Go Ahead (2020)

Same screenwriter, so if this drama knew how to tug on your heartstrings, then Go Ahead will do the same. Both dramas are incredibly cinematic and artful
- Male lead in TDOBY is the Second male lead in Go Ahead
- Aside from Jiang Yi in TDOBY—the Manager, Jiang Mo, Tong Hua, JY's mom, Young JY were also in Go Ahead
- Both storylines deal with healing from broken families

In both dramas the genre is life and in both, the story mainly focuess on children-parents relation.

ML and FL have different parents but grew up like brother and sister. Also deals with family relations. ML and FL later on fell in love.

- ML and FL have a sibling-like relationship;
- ML and FL develop romantic feelings towards each other;
- ML and FL have been separated for some time;
- Not a typical family model
Go Ahead is a much better project of course.

Both explore what it means to be a family and explores sibling relationships, abandonment, and mental health issues.

The plot is very similar: non-blood-related siblings falls in love growing up. But Go Ahead is way better because it's not only about the romance, but the whole family plot.

Both dramas are heavy and emotional which focuses on family relationships. Go Ahead has more comedic and romantic sides while Beautiful World has mystery and school stuff.

A trio of unrelated young people, each with emotional wounds, become a family and help each other heal. The story deals with themes of abuse, parental death, and a love story between two of the three.

Both are heartwarming stories. And you will definitely love the childhood part in both of these shows

If "Go Ahead" talked about how to develop family, then "My Mr. Mermaid" talked about to develop dream. When you have to hold what you are dreaming of. And you cannot lose hope for your dream and your love.

Both have emotional moments where you will cry when family reunites. A mother also leaves the family to pursue her own happiness but also returns to the family to gain acceptance from the son she abandoned.

The stories and styles are not the same, but I feel like if you like Our Blues, you may also like Go Ahead. Both address the complex emotional baggage that comes with family or lack of.

Go Ahead focuses more on the romance though and there are clear leads, but both are well done family dramas.

One is M/F and the other BL but both have the theme of three kids (two boys and a girl) forming a family. Later on, one of the "siblings" falls in love with another, but the other "sibling" is initially uncomfortable with it.

The main characters have deep emotional wounds and trauma and start to heal with each other's help. There's also a scene where ML clings to/hugs FL that reminds me so much of a similar scene in the other drama. Both feature happy endings after much suffering and heartbreak.
