Touching
Good show, not much cringe or exaggerated moments which is nice. The fighting subplot feels a bit weird and the choreography isn’t always the best but it doesn’t detract from the show too much._______________________ _______________________ _______________________ _______________________

Keepin' it real!
This show goes down easy like a lozenge or whiskey, or whatever is your preference! Park Seo-Joon is one to watch. His last few series are gold. He has the Midas touch due to his a) Masculinity b) Sexiness c) Charisma d) Comedy e) Versatility...Well the list goes on, you get the point. He's different from the typical Kdrama leading man. The show's main question is 'Can men and women just be friends'? And the answer is NO, especially if he was my friend! ;) Kim Ji-won is well cast as they couldn't have a conventional beauty play female lead, it just wouldn't have worked with the storyline. The scenes were they are all kids are so cute in reference to their backstory to present day. I love the honest & real dialogue between the leads as it's sooo romantic & funny, and as only Park Seo-Joon can deliver ( he had a similar effect on me with 'What's Wrong with Secretary Kim'? )I wasn't really convinced by the supporting actors love story, but they only serve as a prop to support the main characters so it's no biggy. They could have used his younger sister more as she was a pivotal motivation for him giving up his dream, but you can't win them all. I really enjoyed the soundtrack, it was very catchy, upbeat & fun which really complemented the drama. But one thing that really impressed with this drama was that it didn't drag! Up until the last minute I was still engaged and I think it was due to the clever plot device that introduces Aera's mum's backstory towards the end which kept it going, however the question of whose mother she was confused me the first time I watched it as I kept thinking is Ko Dong-Man's mother his real mother...whaaaatt??? And it just felt a bit messy. Also because they were freed from the usual Kdrama tropes they had more room to be creative. It's a story of 4 kids who grew up together, yes none of them became super rich and successful by society's standards, but the important point was that they all ended up following their dream and their poverty didn't stop them from accomplishing that, which is a really hard thing to do and I think that's what made this drama stand out, it's about you & me and utilising what we've got to be happy in this world were people can be easily forgotten when they grow up due to financial & family responsibilities.Considerați utilă această recenzie?

A sweet slice of life?
Okay so this was my second time watching this drama and let me tell you I'm not one to rewatch a lot of dramas. So fight for my way is supposed to have a slice of life, romance, friends to lovers trope and it delivers these beautifully.
Nowadays dramas have started reducing the number of episodes which is something I really appreciate and so this time I felt like fight for my way was a bit too long and it definitely could've been cut short a bit.
This drama very beautifully portrays the ups and downs in a ordinary person's life and how there's always better days ahead.
Let's talk about the cast.... they were just amazing I've seen quite a few of their works and they did not disappoint here. They really did a wonderful job portraying the characters and their emotions.
The reason why I've given this drama a 9 and not 10 is just because there's a lot of background secrets and quite a few things that would not normally happen to a person. Also just seeing the leads get looked down upon and devastated and having breakdowns all the time was a bit too much for me.
Overall this is definitely a must watch.

It melted my heart many times
SEO joon never failed to make my heart jump out of my chest
It was exactly what I need to watch this time
It was fluffy, cute with nice plot
But as usual
THE END
It was rush and weird but happy one
I loved the second couple so much as the main couple
the subtitle wasn't great which made the drama wasn't understandable many times
The story was normal but wasn't boring at all
Liked they had normal life away from being rich and arrogant
Highly recommended
Definitely loved it

Cute !
I recently stumbled upon one of the best rom-coms I've ever watched. It all began when I came across an adorable scene featuring the female lead on TikTok. While the storyline isn't groundbreaking, it beautifully revolves around childhood best friends turned lovers. What's unique is how they serve as each other's anchor long before officially becoming a couple, having known each other for nearly their entire lives. Both characters, Ko Dong Man and Choi Aera, harbor individual dreams - Dong Man aspires to be a Taekwondo athlete, and Aera dreams of becoming a television anchor. Despite their undeniable talent, their journeys towards realizing these dreams are fraught with challenges. Their on-screen chemistry is palpable, characterized by playful banter and heartwarming moments that toe the line between sweet and cringy.
As for the second leads, they failed to capture my interest, appearing rather dull in comparison. However, the main actors and actress deliver commendable performances. Ji Won, portraying Choi Aera, showcases remarkable versatility, effortlessly transitioning between emotional, cute, and angry scenes. She's truly a gifted young actress. On the other hand, while Park Seo Joon's acting is solid, I found his emotional depth slightly lacking compared to his comedic prowess. Perhaps this drama didn't fully showcase his range of skills.

Fun rom com that breaks common tropes
This was a fun rom com that breaks a lot of tropes (which I can’t mention because they are spoilers) and it’s refreshing to see that wealth is not the most important thing. (People actually ride the bus!) So the story has more original and likeable characters thanks to a terrific cast.Sure there’s a few plot points that dragged a bit, but overall I liked this a lot more than I expected. It’s funny and it’s got heart and it really tries to shake up the usual characters.

A SOLID DRAMA, BUT I WISH THERE WAS MORE MARTIAL ARTS
I thought this drama would be a sports centered drama, but there wasn't as much MMA as I hoped it would be. That being said, I really enjoyed the drama. I liked the story, cast and the acting. I think the show could have been a little better if there was more attention to the goals the characters were trying to achieve. MMA is an amazing sport, and it felt like the drama didn't do it enough justice. Keeping my inner athlete aside, this drama was a good experience, and it is easy to watch and follow, and has its feel good moments. There are a few minor flaws and issues in the story, but it can be overlooked, and it doesn't have a negative effect in the bigger picture. If you are confused about watching the drama, I suggest you definitely give it a go, but if you are looking for a completely MMA/sports/Action centered show than this is not it.Considerați utilă această recenzie?
You should watch this one.
You would recommend this to others.
You could watch this again, maybe. (i haven't been inspired to as yet)
The lead actress is so spontaneous in her acting that you can't help loving her character. I love the imperfections in all the characters. They have faults and that's endearing for a change. Easier to identify with such characters.
Its a story of struggle and achieving a dream.
Both pairs have amazing chemistry.
It's worth a feel-good watch.

When childhood friends trope WORKS
Let`s not delude ourselves. The plot of this drama is not original nor new in any way. We`ve all seen these tropes before. Childhood friends grow into adulthood without figuring out their feelings for each other and when they do, new problems arise. Yes, the synopsis is nothing new or never seen before. Does that then, mean that this story is not worth a watch?Absolutely NOT.I`ve been thinking about this for days now, in preparation for this review. What makes this drama so appealing to me, when I cannot relate to it in the slightest, nor am I floored by its originality. It`s not overly deep, profound nor that insightful in the long run. Oh, but is it enjoyable. This drama is like that cup of hot chocolate on a cold winter day, which you didn`t even know you were craving. So just what makes this once a hit?
First of all, the cast works wonders with each other, especially Park Seo-joon. These kind of roles really suit him and dare I say, he`s better here than in "What`s Wrong With Secretary Kim?". He`s a likeable goof and a definite comic relief throughout, though Choi Ae Ra, doesn`t fall far behind. I got to admit that I do love the childhood friends to lovers trope a lot. No matter how many times I see it, if it`s done right. And here it is done exactly right and feels organic. You get that feeling of romantic excitement, but it`s comfortably sweet and interesting and not at all on the nose or jumping out for attention. Now, this drama is far, far from realistic. But does that make it bad?Heck no!We all need that feel good drama from time to time and this just about scratches that itch. When it comes to these kind of stories, you NEED good chemistry and likeable characters to keep the viewers engaged. And they knew exactly what they were doing with this one. I do have some drawbacks to this one, like the whole Ae Ra`s mother plot and Seol-hee and Joo-man`s story. They shouldn`t have stayed together in the end I think. Or at least, they should`ve had an open ending prepared for them, giving them an actual opportunity to get used to their new life roles. For Ae Ra and Dong Man it felt right and spontaneous to give them a clear happy ending, but for the secondary couple I`m a bit iffy. Also Dong Man`s mixed martial arts storyline is the best out of all of them and I found myself rooting for him the most, he`s just a riot. Another little complaint that I have to add is that, even though I like the characters from the start, I do feel like at the end, they don`t grow a whole lot, despite having them go through hard stuff. Which isn`t bad in it of itself but I would`ve liked some development in that department.
Soundtrack is okay, nothing spectacular really and the villains are subpar at best, but despite that, there are no clichéd love triangles nor amnesia so I am glad for that.
Is this a drama masterpiece? No, but it excels and succeeds in what it`s trying to be, so it`s good in my book.

Personally, I love simple plots. Less drama. Less complications. It was a good plot. I like how the characters' dreams were unique.
One of the best korean rom-coms which focuses on the main leads, giving equal importance to the side couple as well! A must watch if you're looking for the right amount of romance, comedy, friendship and sport action.
