a cognição mental de uma criança dócil, inocente e inofensiva. Por causa de um trauma quando tinha 5 anos de idade, Yu Shi desenvolve uma segunda personalidade chamada Noah, uma pessoa mordaz e desconfiada. Noah tem protegido Yu Shi durante anos até ele conhecer Wu Zheng, que com o passar do tempo começa a se sentir atraído por Yu Shi. Por mais interessante que a história seja, o tema foi abordado superficialmente, talvez por ser uma produção com recursos limitados. Com 4 episódios, com menos de 30 min cada, não dá muito para desenvolver um roteiro. A química do casal principal é perfeita. Yi Da Dian, que interpreta Yu Shi/ Noah, consegue retratar duas personalidades diferentes, alternando entre um comportamento indiferente e um comportamento infantil. Não achei a série confusa, mas concordo que algumas perguntas ficaram sem respostas e a presença de um segundo casal nos 45m do segundo tempo não fez muito sentido. Esta é definitivamente, uma série que mereceria um remake com mais episódios e mais tempo para aprofundar todas as questões que ficaram sem resposta. Mesmo assim, merece um 10 por ser um enredo intrigante e único que não se vê todos os dias.

É um mini drama de quatro episódios de vinte minutos cada, ótimo para assistir para passar o tempo. Confesso que esperava uma abordagem diferente enquanto lia a sinopse, senti falta de mais profundidade, porém não digo que não gostei apesar de achar a introdução estranha e ter a sensação de que é incompleta, ainda bem que mais para frente é explicado.

Acho que os maiores problemas são a duração e a quantidade de episódios. Ou ele tinha que ter mais episódios ou a mesma quantidade, mas com um tempo maior, a falta do dois não ficou legal.

Porém, não nego o quanto o casal principal tem química, mas mesmo assim parecem sem jeito, não acho ruim, nesse caso funcionou bem nessa narrativa, porém o espaçamento deles nas cenas de sexo me incomodou um pouco, não sei se faz sentido, mas talvez isso melhore com a segunda temporada.

Drama com uma excelente temática mal aproveitada

Esse drama despertou em mim diferentes sentimentos. Confesso que só entendi realmente ele quando o assisti pela terceira vez. Existem muitos aspectos positivos e negativos, mas ao meu ver, o maia problemático de tudo é a quantidade de furos no roteiro.
A forma como Zheng Yu Shi/Noah foi parar na casa de Wu Zheng foi muito sem lógica pra mim, e mesmo a explicação que foi dada depois não me convenceu... Wu Zheng já tinha percebido a presença constante de Zheng Yu Shi/Noah, imaginava até que ele o estivesse seguindo, e uma noite o viu passar mal. Indo até a sua casa ele viu que ninguém além do próprio Noah morava lá, e o levou pra sua própria casa pra cuidar dele. Ele entendeu que Noah não o estava seguindo, apenas morava próximo e faziam o mesmo caminho, até aqui tudo ok. Mais à frente é mostrado o que aconteceu com Noah na infância, que acarretou no transtorno de personalidade que ele sofre, mas nada mais sobre a vida dele é explicado! Claro que sua vida anterior não é o tópico mais importante, mas onde está sua família? como ele se virou na vida até agora? O que ele faz da vida, pois aparentemente ele não tem emprego nem dinheiro, então como vive? Outra interrogação pra mim é sobre o sexo. Quando eles se conheceram, Wu Zheng conheceu Noah, Zheng Yu Shi, como era a personalidade de defesa só surgiu depois do flagra da garota. Mais à frente foi explicado que a personalidade de Noah, psicologicamente falando, só tinha cinco anos! Não é que eu queira militar em cima disso, até pq cronologicamente ele era adulto, mas a mentalidade de cinco anos transa daquele jeito? Inclusive guardando traumas de estupro? Pra mim faltou cuidado na elaboração do personagem.

Sobre Wu Zheng, entendemos seu passado, mas seu presente também é obscuro. Seu emprego, de que ele vive...

Vamos ao próximo furo: um casal secundário que brotou literalmente do nada! Não teve explicação sobre o passado, apenas ficou claro que já existiu um relacionamento no passado e nada mais, também não houve desenvolvimento para o relacionamento presente.

Achei linda a reação do vovô, que agiu sem preconceitos, inclusive tratando o relacionamento da mesma forma que um relacionamento hétero.

A fotografia da série é impecável, principalmente no ep especial "Not that innocent", que apesar de eu não ter gostado, não ter feito nenhum sentido pra mim pois parecia algo como um sonho, um delírio, algo que nem foi explicado, mas a fotografia estava perfeita, e junto com a ost então, foi a única coisa que prestou no ep especial.

Em resumo, a história é interessante, fora do lugar comum, o que realmente não foi legal foi o roteiro. Uma temática dessa trabalhada em 4 episódios curtíssimos não tem como funcionar direito (falo 4 pq o especial pra mim nem conta). Acho que o casal principal tinha muita química, gostei do fato de serem interpretados por atores maduros ao invés de homens com rosto de adolescente, gostei das cenas quentes. Não gostei do segundo casal, inclusive achei meio tóxica a forma como Jun Zhe tratou o paciente de seu namorado por ciúmes. Não pretendo assistir de novo, mas recomendo a série, pois como eu já disse, tem muitos pontos positivos.

Interesting plot but insufficient development

The story itself is an honourable effort put up to try a different storyline that talks about dissociative identity disorder that is not well-known (revolving around the topic of mental health).

The storyline did cover some elements about the main role seeking help about this mental issues which I think is quite assuring, however the portrayal of the dissociative identity disorder is somewhat lacking.

At the start, the story did distinguish the two different personalities of Noah and Yu Shi through the different reactions when interacting with the other main lead. However, towards the end, it became hard to identify whether the main lead is Noah and Yu Shi, as the phasing out between Noah and Yu Shi is unclear and not well portrayed. The transition between the different personalities could be done in a clearer and distinguishable way.

The story did add in some flashback to fill in the gap on what happened, however whilst the flashback is somewhat short, the flashback and reality is not well differentiated and this makes it hard for me to catch up on the story development.

The bed or kiss scenes between the main lead also seems to happen randomly and does not go well with the flow of the story.

That said, if you wish to watch this series, watch it at your own discretion.

Short but Well Told

I'm still not the best at writing reviews but I loved this little drama so much I decided to write one anyway..

This drama might have been short but they weren't "short" of anything in it.
The cast was perfectly chosen with the leads having chemistry that set my little soul on fire. Sometimes when things are short they tend to be lacking somewhere or another, but that wasn't the case with this BL. They managed to tell an amazing story, create in depth/precious characters and build tension within 4 short episodes.
Even the music was pretty and fit perfectly within the scenes.

I would recommend this short little BL to anyone who loves a drama that will make you feel every emotion within a short amount of time. You will not regret it.
