Both deal with people changing their outer appearance to fit in with what society deems as acceptable.

The two main leads constantly fail to recognize the one who has truly loved and appreciated the. For who they are, both on the inside and on the outside.

Both are about a popular guy in school (who is oblivious/doesn’t care about him being popular) and who likes a shy girl with low self esteem (because others make fun of her appearance). Both of the male leads also like the girl from the start, and the ML and FL interactions are always awkward but still swoon worthy.
