Cang Lan Jue (2022)

Absolutely love it. Its been by far the best love story ive come across. I felt every emotion alongside the characters. When they loved, i loved, when they cried, i cried. Ive been on the edge of my seat from beginning to thus far. I cannot wait to see how it all ends, but at the same time im terrified to know. I am praying for love to conquer all in this. This is a series i will definitely watch again once all episodes are released. The leads were perfect, the support roles on spot. Though at times i wish they could see the truth staring at them in their faces, i understand its a work of fiction and portrays an era of magic and fantasy. Like i said, its an amazing series to watch. The roller-coaster of emotions that one goes through from beginning to end is absolutely worth it. Im not one to write reviews on movies or anything, but some are definitely worth the cause. Love between fairy and devil, was definitely worth it.

Drama fantasy wuxia per raccontare un amore immortale.

Un genere di drama che non conosco bene ma che mi piace e inizio ad amare sempre di più.Un wuxia fantasy tratto da un romanzo è rappresentato in drama è diventato un capolavoro.
Di questi drama non si può non amare l'ambientazione,i costumi e le musiche e in questo è tutto molto originale e bellissimo.
La storia di un amore tra una fata che riporta in vita il demone più potente ma che nonostante le diversità si innamorano di un amore così grande e potente che non potrà distringere nemmeno la morte.
Mi è piaciuta tantissimo la storia di per se oltre che al loro amore e credo che gli attori siano stati fantastici.Dylan Wang meraviglioso, con la capacità di interpretare un diavolo freddo e duro ma anche un innamorato dolce e premuroso e pure un imbranato.Lei dolce fatina proprio ma capace di una forza e un amore infinito.
Un po' deludente il finale ma comunque un happy ending.
Sembra lungo sono 36 puntate da circa 40 minuti ma veramente scorrevole che nemmeno te ne accorgi.
Lo consiglio se piace il genere ma anche se si vuole vedere qualcosa di diverso.

Not For Me But...

I'm dropping the series mostly because even up through episode 8, the action aspect of the plot never picked up pace. And personally really dislike the typical romance stories with overly innocent and useless women. What's worse is the rest of the other women so far have been portrayed as either being just as useless, full of drama, evil, and/or manipulative. This is very typical of the old-school ideal of Asian romance and couple portrayal. Poor woman/rich man, innocent and sweet woman/powerful and misunderstood man, attached with unrealistically cute voices that belong to girls who haven't gone through puberty.

But for those who love these types of sappy stories, I can see why this one is on the higher-rated end and would definitely recommend. Personally I was putting up with the heavy romance scenes for while hoping the action and backstories would pick up at some point but it's been a slow burn.

Found this show while looking for some Xian Xia dramas to watch, however stopped after 2 episodes.

Story: NA
Acting/Cast: Male lead's acting was somewhat bearable but not the female lead. Main problem I have with the female lead is her voice and the way how she acts. It's like she's trying to be cute, but it just isn't working and instead is extremely childish and annoying. Tried my best to continue with this showing while ignoring the acting from her but it was still unbearable.
Music: The songs from this show were the only thing that made me come back to it, especially Jue Ai. So overall, the only thing for me that was decent from this drama is the music.

Can’t stand it

The female lead character is acting like she’s 12 years old and he looks like he’s 15. I prefer the series with more mature actors instead. I can’t even finish the first episode, she’s so annoying. I’m not sure why they like having so many immature characters in their stories. Series like Novoland Pearl Eclipse, Love and Destiny, Lost Love in Times, Eternal Love and Eternal Love of Dream, Miss S are so much more interesting.

I really hope to see more series with mature actors. Chang Chen, William Chan, Vengo Gao, Ni Ni, Yang Mi, Liu Shi Shi, Ma Yi Li are amongst my favorite actors/actresses.

Yet another low mark for Dylan Wang

My last review of a Dylan Wang series upset DW fans but as someone else here pointed out, they generally have a low bar so he gets high marks.

This time I managed more than 8 episodes before giving up, I managed 9. The man simply cannot act. His fan club love his Girly Boy looks but seem blind to his lack of acting ability. It is obvious very early on that this will be a dragged out CGI series. The plot is thin and there are side plots that have no reference to the main story line.

This is just a series for the sake of giving Dylan Wang something to do. Yu Shu Xin was excellent in her role as Orchid and she managed to act the part despite the problem of a male lead who could not. Xu Hai Qiao would have made a much better Dongfang but still gave an excellent performance as Rong Hao.

Yet another Dylan Wang series to be avoided as you will never get back the time you wasted watching it.

Disgusting Shit.

What I liked:
- Nothing. At. All.

What I didn’t like:
- The female lead is insufferable. Her voice is squeaky and she sounds awful. I don’t know if it’s her dubbed voice or her real voice but it’s awful on the ears. I wanted to watch ‘Moonlight’ drama starring Ding Yu Xi as I like this dude but gosh, she was a dealbreaker in ‘Moonlight’ too. Same reason. High-pitched voice and poor, stiff acting.
- I understand that this drama is a fantasy kind and such but the costumes were hideous and ridiculous-looking. There was a man (who looked trans) wearing some horn or coral thing on his head. It was an eyesore! The rest of the costumes didn’t look that pleasing either.
- The male lead came later on in the first episode and so, I can’t say much about him. I haven’t watched anything with him in it yet though I know that he’s famous.

All in all, I tried my best to sit through one episode to be fair to it and give it a chance but it is a NO. NO WAY. Not wasting precious drama time on rubbish.

Perhaps other viewers may like this drama but it’s not for me and To Each His or Her Own.

I guess this drama did not work out for me.
