Both the souls of General ZSC and CSY connected because she was able to deeply feel the pain to her core, with each twist and turn of knife during the deboning of General ZSC.

The build up of the sad ending for General ZSC from his last bloody message to CSY, where even at his last moment he tried to keep his promise to her and her memories accompany him during his last moments. The gruesome hatred of the Emperor to debone General ZSC because of his beautiful bones.
