Go and watch it!!!!

I fell in love with this drama. It had a great cast, and it’s an excellent rom com / slice of life drama. I have a very good happy feeling each time I spend time watching this show. Im getting my family to watch with me and were enjoying it so much.

First thing I liked: very chaotic meet-cute (an essential in romcoms) but also I love how despite the misunderstandings they didnt drag it out or milked for several episodes.

Second thing I liked: The ACTING! Im fairly shocked I havent watched Xiao Zhan dramas yet because he’s really quite good. I already like Yang Zi but Im not really a dedicated fan of cdrama actresses or actors, I just like what I like when I like it. this show have a really good male and female lead, and that hit me early on when they have scenes together. Very good chemistry.

Third: the build up. The build up is good. Ive only seen 6 episodes but so far I commend the show for a great build up and pace. They built up the main characters well. I dont hate either and in fact I sympathize with them both, a testament to how good the leads are.

Finally. I think people should give this show a try. The show has a way of sneaking up on you. Just dive in, and dont even read the reviews or summaries. Go and watch.

So beautiful and smooth modern love storie! You need put on your list of watched!

This drama is sweet, fun, smooth and romantic. If you joy love stories you'll like it! If you need relax, you will. The main leader played for Xiao Zhan know how show the personality from Dr. Gu. Know how makes we laugh and fall in love in each single detail of the character. The femal leader played by Yang Zi is amazing! She is a master of comedy and the way of Lin Zinxiao is so simple and sincere, makes you love and laugh her character. The chemistry between the two actors, Xiao Zhan and Yang Zi is incredible! Them improvisations on the scenes makes you feel so confortable with the couple. I love so much this drama!

i’m not in cdrama but a friend introduced me to this one and i’m impressed and surprised.
The only thing i can criticize is waiting 1 episodes x day, i’m so used to bing watching on netflix.
Currently watching and for now i’m really loving this show, i like that there also other themes beside the love story. The both protagonists are convincing and i find them really cute, i like to watch the development of their story.
I have to say that i’m falling in love with the doctor too! Ahah The character is really cute and funny and the actor really impressed me, really talented and handsome, he brought out a good portrait of a character with many layers of emotion and character. Besides i love the heroine’s mother and all the part about her family.
I’m really looking forward for the next episodes, until now the plot is really good and never bored me! Probably i’ll edit my review when the drama will be ended
Another note: production, editing and bgm are really good.
So, my first cdrama and i’m love it, if all cdrama has this quality i can really consider to watch more in the future

A cute soft romantic love story

I started seeing this because of Xiao Zhan and I am really happy that the series is so cute and all the actors are perfect.
I love both main leads and their lovely very natural acting and interactions. Cannot stop watching :)
So nice to have discovered Xiao Zhan and I have enjoyed all his dramas. OOL and the Untamed being my most favorite as of now :)

This reminds me of the love story novel a bit where leads are so comfortable with each other. They like and love each other in the most natural cute way possible. Really glad that they found both great actors toplay this as really if any one of them does not act good, the show won't be good.

Escalated and swoon-worthy….I’m drooling ?

The Oath Of Love is the most anticipated c drama since last year (or else 2 years and 217 days in the most precise way!) A big applause to renowned drama stars Xiao Zhan and Yang Zi and the whole TOOL team. I don’t want to mention any lines or plot because I don’t want to spoil the fun. But I reckon this drama gives you enough butterflies in your stomach simply watching the two ordinary people going through their daily lives while they come across each other. Thats the main reason this drama is really swoon-worthy drama of 2022. I rewatch almost every day before new episodes kicks in and I can’t get enough of it. Highly recommended!!!!

well written and beautiful drama

The Oath of Love is a very well-written and beautiful drama, there's no dull moment in every scene and episode. The story is also very relatable and I was easily emotionally invested while watching it, there's a time I will cry from the plot of the female lead's family issue and male leads' trauma story, but also laugh because of every humor in each episode. The humor placed in a very unexpected moment and so fresh, made me enjoy watching it. The music score also adds value to this drama, very beautiful and can covey all emotions of each scene. Acting skill of main leads, xiao zhan and yangzi, are very good and natural, not cringe at all, they have very good chemistry. Xiao zhan, yangzi, and other cast's visual in this drama is like a cherry on top made me want to re-watch every time I finished watching one episode. If you want to see a heartwarming with a good plot drama, you have to watch The oath of Love :)

Good plot, fresh dialog, beautiful shoots and music

The Oath of Love is beyond my expectation, it's more than just a romance drama. The plot is thick with relatable issues in life but wrapped in a simple & fresh dialog, beautiful shoots, and pleasing music score. I also like how the medical aspect in this drama is quite accurate and detail. The story between female leads (lin zhixiao) and male leads (gu wei) is natural and gradually improved, making their relationship believable and enjoyable to follow. Humor in this drama also a top-notch, you won't expect when the humor will come :).
xiao zhan as gu wei and yangzi as lin zhixiao acting and chemistry are very very good. Especially during the short clip at the end of each episode, I can't stop smiling watching their interaction, and ended up watching it several times. :)
A must watch drama of this year, I would say :)

A young cellist + her father’s doctor find an unexpected love.

This couple… *sigh* 💝

The friendship they form, the bond they develop, the love they discover - gahhh, it’s all so beautiful!! The Leads have amazing chemistry and I love watching them fall for each other with every interaction they share. From their first tense interactions to their slowly growing friendship. Then as she’s completely clueless to his hints & he’s uncertain how to woo her. There are so many memorable scenes!! That one where she has an allergic reaction & the way he responds?? SWOON!!! 🫠🫠🫠

Okay, I could gush forever. Onto other things I really like about this.

The ML never looks down on the FL because of her age, nor does he overpower her with his opinions about things. He never tries to control or manipulate her, never demands she change. He loves her exactly as she is and always encourages her to chase her dreams - he’s a total green flag 💚

The FL, in turn, is so supportive of the ML’s career. She doesn’t make unfair demands on his time, nor does she try to guilt him when emergencies arise that cause him to bail on/be late for plans with her. She’s a steady source of love and care for him to depend on. One who makes the ML take notice immediately and set out to pursue and cherish her. She’s totes girl crush worthy 😍

I truly love this drama. I love how they bring the best out in each other. In the safety of the ML’s love, the FL matures & flourishes in her personal & professional life. And under the influence of the FL’s cheerfulness, the ML experiences carefree & happy moments. They have a mutual respect & appreciation for each other that really shows how beautiful love can be. How beautiful it SHOULD be.

Even when stuff comes up or they have misunderstandings/lover’s spats, they both work to understand each other & meet in the middle. Yes, it’s more often the ML guiding the way due to his age & life experience, but the FL is always trying to be an equal partner for him. And I really like how the love rivals are dealt with. In both cases (SML pursuing FL & SFL chasing ML) the ML handles it so well. The scene of his confession in front of his colleagues… perfection! Absolutely adore the way he was only concerned about the FL’s feelings, not what it would look like to his superiors nor how it would affect the SFL. And the way he chased after her - gahhhh!!! He’s such a winner!!

Another thing I think was done very well is their reconciliation. 1) it wasn’t drug out for lots of episodes. 2) in their pain, they didn’t lash out or try to hurt one another (ie: try to make one another jealous, lie that they’re totally fine, etc.) 3) when they reconcile, it’s done. They don’t hold grudges, use past mistakes as a weapon or tool of manipulation, or cast blame. It happened, an apology was made, forgiveness was given, they’re still very deeply in love, and that’s that. Kudos, writer(s)!!

Their moments together are adorable and their kisses make your heart just melt 🫠 If you haven’t watched this yet, you’re totally missing out on experiencing a beautiful love story 🫶🏻

Oath of Boredom and Stupidity

It starts great. I was liking the banters, differences in opinions, misjudgements. Basically the whole build up was done right. Then comes the two 2nd leads. They get enough signs that they aren’t it for the leads but they are hell bent on winning over the ML &FL respectively. And if that was not enough, the FL’s friends jump into their matter with “good intentions” but make the situation worse. And the best friend keeps up that meddling till the very end. She keeps encouraging the FL to make stupid decisions throughout the whole drama.

There is an age gap going on between the leads (though the actress actually looks older than the actor). The FL is supposed to be in her 20’s but she acts like she is a freakin’ teenager. She only matured up when the ML was in a medical crisis. She was likeable only in that part. The ML was the only saving grace of this drama. At the end, it got way too boring. However, I liked the ending with their kid and message to her father.

I like xiao zhan and yang zi

The Oath of Love is a much-anticipated drama that literally went to hell and back, leaving fans in an awkward situation. The Oath of Love, which was supposed to premiere in September 2019, was repeatedly postponed due to "Operation Qing Lang," which targeted celebrities with large, often chaotic fan bases. The drama was thought to have been postponed solely to put fans on their best behaviour. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the first episode of The Oath of Love after the very long two-year wait. And now I understand why the things we desire are usually the things that bring us the most joy.


The Oath of Love is based on Bo Lin Shi Jiang's(柏林石匠) novel "Entrust the Rest of My Life to You" (余生，请多指教). Because of the success of the novel, The Oath of Love already has a large fan base, and as proof of the cast's star power, the drama surpassed 700 million views in three days.


This drama centres on an uplifting romance between a doctor and a cellist. To be honest, the story isn't particularly unique. It's just a typical rom-com like we see in c-dramas. Except for the medical aspect of the drama, there is nothing unusual about it. But it's the characters and, of course, the cast and their acting is what makes this drama so endearing.


I was expecting a typical, ice-cold, and serious-looking male lead and a confused and senseless female lead based on the synopsis. But I'm really impressed by the character arcs and portrayal in this case.


Lin Zhi Xiao (Yang Zi), the female lead, is a third-year university student majoring in cello. She is energetic, positive, and kind but, sometimes acts on impulse. She is determined to achieve her objectives and does not give up easily. Although she is a little inexperienced and slow when it comes to relationships, once she is certain of her feelings and intentions, she will move forward boldly.

The love from family is irreplaceable in a person's life. This is an important life lesson that this drama teaches us. Difficult situations can make us more mature in all aspects of life. This is what one should learn from Lin Zhi Xiao.

Gu Wei (Xiao Zhan), the male lead, is the chief surgeon at a gastroenterology unit. He is a very capable doctor, but he takes failures and setbacks far too seriously, which led to psychological issues. Finally, after meeting Lin Zhi Xiao, he learns to look past the setbacks and learn from them. They transform into each other's suns and shine brightly.

One should not take setbacks to heart and stumble there, unable to rise. One should learn to learn from them and make their life more colourful with love. This is what one should learn from Gu Wei.

Gu Wei has a cold and aloof personality, but he is actually very warm and caring towards the people he should be. Lin Zhi Xiao, on the other hand, is equally warm and caring, in this case, to everyone. Lin Zhi Xiao's character development is one if the best I have seen to date. When in comes to Gu Wei, he is already and adult and naturally, there won't be any more development for him. But, his personality is so endearing that you would wonder if such a person would ever exist in this world. Their distinct personalities is one thing that makes this drama really cute and charming. You will know it when you watch the drama. The supporting characters in this drama are good, but their relationship advice can get really annoying at times.


I must say that the romance in this drama is both healthy and consensual. Nobody forces themselves on the other, and no one intentionally hurts the other's feelings. Despite the characters' 9-year age difference, the plot's romantic development felt very natural. Even I, who is not really a fan of age gap, which can become really creepy if not excecuted well, liked this drama very much. This is all due to the cast's efforts in bringing the characters to life.


Speaking of the cast, this drama has a star-studded cast that will compel you to watch it no matter what. Actually, I came to see this drama solely for the cast, as they are my favourite actor and actress. If you've seen at least one drama with them in it, you'll understand their allure. Both Xiao Zhan and Yang Zi deliver excellent performances, particularly in serious and emotional scenes. They have serious acting skills that only a few people have or can have. Their chemistry was on fire, and their interactions were adorable to watch, which, combined with the naturalness of their development, made one wonder if it was all real.


Special appreciation to the cast:
I'm really happy at the fact that Yang Zi can portray a character, who is much younger that her, flawlessly but, I think she should broaden her horizon and take up more serious roles.
Xiao Zhan's glamour is growing year by year and so is his acting skills. But, I think and hope he should take up more roles like Wei Wu Xian form The Untamed.

Sweet Story

I’ve been waiting for this drama for 3 years and I’m so happy it finally aired! Xiao Zhan is an amazing actor and his portrayal of Gu Wei is raw and emotional. I love that the ML and FL are growing together through mutual support and acceptance of one another’s quirks and imperfections.

There is enough sweetness to go around but also a lot of emotional moments that made me cry, especially the relationship between father and daughter. I can’t wait to see how the characters will grow to love one another and where the story will take us.

It’s definitely a drama I will be rewatching once it’s done.
