Put Your Head on My Shoulder (2019)

I loved!

I'm in love with this drama.
you know, there’s no point in going with a lot of expectations, because it will ruin your whole experience, no matter what series it is, and maybe that’s why people didn’t like this drama.
But anyway, this is what I think about the history:

things happen the way they should, there is no love triangle and I'm sure it will warm your heart.
The drama itself has nothing new, but it still captivates you and you surrender to it and end the series with a smile on your face.
She is very light and very fun, it is worth watching on a weekend, because she ends quickly.
The actors are incredible and everything is beautiful.
Anyway, I advise you to watch this if you want to have your heart warm.

My favorite drama to rewatch! I keep coming back for more.

I absolutely adore this drama! I’m about to watch Put Your Head on my Shoulder for the 5th time. When I need a drama that is uplifting and calming, this is one of two dramas that I return to watch.

First of all, I love the characters and the actors in their roles. Nobody is overly stupid, mean or dramatic. The roles seem very real and natural. The chemistry between characters is on point. It also nice to watch a drama where the parents are pretty awesome!

I love the story, the slow build, and the challenges they face. I love the clever dialogue, and some scenes I enjoy so much that I have watched them over and over. (The scenes involving the rumba are my favorite ?)

I like the music so much I printed out the lyrics.

Um dorama de aquecer o coração!
A história de Ombro Amigo é um clichê em tanto, mas não deixa a desejar em nenhum aspecto, com um final tão lindo e fofo que chega a deixar um gostinho de quero mais!!
Diferente da versão japonesa, os personagens principais não foram morar juntos por necessidade, e sim por uma trama armada pela mãe deles, o que eu achei incrível!
O dorama aborda diferentes assuntos de uma forma bem calma, sem problematizar nada, como: Primeiro amor, problemas na faculdade, amor não correspondido, questões sobre sexo...
O desenvolvimento dos personagens ficou bem aparente, e o que me deixou mais feliz foi essa quebra de esteriótipos de personagem machão que maltrata a mocinha e depois se apaixona.
O último episódio foi tudo o que eu queria, um final tão fofo, que não deixou nada a desejar, e o episódio especial foi perfeito, mostrando o filho deles, do qual achei a cena a coisa mais linda do mundo!
Super recomendo!!!

Excellent acting, great story, & sweet romance

I’m not usually one to watch college romance dramas because (since the actors are so young) they often cut out kissing scenes, the romance tends to be a slow burn and the actors are sometimes a bit stiff and inexperienced. But there are a few college romance dramas that have a perfect blend of some great acting, an epic romance that sizzles, some hilarious comedy, and memorable characters that touch your heart. This is one of those dramas.

I was surprised at how funny this was. The male lead is very quiet, serious, and focused. So when he’s put into awkward situations, his facial expressions are absolutely hilarious. In one really funny scene he uses a toothbrush to fish something out of a dish of soapy water only to realize, to his horror, that it is a bra. The look on his face was priceless! Then, when he has to explain to the female lead why her toothbrush is laying in that dish, I just about died laughing.

Even though this is a slice of life type of drama it’s not boring because the characters are refreshingly different and the story is interesting. I like that the male lead has a unique personality. He’s not your typical wealthy, arrogant heir that’s cold and aloof. He has many facets to his personality which is quite appealing. One minute he’s all cool and sexy. The next minute he’s this nerdy little genius scientist thats always creating or fixing things. Then he will show this sweet confused little puppy side. And the way he was always googling things on his phone because he was so clueless on how to handle most social situations was adorable. His acting was really very good too.

The female lead is outgoing, confident, hardworking, and loyal. She may be tiny but she’s feisty and always stands up for herself. As she’s about to graduate she realizes accounting isn’t really what she wants to do. The male lead encourages her to follow her heart and do what makes her happy. So she switches to advertising which really excites her. I really liked her characters growth and her acting was great.

What makes this drama so good (other than the great romance which I’ll get to later) are the really great side characters. Like the male leads classmate that was always throwing tantrums or pouting because the male lead was better than him at everything. His childish antics were hilarious. And it was so refreshing to hear the female leads mom tell her that she didn’t have high expectations for her in her career, she just wants her to be happy. It’s not often you see a parent in an Asian drama make that kind of statement. And watching her hilarious attempts at matchmaking the leads and getting them together was too cute. Then there was the Easter egg at the end of each episode with some behind the scenes stuff that I always looked forward to.

The romance here was just perfect. It wasn’t a slow burn but it wasn’t super fast insta love either. It was just right. There are some cute kisses, piggyback rides, cuddles, lots of handholding, and lots of sweet moments. And (thankfully) there aren’t any ridiculous breakups or noble idiocy either. They go through issues like any normal couple but they work through them together in a very normal realistic way.

This is a slice of life drama so you won’t see any evil devious characters, there aren’t any action scenes like car chases or kidnappings, and it’s not super sad or filled with angst. But it does have some super interesting characters, a sweet romance, a touching storyline, and hopefully you’ll walk away from it feeling all fuzzy inside like I did. This cute height difference couple will always be one of my favorite drama couples.

The story is really good and not boring at all. The romantic element makes me immersed in happiness hahaha. There is also an element of comedy, and friendship. anyway this drama is very good to watch! you can watch it on youtube if you want ... btw this drama is the FIRST chinese drama I've ever watched ...
I've watched it about five times, but I never get bored. And I really like it when the male lead is cold and smart
and the female lead is very funny and sloppy.
I won't spoil the story. But this story has a sad and happy part. Well, in every story it must be like that, right?

This drama is so damn good, i badly need a subtitle for episodes 9 to 12????????????????????NOOOWWWWWWW!!!!!!, This drama was giving me the same feelimg as I watched love O2O, Accidentally in Love, About is Love and other first tier dramas, I would raye this as a star tier to be honest, I relly loved the 1st episode up to the 8th....For first time or new chinese drama watchers, I would recommend this as a "Must Watch Drama" simce the plot won't tire you out especially the ending parts of every episodes, it would left you either curious or thrilled to what would happen in the next scene... The cast are good looking by the way, they are young but suitable for their role, I hope this drama would not left me hanging or end in an open end plot...

ce drama est juste incroyablement mignon. si vous êtes comme moi et que vous aimer les dramas où on se prend pas la tête ou la romance prend le dessus et que le couple est super mignon !!!! ce drama est fait pour vous ! depuis qu’il se sont rencontrés les deux personnage sont juste trop cute ensemble l’histoire est intéressante c’est vraiment mon c drama préférée !!!! je le conseille vraiment ! par contre si vous aimez les dramas à suspense avec de l’action et ou les personnages vivent une histoire tragique et pleine de rebondissement ce n’est pas vraiment fait pour vous ! sur ce je vais aller le recommencer ! ??? j’espère que mon avis vous donnera envie de le commencer

This drama is not for me, but I would still like to share my thoughts for any others planning to start this series. There is nothing exciting/ notable about the story or characters after 2 episodes. Here is my suggestion, jump to the following clip as a sneakpeak of what is to come. If you think the 5 minute acting and interaction between characters in the hotpot clip in Episode 2 Timer: 33:35 - 38:15 is bearable, be my guest and continue to follow the series.

Story
Initial story is about a mixup of bags between Si Tu Mo and Gu Wei Yi which causes problems for each other. Later on, Gu Wei Yi 'saves' Si Tu Mo from a bad situation which leads to Si Tu Mo wanting to repay Gu Wei Yi by going an extra mile to resolve Gu Wei Yi's current situation. Furthermore, I don't like how the drama uses side characters to be "I just happened to be here at the same spot and time" to drive story and a wedge between the couples (I am looking at you Mr. Physics Teacher)

Acting/Cast/Characters
After watching 2 episodes of the drama, I can confidently say that most characters/casts' acting are bad.
-Fair Xing (Si Tu Mo) is doing her absolute best to give life to her character, but the other casts' acting are so bad, it makes her look like she is doing a terrible job too. (the half a star is for her trying)
- Lin Yi (Gu Wei Yi) is literally a robot. His acting has 3 steps. Step 1. Look to side, Step 2. Say Line, Step 3. Don't blink or Look Around. Having looked at his profile on MDL, he is a total beginner. (Can't say if his acting gets better later on)
- Daddi Tang (Fu Pei)'s character is very cliche. Likes Si Tu Mo but doesn't give 2 cents/ make the effort to chase the girl.
- Also making a point, the random one-time side characters' acting are really bad too.

Music
Since I have only watched 2 episodes of the drama, I cannot comment if the music/ OST are good or not so I just gave an average of 5.

Rewatch Value
I do not recommend.

Why I gave the drama my current rating? (1)
The acting was so atrocious, I had to drop the drama. If the story was interesting, the drama could be redeemable, but the plot is bottom tier too. I am already expecting angry fan-girl replies to this review, but this is my honest opinion.

I like the story flow. Leading lady pursues what she really wants and learns to love herself. This is I think the first drama that I have watched the leading man gradually fall in love with the leading lady and he was not the first love of the girl. (Oopss is that spoiler? sorry). I love the cast!!! Leading lady is cute and the leading man is ssssoooooo handsome!!! Like God why on earth you created us unequally??? I think I would be gay for him ahaha!!! I only gave 9/10 for their acting not because they are not good but they still have some room for improvement. :) For the song of the drama, hhhmmmm, I kind of doesn't notice much coz I am busy giggling over the cuteness of the couple my gahd!!! If your a Filipino you would understand this: Sobrang kinikilig ako!!!!! ahaha
