So it has been a while since I watched a drama that was so well written and so well executed. The acting was amazing. Every single actor and actress did a fantastic job. I became a fan of all of them which is usually rare for me. The story was new and interesting. Dramas tend to be somewhat predictable but this one was not. Everytime I thought it was going to go one way it did something differently. I named it goblin adjacent because it probably ruined me for any other dramas right now. I just finished season 2 but I almost feel like I should rewatch it already because it was that good.

Um clássico!

Achei a história muito bem elaborada. Você encontra de tudo na medida, sem nada ficar em excesso. Temos ação, drama, romance, comédia.

Todos os personagens são bem desenvolvidos, e quando você vê acaba se apaixonando por mais de um. Até fiquei com pena quando a Nak Su ia rejeitado eles, kkkk.

Foi a primeira vez que assistia algo com o Lee Jae Wook, e foi amor a primeira vista, kkk sua atuação foi impecável, fazendo com que eu ficasse ainda mais pressa na história. Quanto a Jung So Min, senti que faltava algo, para mim ela não mudava a expressão, o que as vezes me deixava agoniada.

No mais, fiquei totalmente rendida a alquimia das almas, e arrependida de não tê-la assistido antes.

La serie coreana Alchemy of Souls è ambientata in un regno fantastico.

Un giovane aspirante mago non riesce a trovare qualcuno che gli insegni la magia. Finché non stringe un patto con una leggendaria strega che ha trasmigrato la propria anima nel corpo di una popolana. Il titolo Alchemy of Souls (traduzione: alchimia delle anime) fa riferimento a un incantesimo oscuro, potente e pericoloso, che permette a un’anima di trasmigrare nel corpo di un’altra persona.
Ma secondo me allude anche a un’altra alchimia, un’alchimia buona: quella che si crea tra le anime dei due protagonisti.
Lui, che insiste a voler raggiungere il suo obiettivo senza arrendersi, nonostante ostacoli non da poco, e solo così riesce a comporre tutti i pezzi del suo destino. E lei irresistibile, intraprendente: affronta ogni situazione in modo diretto e con coraggio, senza mai perdere la centratura e, al contempo, senza perdersi il contesto.
Come le loro anime si facciano vicine l’una all’altra, come interagiscano, senza schiacciarsi o scacciarsi a vicenda, ma al contrario dando vita a qualcosa di importante insieme, ricorda certe magie che talvolta accadono tra le persone nella vita vera.

Terminei recentemente, um dorama de fantasia otimo, parece até ser baseado em dorama wuxia chinês(tipo the untamed, word of honor), muito bom pois em todo episódio tem cenas de ação, personagens com super poderes (eu amooo), lutas épicas, e claro uns romances clichês tbm ?
Elenco de milhões, vários atores bons de outros doramas, como all of us are dead/estamos todos mortos, live on/dependendo, the uncanny caunter/caçadoresde demônios
Não achei o casal principal com tanta química, mas como esse não é o foco principal do dorama então da de relevar.
espero ansiosamente pela segunda temporada

I loved Hwang Min Hyun but this wasn't for me.

I debated when this ended on saying a little of what I thought about it and it took me a while to come back and write this much. I had watched this to the end but by the time it was over I wanted to roll my eyes.
The female and male lead annoyed me and when it came down to it their acting sucked.
I only stuck this out because of Hwang Min Hyun. This drama started out great but I liked nothing
it seemed by the third ep.
The supposed love and their so called love story between the leads wasn't there for me was falling flat as a dry pancake as the eps went on.
I know others felt/feel differently and liked/loved this but I just didn't/don't and could see no romantic chemistry between the two leads and them supposedly supposing to have feelings for each other just wasn't coming through for me and it was just awful to have to watch. When the second half of the show had started I managed to get through the first ep of the and wasn't going to waste my time watching more. It only served to piss me off more because I had wasted my time watching the first half and hated it.

Could’ve been soo much more!!

Once i drop a kdrama, i never go back to it. I watched 2 episodes of alchemy of souls last year and then dropped it. The story looked like a typical superhero movie where the main character possesses special abilities. Not that there is anything wrong with it but I have watched this plot a hundred times in western movies/tv shows, and it bores me now.

I was still curious as to why this drama is soo popular. So i gave it another try and this time i felt connection with the female lead. I was interested in her journey as an assassin who lost her powers. I figured that she will fall in love with the guy with special abilities but i still wanted to know how she will navigate her journey in a new body. But all i got was her being a tool to help the male lead in his endeavours and that was it. We didn’t got to see the exceptional shadow assassin in action. No display of her powers and abilities till the end. Her story could’ve been soo much more than just being a love interest of the male lead. If this show was just a romcom with little backdrop of magic then I would’ve been okay with it but we are introduced to a new world of alchemy of souls, all just for a romance story!!

The male lead was way too lucky every time and I wasn’t very fond of him as his character lacked the effort and hard work required or worthy of all the power he came to possess. Meanwhile FL was pushed back in the corner to cheer for him.

The curse of 2nd lead strike again. Seo yul known to be the 1st among his fellow mages to achieve high level magic skills yet he was caught up in one sided feelings and did nothing the entire season. He was adorable but his character plays little to no part in the story. Did him knowing the real identity of mudok changed anything at all ? No
Even in the last episode when mudok run wild,I thought he will do something now but no, nothing at all!! Crown prince emerged as a character better than my expectations. I liked his presence in the show yet he also didn’t had much to add in the main story. There are some characters that were the soul of the drama like Master Lee, Park Jin and maid servant Kim. Jin family’s relics were soo fascinating, they can make an entire show on the Jin family’s relics. Lady Jin was a such an badass lady, really liked her.

Overall I will praise the writers for introducing us to a new world of mages. It was very creative yet characters had much more potential than what we got from them.

Very rewatchable show

Strange title but the preview was humorous. So glad I started watching it. Now rewatching my fav episodes while waiting for the extension 4 episodes. The chemistry between the whole cast is so endearing. Good friends, enemy turned almost friends, adults getting the reverse results trying to protect their kids. Just wish the storyline moved forward in a direct fashion more. They always start with the climax and then show the ‘backstory’ even if the backstory took place the day before. So it’s like watching forwards and backwards forwards and backwards. For the main plot it makes sense. But they do it for even small events like Uk catching the Golden Fish. And I wish Uk fight scenes were longer. After all the angst training etc the fight scenes which usually show his improvements are so short. Blink of an eye and it’s over. Especially the 10 fight with Yul. I loved it though too short.

This is the best historical movie so far in 2022, i love the suspense, the way the male leads behaves and the female lead is the right person for the role, i love everything about the movie. All the actors are doing really great, all the 8 episodes so far are actually nice and worth rewatching.
From episode 1 - episodes 8, there havent been any dull moment. I love the love chemistry between the male lead and the female lead. The fact is that they cant do without each other.
Practically going by the tale, just wondering why the queen has to be the head of the soul shifters.
