How to smash good potential against the wall
- At the beginning of the show everything was on point; the chemistry was awesome, the story line was funny and without unnecessary drama. It was something new that I hadn't seen before without any cliché or rushed processes. - But at the time they began to realize their behavior is not faked and they started their so called relationship the show kinda smashed the potential against the wall. - They did not only had no real character development nor "couple behavior", I mean i don't necessarily need kisses or stuff like that (I think a show like Soutus is the best example to show that it's possible) but WHY did it felt like they made a step backe? They initial chemistry while they pretended to be a couple was amazing but after that it seemed they became brothers or something like that. -Of course they had their sweet moments but it could have been 1000 times better if they had continued where they stopped while "faking". -To conclude I would say the show is not bad, especially the first episodes are really good and funny, but its sad to see how such a good potential was not used and bc of that I'm somehow disappointed.Considerați utilă această recenzie?

Disclaimer: This is my opinion about the series. Also, I tried not to include spoilers however, I do mention what happens at the end of the series.I loved 2gether the series at the beginning. I really thought that this will be one of my fav BL series ever. However, towards the climax the actors and storyline turned to a living disaster.
There are several reasons as to why this series fell short however, I will only mention 3 major reasons:
1. Tine falling in love with Sarawat.
While it did start sweet they did rush Tine coming to terms about falling for another man while being straight. And also, Tine never initiates intimacy nor romantic stuff couples usually do and Sarawat was the only one who did. The reason as to why this was disappointing was because I thought they were both alpha males in the relationship. I thought the stereotypical roles you usually see in the BL series wouldn't apply here such as in Addicted. Honestly, I wanted more from the producer and director. I wanted them to show why Tine was slow in the romantic aspect with Sarawat, I wanted to know more about Tine's emotions and struggle with finding out that you fell in love with the same sex.
2. Chemistry.
The chemistry was good in the first few episodes. The series at that time was oozing with sweetness. Whenever I saw the series I felt like I was eating cotton candy. However, after episode 9 the chemistry started to go downhill. I know everyone has a personal life and that may be the reason why the chemistry started going downhill, however, when you have a job at least look like you enjoy it. Now episode 9 was not the end for me. I thought that even though episode 10 was absolute crap, I thought episode 11 would turn the series around. However, when Sarawat was pouring his heart out to Tine and Tine did nothing?!? I thought that this is not worth it anymore. 11 hours wasted. However, I still decided to watch the last 2 episode and I regretted it dearly. And another thing, Tine had a problem with voicing out his emotions and sadly that was not captured well in this series.
3 The storyline
The storyline was honestly good in the beginning. However, I don't know who told the producer and directer that changing the storyline from the novel to that soap-drama we saw, was a good idea. They did not need to include Sarawat's ex in that way they did to have drama or a good show. Just watch Sotus the series if you want to know what I mean. It was really hard to watch the last two episodes and do you know what my reward was? Sarawat and Tine giving each other a high five at the end of ep 13!!!! I- What a disappointment.
However, one thing that did not disappoint was the music and the side actors. They were enjoyable to watch from the start to the end.
To conclude, the series was a damp squib. I will not rewatch it nor will I watch season 2 (if it comes out). I don't think anything can save this series unless the actors can build up their chemistry, and the production can stop making poor choices or stick to the novel to be safe. As other reviewers have already mentioned, this was indeed not a BL series more like an awkward story between strangers.

The first 9 episodes are amazing. Highly recommended. Watch up to that point and then make up your own satisfying ending. Because eps 10-13 are utter disappointment. Sarawat and Tine wind up being more like platonic roommates, who barely hug or show any closeness. You can drive a truck through them during most parts, they stand so far apart.
ManType is the only reason to watch eps 10-13. In the end, they demonstrate more closeness than the main couple.
MilPhukong is just toxic. Phukong needs to get out of that situation.
In the end, it’s a disappointment.
If it IS the case that Bright doesn’t want to do any more bl, I fully support that decision. He seemed uncomfortable with the scenes and he can’t really act.
Win is promising and I hope he finds satisfying roles in the future.

episodes 1-10: absolutely loved it, it was great I just couldn't stop rewatching it. The plot was fine, and the characters were well developed. I didn't really have any complaints. episodes 11-13: ON THE OTHER HAND, they really said f**k it and ruined the whole show. Once they got together they became more platonic, and it's not even about the lack of kissing (I have watched The Untamed idc about kissing), it's just just how they started behaving with each other. (Also, I don't really understand why they made them kiss twice when they were not even a couple and Tine didn't kiss back but afterwards they barely touch, god in episode 13 THEY HIGH FIVED I DIED).it's just that they somehow rushed into everything, like moving in together, and the plot and writing were lacking something. They brought in unnecessary drama when they could have just developed the side couples who deserved better. I just watched episode 13 and I was very disappointed, only Man and Type were great whereas everything else was quite underwhelming. Also, there were too many flashbacks.

I was shock when i found out that, This is Win (Tine) firts acting role, his scenes are the best of the show, he just seem like a pro, Bright (Sarawat) acting is just natural, you would even tell he isn't acting, it seems effortless. But is no only the two main character with great acting skills, Scenes including Tine's friends are comedy gold, and some of them may make you cry (thanks Fong aka "the voice of the reason"),
Its difficult to find a BL when there is no girl trying to destroy the boys love, actually i fall in love with Pear, i dont make me talk about Air (Nene) perfectness everytime she is on the sceen
To conclude, What makes 2gether one of the greatest BL out there? Well, the Amazing acting, the very realistic way the main characters seem to love eachother, The girls (did i talk you about how bad i love Air?), the boy gang, the comedy, you even feel empathy with one of the characters (Green). Great BL

I was also curious about how Sarawat showed more interest in Tine as they were progressing on their fake dating thing. And then it's like BOOMMMmmm. It's great script of how and when Sarawat fell for Tine and why he didn't approach him firstly and on purpose. But I must say most BL drama have this strategy that one of the guy is straight and if a gay guy hits on this straight guy he falls for him and then he is gay too (eventhough the straight guy rejects the gay guy at first).
However, this BL dramas shows that what matters is love for that person in his heart and it doesn't matter if its a guy or girl. All that matters is LOVE and not the gender.

Fun and Lovely BL Series
While the two lead actors claim to be straight guys in real life, there is no denying that both Bright Vachiravit and Win Metawin have an electric chemistry onscreen. Both portray Sarawat and Tine effectively and its soooo easy for the audience to fall in love with the characters and feel the story. Supporting actors were also effective and funny. As a romantic comedy series, 2gether is successful in delivering its singular goal of giving fun and happiness to audience without being cringey or too sensual.
The OST Kangoo and the songs by Scrubb also add to the effectiveness of the series.

overhyped
the story is shite and gets boring quickly once the pining is over. the acting is mid. people just hype this shit up cause the lead actors are gorgeous. attempted fluff with very little plot, story, or immersiveness in the first place. youd say if thats the case itd watch easily but it rly doesnt. gets so boring so quick. story has potentional in the beginning but then it seemed like they got bored and just got it over with which ends in nonstop fluff that doesnt even make your heart beat all that fast, they feel more like close friends to meConsiderați utilă această recenzie?
A great choice for beginners of BL genre
First of all I'm not a very in-depth reviewer. This is my 1st time writing a review, my ratings are mostly based on the feels I get while watching the series. this series was my 1st BL drama and I really enjoyed watching this. I wasn't very familiar with BL genre and this series helped me get into BL genre .Sarawat and Tine are perfect together and everyone really needs friends like Fong ,Man & Boss in their Life .
Music of this series is very good, side characters are also good specially Dim & Green .
The only issue I have with this series is ending was very average even a beginner won't be satisfied with The ending
OVERALL I REALLY HAD FUN WATCHING THIS BL DRAMA
I have already rewatched this series for 3 times and i recommend everyone to watch this great series

Fluff at its best
This is a really sweet and fun romcom with several nice couples, music and a dash of awkwardness. The first episode was a bit low on the humor part but second to eleventh episodes where a feast for the aye and just fun to watch as Icicle or male god and smiles go from fake to real, hetero to bi , hate to love couple in the most adorable way yes all those common tropes in one that are allot of fun to watch. The side characters and side stories are 80% sweet 15% stalkers and 5% annoying at times but over all very lovable. The main couple is adorable but it bothers me that one seems to have to want be more physical than the other a common theme in many dramas. Why cant we just see two people want to kiss each other instead of the no means yes? or no means just convince me more? the line is not crossed, there are no forced kisses or so just not very mutual though the feeling grow to be very mutual its the physical part that does not seem to sync. Still a very sweet story and adorable character growth with lots of fun fluffy scenes.
Then there is some unnecessary trouble that dragged down the overall experience and score for this show but all in all definitely an easy drama that is worth a watch.
