Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol (2020)

I just finished it few minutes ago but I'm disapointed a lot.
The last episode totally ruined the whole series. If the writer chose to leave Jun dead it would be much better, it's not that I didn't like him, it's just that it's not real at all. The actors did a great job so that makes me even more mad.
When I finally reconciled the fact that he's ill and that he will propably die, they ended it with Jun being a total jerk and making his mother tell Ra-Ra that he's dead and then come after 5 years back to her and tell her that he's healthy now and that basically he was faking his death for 5 years!? I loved this drama at the beginning but it took a half an episode to completly change my mind. But I don't want to be just critical and I want to say that the OST was nice and the actors were great. It's really a shame, I think it would be better either without his illnes or if it would be needed than the sad ending wouldn't actually be that bad but I'm really disapointed because I had high expectations. If you still want to watch it I recommend to watch it just till ep 15.

Great casting and cute story but terrible, disappointing ending

Honestly i really loved watching this drama, I remember watching it every Wednesday while it was airing... I'm always happy when they normalise nunna relationships as well!



But dang those last like what? 20 mins? ruined the whole thing lol i dont know what they were thinking?! I honestly just kinda erase that part from my memories which is why the overall rating i put isn't that bad.
The fact that he faked his own death??? To avoid truly breaking up with her and hurting her? That's the stupidest thing it makes me so mad. The entire storyline was so cute and the actors were so adorable too and I loved the piano theme and the soundtrack and the dynamics between the characters etc. I was truly disappointed when they ruined the ending this way. Sure they end up together but it's not even satisfying.

I wouldn't ever be able to rewatch this knowing the dumb ending, although I don't regret watching it in the first place because as I said, it's really only the last part of the last episode that's ridiculous.

Bad ending to a good series

Big fan of GoAhRa, she plays her role pretty well in anything thrown at her. You are surrounded, Hwarang all good series to watch.
I have no complaints with her acting in this as well. A go easy stupid girl starts learning about the world.
Lee was also pretty good hilarious how even I was surprised by his roles age. He played character to the sleeve showing the kind of childish love but a mature exterior in the worldly things.
The support cast was brilliantly fit into the main story without them the story would not come along. It was very pleasant to watch till episode 14. It has the comedy, suspense, and love requires for the series. Till the big bomb dropped.

But even then it was pretty good the ML is written off as dead in episode 15 by the mother. But the nonsense was the climax the last 2 mins of the episode 16. I was ok with him dying also and that the FL was living with his love and memories etc.

Then he comes back from the dead what ??!!!
They should have either let him be dead or changed the way the conversation went between the mother and FL in episode 15 or atleast the reduced the time forward in episode 16. 5 F yrs, are you crazy who would believe that a guy u loved and mourned for 5yrs comes back from the dead.

Crazy stuff, my suggestion end the series 2 mins before the climax of episode 16 and u will go home with a satisfied series, though a sad ending but u will not lose the love u had for it for 16 episodes u watched

Sweet story

I enjoyed this drama. I love Go Ah Ra, she’s one of my favorite actresses, and this was a perfect role for her. Lee Jae Wook is a new favorite for me. I loved him in Extraordinary You, I was happy to see him in a lead roll. Jun and RaRa had great chemistry, I thought. The mystery behind DoDoSolSolLaLaSol was fun to try and figure out. The rest of the cast were endearing and it was fun to follow their story lines. Some people had issues with the age difference between the leads, not that it was that big of a gap, but he was still in HS. When you fall in love with someone, you don’t think “oh, I’m not old enough to fall in love with her yet.” I thought their maturity levels matched well, he was younger but acted older and she was older but seemed younger.

I don’t tend to over analyze kdramas, I watch for the entertainment factor, so I can’t tell if there were plot holes or anything like that. I was entertained by this drama and looked forward to it every week. I thought the ending was a tad wonky, but it was a happy one, so I was satisfied.

If you looking for a fluffy filler, this would be a cute drama to watch.

A very good drama that had a disappointing ending ?

I really enjoyed watching this drama. The cast was amazing in my opinion, the main leads and the supporting roles were all fantastic. There was a point where I thought that this was gonna be one of the best dramas of all time but towards the ending I felt like there were too many unnecessary things happening and the last episode completely let me down. I would not say it was a sad ending and I hate sad ending as they make my heart cry for days but maybe a sad ending would have been a better option for this drama. It’s overall a very good drama that you’ll enjoy, apart from the ending🥰

RED FLAG

First half was okay. Second Half, I honestly don't know what happened.

Not the biggest fan of Go Ara's acting. I honestly watched this because of Lee Jaewook and I needed a light drama to watch. At first, I was really hooked into the drama. I kept on looking forward to the next episode but some where, some how, it started making me lose interest.

The biggest disappointment here is actually the ending, the last few minutes of it to be exact. Like, who the heck pretends to be dead for 5 years? making all his loved ones suffer and grieve. That right there is a HUGE red flag. It's just mental plain mental torture.

I must admit, the beginning was really cute and entertaining but as the show went on the plot started getting sloppier and sloppier.

Plenty of other shows

It seems like it has some good things going for it, but in the end it's as if all the cliches in dramaland were thrown in a blender and pasted together in the most unnatural way. The disappearing act is a bad enough cliche...but never has it been done as poorly here (and it usually is done poorly). The dude literally acts like it's no big deal and entirely logical. Leads didn't seem well matched but at least it has Ye Ji Won who always seems to elevate her roles. The best way to watch it is to make a game out of it. When ever something is about to happen see who can guess it beforehand. Hint...just think of something tired and ridiculous and that probably is what will happen.

My first short review - but sometimes you can't keep quiet

In Fact: I loved the chemistry between the leads. I laughed out loud in the first half of the drama and also shed a tear a few times. In short: the drama captured me completely. I loved almost every support character and I literally adored the ladies in the beauty salon. (Get a divorce! Yeah!) But the second half .... sigh. Then you start thinking about all the things that happened and put them together and this is what comes out:

Positive aspects:
great actors and great chemistry
my favourites: the ladies in the beauty salon - so irresistible

Story: WTH??
Everything bad that can happen does happen and even more.

In the second half of the drama, I felt completely lost and hopeless because, unfortunately, the script-writers took out any lightness between the leads and added one horrible thing after the other as if there were no tomorrow .

A lot of bad things happened in the first half too, but you were always compensated for it with Ra Ra's bright optimism and her influence on those around her (Put it on my bill! So cute.).

And at the end I thought: After all the mess, you only need around two minutes to sort things out and that in one run?
REALLY??? That even beats the drama Bride of the Century.

The good points in the overall rating above are really almost entirely dedicated to the actors.

i had too much hopes for this drama

when i first started to watch this drama, i really thought it's going to be a good one and i just had too much hopes for this. great acting and music, and great chemistry with a good plot but it's just too crappy at the end of the drama, with the main character getting a major health issues and sending him abroad to save the life and years going without communicating and lying about the male lead dying and suddenly appearing after 5 years. it just good too much going at the end and the drama had too much confusion in it . it was great story at the begging but the end was worst, just not a good ending .:((( i finished this a long time ago but i just never wanted to write a review until today. it's just a complete NO for this drama.
