I couldn’t stop watching
This is one of my favourite drama. I don't watch just anything because I am a picking person, but this is drama is worth watching.I was very excited for this drama of course because Ji sung l trust his acting skills😁The first 6 episodes was very good.I couldn't stop watching episode after episode but after episode 6 the event is start became slowly, but the events keep get interesting more and more without feeling boring. I didn't like the last episode at least we can say it's a happy ending l mean when l watch the last episodes l start thinking that the drama will be sad ending but there was events doesn't make any sense. There was alot of bold topics that show the extent of human ugliness and greed and l loved that because these things are exist in reality.Ji sung was perfect for this role he doesn't need me to say anything about his acting skills.Park jin-young was good but there was scenes l didn't convinced or impressed when l should. Kim min-jung was very good as villain at the beginning she was irritating but with the time l start loving her😁I also love the relationship between Go on and Soo Hyun. The music and the OST's was Great and l keep listening to them. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND 👊👊

Leas actors carried the show
Honestly, veteran ML Ji Sung and Kim Min Jung are the powerhouses of this show. Their chemistry and cat and mouse game is palpable with tension of love/hate. I LOVED their morally ambiguous characters, it was a fresh take to the other drama tropes out there. Id seen Kim Min Jung in Mr Sunshine but WOW i think she deserves an award for her portrayal of Chairwoman Jung. Its not an easy role to play with her complex and sometimes contradictory emotions and i think Kim Min Jung portrayed it to a tee. The show could not have done without either actor. Jinyoung did a good job but he's nowhere at the level of these 2 veterans though... maybe with time and experience he'll get there. The story is fast paced and keeps you on your toes. It's set in a dystopian theme so bear thay in mind when watching and dont expect everything to be super realistic. Overall a great show with superb acting, cinematography, OST and satisfying plot.Considerați utilă această recenzie?

Highly recommended
A beautiful drama with great great cast, i am already a fan of ji sung, i have watched all his dramas so how can i skip this one..Well the storyline is strong, every episode is full of enthusiasm and excitement. This drama has not only strong heros but also strong villains.
The only thing i dont like is the character of police female lead i dont remember her name, she should act like a police officer and not a teenage girl, she is always available for her lover without any planning, equipments or other staff..
The actor who is playing the character of Ga On is great but the character is not that strong, anyone can easily manipulate him..
I am angry on him because he left yo han in epi 12 and in 14 he came back to help yo han (judge) and again he is leaving him on minor reasons, he never think about others, he never used his brain. The game of winning by politicians needs a brain and not emotions hah.

I was skeptical - Initially
I was right. This is not a great drama. I watched a few episodes thinking it will get better as the series went on. Unfortunately the series was becoming worse and worse. So I had to stop. The review has have 500 characters in length. No sure why? There is nothing to write about this show. There is nothing more to write about this show. There is nothing to write about this show. A GRIPPING LEGAL THRILLER THAT KEEPS YOU HOOKED UNTIL THE VERY END!
"The Devil Judge" is a gripping Korean drama that seamlessly blends elements of suspense, thriller, and legal drama into a captivating storyline. Set in a dystopian society where the judiciary system is corrupted, the drama follows the journey of Judge Kang Yo-Han, played by Ji Sung, who dispenses justice in an unconventional manner as he presides over a live courtroom show called "Devil's Court."One of the most compelling aspects of the drama is its exploration of moral ambiguity and the complexities of the legal system. Judge Kang Yo-Han operates in a gray area, often resorting to unorthodox methods to expose the truth and deliver justice. His character is shrouded in mystery, with his true motives and past gradually unveiled throughout the series, keeping viewers on the edge of their seats.
The ensemble cast delivers stellar performances, with each character adding depth and nuance to the narrative. Kim Min-Jung shines as Jung Sun-A, a passionate prosecutor with a personal vendetta against Judge Kang Yo-Han, while Park Jin-Young impresses as Kim Ga-On, a righteous and idealistic judge who finds himself entangled in the web of deceit and corruption.
The pacing of the drama is expertly executed, with each episode ending on a cliffhanger that leaves viewers eagerly anticipating the next installment. The intricate plot twists and turns keep the audience guessing until the very end, making "The Devil Judge" a truly addictive viewing experience.
Furthermore, the production values of the drama are top-notch, with sleek cinematography, stylish direction, and a haunting soundtrack that heighten the tension and atmosphere.
Overall, "The Devil Judge" is a must-watch for fans of legal dramas and thrillers alike. Its thought-provoking themes, compelling characters, and suspenseful plot make it a standout entry in the genre, solidifying its place as one of the most memorable Korean dramas of recent years.

It Couldn't Have Been Better
The drama could have the better.Kang To Han's motive for wanting to bring the elites down wasn't strong enough. His niece was the cause of the fire not them. It was more like a transfer of aggression. What made more sense was the tenacity at which he went after the Minister.
The drama could have been one of both, the revenge for both the men who had something against the elites/system or the uncovering the reason behind the never ending plague and the dream project.
Also, the drama lacked the emotional connection for the characters. As there was too much going on, paying attention to the romance was almost impossible. Plus, it was so unnecessary for the police officer to die and also faking the death of Kang Yo Han twice was an overstretch.
All in all, the actors were amazing, they made the drama what it is.
I do think the drama if well written would be a gem.

Not what I expected out of a courtroom ish drama
Truthfully I'm not exactly sure what I expected but it wasn't this. Maybe it's the high of finishing two wholesome dramas that I really liked back to back (Doom at your service and Mad for each other) and going from wholesome to intense probably wasn't the best move so maybe I might pick this up again. Regardless I found myself forcing myself to watch an episode. I think this story is objectively good and I would recommend it's just not for me.I think the acting is good, court room scences are absolutely amazing and make up for everything else I found lacking. ie. the whole back and forth with the two hero leads where one is like "is he good, corrupt, etc" that plotline was boring. I also couldn't stand the ominous of Yo-han past with Ga-on, only three episodes in so it makes sense as to why it's not being explained yet but still it bothers me because it seems like it's going to be a major plot point but I jut find myself annyoed.
Overall, decent drama just not for me
