Goblin (2016)

Same actors, and the same theme from the last "death god's love'.
the difference is only in the roles (she's still an actress, but he's a lawyer, instead of being a police officer)

Black *sounds* like a story similar to the Grim Reaper's romance in Goblin. Both are Fantasy Romance. Immortal falling for human love stories. One forgets the other...

**Edit - Black is totally different to Goblin, but the Fantasy, Romance genre remains. Both are also about supernatural entities on Earth and interacting with humans.

- Male lead was a honorable war general in the past life in a historical era, both of them were so loyal, powerful and highly respected, later lead their King/Emperor to have suspicions of their loyalty due to the evil people's manipulation. Both MLs were being killed with treason. (Early episodes in Goblin and One and Only drama)
- In the next life in a modern era, the leads are reincarnated as same people (Forever and Ever drama). Male lead is immortal, so he lives a long and lonely life alone (Goblin).

Both has the same writer, director & even the studio is same.

They have a very similar feel to them (e.g. dreamy, fantasy aesthetic). Main leads are connected by some kind of "fate", and they are capable of changing the future a little. If you liked Goblin, you might like While You Were Sleeping. Also, both dramas can be a bit slow (Goblin is slower in my opinion.)

Both are fantastic dramas.
Both have a theme of impossible love.
-Goblin: He needs to find his bride in order to die and be happy.
-Angel's last mission love: He's an angel and his last mission is to find her true love.
Both handle the relationship between the leads so well.
Both have amazing acting and ost.

Both these dramas are centered on a mythical
and immortal creature who used to be human and whose goal is to find the person who'll be able to help them end the curse they are subjected to.

The dramas are high-budgeted with good acting and high production value and cinematography.

Both stories delve into past lives and reincarnations. Both shows are wonderful, with high-quality cinematography. The romance of both main leads is growing throughout the episodes, and we also get a secondary couple romance plot <3
There's an overshadowing mystery that creeps in within the midpoint of the show.

Both have a poor FL who meets a supernatural ML when she is at her lowest point and falls for him later on.
Also both have a wholesome second lead couple, some reincarnation elements and bromance.

This is a short Web Drama starring Kim Junmyeon from EXO. It has much comedy aspects. It involves grim reapers and loving the living which might be something viewers of Goblin might enjoy. Quite funny, very heart breaking. 100% Enjoyable.

The main lead in this drama is a grim reaper with a heartbreaking past romance with the female lead, and in Goblin the second male lead is also a grim reaper who has a similar story with his love interest.

It is similar in terms:
-that both male leads are immortal
-that the female leads are the only one that can aid them. In Goblin, the fl is the only one that can help ml obtain death while in IAMTYYATS fl is the only one who can suppress ml's mutation.
-in Goblin, ml has 1 whole family generation that looks after his every need and also in IAMTYYATS, ml also has a whole family generation looking after his every need.
-both dramas ml are filthy rich
-both portray a older man/ younger female dynamics
-both fls are very outgoing and cheerful

of their mythology! Both dramas have incorporated the heavenly (and hell) beings to their story. Though they don't exact;y have the same conflict going on, both dramas have a matter-of-life-and-death conflict to deal with.

And though I like Goblin, Arang is still the number one on my list when it comes to a resolution for a love that transcends death.
