I like all the characters their story line , one thing make me sad that the second lead actress story come to end ,I thought they both will end up with the love story and all the time I am waiting for it as well ,secondly I thought there may be love triangle but the way both the 2nd lead characters story come to end that make me sad .Rest all is good about the drama . There is no funny moment in the drama ,It is a murder mystery drama with lots of sad emotions but sweet love story.

It’s so-so
As a fan of thriller mystery dramas this show for me is 7/10. The plot is good and the acting is decent but the twist is kinda predictable in my opinion. The repeated flashbacks are sometimes unnecessary to the episodes but overall it’s an okay drama. The standout actor to me is the hyung, it was hard to figure out if he’s in the good or bad side and I think that’s a good thing when you watch a mystery drama. The characters being mysterious adds thrill to the plot. For the music, it’s so-so, not in the line of OSTs that you would want to add to your playlist like other soundtracks.Considerați utilă această recenzie?

Cho Byeong-kyu: guru of limping characters
Adorable orphan himbo with uncomfortable superpower meets smart, confident girl on a quest to clear her father's name. This is basically the core character dynamic of this drama. We also get the unfailingly entertaining big brother/little brother/unconventional found family combo that always seals the deal for me.
He is Psychometric manages to go even beyond the excellent weaving of relationships among interesting characters and builds upon a comfortably intricate plot.
There are only two downsides in this otherwise outstanding drama.
First and foremost, it is notably lacking in the suspense department for a thriller. We come to expect every turning point of the plot (except for the main one that is, however, given out with 3 episodes of not-so-subtle hints before the final revelation) because it is foreshadowed clearly just before its occurrence.
The story itself remains engaging nonetheless, it is just not very thrilling.
My second criticism is about the choice of founding much of the plot resolution on a (M. Night)Shyamalan type of twist. It is a cool gimmick but decreases, inevitably, the whole drama rewatchability.
These are the main drawbacks in terms of screenplay, but I don't think they affect much the drama's overall enjoyable vibe. The cast, in fact, makes a very fine job in drawing the viewer's attention.
My favorite character is Kang Sung-mo, which is played by the impressive Kim Kwon. He is a new entry in my kdrama hotties' Olympus as I don't think I've encountered him in my previous viewings.
His character is definitely the most complex as he undergoes a progressive humanization throughout the story. Starting from an inscrutable, rational, super-human (as in "very-little-like the humans we know") upstanding hero (on the metaphorical pedestal of a rooftop apartment) that functions almost like a deus-ex-machina for the young protagonists, he descends all the way to the underworld (the subway abandoned station, the underground prison) becoming the irrational, sub-human executioner driven by the need for survival, protection and revenge.
Although a diagnosis of alexithymia makes everybody question his ability to feel emotions, we are often reminded that being unable to express emotions is indeed different from being unable to feel them.
Park Jin-young is fairly convincing as the warmhearted himbo. His Lee Ahn is cute and endearing and does a great job of lightening the tone even when the story grows darker. The character also serves as a counterpoint to Sung-mo, in many ways. For example, where a teenager Sung-Mo made a terrible choice (he regretted soon after) because he felt trapped in the absence of trusted adult guidance, teenager Ahn was able to turn his life around and overcome his anger (thanks to the guidance of the very same Sung-Mo).
Shin Ye-eun also does a decent job, although she isn't particularly brilliant. I think the main couple has the highest romantic tension in the high school episodes and it mellows out later on. The actors have chemistry, but it feels friendly in nature more than romantic. I think it is a writing choice resulting from the intention of focusing more on other plot points and themes. In this respect, the brief moment of angst between the main couple was a bit useless and felt perfunctory.
The second couple is much more entertaining, in my opinion.
When reaching the end of this drama someone might think the writer is implying that a bad seed is a bad seed and it is impossible to transcend genes and conditioning.
Both father and son seem to be condemned to the same fate of isolation from society. They are both behind bars, yet there is a fundamental difference in their confinement. Whilst the father is sentenced to never leaving those bars, not even the invisible ones tying him to his horrific childhood, Sung-mo is instead finally allowed to escape the prison of his past through atonement. I loved the fact that despite the terrible murders he committed, the writer didn't opt for an unredeemed suicide and instead told us that the hardest choice is asking for forgiveness and living to atone for the hurt caused.
It is a very Christian solution and, in fact, there are explicit Christian references all throughout the drama as it is also apparent with the theme of forgiveness that recurs in the relationship dynamics of the characters every so often.
The writer makes another important point by including a reflection on collective responsibility. The monsters in her story are the product of a faulty and corrupted society.
I believe there is also a theme of disgust: people picking their nose and leaving boogers under the desk, people eating things found on the floor, people touching corpses, people pulling nose hairs and flicking them in other people's faces and ongoing talks of festering wounds. Is it because human condition is inherently execrable? Who knows? I don't.
I really liked the visual representation of psychometry although it didn't make much sense with the shifting POVs (does Ahn see things from hi POV, does he see them from the object POV? It varies).
The title of the review refers to the fact that it is funny (only to me) to see Cho Byeong-kyu limping again after watching the Uncanny Counter (albeit chronologically speaking HIP comes first).
Female Empowerment Score 4/5 we had to sacrifice the female detective to convince men to take responsibility for their actions. On the other hand, I love the natural comradery, the girl friendships. I also love that the women in this drama are smart and don't wait around to be saved but, instead, become the hero they need.

Why show!?
I wanted to love you so much!!!
I was so excited to watch He is Psychometric once I read the synopsis. It had everything I love: action, romance, and something supernaturally special about it. I usually fall head over heels with this time of show, but I couldn't this time around for some reason.
Here's the breakdown...
Story 〆(・∀・@): This is going to be extremely difficult since a large portion of the problems I have with this show are definitely spoiler worthy. So please excuse me if I sound a bit broad.
Not gonna lie, the story started extremely slow. It did an excellent job in building up the characters and their backstories, so I didn't necessarily mind it. Better get the boring stuff out of the way early, right? But after a few episodes went by with not that much progress, I did get a bit bored. It wasn't too bad, but it was a rough start.
Jumping from that, I'll admit that the second half get's more exciting. I never got tired of what was happening and was genuinely invested in where things were going. Even though I was interested, I didn't necessarily like where things ended up. I was more watching to see the results rather than the journey. I can confirm that this show does things that I haven't seen others do. It really pulled the rug of comfort from under my feet and beat me repeatedly. Some decisions were incredibly unique and exciting, while others just made me feel.... sad. But I guess that makes a good twist so maybe I'm just a big baby.
The romance was meh for me. The relationship-building happened at the beginning, which was pleasant to watch, but it got swept aside in the second half. The chemistry itself was also pretty average. I enjoyed the two leads but felt way more invested with the love between other characters rather than them. In fact, I was more invested with others rather than Lee Ahn and Yoon Jae-in. The acting wasn't bad; it's just the characters themselves I guess. I can't put my finger on what bothered me, but I just never enjoyed it like I thought I would.
With all the negativity out of the way, I can admit that I was entertained with the overall story. There were some cute comedic bits and dark story twists, but they never felt forced into each other. And just because I didn't like how some things turned out, doesn't mean that the writing was terrible. I'm just salty.... moving on!!!
Acting 。゜(`Д')゜。: I was genuinely surprised. That's a good way of starting this.
I didn't have any problems with the leading actors, nor with any of the side ones. The beginning did an excellent job of building up the characters so that the actors had more time to really connect with them.
I'll also say that I haven't watched any previous works with this group of actors in them. The two mains Park Jin-young and Shin Ye-eun, didn't have much under their belt either. But both of them did amazing! I didn't always connect with their characters, but that's more due to the writing. They both conveyed emotion beautifully, especially Jin-young. Like god... please give him more lead roles!! He truly deserves it.
I'm not gonna talk about anybody else for.... reasons... but I'll admit that the actors considered everything. What seems like a poor acting choice connects to the grand scheme of things and becomes rather impressive.
I guess the reason I can't give it a 10 / 10 is due to some minor background characters. Sometimes they felt just a bit too out-there. I don't know if it's the actors or the writing, but a few pushed my buttons.
Nothing to fret over though! :D
Music ヾ(⌐■_■)ノ♪: Quick and easy! That is my goal for this dreadful review portion.
Everything was very mediocre—happy songs at happy parts and sad songs during depressing ones. There wasn't any song that seemed unique or exciting but nothing out of place either—just your run of the mill background music.
I'll admit that during the creepy, more suspenseful scenes, had a song choice that made me feel a bit spooked.
Especially when you're watching it at night, so I guess that's a plus.
But other than that, nothing unusual in the music department.
Other (ง°ل͜°)ง: The psychometric ability was delightful.
It was a nice twist that the main lead didn't have it entirely under control and instead developed it over time.
It was also interesting to include objects with things he can see through since it made the ability feel more unique to this show. There weren't many loopholes either. Near the end, the writers sprung something up that would have been best left alone, which was a bit annoying. It wasn't a big plot hole but definitely left me with questions.
What also bugged me a bit is that the ability was underused. Yes, Lee Ahn did use his talent in every episode, and it did have a significant role in discovering specific vital points. But the writers brought other issues that were much more delved into. This show could honestly get rid of the psychometric stuff and focus on (can't say it but... another character thing) which would have also made for a great show.
So if they maybe focused more on Ahn's ability and brought up the issue they saved till the last minute, then perhaps I wouldn't feel so uneasy.
Then again, these aren't problems you'd worry about while watching. I'm just incredibly picky with this type of stuff...
Finishing up the review, I'm leaving a bit salty and upset.
I'm glad I watched it, and I might recommend it to a few people, but I doubt I'll purposely watch it again.
Maybe if someone I know wants to watch it with me, then I might tag along, but never alone.
The story was entertaining, but at the same time a letdown, the acting was tremendous yet the characters weren't always on the same page with me, and the overall ending wrapped up everything but left me disappointed
This show does things that I've hardly seen done so I'll commend it.
But it's not what I thought it would be. I guess I put all my eggs in the basket too soon.
Womp womp
Happy Watching <3

This is a good thriller with a nice, but not extraordinary, romance story. There is character development and a good portrayal of raw and intense emotions. Although Lee Ahn’s character’s development is progressive throughout the drama, the insistence of the premise that he lacks intellectual value really takes away from the greatness of his persona, leaving a sour note every time his dumbness is addressed. The drama has suspense, romance, some comedic moments, supernatural element, and tragedy. Considerați utilă această recenzie?

Slow moving
I'll keep it as brief and to the point as possible. The story definitely had potential but it didn't hold my interest for very long. It starts off well but around episode 9 and 10, I started to feel bored. By the end, the pace picks up again but I wasn't as vested in the plot.I really enjoyed the dynamics between Lee Ahn and his brother Seong Mo. And they were the highlights of the show more than anything. It also added some humour.
It wasn't really explained how Lee Ahn's powers develop in the presence of Jae In. Or how those books he read helped. They could have exploded that a bit more instead of some of the romance scenes which weren't all that romantic. Although the ending was satisfactory, I didn't feel quite satisfied. It felt almost underwhelming. It could have used a bit of drama. Instead, everyone's emotions were flat.
I've also minused 0.5 for the poor budgie. They paid attention to the dog but not a single scene with them interacting with that bird. It looked beyond lonely. When Ahn gives Jae In his dog because he's too busy, I don't understand why he doesn't do the same for the bird as his brother seems to be home even less. I'm sure the animals were looked after by the crew but as part of the story, it made me feel bad for it.
I wouldn't really recommend this particular series. It isn't bad but there are better ones out there. I'd say Park Jin Young was far better in The Devil Judge and that is a far more intriguing series. Hence why I don't rate He Is Psychometric highly as a rewatch either.

One of my favourites
I really love this drama. There's everything, love, crime, suspense, supernaturalism. Jinyoung did an amazing job acting as a rebellious high school student. The drama slowly unveils the fire crime and what a plot twist. It's very heartwrenching knowing that Jinyoung's brother, Kwon Kim, killed his parents. Kwon Kim's dark past is very interesting and it creates a very suspenseful atmosphere, making you want to watch even more. I love the plot, there should be more of these dramas. The cast was amazing - Dasom, Yeeun etc.The OSTs unfortunately weren't memorable but I guess they're good.

I loved this drama
i was suspicious of the real culprit from the beginning i knew something was off , i loved the chemistry between Lee an and Jae in(they are so cute together) . i am so in love with how cute lee an looks when wearing a long sleeved hoodie. i like the fact that they didn't make things up like the diseases that were said in in the k-drama were real. i kind of had a love-hate relationship with Seong mo i thought he liked (you know.. someone which i cant say since this isn't a spoiler) i was so damn confused when each of them always said my parent not our but now it all makes sense to me.Considerați utilă această recenzie?
I really loved ML, he is actually pretty adorable in personality and I loved his growth overall throughout the drama. FL is pretty sweet too, maybe a tad too serious at times but her story was pretty compelling and most importantly she is pretty competent. The romance between the two was a bit of a weak point. While they did have a connection on screen I felt it leaned more towards the friendship side of the spectrum. But they're cute and well rounded characters with specific motivations so I was okay with them being a couple.
The side characters were pretty solid too. But honestly not very outstanding. They're not something I haven't seen before so they just fall under the good job umbrella. 2ML has a pretty interesting story, but I wish his perfomance was a tad bit more expressive.
The drama had some draggy moments that I wished had picked speed and I unfortunately didn't feel a lot of the urgency towards the end. So the thriller aspect of it is not very thrilling... which is a shame considering the story itself is solid and the acting is pretty nice here so I think it's a bit of a pacing/storytelling problem.
Overall an enjoyable watch. But not something I am going to replay a lot. This is probably a one time watch sort of drama for me.
