The main difference is that Age of Youth is centered on a female cast who are roommates while ADSG's is centered on both men and women who are in the same department and meet in college.

Both ensemble dramas about young people in their 20s as they deal with growing up, moving on and overcoming life's struggles.

The male leads got painful pasts just like the characters in "at a distance spring is green". Every characters will reveal their painful story one by one in the episodes later.
