if u r not into slow drama or u don't want to give it a try, it's not for u

i admit that first eps are kinda boring and u would gonna think if they portray in cringy the 'trauma' in the storyline (coz obv it's not just a simple word to talk about). my first impression when I saw the poster, is that I thought of light drama with a plot of having trauma.

honestly, I'm not into slow drama but I realized watching several eps, the plot, the scenes, and how they portray the characters are REALISTIC. it's not having trauma and suddenly being healed bcoz of love, that's not as simple as that. other circumstances happened to their personal, social, and family life and brought them roller coaster emotions that reflect the reality of life.
in terms of acting, I really love how Junho and Jin-ah portrayed their characters so well. at first, u gonna question their chemistry, but nah, they're so good!

This drama made me cry, laugh, and cry huhu and I also learned a lot. This drama is a healing and comfort drama for me.
Life is about risk, pain, sacrifice, and love. Life is so precious. If you're reading this, I hope u overcome the thing u are going through, and be strong. Proud of u!

Why it became my one of the fav dramas and why should you watch it.

OMG!

I am new to Korean Dramas and watch them daily now. I watched Just Between Lovers for the first time and it definitely kept my interest. I was already heart broken when it looked like the character played by Lee Jun ho had died. To my relief his character survived. From my perspective since losing five loved ones during the last three years, the outcome of this movie made me happy. I know it is silly since it is only a movie but seeing positive outcomes keeps me watching Korean dramas. I recently discovered this actor and so far really love his movies. Great acting.

Provavelmente um dos meus dramas favoritos entre os que eu já assisti até hoje.
Eu comecei a assistir sem expectativa alguma, simplesmente porque estava sem nada para fazer em uma tarde de 2018, e acabei me apaixonando completamente! Começando pela atuação do Junho que, para quem o conhece como músico, foi realmente incrível uma vez que não existia mais o Junho ali e, sim, o problemático GangDoo. A história é repleta de drama, melancolia e uma tragédia sem fim. Quando você acha que não vai ter pelo quê sofrer, um acontecimento novo surge e você acaba se entregando ao sofrimento junto dos personagens.
O meu gosto pessoal é muito voltado ao romance, então, para mim, o processo dos dois como casal foi um pouco cansativo. Achei algumas enrolações desnecessárias, mas, uma vez que o desenrolar finalmente começa a acontecer, é incrível de ver como eles são mais do que amantes. Há um apoio emocional um pelo outro gritante e, claramente, os dois se tornam uma base para o outro.
Existe um drama de infância que foge do usual nos dramas, que normalmente envolve pais abusivos, ausentes, problemas com a mãe, etc. É um acontecimento tão trágico e coberto de sofrimento que você ENTENDE o motivo de tanta dor nos protagonistas!
Eu achei que essa dor e esse sofrimento psíquico foi muito bem trabalhado. Eu, inclusive, estranharia se houvesse uma superação fácil de algo tão horrível. E dito isso, eu amei como outras histórias e outros personagens foram inseridos no drama. É incrível a forma como eles exploraram a forma de cada pessoa lidar com uma tragédia, em como as pessoas são diferentes e têm entendimentos diferentes sobre acontecimentos "similares". É uma emoção atrás da outra!
Nos últimos episódios, eu acho que eles acabaram colocando um drama desnecessário, porém compreensível até certo ponto. De qualquer forma, não foi muito influente para o restante da história.
A trilha sonora é INCRÍVEL e certamente foi o dorama com a cinematografia mais bonita que eu já vi, com cenas que fazem você viajar de tão belas.
Por conta de todo o sentimento envolvido e bem trabalhado, a boa atuação, a trilha sonora incrível e uma história que se desenvolveu, num geral, de forma boa, eu dou um 9 de 10.

Miserable and boring

Don't get fooled by this drama's promising start - overcoming past trauma, a touch of intrigue, a promise of a bright future. After just a few episodes, the show turns into a endless loop of misery with characters doing stupid things and refusing to be happy.

Instead of telling a heartwarming story about healing, personal growth, and finding happiness, the plot gets high-jacked by filler arcs, side characters, and the main couple's constant "woe on me" whining. The writers milk the past trauma trope until there is nothing more to milk and completely abuse the use of flashbacks. In the second half, the show turns into a cheesy melodrama full of overused cliches. He breaks up with her and runs away because he loves her. They spend time with rival love interests and avoid each other when they shouldn't. There is no hope and nothing to look forward to because everyone always falls back on being miserable no matter how much they accomplish. The atrocious storytelling culminates with Lee Kang Doo's liver failure due to nose bleeds and fainting all the while he sees ghosts and hears voices.

Moon Soo is unbelievably frustrating and unlikable. She is portrayed as a typical innocent female who is supposed to be extraordinary in her simplicity. In reality, she is selfish, clueless, and has the emotional maturity of a middle schooler. Although, she eventually starts acting her age and dressing like an adult, that doesn't help her character development. She continues living in her little bubble and playing a martyr when it suits her. When she wants Lee Kang Doo to give her attention, she relentlessly pursuits him. But as soon as she is uncomfortable, she gives up and disregards him when he needs her the most. Her ignoring him when he begged for her attention before fainting really highlighted the awfulness of her character.

Romantic chemistry between the main couple is very bland. They hold hands, hug, share a jacket, but as soon as he comes close to her, she recoils like he has cooties. For a righteous nutjob who exudes unapologetic, raw masculinity, it was rather disappointing to watch Lee Kang Doo share such vanilla and chaste kisses with a woman he was so passionately in love with. Lee Jun Ho is so good he can have chemistry with a potato, but even his talent couldn't save the drama from Won Jin Ah's awful acting.

Overall, the fast-forward button saved me, otherwise, I would've dropped this disaster after episode 5. The pacing is slow and the plot is riddled with side arcs completely irrelevant to the main story. I was looking forward to this drama because of the high ratings, now I want all those hours of my life back.

Achei apaixonante

Genteeeê, esse dorama é muito bom, apesar de ter visto algumas pessoas falando que a história podia ter sido melhor e tals eu não acho, pra mim a história foi muito bem explorada ( só faltou a kirida da Won Jin Ah dar uns beijinhos melhores?) e também amei o casal. ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀

.....todo o dilema e o sentimento de culpa que eles enfrentavam decorrente de todo o acontecimeto que teve com eles deu um toque a mais na história.
A Ha Moon Soo se culpa por ter sido ela que sobreviveu e não a irmã mais nova, já o Lee Kang Doo se culpa por ter "abandonado" um jovem lá dentro dos escombros.⠀⠀⠀

Provavelmente esse dorama é em que eu mais me envolvi com os personagens, não tem essa de "vilão" ou "mocinho", eles são complexos e realistas. A trama se desenrola de forma lenta, mas necessário pra compreender os personagens e a forma em que lidavam com a dor e as situações em que os cercavam. Perdi as contas das vezes em que gravei uma frase dita por ser tão inspiradora e bonita, e também perdi as contas de quanto chorei, foram lágrimas de felicidade, tristeza e aceitação.
Aprendi que quando algo tiver que acontecer, ela vai independente da situação, você nunca vai estar preparado, pois a vida é assim. Então em vez de dizer palavras que ferem para as pessoas que te amam, abrace-as e as ame com toda sua força, pois nunca sabemos o amanhã. E mesmo depois de tantas coisas que os abalaram, juntaram os cacos, mesmo quando não parecia possível e tentaram seguir em frente. Me doía ver eles guardavam tanto dor pra si, vi que é importante desabafar suas dores e medos pra as pessoas que amam e assim torna-los menores ao os compartilhar.Esse foram os pensamentos que eu tive após terminar esse dorama.
Não foi apenas um dorama triste, ele teve também episódios engraçados e felizes, uma hora eu ria em outra eu chorava. Adiei muito terminar de o assistir, mas valeu super a pena. E o casal principal se tornou um dos meus favoritos, tão fofos e lindos apoiando uma ao outro, nunca vou me esquecer desse casal. Eles conseguem dar um final que todos os personagens mereciam.
Enfim vou terminar por aqui essas avaliação, pois sinto que vou reviver todos os sentimentos que tive durante e escrever umas 10 páginas kkkk. Vou terminar com uma citação da falas de um dos meus personagens favoritos:
" Assim como o infortúnio vem inesperadamente. Milagres vem do nada, logo quando estamos quase desistindo de ter esperança"

my heart belongs to this kdrama

This will forever be one of my favourite kdramas to exist. I don't think everyone would agree because this kdrama really is quite unique and if you like this type of genres. This was such a tragic, bittersweet, beautiful story as well as a love story. Two people who experienced the same traumatic event yet hurting in different ways and finding each other again and making each other heal by loving each other..its just wow. So beautifully done.

I feel like I could rant about this story for a long time. Its just one of a kind. The actors had so much chemistry with each other and Lee Junhos acting is just phenomenal in here especially when he got diagnosed and yelled in the middle of the street..that scene really stuck with me. Just very beautiful.

Still pissed how they made me think he would die in the end but thankfully that wasn't the case. I'm gonna spend the rest of my life thinking how beautiful their love story is.

Ho una lunghissima lista di drama da vedere per la prima volta eppure mi sono data al mio primo rewatch. In verità volevo recensire questo titolo ma prima di farlo avevo bisogno di essere sicura che si meritasse veramente il 9.5.
Ebbene sì, lo merita tutto.
Quando ho visto per la prima volta questo drama non avevo nessuna aspettativa, ricordo che ero in cerca di qualcosa che non mi avrebbe assorbito completamente. Mi sbagliavo.
La storia, gli attori, tutto è perfettamente incastrato.
Io poi ho un debole per il destino e anche qui ce n'è da vendere. Ho pianto, ho sorriso e mi sono anche innervosita insieme ai protagonisti.
Lee Gang-doo resta per me il personaggio rivelazione, una vita che si accanisce con lui, il sogno spezzato, l'isolamento, i debiti, il sentire di non meritare nulla perché si è sopravvissuti. Difficilmente si potrebbe odiare un personaggio come lui, si diventa empatici, si impara a capire la sua sofferenza, si finisce per soffrire con lui.
Assolutamente da vedere, ma fatelo solo se non siete troppo tristi.

Due to the many good reviews, I probably had too high expectations of the drama... unfortunately it didn't really grab me. Unfortunately, I actually found it rather boring most of the time. A lot of things were dragged out for so long. The many scenes of them just being silent and staring into space were just too common. Towards the end I skipped most of it when there was no talking. Gang Doo and his relationships with the other characters are really great and overall I thought the acting was okay, but the female lead was somehow too... flat and pale for me. I would have liked her to really stand up for herself. I was hardly interested in any of the characters and there are so many storylines for the different characters. It was really a struggle to get through all the episodes when you don't care about most of them. But I'm also not someone who likes to drop series... I certainly can't share the great enthusiasm, even though there are a lot of nice quotes and I can understand why people are so enthusiastic, but the series just wasn't for me.
