The synopsis depicts the first season, not this thing
Okay, second season... We have the two main guys... I don't even care about them that much, actually. But they seem happy together. Goody. Then we have some secondary guys... Whose "sex and stupid behavior" I care even less about, lol. Is this 8 episodes only? Goody.Oh! Now I know what's missing. The 'Lazy Subber' commentary. I know. They would definitely comment: "Is he crying AGAIN?" LOL. We have also some new guys. Watching them is maybe less tedious than the old ones... We have the girl who played the "unsuspecting girlfriend" of one of the "I'm not gay!" boys, and didn't get to finish her aspiring romance with the nice, handsome pilot. Shall she have her happy ending now?
I was more or less bored in episode 2 already... The main characters show so far no progress. Also, the previous creepy side-character seems to be main character, now... The background music seems completely random and not very fitting the scenes. I guess they just used whatever was at hand:) This "series" felt half-amateurish in the first season already, now it looks they've really given up on keeping appearances.
"Episode" 3... Okay this is unwatchable. I wouldn't call it a "series" at all and I can understand now why even 'Lazy Subber' renounced this and it got only subtitled by a site that specializes on subbing gay bed scenes (usually they don't bother to sub any episode in full).
The synopsis for this season is actually identical copy + paste of the season 1 synopsis. But maybe it's yet another sign. Better repeat watching the first season, than to watch this thing.

Terrible
I have not say much .very terrible .sex scne can't aattracted the audiance at all. Need to quality story line. Unfortunately this story not satiafied. Whats the duck 1 series bit ok than season 2 . All character lack of acting .expression is 0 .the main character relationship doesnt end here as they hint at the time frame. But i don't think if realease another season will come out so it it uncomplete . the couple could have been so much more. it just feels so waste our time. if i could i would give it half of a star instead of a full one.Considerați utilă această recenzie?
Acting/ cast: I would personally say I like d the acting in the last season more than this, but overall the cast is very CUTE,
Music: I can only say the music has improved
Rewatch value: I personally would rewatch it again only for the smutty scene and because I became to attached to the characters.
Overall: this show isn't that bad, but I have seen better yaoi/bl shows then this

In terms of romance. I really love their stories, From the first season, it was super "kilig" and comedy. But in this season OMG, it's opposite more on drama and really I really can’t stop my emotions from crying. I can't breathe as in
I'm looking forward to season 3 if any. I'm so excited to find out what was inside the box they buried and they will open it after 10 years as their promises.
Really LOVE is SACRIFICE. That's it.

PS. We already know that there are many ways in letting go of the person we love that are not too painful but they chose that.

Disappointed
It’s January 27, 2021 and there’s still no Season 3.This was worse than season 1. I went through both seasons skipping most of the scenes with Oat and Pop, that´s how much I enjoyed the main couple LOL. Still I was super annoyed by them and Pop was a wimp till the end, other people have to take important life decisions for him. I do not get how Mo, Pree and Oat fell for him.
They hyped up the SM enthusiasts with the new couple but gave them nothing at the very end. We don`t even know if they are actual blood brothers or not and they got a half-assed ending like all the rest.
They could have added an episode to show what´s going on with Pree and Bo, did he got married or ended up as Pent's druggie boy toy? But he seemed fine at the ceremony.
At least Mo got a man she deserves.

Continuing the Tradition of Sexually Ambiguous Bros
Here's a tip to aspiring BL writers: Men are rarely confused about their sexuality by the time they turn 18, although, they may not act on it, due to social prejudice and conditioning. So here we have another story of two sexually ambiguous bros, Oat and Pop. (There are many sub-plots with other characters, but I'm only going to talk about their storyline). We suffer through two seasons of "What the Duck" and our heroes barely have a bromance, never mind anything that gets sexual. There is a brief tease of male rape (a scene right out of "The Effect") but at least this one turns out to be a comical misunderstanding. The BL drama formula says that it's fun to watch two guys make out, but let's not let them actually be gay and have a happy ending together. So, this show concludes with Pop departing to become a flight attendant and Oat (after an incredible effort to befriend Pop) decides to ditch him to become ... are you ready for this? ... a Monk. Yes, really. That defies psychological physics. Pop has been pretty well established as straight (he has a girlfriend). It would be a stretch for him to switch teams at age 22. Oat has lots of sex with himself. He could be interested in Pop, but maybe he became a Monk because he knows Pop is a lost cause. (A gay man being attracted to a straight guy is a real life tragedy for many gay men). So there's really only one logical ending to this drama, in the presumed Season 3: Pop: "I really do love you, Oat, but I just can't get into the gay thing." Oat, putting his hand on Pop's shoulder: "Honestly, I don't care about that either, Pop. Just having you as a friend is enough for me." Oat starts to kiss Pop on the lips, but in the last second gives him a peck on the cheek. Amused at Oat's shyness, Pop smiles, stares into his eyes and gives him a bro kiss on the lips. Oat wipes his lips with the back of his hand, "Pop!" They laugh and walk off together. The End. Oreo Puwanai (Pop) and Strong Charoenchai (Oat) manage to create some chemistry together, despite the dysfunctional personalities their characters are given. It's fine to start out that way but by the end of the first season their character arcs should have evolved to be more friendly toward each other. Will there be a season 3? Will our boys get together? I'm not holding my breath. I'll leave them with my suggested ending.Considerați utilă această recenzie?
Maybe it didn't. Maybe it had different writers, different producers, a different production company. Maybe it came from a strange, horrible parallel universe where What The Duck was dark, twisted, disturbing and grimly unfunny.
Not that What The Duck's humour was its best quality. To state the obvious, some of season 1's most powerful moments were not typical campy Thai BL moments involving confused schoolboys, a Boy Sompob OST and a cut to a fish tank. Parts of season 1 were dark. But they were dark in a thoughtful and intelligent way that suggested the writers understood the theme they were trying to explore.
This season's darkness is shallow, almost trite, in its obvious shock value - a kind of second-rate gay soap opera designed to horrify you into watching more.
Assault,
Rape.
Abuse.
Incest.
It does not make me want to watch more. It makes me want to drop it. Which I have.
What a disappointing ending to the series.

Having said that how they ended the season was just extremely disappointing and unsatisfying ????. Each of the storylines for each character was left unanswered in a way that makes you think that the producers ran out of money ???? so the story was abruptly stopped ???? . Extremely frustrating ????to have such a good show without closing its storyline. My hats off to the cast for doing such a great job????. I do hope???? that you’ll all get back together and complete Season 2 the proper way and yes I even hope they’ll be more!!

*SPOILERS*[also contains spoiler for together with me, bad romance characters]
Without having read the original story, I still figured half way through season 1 a perfect ending was probably not going to happen.... Pop’s reactions never hinted at truly giving in.... season 2 was disgusting though....
IF pree/rambo line had been filmed outside of the BL umbrella, it might have had a better reception and got to season 2’s drug/sex parties without being so tasteless. If you want to take a close but fictionalized review of the drug/unsafe sex LGBTQ subculture, just watch Queer as Folk (US) and follow the Ted Schmidt storyline. He takes a painful journey of drugs and unsafe sex (with tenuous consent) and the consequences of putting yourself in a shady situation.
I would rather watch Korn cheat on Knock again before finishing season 2 of this show.
