Until We Meet Again (2019)

I saw a recommendation from a friend in its comment section stating that Until We Meet Again is somewhat unique and offers something new apart from other BL drama series. I took the opportunity to watch all 17 episodes. From the first episode, I knew already that this has something to do with gender violence, discrimination, and self-reluctancy when it comes to an emotional degree. One of the major downsides of the series is that too much dead air or longer time of actors' execution of lines that must be shown in order to fulfill its full potential all throughout the series. The story also is somewhat bizarre and sometimes confusing in the characters' portrayal of whose who. The intimacy part where the actors portrayed their "love scene" is somehow cliche and effortless. Although I am not saying it must also be too intimate in the portrayal. But in all actuality, it is still good, if not best, series I have watched insofar. I was a bit dumbfounded and goosebumps were there as I was not expecting about the infamous 'red thread legend' and that the stories of the lovers will continue to linger on to the next generations of lovers. It is true to say that forgiveness, trust, and strength are the factors that kept the love of this story lingers to its happy ever after. I am wishing there will be another of this series in the future, offering a unique storyline. Kudos!

The Best Drama I Have Watched

This is my absolute favorite series I have watched. It is the only series I gave 10’s all around. Korn and In were by far my favorite couple. I was so touched by their story. I felt their love and their pain. Dean and Pharm’s story was beautifully written. I kin Pharm and could see a lot of his same traits in me. I loved their chemistry. Another thing that I loved about this series was Win. He had such a screen presence and I loved his story with Team. There is nothing negative I can say about this series. It sticks with you. Even though it was tragic and I needed a box of tissues, this is #1 for me. This is the series that set my standards and although some others came close to being this good, they can’t dethrone this from the top spot. I highly recommend this series for its story, acting, and star power that will leave you wanting to see more.

Speachless is the first word that comes to my mouth after finishing this drama. WHAT AN AMAZING SERIE OMG!

I keep watching BL dramas lately and I´m always like "wow this one was great", "wow amazing drama", bla bla bla... but seriously, "Until We Meet Again", is massively more than just a simple drama. This is a big slap on the face for all societies, families, friends, etc, that still judge, minorize and belittle people that love someone from the same gender.

I think that the message that this drama was suppoused to transmit was way more than well done managed! It´s funny how mother nature worked fantasticly good by changing their family clicles, putting those two souls into the path of the way they should´ve lived.

It´s simple, TRUE LOVE, WILL ALWAYS PREVAIL.

Beautifully tragic

This is hands down one of my favorites, it's beautiful and depressing and UGH I love it.

The only thing that I dislike is how boring the main couple is, I would much rather have a full series about Win and Team or Korn and In. I don't have anything against Dean and Pharm and I think they are one of the healthiest relationships in thai dramas but that might just be because they hardly interact.

It's not like couples that don't need words to communicate (King and Ram from my engineer) those couples have an understanding of each other that goes beyond verbal communication, they can look at each other and just know. Dean and Pharm just actually have nothing to say.

I hate that I'm talking so much shit because I love this show so much but I will never get over Dean and Pharm being the main couple.

IN conclusion, I'm salty and want a WinTeam series...

If you're a fan of reincarnation stories, this series fits the bill perfectly. I'm definitely a sucker for reincarnation so that probably gives me a bias. Although it moves a bit slowly, the story is engaging, heartbreaking, and leaves you hoping for the best. All the actors did a great job conveying the roller-coaster of emotions throughout the series. I never had a problem with the pacing, but if you like a story that moves quickly than this might not be for you.

The story spends a good bit of time focusing on the past and present relationships between Intouch, Korn, Dean, and Pharm. You discover In's and Korn's story through Dean and Pharm, experiencing everything right along with them from both of their perspectives. It is a sad case of right person wrong time, and their story was never meant to end well, despite In's wholehearted belief that they're meant to be together. Korn gives up and leaves him alone, thus setting off a chain of events that lead only to sadness in the past. What's heartbreaking is this is a reality for some, and the families were left behind regretting their unacceptance. This drama addresses the harsh reality of homophobia, the effects of violence at home, and the connections to suicide.

In the present, Pharm and Dean have always had a feeling that they're looking for someone, though they don't know who. The connection when the two meet is undeniable, and Dean's commitment to not letting Pharm go is unwavering. It's a bit awkward at first, but the two are sweet together. To lay rest to In and Korn, Pharm and Dean must work through the past in the present, and the journey is not an easy one.

All in all, I really liked this series. It had it's light moments and it's very intense ones. The two main present characters have an extremely respectful and wholesome relationship and I'm so here for that. I thought everyone did a very good job with what they were given, save for a few awkward moments during the emotional scenes. At one point Pharm's mother and brother show up during a particularly intense scene and they seem to just know and accept what's going on. I would have like to see more on the relatives coming to the realization that the pair were reincarnations. I enjoyed it for the thoroughly, and would definitely watch it again in the future.

Tabii bu tüm okulun iki erkeğin ilişkide olamasını fetişize ediyor ve dizinin bunu aklıyor oluşu gerçeğini değiştirmiyor. benim gözüme çarpan yegane problematik kısım da buydu.
bunun dışında karakterler ve ilişkileri tatlı. benim kişisel favori çiftim win ve team, ilişkilerinin gelişimini çok görememiş olsam da. ikisi de gözüme aşırı hitab ediyor. ay ne kadar çekici insanlar öyle. ana çiftin ilişkisi ise aşırı pofidik, ponçik, kalp ısıtıcı bir ilişki. birbirlerini kıskanıyorlar ama bu aşırıya kaçmayan, psikolojik şiddete varmayan, birbirlerinin kişisel sınırlarını ihlal etmeyen kıskançlık.
genel anlamda hikayeyi oldukça sevdim. anlatıyı bozan, genel kurgudan uzaklaşılan bir kısım, olay olduğunu hatırlamıyorum. gerilim yaratmak uğruna eklenmiş saçma sapan olaylar izlemedim. hikaye tüm dizi boyunca aheste ama sağlam adımlarla ilerledi. tek problem gördüğüm olay: suçu günahı olmayan dean'e asıl suçlululardan biri olan korn'un babasından defalarca özür diletilmesi oldu. korn o şerefsiz herif yüzünden ölmüş ama herif ağzını bile açmazken dean defalarca özür diliyor. niye? korn intihar ettiği için mi? intahara sürükleyen zaten o şerefsiz herif değil miydi? birisini ölüme gönderdikten sonra özür dahi dileyemiyorken pişman olsan ne yazar? dean'e haksızlık edildi o anlarda.
içerikten şekle geçecek olursak ise şunları söyleyebilirim: dizinin her bölümü sanki bir film gibiydi. kendi deneyimlerimden yola çıkarak söylüyorum, diziler genelde uzun süreli yayınlar oldukları için estetiklikleri ile çok uğraşılmayan, oraya verilecek emeğin başka yerlere aktarıldığı yapımlardır. sinematografi mesela çok geri planda kalır. bu dizide ise böyle değildi. her sahne kameranın estetik bir biçimde kullanıldığını düşünüyorum.
yine benzer şekilde anlatı (narrative) de oldukça iyi kurgulanmış ve işlenmişti. yavaş akıyordu ama estetize ediyordu. dolayısıyla arda üç film izlemişim gibi bir yorgunluk oluştursa da art arda üç bölüm izlemekten keyif alıyordum.
oyunculuk hakeza çok iyiydi. aşırı duygusal sahnelerde dahi oyuncular duyguları verebiliyordu. başka bir sahnede komediyi de elden bırakıyordular. bir tek manow karakterinin oyuncusundan emin değilim ama o da aşırı karikatürize bir tipi oynaması gerektiği için bu belirsizliği yarattı sanırım bende.
not: türkiyeden bir izleyici olarak umarım diziye yaptığım eleştirilerim kültürel cehalet ve saygısızlık içermiyordur. olabildiğince bunu yapmamaya dikkat ediyorum ama yaptıysam içten bir özür diliyorum.

Ohm and fluke couple, they play very well, from the expression of expression, remembering the past that the next life will meet again makes me very sad, especially fluke is very funny and shy. And ohm so fierce and bad-tempered, I'm sure they will love each other the next season
I hope that the next season will be better and they will continue to be a couple I really want to watch this.
Very good and has many meaningful messages about love in real life. but it also brings inspiration for lovers and young people.
Thank you to filmmakers and I support you all. I hope that there will be a continuation of the next series and multiply episodes, 25 episode enough

Good Drama

I know a couple people don't think it's worth it or that it's a slow-paced show because it takes a minute for the lead characters to meet (officially), but let me just tell you: this show is WORTH it. As someone who read the novel, I can tell you that this was everything I'd hoped it would be and more! Ohm (Dean) and Fluke (Pharm) have such great chemistry, and I think that comes through in the storyline. I'm also a big fan of Sammy (Manow), so I generally love every character she does~ I even loved the side-couples, and that NEVER happens. WinTeam is wonderful, and I'm gonna stan their acting careers from here on out.

The OST. Listen. I'm a huge Boy Sompob fan, so, of course, I love Luckiest Boy (there's an English version, fun fact, though I do like the Thai version better), and I'm a sucker for songs that the cast cover themselves, so another win (wink) for me~

Overall, I highly recommend this show. I also recommend reading the book so you can understand why the portrayal of the characters is so good--it's like they channeled the characters from the novel, and I think that's the best thing an actor can do when you watch a show based off of a book~

One of the best Thai BL dramas so far

Of course, a lot of people will watch this drama for the BL theme, all of the couples being very lovable, however, I would recommend this drama for the storyline. I have yet to watch another drama with a similar storyline - though drama's with reincarnation as the theme are popular, they're not like this. This drama made me cry in almost every episode the first time I watched it and I am not someone to cry to TV shows.
I gave the acting an 8, not really because I found the acting bad, especially not Fluke and Ohm, but more the way the scenes were set sometimes, some scenes could have been cut shorter to get to the point quicker. However, if you don't plan on watching a whole series properly, this is not the series for you as you need to watch every episode to get the story and it is most definitely a slow burn.
If you have the patience, I would most definitely recommend this drama, I have watched it multiple times already and would happily watch it again.

I'm picky towards bl drama, I usually dropped the drama once its getting boring for me to watch, like didnt make me wondering what will happen next
But this drama, even from the genre itself, really attract me.. the first time I watch it, i kinda doubt the one who played Dean (Ohm) will give me, as an audience, an impressive acting, but then when I entered 4th or 5th episode, i really impressed by how he's into the character so much, like it's a natural...
What I paid attention from the bl series actors are that some of the actors somehow used that blank face during the acting, even when they talk so much during one scene, some of them (idk its intentionally or just unconsciously) used that blank gaze and face, and i was really cringed with that somehow, BUT ALL THE ACTORS FROM THIS SERIES WERE NOT LIKE THAT, they really showed how natural they are with the acting, like its almost looks like they show their trueself, not acting... and I really impressed by that
AND I REALLY LOVE THE FACT THAT I REALLY GOT DIFFERENT VIBE AND CHEMISTRY OF EACH COUPLE FROM THIS SERIES ? THEY ARE ALL GOOD, INDEED
And idk its just me or everyone felt it too, but eventho the main focus was on DeanPharm ccouple, you could barely feel that the main couple overshadowed the other couples, like each couple literally shine in different way and left so much impression that could never be forgotten, EACH OF THEM ?
and I love how the plots go on back and forward without even made me confused, like its really well structured
This is also the first bl drama with the best osts for me, like all the songs literally there on my playlist rn, a must to play everyday
I TOTALLY LOVE AND RECOMMEND THIS SERIES SO MUCH ?

Not Everyone's Cup of Tea

You must have already seen the reviews half of them are like really good the rest are really bad. There is no middle ground.

Before you start this series let me warn you its not everyone's cup of tea.

STORY : The plot of the story is great. Now what people mostly are complaining about it is how slow paced it is and dramatic. If you dont like dramatic series just dont bother to watch it coz you will end up being one of those assholes who gave negative reviews n comments. Yes I do agree it is slow and some scenes are too stretched but if you like drama you might like it. I did. All in all the story isn't bad at all. Its all about your preference. Dont watch it if you dont like dramatic series. The ending 2 episodes somewhat felt like rushed. Too much happening at the

ACTING : All the actors delivered what they were given to work with. I think everyone did a great job, even the side characters. Now some people are complaining about the lack of acting n chemistry in main couple. But honestly I like it. Individually Ohm acting was pretty great. The character of Dean is supposed to be like that so cant blame him and Fluke, well I've known him for a long time and he is a great actor. About the chemistry considering it was Ohm's first series I think he did a pretty great job. He's new so I can understand. Also the chemistry wasn't all that bad like people are exaggerating. Its good. I liked the interactions the flirting and all. In and Korn were great their acting and chemistry really shined. Would really like if they had their own series. Overall the acting was really great. The only complain I cud have was Pharm literally crying in every episode. A bucket cud be filled with those tears literally lol. But Fluke is a great actor can't deny.
