Engaging Love Triangle
Overall, I liked this drama. I give it high marks for avoiding the worst of the gay cliches. Hai Qing (Aric Chen) is gay and in love with two slightly older men, wealthy and self-centered Fei (Tom Wang) and kind but poor and hardworking Pin Jun (Tim Huang). We're spared the usual BL agony of the characters trying to come to grips with being attracted to guys. Big bonus points for that. There are a couple of gay hate scenes from outsiders, but never more than hazing. We're also spared the cliché awkward bed scenes. Director Adiamond Lee moves the story along quickly and more or less logically. I never felt like the drama was padded with unnecessary scenes to fill time. I would have given the drama a 10 except for the abrupt and confusing ending. I had to watch the final scene a few times to figure out what happened. Apparently, Hai Qing chooses not to pursue either relationship and, instead, goes to America to finishing his schooling. Not the ending I was hoping for, but probably the right choice for the story. It does make sense that 19-year-old Hai Qing is too young to settle down just yet. In the final seconds he's writing a letter to Pin Jun, so we're left to speculate he may go back to him some day. The storyline of Fei's other boyfriend Jimmy (Charles Lin) is left unresolved. Maybe we're being set-up for a sequel? The main characters are well drawn and three dimensional, even the Jimmy and "Pinky" (Zahn Ya Han) characters. The character of Hai Qing's father could have used a few more scenes to better foreshadow the drama's conclusion. Hai Qing's apparent preference for Fei could have used some more exposition. We're left to assume it's more of a physical attraction or perhaps his wealth. It's pretty clear that Pin Jun is his soulmate, though. Happily, this is only 12 episodes so it's worth your time to enjoy the characters and their romantic encounters.Considerați utilă această recenzie?

Not your average BL
A warning is probably called for: this drama contains some triggering events, among which cheating and homophobia. That being said, if you are mature enough to understand that these awful things and awful people are a part of life and living, you will be fine and appreciate the complexity of this drama and the care that was put into making it.When Haiqing and Fei meet, its love at first sight. They share a kiss and can't forget about each other for over a year, Meanwhile Haiqing meets Pinjun, who is just the greatest guy ever, with looks to match, so they get together. This would have been the ens of it, were it not that Haiqing met Fei first, and Pinjun is simply too late to receive Haiqings heart. Even though there are absolutely deep feelings, its not like the heartstopping BIG LOVE he has with Fei. So as soon as they meet again after over a year, they don't waste time and start an affair.
The first few episodes is all about the question "when will they meet again and what will they do then" after they meet again, the theme changes to "who will be hurt the most and how will it happen". The struggle of mainly Haiqing is heartwrenching, especially in interactions with elders like his dad and Fei's mother (who is not as fragile as Fei thinks she is).
The end was mildly disappointing, as I think I missed Haiqings reasoning for doing what his father suggested. The message is clear: love hurts, you better make sure you are ready to deal with everything is has to offer, good or bad. I would not mind a sequel though... Although it is not really a bad ending, I would like to see a really good ending.

It's good at first with conflict, but it's quite cliche at the end. I'm dissapointed with the final episode because my two couple are torn apart. I felt hurt after watching it. It isn't bad, but something went wrong from my point. If just the story changes, there're no characters gonna hurt in this drama. They all deserved love and caring. I feel bad for the ones who got dumped. Even at the end in the drama tried to make it happy, but we all know it's not. It's good at first with conflict, but it's quite cliche at the end.

I don't think this series is a fairy tale (it doesn't end like that, it's HUMAN) and it's not really for teenagers. It's a great series for adults, not just for men who like men, untwisted, well-flowing, no frills, no Asian affectations, HUMAN.
I was most captivated by the fates of the characters, and apart from the memorable supporting roles, of which there were several, it was the four main characters (all four actors were 25 or 26 years old at the time of filming). They were excellently, sensitively and civilly played, portrayed, each one was different. If I had to highlight, I was most impressed by Aric Chen as Hai Quing and Charles Lin as Jimmy.
The visuals of the characters, the masks, the hairstyles, the costumes - in one word, amazing.
Anyway, I recommend it to almost all GT users, because this piece can't possibly offend anyone...
Láska je laskavá. Láska vždy nemá šťastné konce. Láska někdy bolí. A štěstí ...?... to má limit.

Story start with a meeting of stranger ,at first meeting they fall in love and at first meeting they separated with eachother and move towards own life but still they have eachother in their memories but at this point ,Yan Fei was wrong because he alreqdy live in relationship with jimmmy since two years ,if he had someone in his heart and mind so he should break up with jimmy but still he continue to live with him .on other side Han also get someone to whom he lived for 1years untill he met with Yan Fei . He and jin loved each other a lot this had been shown but as soon as Yan Fei appeared he and Yan Fei forgot their partner and so easily they breakup with them , it was difficult for Han to breakup because he was not sure about his feeling ,he loved both of them but he betrayed Jin .This was the reason i don't like the story where main lead betray their relationship ,i felt very bad of their partners who loved them unconditional and they just used them.
They showed sister loved also where sister not thought even ones and ready to help his brother .true sister and brother relationship .this part i like the most in the drama
This drama has too much bold scenes because of this i had decided to drop it but want to see the end so i had skip all those scenes and finished the drama in one day ... but at last i don't like it .

The plot is particularly elaborate, with a couple of twists and turns that will keep the viewer enthralled most of the time - though it does break down on occasion; but in all fairness one never knows if this is the result of bad editing, writing or censorship of some sort. The movie nonetheless, remains interesting enough to retain one’s attention in an effective build up towards a surprising ending.
The acting is perhaps what leaves the most to be desired; with the exception of the actors Ting Xuan Huang and Charles Lin, both of them credited as supporting characters but holdings large roles. The two main characters, on the other hand, do not live up to the parts they play, especially the extraordinarily handsome Ting Yun Wang - who is always striking a pose. The actor Aric Chen, who plays Su Hai Qing, is also a disappointment.
Another drawback in an otherwise interesting movie is the poor quality of the mise en scène components. A super rich top executive driving an old Audi in need of wax polish? LOL (and what is with his suits making a perfectly good looking heartthrob look like a stooge?).
On the more positive side, I must mention that the lesson learned from Chen Ping Jun’s (played by Ting Xuan Huang) actions at the end of the movie are a lesson in what true love is really all about. The ending is what made the movie a movie I won’t forget.

This bl story is a bit different than regual bl dramas. It's realistic, which might get boring at some times but I still enjoyed watching it. Almost all of the characters had some major flaws just like normal people, which was a breath of fresh air. I think it's a great change to show real, different personalities. The visuals were satisfying and created a pleasant atmosphere. The actors did a great job.ALSO the ending really got into my head. Of course it was pretty unsatisfying but that's what would happen in real life. And it made me realise that going abroad to study in some big, fancy city abroad might only sound exciting and fun but in reality it's the people that you love that make your life a better experience so if you find someone you feel happy with you maybe should hold on to them.

Since I could not force myself to watch through this entire drama I can't comment on what plot happens after episode 3, but I will say that there is nothing in the first three episodes that make a person want to keep watching.
