My Name is Mary Sue

Revenge dramas are such cliche that if you've seen one you've very likely seen all of them. Let me just list some of cliches appearing in this drama:

Main character has love/hate relationship with the relative who gets killed. Main character goes "I hate you! I wish you were dead!", but 5 min later, when the relative actually gets killed, main character goes "Nooooo, I want revenge! I want to kill [whoever made my wish come true]". That's a bad writing and handicaps the main character from the very start cause that isn't characterization. That's just drama for the sake of drama.

Main character puts the trust in the person most likely to have killed the relative, since that person was the closest to the deceased. I figured out the killer in the first 10-15 min and Google + My Name + Ending Explained revealed that I was right.

The killer never does the most logical thing - kill the main character since she's seen him even in disguise - but decides to train her to be tough, thinking that will mislead the main character, but also because main character is special. At the end of the day, it all boils down to character being special especially in female revenge fantasies.

They form a surrogate parent/child relationship which goes to hell once she falls in love with a nice beta orbiter that works for the good guys. (I spoiled myself just to see if I was right in this prediction and yep I was!)

Main character wins competitions with very little training because her new patron saint and father figure tells her to attack vital points instead of relying on physical strength that she doesn't have. As if, you know, other fighters with many years of experience don't know about that. :eyeroll:

Main character is always special be it the only girl among men (such as in this drama), or the youngest and least experienced new member among older and much more experienced (also the case in this drama). As you can expect from a special character, she excels at everything, earns everyone's respect by the sheer power of her specialness, or characters simply start liking her because , you guessed it, she's special. All the while, her acting is either po-faced "steeliness" or histrionics. No middle ground.

Since I was this close to punching the screen every time Mary Sue was on it, I decided the best course of action was to simply drop this drama or otherwise would have to buy a new set.

Muito bom

Amei o dorama. Ele tem uma história um núcleo a ser seguido pela protagonista e acontece, sem enrolação, até se concluir. Muita ação envolvida e a personagem é bem explorada. Além de linda e o fato de me lembrar a Ryujin do Itzy. No geral um drama bom de assistir que vale a pena. Tem uma cena que pra mim, achei desnecessária a morte de um personagem, achei fraca e mal explorada ainda mais por se tratar de um personagem "importante" e ele vivo seria mais interessante. Quiseram deixar algo impactante no momento mas achei desperdício. Fora isso é um drama muito bem feito.

Muito bom

Eu adorei o drama, de ação e rapidinho. Eu amei a atuação da so hee e do bo hyun. Eu realmente não esperei que ele fosse morrer, cogitei que ele fosse morrer pra salvar ela, mas o mujin matar ele e na frente dela fez com que a pessoa que ele acabou criando ressurgisse de novo, por um momento o pildo fez com que ela pensasse com mais clareza, mas aí a partir de quando ele morre ela só tem uma coisa na cabeça, a vingança. Sempre foi isso e teria que acabar sendo isso, ela matando ele. Eu só não gostei do finalzinho, porque ela não tinha ninguém e estava toda machucada, como ela se salvou? E o que será que ela estava fazendo, limpou o nome e continuou na polícia?
Mas parabéns ao roteirista e a equipe, a trama do drama é ótima e você se prende muito na história dela.

I really liked the show

This isn't going to be a long review but anyone thinking of watching it do it! I really liked the drama. I found it really interesting bcuz you could see how Jiwoo was fighting everyday and giving her upmost all to get to her goal. While doing that she kinda loses herself and like she says is ready to do anything and everything. I really like how there were people who helped her grow and open up:) What really surprised me though is the ending as someone who was watched countless dramas, I'm aware that there aren't many non happy rainbow and sunshine endings, so the ending caught me a little off guard (very). I really look forward to the continuation of the show . If there is one cuz to me the ending was kinda satisfying, like I said there aren't a lot of non atleast a little happy endings in dramas so i thought it was very refreshing and im a sucker for sad stuff:)

HAN SO HEE wasn't even informed but director assume that she would do it because she is that kind of woman FOR them, because she has done proactive roles.
Director and ML just wanted to see her topless that's all.

Giho takes forever to die and did not die even after that many stabs, i find this 5ft guy more stonger then THE UNDERTAKER of WWE

ML has selective hearing ability during the fight with rapist guy he only hear whatever favours FL and miss everything that reveals her identity why because he wanted to screw her in the end...

ML Was introduced as asshole who look down on women but suddenly there is his dead sister
He was acting like he was born out of a man's anus
But because he is ML we need to ignore him looking down on FL
FL Is good fighter when it come to fight anyone but she is weak and lose everytime she confront ML why because director wanted to protect MLs cheap Pride that he can't be defeated by a woman he look down on.

MDL high rating Is 🐂 shit
FL why she is taking revenge for a father who never tell her his own name ?
A man who make her live like a criminal her whole life and Destroyed her youth, she spent her another 5 year between criminal to take revenge for that guy ?
It was story of FL but director can't resist himself from sucking to ML

Nobody feel a shit when he got a hole in his head

Why rapist guy left FL to die with ML
I would have kept her with me to rape anytime i want or shoot her in head, if i am that pscho.
Why he don't rape her after he catch her because ML wasn't ready to protect her that time so villian did not thought of raping her... How good is bad guy

Mujin could have shoot both of them but he choose to shoot only ML because dude is poor to afford another bullet, he wanted to provoke FL for final fight which he wasn't able to fight because all he wanted was to die

I give it 6.5 because it was good when you watch it for first time you will believe everything the told you but if you rewatch it then half of things would look NONsense

Mujin Was framed for a murder that was done by FL and nobody no soul objected like whole police department was ON IT.
FL wasn't even question after murder why she shoot ?

Mi ha rubato il sonno.

Finito in due serate.
Divorato.
Mi è piaciuto tantissimo.
La storia mi tocca ammettere che è proprio un cliché del genere thriller, ma è stata sviluppata davvero bene.
Abbiamo una ragazza che è disposta a tutto per vendicare la morte del padre, anche scendere a patti con il diavolo. Ragazza interpretata da un'attrice già amata in Nevertheless che qui da il suo massimo. Anche gli altri personaggi sono davvero ben costruiti e fuorvianti, ottimi per creare quel punto di domanda che ti porta a chiederti se una cosa sia davvero in quel modo e come decideranno di agire. Lo svolgimento della storia mi ha rapito, volevo sapere sempre di più. La musica è incalzante e si sposa a pennello con ogni scena. Il finale anche mi è piaciuto, abbastanza tipico.
Unica nota negativa: troppo breve.
Per me avrebbe dovuto essere di almeno due episodi in più, per dare il giusto spazio a tutto e riuscire ancora meglio nel suo intento quasi finale e per far funzionare meglio "quella cosa". Per il resto non ho nulla da ridire. Ottimo.
