Moments of eeriness, goriness and tension are brilliantly scored and backed by. Performances do stand out here by Kang Ha-Neul and especially Kim Mu-yeol, who takes the most amazing piece of the cake.Forgotten is that film that won’t be easily forgotten and even after the credits roll down, it will stay with you. It has its emotional share and mysterious thrilling part, combined well to land a good thriller on its proper runway. A good mysterious thriller with a pinch of emotional moments to fill your visual kitty.
VERDICT _ The mystery reveals that are enough to hook you around. Yes, the latter half or the third act of the film dips but still provides a fair share of curiosity and the answers to inquisitive questions built in the first half.To conclude, this is a film which succeeds in striking a near-perfect balance between both revelation and suspense.

È vero che ho trovato nella svolta centrale della trama una vera forzatura, che è stata introdotta dallo sceneggiatore per spingere la storia dove voleva che arrivasse, ma nonostante questo effettivamente il thriller funziona. I colpi di scena funzionano tutti perfettamente, anzi consiglio di non leggere neanche l'intro di tre righe di presentazione, perché già dà una indicazione di una cosa importantissima; infatti io già mi aspettavo che cosa sarebbe successo ed è un peccato, perché effettivamente, se non lo avessi saputo, il colpo di scena sarebbe stato ancora più spettacolare. E ce n'è più d'uno fino alla conclusione. L'interpretazione come sempre è eccezionale. Tutto sommato lo consiglio, del resto la cartina di tornasole, sul fatto che un film sia fatto bene o male, è se uno se lo riguarda: vuol dire che il film ha colpito nel segno. Effettivamente l'unica nota stonata è che al momento del _clou_ succede una cosa inverosimile, ma pazienza, è un piccolo passaggio che dopotutto avrebbe potuto essere forse fatto diversamente, non lo so, alla fine se la sono cavata così.Considerați utilă această recenzie?
Full of plot twists!
Me gustó, aunque no siento que me haya impactado tanto como lo pintaba en un inicio. El principio parece una historia muy diferente a lo que termina siendo, eso me gustó, pero también me habría gustado saber qué habría pasado sin ese cambio en la historia.Las actuaciones son buenas, los screams también. Te mantiene con el corazón acelerado la mayor parte del tiempo y eso me encanta. Es una película entretenida, te hace saltar del susto y querer saber qué es lo que está pasando realmente.

When you think you understood, you actually didn't, this is what i simply love in this movie. Is full of mystery and i can tell i got scared and screamed LOL, it's really overwhelming!!But it got pretty sad at the end, when you think at least someone is gonna be okay in the end, they died...i got pretty sad about this but i low key like it, because i felt that it represented how the real life can be
I could feel the shame, the sadness, the falsity, the anger, the guilty, everything.

Trilling experience!! Was an unexpected and pleasant one!
Got me hanging off the edge of my seat. Unexpected plot with amazing actors. Finally got a satisfied watch once again! Storyline was succinct yet had many twist and turns to it! Felt like I was solving a mystery during the entire time I was watching it!Will definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a triller and suspenseful movie! It's one that definitely keeps you off guard! I now have a different perspective of things because of this movie haha! Please watch this I promise it wouldn't let you down!

The theme is important
This film has many layers but underneath it all there's one main central theme that people keep overlooking because all they talk about is the "twists" and change of events. The main theme is that this is a TRAGEDY.Once you see the last scene where you see laughs, smiles, an innocence that abounds in the lake countryside, this was a huge tragedy and once you see know how it ends you can't help but feel bad for them. I know everyone wants to talk about the turn in direction, or how they predicted or did not predict the outcome, above it all is how it ends.

"Forgotten" es una película que llegó a mí por casualidad a través de una plataforma de streaming, y me encontré un thriller con toques de terror y ciencia ficción alucinante, de esos que marcan la diferencia dentro del cine de Corea del Sur.Cada giro de guion es más sorprendente que el anterior, la dirección de actores es magistral, y el ritmo de la cinta una delicia, que te atrapa sin remedio hasta el final.
Sin duda hay que seguirle la pista al tal Jang Hang-jun, quien al parecer ha vuelto a destacar en 2023 con la bien valorada "Rebound".

WHAT DID I JUST WATCH
The story starts out calm when suddenly the atmosphere changes. Just when you through you had figured out the plot, a new twist was added. I loved the many turns the story took, which never created a dull moment. Especially the end took me by surprise. I had to sit in silence as the credits rolled to process what I’d just watched.One of the things I liked the most was the acting between the characters. The development of them and their interactions were very interesting to watch. Normally I would never rewatch a movie but for this I think I’ll definitely have to, to get a different perspective.
10/10 recommend!

— i went in blind, & i haven't even read the summary beforehand...i should've. it's confusing at the beginning, but dots start connecting quite nicely somewhere after the first revelation. i don't believe that it could've been confusing to anyone, you just need to pay it minimal attention, at least.— it's strange, & then it's quite horrid but overall it's just heartbreaking. i dislike sibling bonds in movies precisely because it was gut-wrenching to see the dynamic switch between the two brothers after we discover the truth. it's hard to bring your brain out of that illusion once you're convinced that they're blood-related. nonetheless, i liked this movie a lot. my brain glitched for good five minutes after finishing it because you rewind all little details that didn't make sense & you see them in a totally different light.

WHOA!
This is my first Korean movie in months! I’ve been in a K-drama/K-movie slump for such a long time and I didn’t know what to watch to end it. Until yesterday, a friend told me about this brilliant movie she just watched, “Forgotten”. When she told me that “the plot twist was amazing”, there’s no way I wouldn’t watch the movie! Plot twists are always my favorite!This movie was super unpredictable. I thought I could’ve guessed the plot twist, but dang… I was so wrong! The acting was spot on! Kang Ha Neul and Kim Moo Yeol deserved awards for this movie! Just. Brilliant. The music was suspenseful and everything was just perfect!
I would recommend this to anyone who’s searching for a suspensful mystery/thriller with DOPE PLOT TWISTS! Overall, 9 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

They had us in the first half, not gonna lie
First ... my favorite movie. I'm just saying.Second ... what a story. And the end ... man.
I was really blown away by the whole story. Especially good because I’m not some fan of really scary movies, but again I love that it’s dark and a little scary. And this movie had just as much dark as I want. I like that I didn't have to turn my head not to watch for some scenes and be scared afterwards. So it was created for me. Some sentences from the movie still remain in my head. Really cool and extra movie.

Don't watch at night time if you get scared easily
●PLOT VIEWWhy did I even choose this movie to watch at midnight, It scared me to hell but then it was still the first half, while the second half is the explanation of the first half which was fine. It had all the substance of a thriller movie, creepy setting, murder mystery, sci-fi backdrop with a chilling story.
The plot was developed beautifully, I tried making guesses but was not able to predict, Firstly it seemed like a horror genre, then suggest as a murder mystery and then a thriller.it plays with your mind and keeps you on edge until the end. I paused at the point and tried to question what is really happening and who is the elder brother actually, Quite frightening for me. Anyone if finds herself/himself in that situation would probably feel the same. The ending is gloomy, two apparently good guys are eroded in their own created doom.
●ACTING/CAST
All the actors did an exceptional job creating this incredible piece. Kang Ha Neul definitely deserves praise for top notch performance. His emotions, expression was to the point and I actually got swept away with his acting.
●APPRECIATION
The writer-directors did an amazing job with the shift of genre and manipulating the audience delving into a deep dark story.
●REWATCH
This movie deserves a rewatch, but I would not be able to do that because of its excessive and horror moments.
●RECOMMENDATION
This is a movie if for people who want an excellent thriller movie where they had to keep guessing that what's gonna happen. The film had lots of curse words so it should be watched under parental guidance if below 16 and many of the scenes are also violent.
